Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Happy Friday, here we go. Thank you for starting this
day with us. Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Actor Eric Danes has been diagnosed with ALS. He's best
known for his roles as mix Steemi on Grey's Anatomy
and Cal Jacobs and Euphoria. He put out a statement
asking for privacy for him and his family during this time.
In that same statement, he did confirm that he will
start filming the next season of Euphoria on Monday, and
that he feels fortunate enough to be able to continue
(00:28):
working at this time. Thinking about him and his family
right now, he is two teenagers and a wife, so,
you know, just kind of sending everybody a positive vibes
right now. Obviously this is going to be something that
is going to take some time to you know, come
to terms with.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
So hopefully everything goes well for him. Hope you're ready
for more cicadas.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Oh no, they emerge anytime early April to early June.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
All just depends on the weather.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
But according to Cicada Mania, the forecast shows another brood
is going to emerge in Tennessee and Kentucky, as well
as Virginia West Virginia there's going to be obviously a
bunch of them. They come every seventeen years. Just be
ready for the cicadas.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I honestly truly had no idea they're coming back this year.
I thought we had them last year's.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
We were done for a while.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
But this surprised me yesterday. But apparently we're getting more.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
It doesn't seem to be as big of a deal
as last time. Last time there were two broods at once.
Oh okay, so there were a lot of cicadas. If
you remember, you couldn't like walk outside of your house
without a cicada flying in your face always. So it
seems like that's why a lot of people don't know
about it, because it's not supposed to be as dramatic
as last time. But there will be cicados though, so
just keep that in mind. And Meta has added new.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Teen safety features for Facebook and Instagram. These are great.
These are all things that they're.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Trying to do to make sure that teens are safe online.
These changes are for under sixteen users. Teens now need
a parent's okay to go live on Instagram, which is amazing,
And any nudity that gets sent in dms will be
blurred automatically, no questions asked.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
There's no way around it. Okay, yes, all great stuff.
We'd love to see that.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Obviously, like I said, this is their way of trying
to make it so that it's more safe for teens
to be on the internet.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Obviously, there's a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
The Internet just grew so fast and so much happened
so quickly, and we did not keep up with, you know,
the way that things need to be. So this is
a good thing, American Sanchez and those are the three
things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Thank you so much, Ricky, real quick before we get
back into music, Can I ask why you're wearing your
sweashirt like Justin Bieber with one like Justin Bieber.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Oh my god, I really am.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Well.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
I got new.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Tattoos, so I was putting stuff on them so that
they're not dry.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Okay, it was a little distracting that whole time you're
doing the three things. Here's the weekend. We have more
Shine doown tickets for the first callar coming in ten minutes.
We've had them all week. This is your last chance
to get them. They're bridgestone in a month. We'll ask

Speaker 3 (03:07):

because that would be me.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Wait, why are you confused about where you are?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I mean he's driving.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Oh look, Nick is like, I don't care what you
have to say about me not knowing where I am.
Speaker 5 (03:20):

Speaker 4 (03:21):

seven five the River.
Speaker 2 (03:26):

a big Shindown fan.
Speaker 5 (03:32):

Speaker 2 (03:33):

Speaker 7 (03:50):
I did not know that.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
I will have to look into that.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
It's really good. What is it The garlic one that
we really like.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yes, I will definitely have to do that.
Speaker 3 (03:58):

