Speaker 1 (00:01):
Even with what they do every day, which is so
transparent and predictable, it makes it lets me know that
I'm resonating, because if I wasn't, they wouldn't text in anything.
The worst reaction that anybody can elicit as a host
or a talent or a broadcaster and someone who gets
(00:22):
paid to do this for a living is nothing. If
it's good, if it's bad, that's all that matters, all right.
So Mike Dugar Christopher Kids partner in crime on the
Seahawks NFL Draft podcast Seahawkscuse Me Podcasts. It's called Seahawks
(00:44):
to a Man. Man Man a man, Man a man
all right, Man a man podcast? Where you find your podcast,
Mike Dugar, look at the first round targets for the
Seattle Seahawks, Chris, we can go through this. Jehad Campbell,
linebacker Alabama. Yes, I don't know if he'll be there.
Maybe he will, he probably, maybe he could be. We
(01:05):
don't know, but I'm all for that. I wouldn't have
an issue with Jehad Campbell his teammate guard Tyler Booker.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
We've talked enough about him.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Don't have an issue with dat Okay two for two
coming from a national championship caliber program, played for Nick Saban,
played for Kaitlin de Bore, Great Stock and Alabama players
for the most part, other than Eddie Lacy, sorry about that.
(01:34):
Other than you know, here's my thing. I still put
mark ingram as a bust. I know he was a
first rounder, and I know he had some years. He
wasn't like Eddie Lacy bust he you know that bad
or who is the guy? Oh oh, Trent Richardson. Yeah,
(01:56):
he wasn't that bust, but he was. He was a bust.
Will Johnson cornerback, Michigan. I have no issue with that.
If you want to make one of the top five
defenses better, I have no issue with that. Speaking of
corner Chris Juday Baron corner Texas. So far, Dugar, I'm
(02:16):
for all those are all very solid and logical picks
for the Seahawks at eighteen. I'm for all that. So
I'm good there. He puts this guy on the board,
and I don't think this guy will be there. Even
if he is, the Seahawks better not take him or
I will be killing them tomorrow. Jday Baron's teammate at
(02:40):
Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden very good might be the
second best. Do you know who?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Mel Kaiper Ranks is the number one receiver in the draft?
Who Travis Hunter can't blame him? No, mean neither. That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
That's awesome when that's your side hustle, your receivers, your
side hustle, and you are still Numero huno in the draft.
That and by the way, I agree, I co sign,
I concur with mister Kuiper on that one. All right,
so far any issues with your boy Mike Dugar what
(03:17):
he's naming here?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
No?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
All right, here's one position of need. This guy'd be great,
wouldn't have as much of an issue if the Seahawks
were drafting at twenty eight, But they didn't make the playoffs,
so they're not going to be drafting at twenty eight.
Gray Zabel, Interior O Lineman, North Dakota State. This guy
(03:40):
better be Logan Mankins. That's all I'm saying. The Patriots
took Logan Mankins one year and I'm like, who what?
And he ended up being an All pro in one
of Tom Brady's best friends. So if this guy has
Logan Mankin's type potential LFG, I'm okay. I think it's
a little bit of an overdraft at eighteen for me, see,
(04:04):
do you know? So here's my thing. Let me let
me give some odds on John Schneier. They're sitting here
with the eighteenth pick, right Chris, Yes, sir, if I'm
an odds guy, and based on talking to people and
studying John Schneider in Seahawks from Afar and Ian Ferness.
Who's gonna have Earl Thomas coming up later today? By
the way, Mayor, I promote him three times in this show,
(04:27):
so and I'll be promoting him even more. Do not
miss that interview with Ian Ferness Earl Thomas in a
very special guest coming up live from the Virginia Mason
Athletic Center in Renton. I for me, I I think
there's a chance the Seahawks will trade down.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I really do. From eighteen. By the time that pick
is coming around, I don't know. And I'm not gonna
say it's fifty, but I'll go about forty percent. I
think Schneider is gonna pick.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Do you think they'll get then twenty?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
What that now they're in lies? If I knew that,
then I tell I'd just.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
St a guess that doesn't not be who what team do
you think is one to get at eighteen that they
can say, oh, you want at eighteen, We'll give us
your picks and we'll take first round twenty six and
then maybe a second rounder, which will be crazy. Well
because now you have what four picks in the second round.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
You know what normally I would if you asked me
this two weeks ago, I would have said Pittsburgh at
twenty one because I feel that like they're going to
go quarterback, that they want to go quarterback, and maybe
they feel that someone could take Jackson dart over. Well,
the Bucks could like to me, yeah, I could see
(05:45):
Pittsburgh training up from twenty one to eighteen because Tampa's
at nineteen.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
How long how much longer does Baker Mayfield happen?
