Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Thank you for listening to Community Access. They
have a bunch of people in studio this morning. Want
to say hello to multi Family James, to Anthony Brown
from a Nice Touch Auto Detailing, to Sweetie Bell, and
to Lewis Aguiza from Flash Roofing. Good morning, morning, morning morning.
So now there's an event going on. It's called the
(00:21):
Mother Esther's Foundation presents the Wealth Weekend. Yes, ma'am, what's
that all about?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
So?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Wealth Weekend is about getting small businesses together. Let's stop time,
let's effectively network. Let's talk about how to really build business.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Why is that so important?
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Because there's a lot of small people with ideas, right,
I'm say small. The business is small. No one is small.
They have ideas, but they don't know where to go
with it. Probability right, So nine out of ten people
fail within three to five years. I've built a real
estate business. I've been in to business for ten years.
(01:00):
The things that I learned along the way that's gotten
me here. I want to give back. Right, I have
my foundations. What we're doing. Let's talk to the small
business owner. What's your idea. Let's take that idea and
I'm going to show you how to build it, and
it's going to make sense to you within these three
to four hours of the show. That's what Twealth Weekend's about.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
So there's three big shows on the weekend of Friday,
April twenty fifth through Sunday, April twenty seven. Yes, ma'am,
where are they taking place?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
So Friday is going to be in Southernton, Connecticut at
the American Legion. The Saturday show is going to be
at Rendezvous and Waterbury at I believe it's eighty seven
Industry Lane, and then we close out on Sunday at
Mint and Ansodia.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
If you'd like more information, you can go to Wealthweekendevent
dot com, ma'am. So tell me what's taking place throughout
the day on those days.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
So what's taking place is close my eyes. We get
you in the door, get you to believe in the event.
You come in, we shake your hand, we let you
get comfortable, and then we say, all right, you have
let's say one hundred people to meet, and I hold
you accountable to meeting as many people as you can.
Now you can talk to me the whole time, but
I'm not going for that, and I'm not gonna let
(02:14):
you go for that, you're gonna meet somebody new. There's
no wallflowers, no clicking up. This is die hard networking.
We have food so you'll be able to eat, get
comfortable food, and drink. Once you network enough, once we
feel you networked enough as a group, as an audience,
then we start the show and we're gonna take entrepreneurs
(02:36):
who've been in the business, who are very successful, and
we're gonna talk about topics that are really relevant to
now and relevant to your business right now.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
So who are some of the live speakers.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
So we have Jamika Jeffries, who is a power broker,
self made millionaire broker. She's done deals with Michael Jai White,
the martial artist. We have Handy Luigi who is a
very successful accountant and Fearful County. He also does construction.
(03:09):
He's a guy who's come up with me, you know,
back in twenty fifteen, like we worked at a boiler
room in Connecticut, So it's just nostalgia having him on
the show. We also have Risbee Drayton, which is he's
a founder of Asset Allies. He's someone who does a
lot of real estate out here. But you really don't
know unless you're in the circle. But he has a
(03:30):
lot of key ideas that can help the small businesses.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
And you also have live performances.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
We do have live performances, So won't we have one
of our performers on the left of me? Sweetie Bell?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Hey, guys, how you doing.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I've known her for who my gosh, how long enough time?
She has a great voice, and she's going to set
the move because everything is an environment, right it's our
little circle small business. Someone has to sound good, so
we leave that up to her.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
You know.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
At the end of the day, music is like love
is a universal language, you know. It's one of the
main ways to bring people together, and for things like
this where networking is a must, you know what I mean.
