What a weekend! Ellie Hoitink puts on a masterclass at the Oceania Triathlon Championships, Jackson Medway wins the u23 Oceania TT Championships, Matt Greenwood dominates the u23 Oceania Road Race Championships, Bailey makes his return to top level Australian Cycling, Josh Perdrisat runs at the Australian Athletics Championships, Jake Rowbottom cycles across the Victorian border, and me... well, I won a crit!
The countdown to my European campaign is on! I am busy finalising all the logistics, while building my fitness to an all time high. Working through my final University assignments has also been a high priority.
Bailey and Ellie are set to race Oceania Championships, and I cannot wait to watch them perform!
I finally reflect on the unfortunate outcome of Geelong IRONMAN 70.3, before sharing some of my more recent family adventures that helped me reset. My sights are now set on my European racing campaign, while also finalising my university degree.
Ellie finishes 4th (3rd Australian) at the Oceania Triathlon Sprint Championships, Bailey completes his biggest training week since his T1D disagniosis, and I celebrate my 25th Birthday. An action packed week before turning my attention to the Australian Long Course Triathlon Championships at Geelong IRONMAN 70.3 this weekend. I am really looking forward to racing at home!
As Jake prepares to cycle approximately 2700km in just three weeks, he joins me to share all the insights into his upcoming journey. Not only is Jake riding to fulfill his own sense of adventure, but he is also raising funds for two fantastic charities.

From battling the crosswinds, to a nasty blister, Mooloolaba Triathlon provided quite the mixed bag. Through all the chaos, I was stoked to secure the final step on the podium. I hope you enjoy all the insights from my perspective!
Following a highly successful summer of cycling, it was a pleasure to have Jackson on the podcast. In just 12 months, he has progressed from competing in C Grade, to debuting in the World Tour peleton. With such a rapid rise thus far, it seems the sky is the limit moving forward!

From racing off the front, to a memorable sprint finish, New Zealand really had it all! A fantastic day resulting in a third place finish to close out racing for 2023. With just 51 seconds seperating the top three, it sure was a race to remember.
What a location for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships next year! I cannot wait.

I gear up for Taupo IRONMAN 70.3, my final race of the season. While my body has been a little bit up and down since Challenge Canberra, I am looking forward to closing out the year in style.
