Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocates Law dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
James is on the phone today for a first date
follow up and he's being ghosted by Jessica. So we're
gonna see if we can help him out, figure out why,
and maybe get him another date in a second. But first, James,
before we get into your dat and stuff, how long
has it been since you heard from Jessica.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Man, let's see, it's been like, geez, it's been like
a week. It's maybe a week and a half, two weeks.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Two weeks, a week. There's a difference. Sure, I think
we're in ghosting territory. When was the last time you
guys talked? Was it on your last date?

Speaker 5 (00:36):
Yeah, last time.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
We talked was actually after that date, and she even
said she was like, oh you I might she was
gonna like reach out to me and maybe playing the
next day. But I'm not gonna lie you guys, Like,
I'm super disappointed because the date was awesome.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Well was so awesome about it.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
So we went out to dinner, and you know, I
wanted to impress her, so I took her to like
this flanky spot, you know, and I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
She was like just and I was pretty as her
pictures were.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
And I'm a classy fellow, so of course I didn't
like say nothing about that to her. But my I
think my favorite thing might be that she was like
really career.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Driven, and I love that.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
It durns me on when a woman into her work.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
I love that too. I love that because I do that. Okay, yeah,
I feel you on that. So she has his career driven.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
You thought she was beautiful and how was the interaction
between you guys?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Date was really good. You know, we had dinner, we
got to talk about our lives, and you know, I
let her know that I actually have three kids, which
she didn't seem like she was too put off by.
And that's like a huge surprise. Normally, like once I
bring kids up, people are like, oh, they're out, you know,
but she she actually did mention it. She'd actually like

(02:01):
wanted kids, but she's you know, because of her job
and being so focused on a career, she hasn't been able.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
To so kids weren't really an issue. Maybe she was
excited about the idea that you had on Yeah, that's nice.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, And she said that she wants to be able
if she wants to have kids. So, you know, we
both were like the good thing too. The more we talked,
I realized she and I both are looking for something serious.
I'm sick of fishing. There's so many fish in the sea.
I'm tired of it. I'll be honest, you know, I'm
looking for someone that my kids can eventually call mom.

(02:34):
Because it's like, as much as I want to find somebody, yeah,
as much as I want to find somebody, my kids
are the biggest factor when it comes to finding somebody,
find somebody good.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Did you express that that you're looking for somebody to
call mom? Because that's also quite intense for a first date,
even if you are open to the idea of having children.
And you know, the other question is, did you mention
if you were willing to have any more, if she
wanted to have any of her own?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Hmm, Okay, we didn't talk about having more, but I'll
be honest, but somebody this great. Hey, they're all the
way room, you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Okay, yeah, she said too.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
She said that really one thing she wants is a
sense of normalcy. She telling her jobs a lot of
fly by the seat of her pants. So she's really
looking for someone to come home too. And after that,
I was like, oh, I'm in, de sign me up,
I'm in.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
So she pretty much seemed to have everything you're looking for,
but now she's ghosting.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Yeah, and that's here's the thing that kills me. Like
we walked into a car end of the night and
she lightly kissed me on the cheek and that's why
she told me. She's like, oh, she texts me and
you know, maybe set up another date.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
And like I said, that.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Was like, yeah, that was It was a week and
a half ago and I only called once. I texted twice.
I try my best, did not do too much.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
But you know, my heart, my heart is breaking over here.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I'll be honest. I think it was the kids thing, really,
you know, because yeah, I've been on a lot of
dates and that's normally what shuts people off. I mean
because people, you know, they skip town when you say
you got one. But I mean I got three, and
I hope that's not it. I hate it. You know,
it sucks when you know, great people get spooped by

(04:21):
the fact that you got you know, kids. And we
were sharing my war stories of past relationships, but it
seems it seems like, gosh, she's right where I would
want her to be. She's like, she's amazing. So I
hope the kids thing didn't run off because I can't
do rupping about that.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Yeah, all right, well we'll see if we can figure
it out.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
What plays, So come back and then call her and
see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you right
after this.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Okay, okay, thanks so much. All right, place, don't come back.
Get your first day follow up, next.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
First date follow up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at advocateslud dot com.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Right in the middle of your first date follow up
if you're just joining us. James is on the phone
and he's getting ghosted by the woman of his dreams.
That sounded really insensitive.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Way.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
I didn't mean it like that, James. Yeah, Wow, you
know I'm not gonna lie. I'm tough enough. I'm tough enough.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
They didn't bother me. But I'm a hoop.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
I didn't mean it that way.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
After I said it, I was like, man, that sounds
really insensitive. But I hope that you know. We're about
to call her and ask her why she's ghosting you,
and I hope she'll tell us, and I hope you
still want another date after or can get.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Into the Kay. Yeah, I hope so too. Man. She
was incredible.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Yeah, all right, Well, why don't you recap the date
real quick before we give her a call, so catch
everybody up.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Yeah, So we went out to a real nice restaurant,
you know, told her that I got kids, and she
didn't seem too bothered by it. But dinner was great.
We talked about old relationships stuff, talk about what you
want from life. Seems like we kind of want the
same thing because she wants somebody to come home to
and I'm looking for a home. I'm looking for a house.