It's just way easier when everyone's feeling good and groove exactly,
you know, And I'd just like to share that with
everyone as well. So I'm glad I'm even a part
of this, and I'm so honored to James for being
(04:22):
able to be.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
A part of it.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
But yes, I'm very excited, and you feel me.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
What can we expect from you?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Belle has a great It's just she's worked with me
so many times, you know, I had a lot of
people to choose from, but she's the most professional singer
that i've and I can reach out to word Like
most people, you really don't want the ego like I
want to show her right because she's a singer. How
this relates to small business, Music is a business in itself,
(04:52):
and we have some speakers as well. They are going
to talk about that, you know, and this will be
beneficial for me exactly how to generate revenue with your
voice instead of hoping and dreaming, you know, when you're
running around doing all these shows that don't make sense.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah, and hopefully yeah, So my presence there hopefully will
inspire other people like me, you know, starting off small
that want to do what I'm doing to network as
well and learn more things to grow their own business
within their whatever they like to do, you know, whether
it's singing, dancing, art, jewelry making, you know what I mean, candles, stuff,
(05:25):
whatever it all applies.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Okay, So we also have one of my key sponsors
for the Wealth Weekend. I met him at a networking
event and you know, he just connected. He has a
roof in business, young fellow. I'm gonna want to introduce
him So this is Lewis a flash roofing.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Hello everybody, my name is Lewis with Flash Rufed. I'm
very very happy with to be working with James Multifimi
named James. We're ready for a wealth weekend. All I
really wanted to say is well, family owned and operated
company right here in Connecticut. We're our headquarter is in
the Prospect, but we work all over Connecticut from Stanford
(06:07):
to New London, New London to Putting On Putting up
to Cana Deanbury and then go back to our dai.
We serviced all over Connecticut and like my phrase says,
how's your refrow? So we love We're a dog company.
So I mean, I'm really happy to be working with you.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Thank you, and I can't wait.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I'm there's gonna be a big, big We're I'm ready
to share everywhere.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I know this is huge.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
I wish when I started my business three years ago,
I wish I had somebody like Multi Family Jays like
invite me, say hey, we're doing this. I tell everybody
when I.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Me a new.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
When I be when I mean a new business person,
I tell them like, uh, the people you hung out
with is really important. The people people you hung out
is important, important and important. So everything has to be
like people you hung out with. And that's why I'm
really happy to be working.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Net was your network is your net worth, So exactly
appreciate Flash for stepping up and becoming a sponsor.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
All right, no problem, man, right, very happy, thank you?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
All right. So I want to introduce one of my
key sponsors, Anthony of a Nice Touch Auto Detailing.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Yes, sir, yes, sir. I just want to say I
appreciate you forgiving me the opportunity. I'm Anthony from a
Nice Touch Auto Detailing. I've been detailing for over eighteen years.
I've been doing it professionally for the past seven I
literally traveled to the United States, well various parts of
the United States learning my craft. So from Windowton and
(07:39):
Tom Repair, ceramic coding, vinyl wraps, PPF, anything to do
with the car, we pretty much do. So thanks.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
What I have to bring to And where's your business?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
My business is located in North Haven, Connecticut, fifty United Drive,
literally right around the corner from the movie theaters.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
How has working with multi family James affected your business?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
So he has definitely been a breath of fresh air.
We linked up, I'd probably said a couple of months ago, yeah,
and pretty much didn't look back. Like I said, we
definitely have our minds are technically the same.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
But yeah, I appreciate you, Anthony, thank you so much
for believing me.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
You already know so multi family James, how did you
come up with the Mother Esther's Foundation? Why did you
decide to do this?
Speaker 3 (08:32):
So now I've been working hard for the past ten
years and I've taken contact, you know, I've fallen enough
time to understand that everything is a process. You know, Monetarily,
I'm taken care of. But I need to sleep good
at night because I know where I come from. So
I wanted to build a nonprofit that could teach someone
(08:55):
and I can do what I want to do, you
know I can. If it's going to schools, I can
do it. It's just a reason for me to get
out the house and give back. So with this wealth
we can we're doing. It's my give back because I
love small businesses. I like when I hear their ideas
and hear how bad somebody wants it, and I can
go and I can say, hey, you know, I got
this event here, just give me four hours of your time,
(09:18):
not the three days. You could just choose one, but
give me four hours and tell me what you really think.