Speaker 3 (05:53):
He's thirty years old, so probably three four years maybe
if that.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Well he's if he stays healthy, could even be longer.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
But that's where I'm like on the low end, because
it's football, yeah, playing soccer.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
No, I know, Uh, I could see I could see
a team like Detroit.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
They've they've killed the draft, but I could see them
trading up because they value someone at eighteen that maybe
other teams don't. Now one guy I'm gonna mention and
we'll talk to Ryan Roberts coming up from ad Z
Sports next hour. Du Guard doesn't have on his on
this list, but he should. Mason Taylor, the son of
(06:40):
Jason Taylor, the nephew of Zach Thomas, and the nephew
of starts with Jay, ends with why Joy Taylor. Yep, Yep,
Mason Taylor tight end. Now here's the thing I'm gonna
say about Mason Taylor. He's six five, two fifty, he
(07:00):
can get down the field, He's underrated, and I think
he will produce on the next level. I just believe
that he's one of those second generation bloodline guys Roman
Reigns reference. He's a bloodline guy that I would love.
(07:22):
But here's what I'm.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Scared of the Rams taking him at twenty six.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
So if the Hawks can move back to twenty four
or twenty five, and there's no guarantee.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
The Rams would take him at twenty six.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Anyway, they got Tyler Higbee, they got a decent they
got a good time in anyway. But I think, to me,
there's a chance that either Pittsburgh or Detroit at twenty eight,
and if that happens, then I'm all for Greys Abel.
I think he's a little overdrafted at eighteen. At twenty eight,
(07:58):
I'm okay with Grays as for me, all right. He
also lists Donovan wow Is Zurraku e Zuraku. Might have
got that right, might have got that wrong. Edge Rusher,
Boston College. Okay, this guy is listed in the top twenty.
(08:19):
Kenneth Grant d tackle, Michigan. I feel that's a position of.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Strength right now. I don't feel that's a position of
need for the Seahawks. I don't.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
I feel that that would be a luxury pick which
they don't have the luxury of taking. That is not
a position of need at defensive tackle. And then of
course the guy that I want, he's got down here,
Colston Loveland, tight end, Michigan.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
That's to me.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
If he is on the board after the Cincinnati Bengals
pick at seventeen, then guess what you better just give
the card to the commission and said, don't go anywhere
here it is we are no longer on the clock.
It's Colston Loveland, Shamar Stewart edge Rusher, Texas. A and
M followed this kid since he came out of Dade County, Miami.
(09:07):
Uh stud but there's a little boomer bus factor on
him and Walter Nolan, one of the guys we spoke
to with either Ryan.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Roberts or.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Mom Gardner.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Bomb Gardner said there's a bus factor with both of
those guys.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
And I agree.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Seattle Zone a Mecca Abuka wide receiver Ohio State from Seattle.
Again still a combat. He still what further out? Let's
just right right? Thank you? Right after him? You know
how I feel. They're running promos on the station. How
(09:42):
I feel about this guy? Tedoroha McMillan, Hell, no, and
to quote though late great? Can we get better though?
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Mark?
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Wait great, late great? Whitney Houston, Hell to the f
and no where where would you like to see improvement
from who? From tech McMillan, Where would he?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
You can't get faster? Well that's the problem. And here's
the problem. He's had trouble getting separation.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Well that's something you can work on though.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Really okay, on the next level again, he getter.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
He can get better at it. I'm not saying he
will listen, but you're not wanting to take that risk.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
No, there's no receiver when the Seahawks are taking an
eighteen that I am willing to take their eighteen Golden.
I don't care, Abuca, McMillan, none of them, None of them,
Listen Christopher Unlike a lot of these mock draft analysts,
not Nick baumgard or not Ryan Roberts. I watch because
(10:34):
those guys do those guys do. I can tell, you
can tell real ones, can tell real ones. I watch
college football religiously. Okay, I watch you know the noon
to when it was after Pac twelve after dark and
now it's you know whatever, you know, Big twelve after dark.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
I watch all college wall to wall college football every Saturday.
There's no wide receiver to me other than Travis Hunter
where taking in the first twenty picks of the draft.
