Five More Minutes

I recently offloaded baggage that I had been carrying around for years. Digital Ghosts were haunting me on my camera reel and in my icloud storage and finally I had enough. It was time to hit delete.

Several years ago I met someone online, his name is Yoshi Momoki. He had just opened a Tennessee Volunteers themed bar in Tokyo, Japan. I reached out because I thought it was so cool and I wanted to send him some swag he could hang in his Good Ole Tennessee Bar. Over the years I have watched his instagram account explode and see all kinds of Vol fans make sure to stop by and get their picture with our favorite Japanese VFL. Today I...

I had some time to kill this morning so I decided to walk around Target for a few minutes, just to see what they had. I had to leave after about 15 minutes because the entire store was in such disarray my brain could not handle it. Have you noticed more and more places are messy and feel neglected rather than neat and tidy?

Happy New Year! I didn't want to spend my first Monday of the year trying to protect my identity from being stolen but that is exactly what I did. It took about two hours of time and energy and the stress of the situation definitely shortened my life expectancy but I think I succeeded in protecting myself. I'll let you know for sure in 30 days.

Its a new year of pods! Make sure you subscribe and leave a 5 star review. If I mi...

For the last 57 years people from all walks of life in Knoxville, TN come together to bring the story of the birth of Jesus Christ to life. The cast is made up of 120 volunteers, the choir is 150 voices strong and the animals add the "cherry on top" to the dramatic recreation of the Christmas story.

How did the Nativity Pageant become a thing in Knoxville? What does it take to make this event not only happen but make sure it ...

One thing I did not mention in the pod (because I actually did it Thursday and it was glorious, is go a drive through the mountains before all the leaves fall off the trees.)

Technology is getting weirder and weirder. In the past couple of months I have had two encounters with the Meta glasses. In one instance I had a very negative emotional reaction to seeing them and in the other I had no emotional reaction at all. So what does it mean?

Back in June there was story on the local news about Rodney Lee. He had a heart attack while out on a local Knoxville nature trail. He encountered a Good Samaritan, Zach during his ordeal and Zach was able to assist Rodney until EMTs arrived. After his hospital stay, Rodney was on a mission to thank Zach. This is Rodney's story.

Thank you Rodney for your candid conversation. I have been fascinated by yourstory since first rea...

I have a guest today! Maddie Payne owns Statemint West Knoxville, a franchise of the Statemint Universe that started here in Knoxville. (It's thrifting on steroids) Maddie tells me all about being a female entrepreneur, why she's in the consignment business and other fun stuff. We also bonded over not knowing what to wear after having kids (Seriously a bigger deal than I ever could have imagined).

Statemint West Knoxville is open f...

I grew up listening to Sawyer Brown and I thought Mark Miller was an absolute dream boat. I also thought the "Race Is On" was a Sawyer Brown song until I was in my 20's and so did another country superstar. We talk about the Hey Day of Sawyer Brown, how they got discovered on tv before there was American Idol and why 90s country is the best.

Thank you to Mark for the time and if you want to see Sawyer Brown on June 6 here is ...

Currently I am obsessing over a baby shower I am hosting the first weekend of May. I want everything to be perfect but it is a lot of pressure. This is also the first event I have hosted in the "Instagram Era" which adds a whole other layer of "you better get this right" anxiety.

Please tell me to chill or send me your Go To Rules of Hosting, my email address is 5moreminutesWIVK@gmail.com and while you are at it, go ahead and...
