Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wouldn't it be so nice to ride a horse You're
about an hour away from the city and then ride
it to a winery. Oh yeah, M three winery. It's
brand new and the founder's husband and wife. They've been
in love since they were seventeen years old from Orange, Texas.
Two of the nicest, hardest working people. A wedding in
your future. You might want to check these people out.

(00:21):
I met Angie not too long ago out at your
beautiful new.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Wine event venue wine Tasting.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Just this beautiful bit of heaven out in the country,
a little bit beyond Sealy in a place called cat Spring.
You and your husband and I learned you guys have
been dating since you were seventeen are just now living
the dream. You're just you have worked hard. Your husband
was in the military than in law enforcement. And Angie,

(00:52):
what were you doing while he was busy guarding people
and protecting the public?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Were are you?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Were you getting involved in retail or were you in
the events arena?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Actually, I have been in the retail industry since nineteen
ninety three. I had been a clothing clothing industry, clothing
manufacturer as well as a retailer. Yes, so coming up
on thirty five years. Been doing it a long time,
all right, now.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
So you'd go to California because you loved Sonoma and
Napa and the wine country. And your husband, coleburn what
you were talking about that you're both from Orange, Texas
wanted his dream was to men, Now, if you're gonna
have an event center, I'm gonna make wine. And this
is what you two are now living the dream. So

(01:42):
while you and I and you can watch videos of
Angie going around her event area right when you had
their big kickoff party building a tent.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And I saw the video. It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
And you're just this high energy lady while your husband
is making amazing It's a beautiful relationship that you two
have created.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Well, I appreciate that day that Dana, you know what
it is. It is a beautiful relationship. But it has
certainly gone through trials and tribulations of course, much like
those much like those grapes do on that vine. And
I think that is why I have absolute respect for wine,
because I know what it takes to finally make in

(02:26):
that bottle.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
And that's kind of like our marriage. It has been.
It has been thirty one years of lots of different tests,
So those grapes are tested every day. They go through
all sorts of things. But at the end of the day,
we have certainly held on. And I do feel like

(02:49):
God's hand is in the midst of everything. And I
think a lot of it has to do with the
fact that we just don't quit. You know, it's funny
you say that I've been married almost forty years and
I said to my husband, you might give up, but
I never will. I was taught by my dad, who
did not believe in Jesus, about perseverance, and I persevere.

(03:09):
And so when I meet these high energy people like
you and your husband, and I only met your son.
You've got three kids, right, that is correct, So handsome boy,
thank you very much. M Three is McClellan to the
third power. We have three children, Walker, Bronson and Mamie Grace.
And our motto is God gathering in gratitude. So my

(03:30):
favorite number is three for many reasons. And you and
I can discuss that one night over a beautiful bottle
of wine. But yes, so that is how we arrived
in kat Spring, Texas. Was a dream and a compromise.
It truly was a dream and a compromise. I wanted
a wedding venue and he wanted a winery, and so,

(03:52):
as you know in marriage, we had to compromise. So
here we have M three Ranch and M three our
wine tasting room is located inside in three Ranch the
property itself.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
And I want to let people know when we were
at a wine tasting Saturday night with a wine and
chocolate tasting, I will have your chocolateear on my podcast.
She's a local lady, moved here from Canada and her
whole life is chocolate, which is the way it has
to be. You offered to you do wine tastings as
a gift, and for thirty three dollars per person you

(04:29):
can come. Angie is so knowledgeable.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I saw a video of you.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I think you were in Napa maybe with this beautiful
black dress. You had a gorgeous cross necklace, and I'm
thinking you are good, but you're talking about the kind
of the science behind the wine making. It was very,
very great video, and I know Colburn was doing the
camera and I just learned so much. And so people
can come out to this beautiful country estate and have

(04:56):
a wine tasting featuring beautiful Angie.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
All offering all the info.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
And I loved when you said, you know, you might
think you only drink white, but I might offer you
a little red and it could change your mind.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
It's just a great experience.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
I think that is no matter where you are. And
you mentioned when when Colburn and I were young and
lived in California, we were married in nineteen ninety three,
we did not know anything about wine and we started
and you know, we just we don't want people to
be intimidated. So we want you to come out no
matter where you are in your wine journey and experience it.

