Darkness is easy to see in our world, and can quietly lure into our hearts. Even though Jesus stepped into our darkness so we would never have to live there (John 3:16–21), people often choose their own way over the Light and find themselves walking in darkness. The good news is that in Christ, we have been called out of darkness and into His marvelous light.

Your identity shapes your reality. The stories of Peter, Moses, Harriet Tubman, and Jesus all reveal the power of living from God's future, not from our past.

Join us in Chapel Hill as Head Pastor Matthew Bollinger explores how living from who God says we are—even before seeing it fulfilled—changes how you we act, think, and believe today.

Psalm 23 is a powerful psalm for today. It reminds us that being led results in fruitfulness and that honesty and surrender cultivate restoration. True success begins when we stop trying to control our lives and let the Lord be our Shepherd King. Essentially, Psalm 23 is David sharing how he lived, what sustained him, how he stood strong, and why he finished well.

From the opening moments of the creation of the world in Genesis 1, before the sun or moon existed, God established light, revealing not just what light is, but who the Light has always been: Himself. In Revelation 21, the story comes full circle as God once again is the light, illuminating eternity without need of sun or moon. Though God separates Himself from darkness, He never separates Himself from us. He is the Light who steps...

There are countless voices in the world we live in trying to shape how we see ourselves and our lives. Through the parable of the good soil and the conversations that follow (Mark 4:3-25), Jesus helps us understand that what we choose to hear is so important to our ability to have productive and fruitful lives. When we listen to His Word, and take it to heart, it produces real, lasting fruit. The closer we listen to Jesus, the more...

The Lord asked Moses, "What is in your hand?" (Exodus 4:1–5). Like any shepherd, Moses carried a staff to guide and protect the sheep. It was simply a tool for his everyday life. Nothing spiritual, just ordinary. Who you are and what you have may seem ordinary, but when placed in God's hands and used in obedience, it becomes more than enough—it becomes supernatural.

Everything begins with a thought. A thought is like a seed that develops into understanding, and our understanding ultimately influences what we speak (1 Corinthians 13:11-12). Many things in life are either birthed or aborted by the words we speak.

Join us in Mooresville as Head Pastor Byron Wicker encourages you to seek the Lord's perspective on your life, and to let that be your guide post.

God reveals Himself as light even in the darkest moments. At Hanukkah, God miraculously caused a single jar of oil to burn far beyond what seemed possible, signaling His presence has returned to His people. But that miracle pointed to something greater. When Jesus came, He didn't just bring light, He was the Light—a light which would never run out and could not be overcome by darkness. This Christmas, we celebrate the miracle of li...

In Paul's letters to Timothy, he urges the young pastor to not neglect the spiritual gifts God placed within him, but to actively stir them up and fan them into a flame. Spiritual gifts are not something we conjure up, they are given by the Spirit as God's provision to equip us for the good works He prepared in advance for us and to build up the body of Christ.

Christmas is the annual season for giving. Why did the Wise Men from the East bring gifts to Jesus? They came to sow extravagantly into the life of this newborn King. This Christmas, we have the same opportunity.

In the Old Testament, a Shunamite woman built a room for the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 4). She recognized God's grace in his life and chose to create a space for him. This is a powerful message. When we set aside space in our hears and daily routines, we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and shape us. Just as in the story of the Shunamite woman, the Holy Spirit works in remarkable ways.

David sang, "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases?" (Psalm 103:1–3 NKJV). How do we "tap into" His benefits? By believing and acting on every word He has spoken in Scripture, and every word He is speaking to us today.

The Book of Job represents the question that humanity continually asks: Where is God when life falls apart? Is God truly good? Can we trust Him when we don’t see His blessings? Job expresses humanity's cries in the darkness. Jesus is the answer to these cries. Just as Jesus entered our darkness on the cross and experienced what we feel, abandonment, we may sometimes lose awareness of God's presence. However, He never abandons us or...