If I've impacted your life in a minute of that,
that's I can sleep good at night. No, because when
I came up, I didn't have anybody to teach me anything, unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
So so you're going to use what you've been through.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
To how exactly Like there's people out there now who
just don't have the information, Like they're stuck because they
don't have it, right, But you can't give them information
because remember, you have to feed your family, right, everyone's
on this I ninety one or going to world. I
would stop, but I can't because I have to provide
(09:55):
for my family. I can stop now and say how
much time do you need? Let's just do it, you know.
It's let's get back to being kind to each other,
not being pressured to do things. No, I just that's
what my mother esther is. Let's whatever you have, whatever
gifts you have, let's just stop time and see what
you have. If just let's say something. If if it
(10:17):
was you and you want to do something, there's something
that you're passionate about. So let's say you have a gift.
There's something that you're passionate about. We can have this foundation.
You can come to me and we can put something together.
You knows it's open ended. I want people to come
to me and what are your dreams. Let's get there.
Hopefully that saved the whole conversation. But it's a selfless foundation.
(10:40):
I don't have that many people around. You know. Hopefully
this helps people and it gets people around.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
So if you're a business owner, if you're thinking about
becoming a business owner, this event is for you. Three
days worth. You're just going to get poured into. Get
that amazing advice, yes ma'am, and the tools and to
equip you to go out and make this wonderful like
what you've done exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
And I'm you don't need to fall as many times
as I'm falling, like you really don't.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
But the great thing is that you got back up.
How'd you get back up?
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I got two children, I got a spouse, so think
about three. There's three plates I gotta be. They don't work.
For the plates, I have to do it. There's no
one's gonna say, hey, James, I got you. No one's
ever told me they got me. I've been stabbed in
the heart. I've been through that. No, but let me
(11:36):
get the chance to talk to you. Come to Wealth weekend. Right,
you don't got the fall again, Like I said, you
don't want the fall as many times as a falling.
You have the resources, you do better than I did.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
So is there a cost for those three days?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Well, I have a foundation. I'm just looking to raise
money like I'm trying to raise Like, if you have
your hand in your pocket, you're probably not going to go.
But if you want some thing, right, hold me accountable
forgiving you something of value. Make the donation. We have
it catered. Hold me accountable. If you came here and
you didn't get anything, nobody shook your hand. It's my fault, right,
(12:14):
I got the wrong people. But I have to put
a price on it to get the right people in
the door. That's just how it is.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Of course, I mean. And when it's a foundation, that's
how you pay your speakers and you pay for the
lights and the food and everything else. That's okay, that's understandable.
What is the cost?
Speaker 3 (12:30):
You know? Right now the tickets are running for thirty okay,
Like we've been running through a lot of tickets guys,
don't wait like you're coming to the door and you're
building your business. What's it worth to you? Right? Let's
say you're a roofer. Your client's paying you twelve to
fifteen thousand. You never get that by holding your hand
in your pocket. I'm sorry, like I'm just being this business.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
No, no, no, listen. I've been doing this for over
thirty years and thirty dollars is nothing. They could be
one hundred and fifty dollars a day for this great
advice that they're about to say.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
That position is key. That's why I have to say it.
One of the losses of attraction is you push something away.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Now.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
I don't want to know why this is for the
right person. You know how big your business is, you
know how small your business is. You know what you want,
get what you need out of wealth weekend. It could
be something different for you, something different for you.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
I'm speaking with Multifamily James. We also spoke with Anthony
Brown from a Nice Touch Auto Detailing, also Lewis Aguiza
from Flash Roofing and Sweetie Bell, who's going to perform
that day. There's three big shows going on Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
April twenty fifth, twenty sixth, and twenty seventh. All different
locations go to Wealthweekend event dot com. Thank you so
(13:45):
much for being here today, for sharing your story and
wanting to pay it forward and helping all of these
local businesses.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Thank you so much for having me here.