(05:30):
That's what it is. It's an experience. You may say,
I just don't think I'm going to like you know,
I tried wine and I don't think I'm going to
like it.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But maybe you.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Didn't try this wine. And so there's so many different varieties.
The wine makers do so many amazing things to bring
out different flavors. And I do think you kind of
you know, you go through it until you find something
that you do like. And if you don't find that
wine is in your palette, then at least you have
the experience and the knowledge that you can say, you

(06:01):
know what, I tried it, and maybe you just want
to come out and have a glass of sweet tea,
fish in the pond and enjoy the property itself. And
there is certainly that aspect to M three Ranch as well.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
That is awesome. And you're right next to bliss Wood
Bed and Breakfast. What a book.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
What you do is you ride a horse from this
acreage and then you come on over to M three and.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Have a wine tasting. It's a beautiful gift package.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
It's been a beautiful partnership to watch to see what
bliss Wood has to offer as far as the horseback aspect,
and it is nice. I mean, where can you go
an hour and twenty minutes out of downtown Houston, Saddle
up on a horse, kind of get away from the concrete,
collect your thoughts, kind of look up at the sky

(06:50):
and the stars, ride over and enjoy some award winning wine.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I might actually have.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Three Cabernet Sauvignon to die for. All of them are
delicious and they are award winning.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
And your husband did it. We are he did it.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
I give all the credit to him. We actually just
we won gold and reserve champion at Uncorked in the
Houston Livestock Show in Rodeo.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
It really, it's a kind of surreal. Just you know,
we were encouraged to enter all ten varietals. I thought
the ones that would you know, maybe make a statement,
just you know, I was looking just for some feedback
so what we could improve.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
On for next year.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Never, never did I think that we were gonna win
gold and certainly reserve champion, both on a state level
and an international level. So that I just think the
good Lord that was an eyewink. That was just an
eyewink for him to say, Okay, keep keep going, because
that's right, keep going, keep going.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Great Christmas gift, idea great anniversary, beautiful adding venue.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
And I just and I know that.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Let me tell you, if you call Angie or you
contact Angie, Angie's the type of woman who will bend
over backwards to make sure your dreams come true out there.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You really I've been. I just love watching you work.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I love the relationship with you and your husband and
your employees, and it's just a it's a beautiful place,
and people who come feel very loved.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Well that's you know what that is. That's what we're
called to do and and love on people and it
and it all works out. People, you know, they never
you know, they'll never forget the way they retreated. They
may forget what she said, but they'll never They'll just
never forget how they felt when they walked away. And
that is that that's my goal. I'm only gonna, you know,

(08:42):
live for so long. I've got so many numbers of
years left, and who knows what that is. But you know,
maybe fifty years from now, somebody will say, you know what,
I don't remember that about her, but I certainly remember
the way that she made me feel.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
That is awesome, Angie.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Thank you, and thank you to your husband and all
the way you're putting into your beautiful M three winery
and event center. And we wish you a very merry Christmas.
And let me be your ambassador. I will share your
story with everyone. And that's why I wanted to get
you on the podcast.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Well, pretty lady, I appreciate it. I'm very grateful just
to meet you and know you. I'm especially excited that
we're right there in kat Spring together, and we know
that Kat's Spring is a sweet little secret with so
many neat offerings, not only in three Ranch, but it
really is it's a quaint little place to be in,
a blessed place to live, that's for.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Sure, is it? Sure? Is well?

Speaker 1 (09:35):
We thank you glad that you're close by now. And
your wine is extraordinary. We love it so much. And
congratulations your work.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Hello. I cannot wait to have some more of her chocolate.
I'll take little pieces with my coffee this morning, another
little piece, and it's just yeah, I know.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
What to give, what Christmas presents, right, Yeah, a sweetheart, Angie.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Thank you. Give everyone there a hug, and we'll see
you soon. I will Danna, God bless God Bye,