Speaker 5 (04:16):
This weekend we finally get pretty well.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
This taking God, thank God.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
And every Friday at this time Zach has a fun
little list for you so that you can see what's
going on in Nashville.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
It's hard to keep up with everything.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
Yeah, get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Speaker 8 (04:29):
There's things to do with their kiddos, with the family,
or if you want to leave him at home, parents,
I got you too.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Cool Right after Gracie Abrams the keeper of the calendar, Zach,
He's gonna run it all down for us. Everything cool
happening in Nashville this weekend. I'll let you know.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
On the River seven five the River, Ricky, Zach and
men O the second ago.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I said, keeper of the calendar. Do you prefer that
the head of happenings? Which title do you like, the
keeper of the calendar or planner in chief?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I kind of like the second one.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
The head of happenings.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
Yeah, hello, I am what were the head of happening?
Speaker 4 (05:01):
So I feel like that sounds mysterious to you.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
Job title.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
It's Rickie zach Amno in the morning on one of
seven five the River. Kevin saying that because Zach at
this time every Friday has a fun little list of
all the things that you can do in Nashville, because
obviously it's hard to keep up with so much always
happening every weekend here.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Yeah, there's a lot going on.
Speaker 8 (05:20):
Let's start with up in Gallatin, they are doing a
market in the park.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
It's at Triple Creek Park.
Speaker 8 (05:25):
So it's happening both Saturday and Sunday, I mean today
and tomorrow, so Friday and Saturday, and they're gonna have
like eighty different vendors.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
You can tap your toes to live music.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
They say, toes, tap your toes.
Speaker 8 (05:38):
They got a bunch of different food trucks all under
the sunny skies of Triple Creek Park. So it's like
this beautiful market that's happening in Gallatin. Also, I love
that this is happening in Hendersonville. It's the Autism Awareness
and Acceptance Fair. So you can go and join the
community and celebrate neurodiversity, and you'll hear from different agencies
that serve the autism community. You'll hear presentations about relevant
(05:59):
top and use a sensory space. Like there's so much
to go and learn more about autism. And if you
have an autistic child, you can go and meet other
families that are like.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
You, which I just think that's really cool.
Speaker 8 (06:10):
So that's happening at the Henderson Public Library tomorrow from
ten to one thirty. And then also is the Nashville
Cherry Blossom Festival. It is tomorrow at Public Square Park.
So this is where they go celebrate the Japanese culture
and so there's gonna be various vendors, there's gonna be
martial art demonstrations.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Also have the Pups and Pink Parade, Yes, I think
that's what it's called, right, Pups.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
And pink pumbles and something in pink.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I think.
Speaker 8 (06:33):
They also have sumo wrestling and it's completely free so
you want something to do. Tomorrow's at Public Square Park
from nine thirty to five.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Take your allergy medicine.
Speaker 8 (06:43):
Tomorrow is also Record Store Day. So Record Store Day
is an annual event celebrating independent record stores featuring exclusive
and limited edition vinyl and CD releases at like just
participating stores. So check your local favorite record store and
see if they're doing anything.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
The record Grimey's Vinyl Tap, Third Man Records.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Yes, so many, so many places that you can go.
Speaker 8 (07:06):
And then tonight and tomorrow night if you want to
go see a show. Caine Brown is at Bridgetone Arena
tonight and tonight, Yes, and then one more show. I'm
actually going to this one as well. Wanda Sykes is
at the Ryman on Sunday, so you can go see
the Emmy winning, Emmy winning comedian as she reflects on
her work in TV, film and stand up comedy. So
(07:26):
it's at the Ryman on Sunday with Wanda Sykes. All right,
I know there's a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
There is a lot. Thank you for that rundown.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
I'm out of breath now.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
The head of Happenings, I love it. Sounds like you
have a busy weekend.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
You're doing a lot of those week are three things?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, Hello, Happy Friday. Just after seven o'clock, Ricky Sanchez says,
those three things.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Did you just have to reboot real quick? Is going
off over there?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
The National Weather Service will no longer translate weather alerts
to other languages. The Weather Service has paused the translations
because it's contract with provider that they had has lapsed.
According to the National Weather Service, a spokesperson who is
talking about it, nearly sixty eight million people in the
US speak a language other than English at home, including
forty two million Spanish speakers, according to a twenty nineteen
(08:14):
census data. So a lot of experts are warning that
this is a life or death situation here and if
they don't reinstate the contract soon or figure out another
way to make this happen with all the budget cuts
that a lot of people.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Are going to unfortunately pass away because of.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
It, So hopefully they got this figured out very soon,
especially with the fact that we are getting more and
more severe weather in so many other areas that they
don't typically get severe weather, and in areas that do
like us. Obviously, everybody needs to know what's happening, what
to do and how to handle those situations.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
So hopefully they figure that out soon. I'll keep you updated.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Dolly Parton Journey of a Seeker opens in the Country
Music Hall of Fame and Museum This may so next month,
on Tuesday, May twentieth, to be exact, is when it's
going to open. The exhibit is going to feature personal artifacts,
handwritten lyrics, and more from Dolly's six decade career. Oh,
I just love her so much. You'll be able to
check it out through September thirtieth, twenty twenty six. But
(09:10):
make sure you go do that as soon as you can,
because obviously we love Dolly Parton and we love to
see things like this.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I'm gonna go see it because I need to see it, Like.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
I said, May twentieth is when it opens at the
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. And Trader Joe's
Mini totes are back and some resellers are selling them
for over one thousand dollars dollarsy little tote, big chiny.
People are losing their minds over them again. They are
two dollars and ninety nine cents at Trader Joe's. They
come in four passel shades, this time around lavender, pink, green,
(09:42):
