The issue of Mental Health and our kids. - I Matter is a program funded by the state of Colorado that provides up to six free therapy sessions to all youth in the state 18 or younger, as well as those 21 and younger if receiving special education services. The program can be accessed at IMatterColorado.org.

I interviewed Liz Owens, the Interim Co-Deputy Director of Programs for the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health.

And a young man who survived a suicide attempt talks about getting well and teaching others.

Immanuel Jones works at Sandstone Care. As a Mental Health Motivational Speaker and Advocate living with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, he works to increase suicide prevention awareness, reduce the rate of suicide, and teach solutions on how depression does not have to hold you back from living your best life.
