Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Uber in the den with Dangerous Day. Well,
they've been doing this for a couple of years now,
and a big thanks to Uber for posting a list
again this year. Never a dull time. Uber's annual Lost
and Found index looked at the stuff that we left
behind in ride shares last week. Of course, the most
common things are phones and wallets and keys and luggage

(00:20):
and headphones. But the most unique things is where the
real action is. They shared a list of the most
odd ball things left in Uber's last year. Some of
the highlights include a mannequin head with human hair, a
viking drinking horn, chainsaw turtle, a urinal shrek ears, a
witch's broom, and by the way, Uber said the Saturday

(00:41):
before Halloween was the most forgetful day of the year. Mattresses, hookahs, aquarium,
DNA testing kit, unicycle, a bouquet of one hundred roses,
traffic cone, plunger. Somebody got in touch looking for a photo.
They took a benny hanna, a cactus, hard boiled eggs,
a sewing machine, cornish hans, a place card that says

(01:01):
it's a filling thing. Ten live lobsters hand them on
Tana merch divorce papers, and ozempic. They also did a
separate list of twenty weird foods left behind a five
gallon bucket of beans, one hundred and seventy five sliders,
bucket of feta, a gallon of sunny d and somebody
left behind one hundred and eight eggs. And I'm assuming
that person is now bankrupt. In the well, have you

(01:25):
ever thrown away food from a party gathered that nobody
would eat just because it was the last piece and
everybody was too polite to eat it or split it. Well,
BuzzFeed came up with a list of made up societal
rules that they think people should stop following. We'll find
out which ones you agree with and which ones you don't.

(01:46):
The double texting rule, I think that's stupid. Some people
think it's too much to send multiple texts in a
row if you think that somebody will not answer right away.
I think it's okay to send a second text if
you have a second thought respecting your elders. One person said,
it's the nastiest people I've met have been over seventy

(02:06):
Good job you survive being a dinosaur, but respectors are
not given. Do you think maybe that they're nasty because
people don't respect them any longer you ever thought about that.
I think you should respect everybody because regardless of who
you meet, you don't know what they're going through. Expecting
people to work in food service to always be happy
it's exhausting, thankless, and a stressful job. It doesn't pay

(02:29):
enough well. You know what, if you're in the service industry,
whether you're happy or not, you should smile because that
brings more customers. Women should be polite and be considered ladylike.
Men are never held to these standards. Other made up
of societal rules people think we should quit, should be
acceptable to respectfully decline gifts. I agree with that one.

(02:50):
You can't eat in front of your friends unless they're
eating too well, what if I'm hungry? You know, if
you're at a group, large group at a restaurant, half
the people get food, I say go for it, go
ahead and eat everybody. Thinking it's rude to read a
book at a function or an event, I agree with that.
Unacceptable to date a friend's X just because they went

(03:11):
out with you doesn't mean they shouldn't work out for you.
Placing a napkin on your lap forget it lands on
the floor ninety nine out of one hundred times. No,
not all the time. I still put the napkin, whether
I don't didn't know what was a rule. It's just
something I was brought up to do. And blessing people
when they sneeze, stop calling attention to them, especially in
the middle of a meeting. You know, why don't we

(03:33):
bless farts too. I'm on board with that, because people
don't knowingly or at least try to fart in a meeting.
But maybe we should tune it again for another episode
of Deeper in the Den with Dangerous Dave right here.
