Evan and Charlotte first matched on Bumble two months ago and while it took a while, they went on their first date two weeks ago. Evan made reservations at a nice restaurant and even picked Charlotte up for their date. Evan thought things went really well because he even kissed Charlotte on the cheek to be respectful. Evan also tells us he sent flowers to Charlotte to thank her for the date, but ever since then he hasn’t heard from her. Evan has still seen Charlotte on the app and has even updated her photos so he’s worried something went wrong that he didn’t notice.

We call Charlotte trying to figure out if there is anything else between her and Evan that happened that may have caused things to go wrong and she tells us that she wasn’t a fan of what Evan brought to the restaurant with them. Find out what’s really going on in this Second Date Update!

(00:00):
It turns you on and then turnsyou on your morning show. A second
to date update. Oh and Shelbysauce your first one on the show.
Very exciting. Here's how it works. So you match with somebody, or
you see somebody in person, youhave a connection, you go on a
date, you think there's a vibe. Then they stopped talking to you.
We try to figure out exactly whatwent wrong. Let's bring him back on

(00:22):
Evan. Good morning, sir,Good morning guys. Let's get into this.
So you and Charlotte met where wemet online? Okay, on an
app? We met on Bumble Actuallyokay, madam Bumble. How long ago
is that? Well, we matchedlike about two months ago. Um,
but we didn't have our first date. It took a while. Um probably

(00:46):
about like it's been two weeks agonow since we've had our first date.
Okay, So but we matched twomonths ago. Yeah, Yeah, it
sort of took a little bit tolike, you know, get on each
other's schedules and like sort of convincedher to But yeah, hey, we
I talked from the phone or anythinglike that before the day, because I
feel like, I mean, basicallysix weeks of app talking can get you

(01:10):
know, boring, I guess, yeah. Yeah. We eventually exchanged numbers
and we were texting and we didhave a cuff a couple of phone calls.
Okay, and so we go atdinner two weeks ago, Kyle walk
us through that. What happens?Okay, So, Um, I made
reservations at a nice restaurant. Ipicked her up for dinner. Um,
you know, I did everything right. I opened her door. Oh m.

(01:33):
You know, we went to dinner, had a great dinner, great
conversation, and then you know,I dropped her off at home after that.
It was real respectful. Um,you know I think that what like
I kissed her on the cheek, you know, when we were done.
Um, and then the following dayI sent her flowers and you know,
trying to do the whole thing, trying to do it right and be real
respectful. And um, I haven'theard from her since. Okay. The

(01:59):
fact they opened the door to me, I think that's a huge thing.
That's a huge, huge thing.Okay. And so the one thing I
wanted to bring up because well, obviously call her for you, but you
said she's still on the app andits update her photos since your date correct.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. SoI'm not sure. I'm not sure
what's up. That's tough. Yeah, I mean that that means, for
one, she still has the appand then to go through and do the

(02:20):
photos, okay, and there's nothingyou can think of that be like,
uh, maybe something was said wrongor anything like that. No, and
that's the thing I don't know becauseshe won't talk to me. And he
says, here, you also sendflowers to her work? Yeah, like
roses or what we send. Um, it was sort of like a like
a mixed bouquet. Okay, youknow, Okay, I think that's that's

(02:45):
very nice. Okay, so letme do this. We'll call her,
I'll try to get going on that'sand we'll try to figure out what's going
on. Okay, okay, wellone, sorry, I think the flowers
could be a yeah, nice thing. Nobody sent me flowers at work?
Oh actually, why not? Pleasedon't because Eric wouldn't get them for like
five months from now and we're stillhere. Hello, I calling for Charlotte

(03:12):
please. Yeah, this is Charlotte. Hey, it's in Turns John.
I got Sauce and Rose here aswell from the show. Can we talked
to you in the radio real quickabout something nothing bad. There's a couple
of quick questions. Okay, okay, perfect. So we're doing second date
update, and I have somebody anotherline who says they went on a date
with you. It looks like twoweeks ago. He thought the vibes were

(03:34):
well, but he hasn't heard fromme. A sence, Evan, if
you want to say, Hi,Hey, Charlotte's nailed, and so Charlotte,
we're here to figure out what wentwrong or why the apprehension on your
part. Oh I don't. Idon't know why Evan's asking why because he
already knows why. Okay, thislike like he should know why, or

(03:59):
like he actually knows black and white. The reason why he knows black and
white because I told him when wewere together. Okay, can you tell
us what it isn't care? Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you. I
don't know why he didn't tell you, but um, he brought his own
appetizers to the restaurant. Hold on, what do you what do you mean

