So obviously, the earlier you getthere, the more you can enjoy and
have so much fun with two daysof live music, local craft, brews,
food, arts, camping, alot of things going on. And
Brian, the big thing is thisis wyan Stock X. This is number
ten. You guys have really madethis thing something awesome. It is.
(00:46):
You know, we missed a yearthere back in twenty twenty for COVID,
but we decided this year, justsince it is our tenth Winstock, we're
gonna we're just gonna bloat out. We're gonna have Winstock Acts. Yeah,
so here we are with Winstock ten. And here's the thing. Here's the
thing. You've got a lot ofbands that you've had before that folks are
used to hearing on that stage becauseit makes it a lot of fun.
(01:07):
You brought back the Eric Sowers Bandon Friday Night this year. They're going
to be playing before the fireworks. They're going to be fantastic, looking forward
to the show. Oh yeah,Eric Eric Sowers Band always has a good
draw. They're a great band. They've they've had national exposure at some points,
you know, in their careers thereand they're from right here in you
(01:29):
know, wine Dot County. Soit was it was a good fit for
us to bring them back. Andplus it's they're going to be playing during
the fireworks this year. The cityalways coordinates the fireworks around us. So
what better band than a local countryact to play during fireworks? Oh,
no question, great jam, obviouslylocal. They're going to be one of
the headliners on Saturday, July thesixth. You get started at noon.
(01:49):
There, my cousin Eddie, lastminute Bootleg City band, fantastic, a
lot of great bands all weekend. You can just come bring your chair,
and really have a good time. That's what's cool about Winstock. Talk about
the food, the bruis and thingslike that. Man. Yeah, so
we've got about seven or eight foodvendors at the moment. We still have
a room for one or two more. If anybody has a food truck and
(02:13):
is interested, reach out to ourwebsite and there's information and details on there
on how to do that. Butwe have several food trucks coming and it's
some new ones this year, sohopefully that you'll come out and try those
out. The craft beer scene isgoing to be fantastic. We've got our
local breweries, Carry Brewing Company, trom Brewing Company which is a new one
(02:35):
for Winde County this year, andthen Arrogant Goat out of Besyrus. We
stopped in there a few months backand we talked to them and we said,
yes, we'd love to have yourproducts. So we've got some good
local stuff. Of course, wehave Phoenix Brewing out of Mansfield and some
of the domestic national brands also,so we certainly have a wide variety for
everybody and anybody that's interested. It'sa lot of fun. Marrion Brewery Company
(02:58):
always comes up with something specific forWinanstock and this year it's a cherry Bomb
Seltzer with cherry cranberry raspberry lemon shandy. Every year they come up with something
different. Last year was the BombPop and it was a different color every
time you poured. That was socool, Paul. I don't know how
they do it, but their seltzsare fantastic. They really are. If
you're into something drinking something light ona nice hot summer day, the seltzer
(03:23):
is definitely the way to go ifyou ask me. It is gonna be
a lot of fun there. There'salso some kids' activities. There's a children's
art activity Saturday afternoon at two. They've got the Kasa Cow Bingo, the
cash Cow Bingo thing, which isgoing to be a lot of fun.
We'll see where the cows go,which will be fun. That's going on
there. Woven Yoga with some yogagoing on in the morning. Now,
(03:45):
if folks would like to camp, you still have camp sites available for Fourth
of July weekend, right, Imean talk about that? Yeah, I
know it's crazy. You know everyyear we get people say, you know,
I don't have anywhere to camp. Can I come out and camp?
At your place, of course wecan. We still have ten camp sites
available, and I think we stillhave some bookup sites available. So if
you have a camper or an RVand you need power or sewer, then
(04:11):
I think I'm pretty sure there's someleft, at least in the grove cool
which is out by the parking lot, and it's nice and shaded and quiet
at night, so there's certainly opportunitiesthere if you're looking for a great weekend.
Absolutely, and Winstock is so cool. It was started and it is
currently being run by the Wyandott CountyYoung Professionals. This is an all volunteer
organization. The money that they raiseon this and other activities go right back
(04:33):
into the community for so many differentthings, from scholarships to helping with the
theater to the splash pad work thatyou guys done. You've done a lot
of things now with that though, you couldn't do it without all of the
sponsors, And I knew you wantedto talk about a few of the sponsors.
It seems like everybody in town hopsin to help out, but you
have some key sponsors you wanted tomention. Brian, Yeah, we couldn't.
(04:57):
You're right, we couldn't do thisabout our sponsors with First Citizens,
National Bank, Diamond Door, Kumbuk, Feeds, Perspire, a Quest,
Federal Credit Union, United Insurance. The Ohio Arts Council actually is a big
backer of ours also and they kindof reached out to us, so that
was very very nice of them, the Wine, Dot Medspa, Walmart,
as Aboy. We've got lots ofgreat support in the community for this event,
(05:24):
and that's, in my opinion,a testament to how it's been run
over the last ten to twelve yearsand just how quality of a product you're
getting. Like nobody wants to puttheir name on something that's not good,
but I think what we have isa pretty good show. It really is.