So that's not only saying Seahawks anyone. Now that I
think Golden's gonna go to the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
At twelve, and it might go with McMillan.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Okay, and I could understand. But because they that's a
dire position of need for them right now.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Will be fine. One of those I had the Seahawks
taking him?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Who take Golden?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Better better than McMillan, Okay, better if I don't think
he'll be there, I think he'll be there, And I
don't think love Whatt'll be there. I'm just I'm hoping.
I'm trying to manifest in the universe. Hey, I manifested
bor said, and look what happened. Right, So so there's
that Malachi Starks Safety Georgia.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
I like EM and Worry.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I'm surprised that Dugard didn't list Em and Worry from
South Carolina unless he thinks he won't be there, because
EM and Worry to me is better than Malachi Starks.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Malchi Starks is stud.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
He's stud anybody you come from that program, you were
part of, you were part of. Maybe he was part
of a national championship a couple of years ago, and
I don't think he was there for the first one,
but he was there for the second one.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
So and then he lists Shadur Sanders. That no, no.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
If the Seahawks takes Shaduur Sanders, as they used to say,
when Ish hits the fan, we got free radio. We
got free radio from now until August, that would make
my job absolutely easy. I just and at that point,
you know what we're gonna do. I would promise to you,
to all the listeners out there, I would promise you
(12:35):
we would go Northeast style sports talk radio for a week.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
All right, what's the number? I don't even know the
phone number to get in.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Two O six two eight six ninety ninety five?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
There, it is two eight six ninety five ninety five.
You know the eerie code.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
That's it. That's all I'd say.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
If the Seahawks takes Schadure Sanders, it's free radio. It's
a free paycheck for all of us, and it's gonna
be big time, big time ratings. From a sports radio standpoint,
I should be rooting for it. But here's the thing.
I am a fan first and foremost, and I look
at everything through the prism and point of view and
(13:13):
spectrum of a fan.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
So I'm a Seahawks fan. There's no f and way.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
I want you to do her Saintors here, And you
just paid Sam Darnold all that money. You're gonna really,
Michael Pennison and I got news for you should do
her Saintors. He ain't Michael Pennix, Okay, period, Jackson Dart.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
That would even be controversial to me? Seriously? Would I
hate it? I wouldn't hate it. I wouldn't love it,
so that would also be free radio.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Right, yeah, right, yeah, yeah, what's your cadence?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Like what Jackson, darl, what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Man? Like?
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Come on, Lank Kiffen's a QB whisperer.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
You had more like he just didn't want to obviously,
maybe he was shy or whatever.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
So all of those Dugar rights.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
The first round of the draft could put Seattle's best
player available strategy to the test. The Seahawks' most urgent
need is the interior O line. The team could legitimately
use three new stars up front. By the way only
editorialized there I co sawn and agree on that all right,
back to Dugar. But if a cornerback, line backer, or
edge rusher has a higher grade, will Seattle stay true
(14:23):
to its philosophy or chase the need? Of course, that
conundrum could be solved by the difference in the grades
between prospects. If the difference is marginal, then the team
probably wouldn't feel as if is a quotes chasing a
need necessarily. Izaraku and Grant are two prospects not often
(14:43):
tied to the Seahawks because of the talent Seattle has
it edge in interior D line, but they're intriguing first
round options outside of the trenches. A D back might
feel like a luxury selection because of the current five
lineup of Witherspoon, Joby Job, Ruland Love, and Kobe Bryant.
(15:06):
But by the way, I should I followed Josh Job
coming out of Louisiana.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Why don't I go on?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
I should know that I follow when this kid was
in high school. I remember this guy what in Miami
to get him? But beyond the fact that three of
the starters on expiring deals, the Witherspoon selection in twenty
twenty three exemplifies the value of taking a ceiling razor
at that spot. I consider the final five players listed
above only after a trade back in the first round.
He gives second round targets. Jayden Higgins wide receiver Iowa State,
(15:35):
Carson Schwsinger, linebacker UCLA, Darius Alexander d tackle Toledo, Azaa
Thomas corner Florida State, Tate Ratledge guard Georgia, Kyle Williams
wide receiver from where go Koog's Jonah Savannah guard Arizona,
(15:57):
Noah Williams corner, cal Jered Wilson, Georgia corner Center There,
Maxwell Hairston corner, Kentucky, he could be a player. Benjamin
Morrison corner Notre Dame. Trey Harris wide receiver, all Miss
James Pierce Edge Rusher, Tennessee. I don't know why James
Pearce is on the verge of not being draft in
(16:18):
the first round. That guy was a stud at Tennessee.
