Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey
time once again for second date Update. You all ready
here we go.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Second date Update. You went on a first date. You
really enjoyed yourself and you thought, hey, man, second dates
in the bag, right, and now you're getting ghosted and
we try to figure out why.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Get John on the phone. John, were you like second
dates in the bag just like that?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I mean, that's not how I would say it, but
it was totally in the bag. At least I thought
it was.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Poor guy. Let's talk about your date with Stephanie. How
did you guys meet? And then let's talk about what
you did on your first date?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
So we met on Hinge. I mean, she's pretty pretty,
smoking hot. She had a great sense of humor. You know,
we talked a little bit conversation wise on the app itself. So,
I mean, she's a stopware engineer. She's always smart. It's funny.
I felt like you were really quick. So after out
for a casual dinner, huh, went to a sushi spot

(00:59):
and Sammonteo know thought, but they went really smoothly. Been
a lot of things in common. We talked a lot
about sci fi movies. We both love them a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I'm sorry, she's a software engineer and she likes sci
fi movies. No, there are a lot of guys out
there listening, going wait, where do we find this lady again?
If it doesn't work out with John.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Anyway?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Sorry, no, I'm rooting for you.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Go ahead, yeah, no worry. So, I mean, at one
point I dropped a piece of sushi. She kind of
made a joke like my newest p was Chapsticks and
she had goodbye. I mentioned that I'd love to see
her again, you know. She kind of gave me the
smile and said maybe. But and then nothing, nothing responsors

(01:45):
from me.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
We have not had that happen.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Maybe maybe now that could be a playful maybe, or
that could be I'm not too sure. Maybe that would
send me into a tail spit.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, I mean I took it as playful, okay, But
all right, obviously I don't know if it was because
I was comsy with Chopsticks or.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Cory. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Well, maybe Stephanie wasn't ready to go home yet, you know,
and so she's like, hey, there's that Hillsdale shopping center
right there there is. Why don't I check out a
flake at Synopolis?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
She went to the movies movies.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
After her date. Okay, had a little popcorn, choked on
a popcorn, Colonel. Sure, you don't know, poor John.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
John, back to you.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Let's call her.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
She's okay, yeah, same, you know, but.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Then you'd feel better, right though, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
We're not like you. Sorry, sorry, tell you what. Let's
call her and try to figure some things out. John,
if you have a minute, we'll play a song and
then we will call Stephanie and see what she thought
of the date.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Okay, okay, all right, I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
After this, let's regroup. It's Second Date updates, Star one
on one three more variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus
Corey doing Second Date Update. We're talking with John. I
think for some guys, he might have found the Holy Grail,
if you will, the golden cow unicorn unicorn. Golden cow
is probably a bad that's probably a bad analogy. But
Stephanie is a software engineer and loves sci fi movies.

(03:23):
Did I get that right?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
John, Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Unfortunately after the date, she's ghosted Little Sushi. Nothing crazy happened.
The only clue that we have is at the end
of the date, you asked her maybe a second date,
and she said maybe, But we think maybe she was kidding.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Tell you what John, find out. Let's call her.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Go ahead and mut your phone and here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Hi Stephanie, Hi, Stephanie, how are you today? It's Marcus
and Corey from Star one on three.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Hi, Hi?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Do you do you listen to our show?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I do?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
And yeah, tell your friends. Are you familiar with Second
Date Update?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I am very familiar with Second Date Update.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
You're cordially invited to be on it with us if
you don't mind right now?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Are you busy?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
No?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I can definitely talk. I is this about John? It is?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Should we just bring him on?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Bring him on?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
John?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Say? Hi? Unmute? Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Hell awesome? Okay, Well this is easy because everybody knows
why we're here, Stephanie. John would love a second date.
He thought you were fantastic, but you said maybe. We
did hear that? You said maybe at the end of
the date. So was that when jest or what's the story?
How was it for you.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
I mean, I'm honestly surprised that John would think that
I would want to go on a.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Second date with him.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Really Okay, the fact that he doesn't know the reason why,
I'm just kind of surprised.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
What's the reason?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Uh Well, So, like I said, the date was going fine,
and uh, you know, John had mentioned that he could
improve my wardrobe by giving me fashion tips, and I
just felt like that was so presumptuous and rude, and

(05:32):
it was so unsolicited. I did not ask him for his advice,
and the fact that he said this to a woman
on a date, I'm just I was unbelievably turned off.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
And yeah, no, thank you.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Do you think he was insinuating that you need to
dress better?

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Well, yeah, I mean I felt really good going on
the date. I felt like I looked great. And the
fact that he even called that out, I just felt
like was so rude.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Yeah, I have a fashion consulted actually just operating to help.
I was just making conversation.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
I mean, like that implies that I don't know how
to dress myself. I feel like it's uncalled for. I
didn't ask It'd be one thing if I asked you
for some advice. But the fact that you just said that,
I don't know, I just felt like it was such
a big turn off.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Sure, well, sorry about that. I mean, you honestly could
really address better for your body type. It me just
be a matter of like a couple of tweaks and you,
I don't know, you looking a little bigger maybe than
you than you actually are. Wow, certainly don't textbook stuff.
I mean, I I wasn't trying to.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Be rude, but you just don't comment on the woman's body.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, you could have worded it better.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Maybe then, well, I just offered to make it give
her some chips. I didn't say anything about like that.
I'm answering questions now.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
I mean the fact that you're even saying like it
made me look bigger, like that's just unbelievably uncalled for.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Like, I know, I look great.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
You don't need to comment like on a woman ever, right,
And it was.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Just I don't know, my job I think maybe turned
into a no, every.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Everybody, hang on a second, hang on, Holy moly, Stephanie,
are you there.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Yeah, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Wow, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
No, we'll all we'll we'll let him down. You don't
need that energy in your life.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, I wouldn't want to continue to date somebody that
is analyzing my body and my address, like it's just
not it's not.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
It so
