This is CEOs you should know, powered by iHeartMedia. My name is Matthew
Hoffman. I am President of theGenesis Foundation for Children. Our foundation was
started forty one years ago by doctorMurray Feingeld, who in his practice was
seeing more and more children with difficultto diagnose, rare complex disorders, kids

(00:21):
who are often unable to be helpedby other facilities just because they don't have
the resources, they don't have theexperience, and they don't frankly have the
money to be able to afford this. In addition to a medical clinic where
we coordinate our patients care, wedo our best to have all exams and
tests, scans, surgeries, etc. All in one day so that parents

(00:44):
don't have to go to the hospitalmultiple times during a given period. Even
an institution like Mass General Brigham thathas tremendous resources, the genetics department is
not a money maker for the hospitaland so they look to us to bridge
the gap. They have about athousand patients a year who come through their
door to have coordinated care we provide. Obviously, our goal is to be

(01:07):
able to help all of the patientswho come through the genetics division, and
that is a huge reason why weask everyone to donate as generously as they
can to the Genesis Foundation so thatwe can help all of these children.