But then again, you know it is between the ears. Oh, bad, bad,
but you get that nears.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
He comes to the military type program with Mike McDonald,
that could be all out the window. Oh if Mike
McDonald's want to take that, you know, all right, we're on.
We're on a kid.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Maybe all right, So we're gonna hit the voice text line.
Right next, we're gonna hit the voice text line. Let's
hear your uh, your your draft boss. Let's role play
your biggest draft bus in Seattle Seahawks' history, whatever, whatever
ranch you want to go on, go to the new
improved iHeartRadio app and then go to ninety three to
three KJR. Hit the microphone icon button. We'll get to
(16:58):
that next right here on end. Jane in the midday,
don't forget Ryan Roberts draft expert will join us at
the top of the next hour.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Right here, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
I have a very simple formula for John Schneier when
it comes to drafting tonight.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Pick somebody who doesn't suck. That is all.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Well, that goes.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
That goes without saying you know, yeah, that goes without saying,
doesn't it. I mean we all know that it's funny.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Pick someone who doesn't suck. Yeah, that's by the way.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
You know what, though easier said than done, that's not
exactly the easiest thing to do. Uh So that's that's
pretty funny. Just ship straight to the point.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
All right.
Speaker 6 (17:54):
Next, you're gonna hate this, but give me Matthew Golden
because our receivers are trash. Besides JSN, Cooper Cup is
forty eight years old, hasn't been healthy in three years,
and Eron Curry is the biggest Seahawks bus number four
pick overall. Also, I won the mock draft yesterday, just
so everyone knows.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Oh, held said his name. I don't know his name. Oh,
congratulations on that you won the mock draft. That's great.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, that was fun man. I'll tell you you've been
a Queenian beer all right, for no, you never have Okay,
I mean I don't know, right, yeah, but I just
the food's great. The food's good, so you know, you know,
And but what a great place that was yesterday. All
(18:42):
the people came out and the dude who imitated Liam Cohen,
that was pretty freaking funny.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I'm like, who is this guy? Why is he wearing?
Why is he wearing a suit?
Speaker 1 (18:51):
And why does he have Jacksonville Jaguars like stickers with him?
I didn't get it, but then I understood he was
doing the imitation.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
All right.
Speaker 7 (19:00):
Hey, Mjay Isaiah from Everett, first time calling in. I
would love to see Seattle select Walter Nolan, the defensive
tackle out of Ole, Miss.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Okay. I know it's not a.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
Big position of need, but why not try to stack
that d line as much as he possibly can? And then,
in terms of biggest draft boss the Seahawks history, at
least in my lifetime, without doing any research, it's got
to be Aaron Curry select fourth overall by the Seahawks
and just did not pan out to be anything at all.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
You know, as they used to say, and it was
politically Now I guess it's considered politically incorrect to say this.
He looked like Tarzan. He played like Jane. But you
know what I mean, he did, he really did. You
thought you were getting Dan Hurley and you got Bob
Hurley pretty much. Yeah, I mean in terms of the coaching,
that was him as a player. Now, Bobby Hurley as
(19:48):
a player was great in college a little bit before
he got in that motorcycle accident. But I just looked
like Tarzan, played like Jane. Just he really did. He
just didn't.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
I'm like, remember him, man, dude. He got them to
the ACC championship game. I covered. I was there in
Tampa when they got to the They won like that.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
They made it to the ACC title game. Wake Forest,
Wake freaking Forest. That was not on John Schneiner. That's
why John Schneider ended up getting higher because that was
not on him.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Not on him.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Hey, this is Chris McIntosh, the twenty second overall pick
of the two thousand NFL Draft.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
For your Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Yeah, I just I'm here to I said, Chris McIntosh.
Do you mean who Chris McIntosh?
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Never heard of me? Yeah? I played for the Seahawks
the football team.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Nothing, huh, Chris McIntosh name ring a bell. I vaguely,
Oh wow, he trying to think here.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
He was a former football player back in the day,
and he did. He literally like like now I'm googling
this guy. That was literally him.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
He played for the Seahawks as a tackle.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Was an was a tackle at Wisconsin and and played
for the Seahawks twenty five years ago.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
From two thousand through two thousand and two. Don't remember him,
I really don't, but kodos to Chris McIntosh, bro like
good for him, Like he.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Literally called in like so is he is? He saying
his he was a bust.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
He was drafted in the first round with Sean Alexander.
