Matt and Jamie first met on Hinge a few weeks ago and after two weeks of getting to know each other they went out for dinner. They both drove separately and Matt tells us he didn’t want to force things so they settled for a hug at the end of their date. However, Jamie did invite Matt last week to a happy hour with her friends, which he thought was a good sign, but at the end of the happy hour he says things did get a little awkward and ever since he hasn’t heard back from Jamie.

We call Jamie trying to figure out if there is anything else between her and Matt that happened that may have caused things to go wrong and she tells us that she wasn’t a fan of Matt not paying for her friends’ drinks at happy hour. Find out what’s really going on in this Second Date Update!

It in Turns and Morning Show,in turns you on your morning show.
Second date out date, you goout with somebody, you think there's a
vibe. Then they stopped talking toyou. We try to figure out what
went wrong, I mean, bringhim back on Matt Good morning, sir,
good morning, hey man. Sowalk us through this. You and
Jamie met where? Okay? Sowe met on Hinge Nice? How long

(00:23):
ago is that? So? Aftertaking things so about two weeks ago,
we went out to dinner nice, which is great, have a few drinks.
Did you did you pick her upfor dinner? Not to cut you
out, but let's we paint apicture of dinner? Did you pick her
up? How did that work? No? We met there? We met
there, okay in the day andage. You just you know, people
aren't super sure of everything. Okay, and you paid for dinner. I

(00:48):
paid for dinner, gotcha? Okay? Y? Yeah, that's how I
roll. Was there a kiss atthe end of night or no? No,
there was no kiss. There wasa hug and an expectation that we
would be seeing each other again, which did happen? Right? And that's
the happy hour? Right? Yeah? Yeah? So I went to happy
hour with her? A few ofher friends last week kind of say,

(01:12):
Matt tim, I think that's ahuge green flag if the case didn't happen
whatever, But the fact that withinlike a week she was going out with
her girlfriends and goes, I wantto bring you around my friends, that
to me is a huge sign. That's a good Yeah. Did she sat
up like, hey, my friendsare going out, you should come,
or did you ask, hey, what are you doing? Then she told

(01:32):
you, like, did she makethe first kind of move? It was?
It was her. It was hermove. I you know I did.
That's what she was doing. Butshe's like, I'm going to happy
hour. If you guys, ifyou want to come, you know,
one of them from to join us. I'd love for you to meet some
of my friends. Sure, that'swhat we did. Okay, and so
we meet friends. How was thehappy hour? It was? It was
good. We had a we hada lot of fun. You know,
didn't go too late into the Wednesdayand people at work, but we had

(01:56):
fun. We were there for afew hours, had a few drinks.
Uh. I did get a littlebit of a vibe that that you know,
things are going really really well. And then at the end it kind
of felt a little bit more awkwardas we were saying goodbye, So I
wasn't sure about that, okay,But ever since then, um, I've
gotten nothing from her. Nope,no calls, hasn't respond as my text.

(02:19):
Can. You used to post stufflike stories out on Instagram, yeah,
and Facebook, and they're not thereanymore. So I don't know exactly
what's going on. So we canwe circle back for a second. I
hate the fact somebody punched me,I said, circle back. But you
said things were awkward at the endof happy hour. Just what do you
mean it didn't as much fun aswe were having at the end of the
night. It just seemed like thingskind of just slowed down, okay,

(02:43):
like sometimes off Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean it's weird to say
goodbye somebody in front of her friends, and you know, I thought maybe
that was okay, some of theawkwardness, but I'm just not sure fair
Okay, So let me guess I'llcall her, should I get around with
us and we'll see what happened?Okay? Sure? On second, Yeah,
I think that the friend thing tome is always a really good son.

(03:05):
Yeah, that's really nice. Asyou invited in, like one to
introduce him. Absolutely, Sauce,I agree, that's a huge thing.
Hell, hi Jamie. Yeah,Hey, it's in turn John. I
got Sauce and Rose here as wellfrom the show. Can we talk in
the air real quick about something nothingbad, just needs you for two seconds?

(03:29):
Yeah, of course you can.Okay, all right, thank you,
So we're I'll get right into thisshame you're doing. Second date update.
We got somebody the other line whowhen I date with you a couple
of weeks ago and had a happyhour last week, Matt, if you
want to say, hi, Hi, perfect and so um Jamie, we're
here. Matt kind of filled usin. You know, dinner went well,
drinks went well, but he hasheard for you in about a week.

(03:52):
I guess from today. We're tryingto figure out where your minds that.
What are you think of? Um? I'm not really thinking too much
about him at all. Um,I mean, yeah, I just I
don't know. We had a gooddinner and everything, but like after that,
I invited him to happy hour withmy friends and it was just it

(04:15):
didn't really go the way I expectedit to go. So I mean,
in what way you know? Yeah, what happened? I mean, he's
out with my friends, like,he's definitely like cool, and I'm inviting
him out and he didn't even payfor my girlfriend's drings and that was just

(04:36):
kind of that. Wait wait,Jamie, Okay, that's the way Jamie.
So you you are saying, andthis is what I gets. This
is right that Matt should have pickedup the tab for all your friends.
Yeah, how many friends were talking? Were there? I had three of
my girlfriends, so four people toldit all plus him as five? Yeah,

(04:59):
or at least around I mean, you know what I'm saying. Okay,
Matt, your thoughts, Uh,that's absurd. I mean, why
would have you think for everybody's drinks? You guys all work, you're all
grown women. You wouldn't be buyingeverybody's drinks somewhere old. I did offer
to buy a shot though, Imean, you guys didn't take it,
but I offered to buy a shotcut Like, what are we twelve years
old? Like, Jamie, Iwould help, not shot twelve. I

