Speaker 1 (00:00):
The news conference at Reagan International Airport just wrapped up
a short while ago, and Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy
was there and made this announcement, we have early indicators
of what happened here, and I will tell you with
complete confidence, we have the safest airspace in the world. Yeah.
(00:22):
He also made the announcement that there were no survivors
and so. But he's been amazing. He was really good.
He was out at the scene last night. He notified
the president, he was in the situation room. He was
back at at the airport. Unlike the last guy, I mean, Buddhajeedge,
who was a no show for the trained derailment in Ohio.
(00:42):
He was a no show during the holidays when airports
were in chaos across the country. He always seemed to
be on vacation. Thank god that guy never became president.
By the way, he was such a horrible transportation secretary.
He is finished. And with that, of course, Duffy was
from Fox News. You've got Pete Hegseth from Fox News
(01:05):
who is the Secretary of Defense. So let's get to
Joe Kanca, maybe the only person from Fox News who
didn't become part of the Trump cabinet. He is the
Fox News contributor. He has a new book coming up
you can pre order now on Amazon, The Greatest Comeback Ever,
Inside Trump's Beautiful Campaign, Inside Trump's Big Beautiful Campaign. And
(01:30):
he wrote that before, long before Trump even won. So
this this guy's a genius, but not smart enough to
make it as part of Trump's cabinet. Now, why why
you passed over?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Oh that's an excellent question. My next book should call
Loan Survivor, Like I'm literally working for Donald Trump now.
I think. Look, I always heard you're gonna be the
next press secretary, like as a joke. And after what
we saw from Caroline Levitt this week at just the
young age of twenty seven, I think mister Trump made
the right choice as far as his decision for press secretary.
(02:06):
And as you mentioned Seawan Duffy. Look, Shawn, I know
Shawn and Rachel for years. I've been, you know, going
on to various shows with them, and half the time
their kids are in the green room, all nine of them.
They got nine kids. So when you got to get
up at one thirty in the morning and brief the
press on a plane crash, that's not New Territory for
Shawn Duffy. That's certainly for sure, given all those kids
(02:28):
and all those late nights.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I agree with you on Caroline Levin. I think she's
been amazing so far in the fact that she's only
twenty seven is mind blowing. But you would have been
a great at that job. You would have been a
wonderful press secretary. I would have loved to see that.
That would have been much must see television to see
you and the Washington Press.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Oh, I have Irish amnesia, you know. I forget everything
but the grudge, Larry, So I don't know if I
have the temperament. I like having conversations, and I'll debate
anybody on anything, you know, as long as it's dull conversation.
There are a lot of adults that aren't in that room,
you know. And I just love the fact that Caitlin
Collins CNN. The minute Biden comes in office, she no
(03:08):
longer wants to be a White House correspondent, all right,
And so then she runs back the minute Trump is
in power, and so she could you know, speak truth
to power and hold the powerful accountable. And then you see,
like Peter Alexander from NBC or Mary Bruce from ABC.
Oh boyd, they suddenly learned how to interrupt press secretaries
again and raise their voices with passion when they're defending something.
(03:30):
It's so obvious that during the Biden years those press
secretaries Sake and Korean Jean Pierre were treated like kittens.
And now Caroline Levi comes in and despite a hostile press, Yeah,
slam dunk all the way. A great choice. And by
the way, with Pete Putahjedgi, you're exactly right, he is finished.
Because let's we forget that he took two months off
and didn't tell anybody that he was on fraternity leave,
(03:52):
despite the fact that his partner, you know, didn't exactly
go through a tough pregnancy, because he's a guy, right,
So to take off two months at the high of
the supply chain crisis, I mean the adults are back
in the room, it would appear, that's certainly for sure.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, that's another one. I forgot that one. He also
missed that. It's amazing how many crises he missed and
sometimes they couldn't even find him. He's the Transportation secretary
who apparently doesn't even watch the news himself.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
There was a s secretary that went missing for a week.
Lloyd Austin's for a little procedure. Whoop's a week he's gone.
No one knows where he is, including the President, including
his backup who was on vacation in Puerto Rico. Still
tell me that Pete heexath Is is unfit. Pretty sure
he's fit, because you know he'll show up for work
and do the job onnlike Lloyd Austin who presided over
the Afghanistan withtraw and not one person was fired. That's
(04:43):
all you gotta know.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
I can't wait to see what Pete Hegxith does. It
is wonderful that someone, as he points out, kicked indoors
and was out in the field is now running the Pentagon.
That was a long time coming. And so I think
he's going to be a wonderful choice. And I think
he's going to supper a whole lot of people, especially
the Dowters. But I thought of you and I was
(05:05):
dying to talk to you. I thought of you last week,
and we tried to get you on. And I know
you're so busy, you're on Fox News all the time.
We tried to get you on because I'm just gonna
say two words to you and you can go ahead
and react. Jim Acosta.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Ah is that a noun, that's a name, right, Yeah, Look,
it's an adjective. Actually, he is every embodiment of everything
wrong with media today, condescending, pious, omnipotent, and always making
the story about himself instead of you know, the story.
So the fact that even CNN had enough of this
(05:44):
guy and said, all right, you can either take midnight
to him after working you know, the ten am shift.
He has another one, by the way, who after the
uh after Biden took office. Wow, he wasn't in the
press room anymore. Where are the obnoxious questions? Where were
the speeches about the Statue of liberty? Talking about immigration?
Just the biggest phony in the business. And now he'll
(06:06):
be I guarantee you he's just letting this CNN contract
run out. And when that happens, MSNBC will hire him
the next day and he'll be back in that press
room the next day to put on this for cheesy
Skidamax at three o'clock in the morning performance art. That's
Jim Acosta. And the fact that somebody journalists came to
his defense Oh, Jim, I can't believe this is happening here.
You're a great journalist, you speak truth to power. No,
(06:28):
he doesn't. It's a democratic activist, nothing more. And all
he cares about really is getting on Colbert and Kimmel.
Nothing to do with Pulitzers and Emmy's that I do know.
But besides that, he's great.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, beside that you invite him over for barbecues. Yeah,
we're running out of time here. But CNN obviously has
been told they have to tone things down. And I
love watching them because they look so sad. They look
as if they've been scolded by Mark Thompson and they've
been told you can't do what you came here to do,
(07:00):
and that's to always attack Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah, I mean, there's still it's in the DNA. So
they could only be so sad and resist for so
long in terms of not acting the way they want to.
So I even saw somebody yesterday talking about lamenting the
fact that we won't have anybody to pick her blueberries
anymore because we don't have illegals doing all that farm
work for cheap, which, you know, advocating cheap labor from
(07:25):
illegals is quite a way to you know, present yourself.
But I'll leave it here because I an't got to go.
One percent of farm work is done by illegal immigrants
one percent. So there goes that little talking point. But
you know, they continue to push it. But overall, yeah, CNN,
three hundred thousand people watching in primetime. The city of Toledo,
which I don't even know, I physic city is probably
a town, has more people in their total populations Toledo, Ohio,
(07:48):
than people watching CNN and primetime.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Jim Acosta has gone from CNN. That's what we were
just talking about. Joe Kanja, I almost called you, Jim Acosta.
Joe Kanja, Fox News contributor. His new book you can
pre order now on Amazon, The Greatest Comeback Ever Inside
Trump's Big, Beautiful Campaign. Thank you so much,
