I don't even know. Listen, you guys are right in
position to win the game. I did not. We don't

We just got into the locker room. Yep, all right, Well,
let's talk about the game. You guys, certainly you know
move the ball on this Chiefs defense and several times
put yourself in positions to find ways to win. I
thought it may have been your most complete game of
the season, given the circumstances and where you played.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Look, I thought the tempo helped us defensively. We did
a good job getting off the field. You know, we
felt like we were controlling the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Late in the game.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
And look, we put ourselves you said it, we put
ourselves in a position to win. But nonetheless, you got
to you gotta be able to finish.

I'm gonna get you out of here on this. As
a head coach, you've been in this league a long time.

What what's the message from you to your team?

Well, look, when you do this long enough, you're gonna
win some and when they're over, maybe maybe you didn't
deserve to win, and then you're gonna lose some and
maybe you didn't just like we've had, all of these
guys are going to experience some adversity and we're going
to experience some success and so it's gonna be difficult.

But I was listening. I was proud of how we played.
Now all right, I was proud of how our guys played.
And uh, you know, it's disappointing not to get to
win when when you have it right in your hands.
So that's where we're at.

Yeah, we were close, We just weren't close enough. And
in a game like that, you just got to make
sure that you make the certain plays to win the game,
or you know, they're they're too good of a team,
you know, to just slip past you.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I thought you guys were aggressive in that first half.
A couple of third down touchdown throws, the first for
Devon Bailey his first of his career, and then the
third down I think it was third and two on
the on the go route to Sutton.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yeah, we found some good plays there early and then
we were able to hit him and you know, thought
they were great calls. And then you know, their pressure
picked up in the second half, and what until that
last drive where we were able to move it again.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Last thought, I'll get you out of here. You're a
rookie in this league, but you're the quarterback of this team.
How do you go about at least doing your part
to acknowledge that this is gut wrenching and yet you've
got another game to get ready for on Sunday and
still plenty of season left.

Yeah, there's a lot of season left and they just
you know, the team just you know has to see
a response, and you know everybody's going to respond well,
and you know it hurts us all, and so we're
not gonna let it linger. We got to move on
to the next one and just ensure that doesn't happen again.