He's calling it. We gotta hear that again, Chris, let's
hear that again. That is that is awesome.
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Hey, this is.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
Chris McIntosh, the twenty second overall pick of a two
thousand NFL draft.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
For your Seattle Seahawks. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
I just I'm here to, I said, Chris McIntosh. Do
you mean who Chris McIntosh?
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Never heard of me? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (22:01):
I played for the Seahawks, the football team nothing huh.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
I love the role play he was role playing, which
is funny. Now it really wasn't him he's the athletic
director now Wisconsin, he's the ad Do not remember him?
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Do not?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Oh wow, that's funny.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
Absolutely the biggest bus in Seahawks draft history.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Malik McDowell. Dude, flip the ATV gave himself brain damage
before he even got into Seahawks camp. That's just sad though.
I you know what guys stay off motorbil Daniel learn
from Ben Roethlisberger, Like, stay off motorcycles are their Those
are dangerous.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
It wasn't even a motorcycles, a ATV ATV.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
But that's dangerous too.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Well, it's dangerous. But when you go off to your
summer camp, like after you through rookie Minni hookie training camp,
rookie camp, I should say, and they tell you, hey,
make smart decisions. That's one of the those where you
just you know, I probably shouldn't ride that before the season.
Yeah right, that's more than it's not the safest thing,
but that's just something you don't do before the season
(23:09):
starts us.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
All right.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Yeah, Chris McIntosh man, I looked this guy up.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yeah, good call. A good poll by the uh the
voice text line there, good poll. He was in the
he was a.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
First round pick with Sean Alexander, who, as we know
was was excellent in his time.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
When an MVP. Last one, Chad from Burian, I'd like
to speak with your manager. That's funny.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
That was That was a good one. Yeah, there's a
few chads out here, aren't there? So that was really
well done. Maybe we can still do some more NFL
draft bus obviously you know the voice text lines like
a New York City diners open twenty four to seven,
Go to the new improved iHeartRadio app and then search
for ninety three k j R.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Hit the microphone icon button. You could.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Let's role play that guy. That was funny, Chad Macintosh.
I'm like, oh my god, no, I definitely don't remember
that dude at all. Like, and there's probably a reason why.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
How about this?
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Can I can I just tell you? Let me just
say one thing. We could kill the music here for
a second.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Now.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Max Unger was taken in the second round in nine,
and we all know how great he was. He was awesome, Okay,
so we can't say enough great things about him. John
Schneier's first draft. Let me just go ahead and sing
his praises on this. Russell o'kun first round pick, Earl Thomas,
first round pick, two first round picks.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Unbelievable. Golden Tate was good.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Wally was here, all right, he wasn't I mean, you know,
he wasn't Randy Moss or to Oh he was good
while he was here. Walter Thurman, Oregon Duck. And in
the fifth round, Cam Chancellor. What a draft that was?
(25:13):
That could be John Schneider's greatest shining moment was that draft?
That draft helped win a Super Bowl three years later? Unbelievable.
Oh how come nobody mentioned the text line? Did mention
the the four nine four or five one? Christine Michael? Yeah,
(25:35):
that was that was pretty bad. Don't take a running
back in the first round. Now, Ashton Genty's gonna go
It's fine, I get it. Oh but but you know what, though,
I gotta say this, Chris, which draft do you like better?
The one in twenty ten or the one in twenty twelve.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Irvin Wagner Wilson like, that's that's freaking sick bang bang
bang bang.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Oh, by the way, sweeze seventh rounder, that sweezey seventh round.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Yeah, I mean John, to find some seventh round talent,
I'll give him, that David Moore who's still in the league.
I think it's with the Panthers wide receiver Kenneth Walker. No,
Ale Kenneth Walker. Excuse me, Chris Carson, that is before
his neck injury. Yeah, seventh round pick turned out to
be top ten running back when he was at his best,
So he can find some.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Twelve was I mean Jr.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Sweezy in the seven and then yeah, you get Irvin
Wagner Wilson. I mean, Wagner is a future Hall of Famer. Wilson,
if certain things that happened in that game against the
Patriots would probably.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Be a sure fire Hall of Famer.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
He still like to be a Hall of Famer one day, right,
Russ could be a Hall of Famer one day.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
I think he could.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I mean, we'll see how it ends. Yeah, we'll see
how it ends.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
But it's easily with the Giants.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
It won't end pretty, No, But but I think there's
enough there to.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
At least war a discussion. I think that's fair. Right,
Marshawn should be in, But jeez, we know how that's
gonna go. Why you don't think he's gonna get in.