(05:23):
don't think that's okay. So Jamie, you invited him out. Yeah,
that's a good point, right,But Jamie said, let me ask before
we even go any further, wasyour idea when you invite him out in
your mind, was that a testof like if he pays for the round
or he pays for the bill, then we're good to go. I mean
it's just sort of like a showof a man, you know, like

(05:43):
taking here of Okay, now sure, okay, I'm gonna put you guys
in hold Shelby sauce your thoughts aswe get people on hold team Matt all
the way. Yeah, Uh,Jamie invited him to the happy hour.
I think it's nice. He offeredthe round of shots. Yeah, but
there's no expectation that he should bepaying. It sounds like he she only
invited him just to have someone pay. She's probably like to her friends,

(06:05):
Hey, like I'm inviting this guy. He's gonna pick up our tab.
Yeah, that's a good point,because I was just gonna ask I saw
us. Do we think that shetold the friends like, don't worry,
this guy'sn't come out and he's forsugar past or whatever. Probably if they
had the first date and like inthe dating phase, Yeah, I just
maybe she assumed that. And Ijust think that's so tacky. I don't
like it. Yeah, and withnot being a special day either, not

(06:28):
that make a difference, but likewhen she was like, what are we
twelve? When it comes to shots, I'm like, well, first of
all, it's not like an uncommonthing to offer to buy him. Yeah,
Rose your thoughts with second Day.I'm also team Matt. I think
that this was like a weird testthat she was putting him through, Like
if he bought her drinks, Ithink that's nice, But I don't think

(06:51):
he's required to buy all of herfriend's drinks as well. Yeah, that
that's also like that if you makeit seem a requirement, doesn't kind I
take away from the value somebody offeringto buy you drinks too, Yeah,
because they wanted to, because theyfeel like it's the chore to do.
I mean, this is the precedentthat she's like expecting, Like you can
expect that for like any time thatyou were at dinner with her and her

(07:15):
friend, she's going to expect youto pick up the tab always. She
just seems immature, Like that's justthe way that she set it up,
Like it sounded very last minute howshe invited him yes, and then all
of a sudden she's like, whatare we twelve? You offered to buy
us shots. Like at least heoffered, yeah, yeah, that's the
anyway, let me go in AlexandriaKimberly, good morning, Good morning.
You heard second day out day. What do you want to say with this?

(07:39):
Um? I just wanted to say, I'm definitely team that. Um,
I'm actually married and I met myhusband out a bar. And the
way that he introduced himself was that, you know, he was like,
hey, do you remember me fromthe night before? But I'm like,
hey, I'm out drinking with mygirlfriends and he was like, well,
can I buy you and your girlfriendsa drink? That was like, never
an expectation, but definitely was awonderful gesture and it made me take a

(08:01):
definite like look at him, likehe's different from other men. But expectations
lead to disappointments. And honestly,as a day, I really think that
if she was the one that offeredfor him to come out with her friends,
then maybe she should have been theone to buy a drink. Yeah
he has a job, um,and like, I just think that for

(08:24):
to have an expectation from quote unquotea man like that has says that is
too much like honey, you needto go buy your drinks. Yes,
I agree, Kimberly, thank youso much for listening to a fantastic day
you two. Thank you so much. I'll say that I've like ordered Drakes
for like Molly's friends after we starteddating, to get on the good terms
every now and then. Yeah,it's different. Yeah, to take to

(08:46):
the fellas you got you gotta fillup the friend's cup two a little bit,
you say, put the good carmentthat way. Because when you make
a mistake and you're going to dude, I get it. Listen, we're
dudes. It's just dude soccer. Now, we're radiots. We're gonna make
mistakes. You need to have herfriends on your side because they'll cover for
you. Not in a bad way, but they'll be like, hey,
but at least he doesn't mean tobe an idiot. It's just natural,
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he makes you

(09:09):
agree he's a good guy at theend of the day. Yes, yes,
let me go into Millersville. Maddie, good Martine, good morning.
You're on Matt's side with this. What do you want to say? Um,
I mean, I think it's prettyclear. I don't know who.
It's kind of a disagreement here.I mean, I understand um wanting to

(09:31):
be treated really well by a manand being you know, wanting to like
show off for your friends. Um, but I think having that expectation right
out the date, on the secondtime that you're going out is really kind
of loaded expectations to have. Yeah, yeah, it's yes into your kind
of point, Maddie. I don'tknow what the next outcome is like if
that becomes every time we're out withyour friends, out to pay, because

(09:54):
I'm gonna have to start selling myfeet only fans. Yeah, I mean
a lot of the gallag I expectto bring somebody, invite somebody out,
and then have them pay. Ifanything, I would have paid for his
drinks or yeah, I mean givenhim offering a shot. I guess it's
fine, but yeah, there's Iwould never have expected him to do that.
I agree, Maddie. Thank youfor listening. I have a great

(10:15):
day. Thank you too. Bye, let's do it one more. In
Eldersburg, Tia. Good morning,Good morning. You have a fantastic question
for Jamie. What's that? Iam not sure if she's looking for a
date or a sugar Daddy. That'sa valid points. A good question,
Mike, it's a valid point. And to be honest, like Tia,
like I know, it's like it'skind of opposite ends the spectrum, but

(10:37):
like it's kind of hard to argueagainst that, right, Like, why
else would you be inviting just tobuy drinks? Yeah, that's the expectations
are way too high. I thinkeven offering a shot was a nice gesture
of him. Oh yeah, absolutelyfor sure, Tia, thank you so
much for listening. I have agreat day. Thank you too, my
man, My man. You cancontinue your thoughts over text three eight in
