The third commandment, you shall not take God's name in vain, might include swearing, but it goes much deeper. It goes to the heart of what it means to bear well God's name and image to the world.
God doesn't need temples, altars, or any other object to bear his image to the world because he already has image bearers: Us! Follow along as we continue our examination of the 10 Commandments with the second commandment, "You shall not make for yourself an idol."