(05:55):
You know, I'm trying to make her family. So you
date went well, gave me a kiss on the cheek,
and she said she'd reached back out to play another date.
But that was like what feels like forever ago?

Speaker 2 (06:07):
All right, cool, Well, we're about to call her right now,
see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and
hopefully get you another date.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
You're ready, okay, thank you? All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Hello, I'm speak to Jessica. Please, Yes, it is she Hey, Jessica,
how are you? My name is Jewbel, host the radio show.
It's called The Jewel Show, Jess because the whole.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Show is here. Hi. Hi, I'm Victoria. Do you listen
to the show at all?

Speaker 6 (06:41):
I actually do.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
I really love you guys. Agains are great, sweet well
and we really love you you. So if you listen
to the show, if you heard a first day follow
up before? Oh yes, I have all right, how would
it feel to star in one? I mean I have.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
A feeling that I'm looking like the bad guy right now.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
But sure, let's do it.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Well, he said, star in one, So that's actually a
positive span.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, you sound really awesome from the description we got
of you.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
That's great, that's wonderful. That's accurate.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
His name is James. Oh oh, all right.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
You went out on a date with James and you've
been ghosting him and he wants to know why. So
could you tell us?

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Yes, I'm just trying to think of how I can
praise this for the radio, because I know you guys
have rules. I just I honestly didn't think that caveman
like that existed.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Anymore like caveman damn yes, he.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
Was every sort of cliche of like a dude that
you could think of, you know what I mean, like
every cliche whatever you're thinking of right.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Now is correct. Oh okay, hey, what does that mean
exactly for you? All right?

Speaker 6 (07:47):
I mean, like, first off, he didn't put on his
profile that he had kids, and like, you know, that
wasn't a big deal. It's just a little red flaggy
you know, really again, not a big deal. And then
he started talking about how they were from three different women,
all of whom he had cheated on. Yeah, he admitted it.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Uh huh Okay.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
He just like kept telling me that, like, you know,
even though he is the one who cheated all of
his baby mamas, his smoking hot baby mamas, that I
didn't seem like the kind of girl that he'd cheat on.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
What Oh It's also does he get kind of for
being so honest? Because wow, yeah, I mean he's honest
for sure.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
Yeah, And that honestly sold me right there. I was
in love. And you know, I know that James is
on the phone right now, and like, Hi, James, I'm
going to keep going on all of these caveman things.
You know. He started talking about how he loved that
I was a career girl, not even a career woman,
but a career girl. And he wants to know, you know,

(08:54):
as a career girl, would I ever consider being a
stay at home mom to take care of his three
kids from his three smoking.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Hot baby mamas.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Wait, okay, wow, okay.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
First off, I can't believe you I'd done like this, like.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Like, yo, you gave me all the signals to try
and kiss you. I mean, and of course you look great.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
You dressed great, and no, I.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Did not look at your boobs the entire time.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
He absolutely did.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
I dressed to impress.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
I made sure you know that I was going on
a first date, and like, yes, he was looking at
my am I allowed to say my bazoons or whatever
on the radio.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
He looked at him the entire time.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
The entire time, and he just kind of dressed like
a shrub, like I'm glad. I think his shirt, you know,
was washed and it looked like he pulled out his
nicer zip up hoodie like there wasn't any like you know,
designs on it or whatever, very solid colors.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
But still, bro, oh my god, I can't believe you
know what I'd see. You know, no, I see what
it is you know what. It was the kid saying,
and she just come up with excuses.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
She ready to no, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Adult relationship, That's that's what it is. I'm not so
freaking goofy.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
If you just pause for a second, this real adult
over here who's throwing words. He asked if we could
go have fun in the restroom on our first date.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
Yeah, there had got.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Nothing to do with any of this. Yeah, if I'm
out of.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Here, I mean, but it did though, Gone, I'm not surprised,
and like.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
The crazy thing is, there's still so much more to
this horrible date.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
C Yeah, he.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Actually suggested that you guys go to the bathroom and
mess her. He did. Three people did, at least.