I don't think he's gonna get in No, why not.
I don't know. They're just he doesn't get the love
he deserves. Oh well, and I will say that too,
like he just doesn't get it right. He should right
for his consistency, but.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
He treats like he wasn't the nicest to the media either,
right with the media.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
He didn't care for the media.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
No, that's what I'm saying. So he really that's an understatement. Yeah,
that's an understatement.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
All right.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
I gotta get back on the winning track. Let's win
you some money.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Beat the books next on MJ in the midday NFL
Draft inns Ryan Roberts. At the top of the hour.
Oh by the way, Ian Fernesh said that Earl Thomas
will be coming on at one twenty.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
So there's that. Don't go anywhere, all right, we gotta
get back on track after the other night. That was
a rough one. Memphis just they're not ready for the
(28:00):
they're not ready for They're not ready for this life.
They're just they're they're done. Oklahoma City is just be
slapping them all over the place, destroying them. It's just
pay it.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Like I mean, it's like, just go home. If listen,
if you don't want to be there anymore. Just go home,
you know, but you know, like try to.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
If they wanted to. I don't think they belong. They're
just not good enough, that's true. I know they can
try whatever they want. They are not talented enough.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yeah, I know, I know, not not not against this
team that's a juggernaut that they will be playing in June,
against the Celtics or someone in the NBA Finals, more
than likely the Celtics. All right, tonight and the n
b A. We got the Knicks, Pistons. Knicks are one
(28:52):
and a half point favorite. We have the thunder Grizzlies
this time in Memphis, and we have the Nuggets Clippers
in LA. I'm a little weary on some of these picks,
but I think the strongest play tonight goes with the
(29:17):
Denver Nuggets plus five and a half points. I'm not
saying they're gonna win the game, give me five and
a half on the road against LA, especially after losing
Game two at home. I mean, you're kind of getting
to where you're gonna have to win one of these
two in LA to get home court advantage back. So
maybe tonight they can do it. But I love the
(29:39):
Nuggets plus the number. The Nuggets perform very well as
an underdog, and I believe that Michael Porter Junior is healthy.
And I think Adelman after he got away with it
in Game one playing Russell Westbrook over Porter, he now
knows that you can't do that and then you want
to play them both. Fine, but my Michael Porter needs
(30:01):
to be on the court. So all that being said,
give me the Nuggets plus the points in that one.
That is my big play of the day. Bet it now,
wait for it, thank me later. That's all I can say.
(30:23):
That's all I can say on that one. Bet it now,
thank me later. Give me the Nuggets plus the points.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
And and.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Chris, I've never done this during this segment, Nah, Denver,
I'm taking Denver. I was gonna call an audible at
the line of scrimmage. I was gonna I'm really gonna
call an audible.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
But I like, you're sticking with your guns. That's good.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
I'm sticking with Denver as We'll appreciate that. And if
you wanted to do a parlay or hedge, do it. Parlay,
take Denver plus the points and take the Pistons on
the money line. I think the Pitton's got the Knick shook.
I know, watch this next team. I'm a delfelong, diehard
Knicks fan. They got the Nick shook. I like the
(31:15):
Pistons at home. That start is at four o'clock local
time here. So if you're feeling a little frisky and
you want to do a little parlay action, you just
don't want to do the solo. You want to get
some value nuggets plus the five and a half Pistons
on the money line, you're getting one and a half,
but doesn't do you any good. They're gonna win the game.
I think the Knicks are shook. They're so shook that
(31:35):
Tobias Harris is calling them soft, like Tobias Harris, guy
who's made the most money in NBA history, who's never
made an All Star Game.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
That's a fact, Tobias Harris.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
When Tobias Harris is calling you soft, you better, you
better sack up big time. I just don't know about
this Knicks team, and I think they lose this game.
It'll be bye bye, Tom Thibodeau, Hello, Mike Malone. That's
what I'm going Ryan Roberts, NFL draft expert, will join
us next. We will go through every scenario for the Seahawks,
(32:09):
and one guy who might have a very long night,
projected to go in the first round but might not
go until tomorrow. We'll find out who and more. Ryan
Roberts next on MJ in the midday on ninety three
to three.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