(04:21):
by what do you mean his ownappetizers? Charlotte? He had like he
hadn't like a little bag and insidethe bag where carrots hummus and string cheese
and and he he wanted to eatthat before we ordered our food. Ready,
go um, even is that true? Oh my god, Yeah,
that's true. But like, likeI don't understand what the big deal is,

(04:46):
sir, what do you? Yeah? What do you What do you
mean? Evan? What do Imean? Like people do this kind of
stuff all the time. I mean, if you order carrots and hummaus at
a restaurant, they're gonna charge you, like, you know, a lot
seven bucks. Times are a littletough right now, right, but more
than Evan, what, I don'tknow anybody who brings in food to a
restaurant. No, no, youdon't. You don't know people who bring

(05:10):
in food to like concerts or movietheaters like that a little different. Don't
tell me. Women, don't tellme. Women don't do that all the
time with those big persones. Okay, I'm not gonna bring food to a
restaurant though, where they have food, I can just order. I think
that's the definition of bringing sand tothe beach. Let me, let me
do this. I'm gonna put youguys in hold um. Are you a

(05:30):
team, Evan? Are you ateam? H Charlotte I'm a little bit
taken back. And also do youis it normally sneaking food to a restaurant
nine nine three three eight attacks orcall me eight seven seven ninety nine five
or six eight one. Second dayupdate interns on your morning show. Second
day Update interns gian your morning show. We just talked to Evan in Charlotte.
They mash on bumble two months ago, had their first day about two

(05:54):
weeks ago. He was taken back, So why there is no second dage?
Point out that he brought his ownappetizers to the date? Hummus and
that type of thing? Is thata deal breaker? Eight seven, seven,
nine nine five four six eight oneto call tax or getting you on
hold sauce? Would that be foryou? Would that be breaking breaker?

(06:15):
Absolutely? You made reservations at anice restaurant for a first date. That's
great, and then you brought yourown appetizers. That's very tacky. Right,
I'm surprised I didn't ask you leave. But then you like make up
for it, or not even makeup for it. You send her flowers
after the date. I think aboutbag. Yeah, that flowers is not
cheat exactly, that that can beexpensive, So why did you do that.

(06:41):
That's okay. I hadn't thought,but I okay, rose your thoughts.
He is sending major mixed signals here, so it would probably be a
red flog for me too. It'slike, make up your mind, bro,
Like, we don't have to goto an expensive restaurant on a first
date. You don't have to sendme flowers. But like, if we're
doing those things, don't bring yourown hummas and carrots. It just does

(07:02):
a matchup. Now. Yeah,I tried to fend the fell as much
as possible on this show. However, in regards to a date, my
man, if you ask a girlout on a date to a restaurant,
make sure you she is gonna think, if you're a gentleman, that he
has enough money to pay for themeal. Like, yeah, I make
sure I stand carot. That's notthe impression. It's not a movie theater,

(07:25):
movie theater, bring out some hummas. I'm having fun. I'm fine
if we're going to a movie.First of all, movie should never be
a first date. But if we'regoing to a movie and you're bringing snacks,
I am down for that. Notto a restaurant. That's some hummas
in your pocket. He is happyto see me. Well, actually it's
huns of this. Yeah, letme go to a Fairfax Kay, good
morning. Yeah, um, sorryshe dobbs one. He's a child,

(07:48):
but yeah, that's what I waslike when my daughter was two and we
were going out to eat. Iknew, Shoot, you know it's a
little picky and crackers. You know, he's great, but children, Yeah,
you're growing out the doll like you'regoing out. There's food there,
you don't got money, then maybeyou gotta stack up. I don't know

(08:13):
a little bit later. Yeah,I don't know. All right, Kate,
thank you so much for going agreat day. All right, yea
right, let me going up bellAir, Kristin good Marning. What do
you want to say with second dateupdate? Okay, first of all,
usually these make me laugh so hard. Guy, I'm like, I'm pissed

(08:35):
off, Like what kind of idiotdoes this? And then tries to justify
it and say everybody does this andwomen fill their purses. Shut up that
poor Charlotte. Like and then Ilove Rose more than anyone, And for
her to say that there is mixedsignals. No, Rose, I'm sorry,
I love you. No, there'sno mix signals. He was a
d bag. Okay, yeah,I'm with you doing so much and then

(09:01):
doing nothing like those are mixed.Yeah, we had like a coupon on
the one eight hundred flowers from hismom. Okay, or he grew myself.
Yeah, it's a fair point.Yeah, Christen, how do you
really feel though? String cheese likeno reason? String cheese? Okay yeah