and blue. The lavender one is so cute, Kevin, I
want it so bad.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Don't pay a thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
I don't have a thousand dollars. Customers that are running
to the store, they're buying as many as they possibly
can so that they can resell them online. Like I said,
some for over one thousand dollars. So weird because they're
really they're not big bags.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
They're cute, but they're small.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
They I don't know they should be one thousand dollars,
but you do you boop.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Thank you, Ricky. Right after Pink Pony Club, we're gonna
learn on this Friday morning, Zach is standing by with
a fact, Zack's bags next down the river.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
All right, Zach, what do you got for us? It's
Zack s Fax on one of seven five of the river.
Speaker 8 (10:26):
This fact is once again brought to you by Ricky's
fiance aj. I got a text around like nine pm
last night. I said, Zach's fact elephants have forty thousand
muscles in their trunks.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Wow, did you look this up?
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Or we just uh we were watching a documentary together
A J and I and we heard that fact.
Speaker 8 (10:43):
And he's a teacher, so I trust him is an
elephant teacher. Forty thousand muscles, they got very strong trunks,
and that's your fact of the day.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I got picked up by an elephant trunk once.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Wow, I'm jealous.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Ricky have been quote unquote planning a wedding for a
while now. It's just I say that because it's a
lot of money, it takes a lot of time. So
we do things very sporadically when it comes to wedding planning, have.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
You done anything?
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Little tiny things, little tiny things.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
So this ends up being a conversation that comes up
quite often because I have other friends planning weddings. But
what is what was on or is on your do
not play list for your wedding?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
What songs you absolutely not want to play?
Speaker 4 (11:29):
The cannot be played? I will say. My fiance is
a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. We are a Springsteen household.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
But I told him he can only play five Bruce Springsteen.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Songs every night.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
That's a lot fair.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Thank you, thank you. I think I was being very
nice about.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
It, like three, I know six seven, three seven nine
one o seven. What song did you not allow your wedding?
Would you not allow it your wedding to have one
coming up or in the future at any point? What
is a do not play song at your wedding?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Let us know one River Heiky zach Nano in the morning.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
What songs were on your do not playlist for your
wedding or if it's coming up, what songs are on
it for your wedding in the future?
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Brittany and Clarksville. What was that song for you.
Speaker 7 (12:11):
Happy by Pharrell?
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Is there a Is there a reason for that?
Speaker 7 (12:15):
I hate that song.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
You would think, you know, wedding's happy, maybe you'd want
to play it, but you just you don't mess with
that song, like you're like, absolutely not.
Speaker 7 (12:25):
I think when it came out my parents overplayed it
and they're like, yay, we're happy, and I'm like, I
don't want to be happy right now.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Okay, what movie he made that for?
Speaker 6 (12:36):
A movie?
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Is that a Minions movie?
Speaker 4 (12:37):
I think maybe it.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
Came out before because it's an old song.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
But you're not.
Speaker 8 (12:43):
I think he did it for a Minions movie, but
you're dispic Despicable Me Too, which is.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
A Minions movie.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So there's no personal connection there, like you're you're not
like terrified of Minions or anything.
Speaker 7 (12:51):
No, I love the movies. Just hate the song.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Okay, I would I want to be terrified.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
They're kind of creepy. But yeah, okay, that's a good one.
Thank you, Brendany. I'm so that you hate that song.
It's a great song.
Speaker 7 (13:01):
It's okay, just please don't play it.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Ok I get it, but I understand where you're coming from.
Speaker 7 (13:06):
I have a great daylight YouTube. Bye guys.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Tanya in Gallatin, Good morning, Welcome to the river. Do
you have a do not play song for a wedding?
Speaker 6 (13:15):
I do, Actually it was at my wedding.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (13:18):
So my husband and I moved to Utah for a
couple of years in Salt Lake City from Nashville. So
we lived there for like two and a half years.
But we got married there and we knew no one,
and all of our neighbors are Mormon looking again, some
Mormons love the Mormons super sweet, but all of them
(13:38):
were our newly met Mormon neighbors, and we got married
in our backyard, and after we got married, my husband
starts blasting jump on my Big ten inch by Haerrol Smith.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
I'll be honest familiar with this, but please do not
tell us anything else about it. I think we've got
we've got enough information.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
So yeah, I guess that that would be a good
one to add to the do not playlist.
Speaker 7 (14:10):
Yes, absolutely, I was shocked. I was so embarrassed.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
I was like, oh my gosh, you know, like all
these newly met people, you know, and he plays that
as soon as we got married, everything's over and your.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
Husband's pretty funny though.
Speaker 6 (14:27):
I'm not gonna lie, it's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Thank you telling you. That's a great one.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
Thank you for calling than a great day, Bilo.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
So Ricky, write that down.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
I actually want to write that on the please do playlist.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
You have something to add.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Wake up happy with the Ricky, Zach and Mano in
the morning, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Mano's Game of the day. We're playing for Kesha tickets.
She's gonna be able to send amphitheater July fifteenth. It's
gonna be a great show.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
I plan on being there this new Kesha.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
I mean, I feel like she sort of reinvented herself
in a way like she's just returning to her roots
or something.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
But I love it.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
It's a party.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Are you ready to play, Savannah?
Speaker 6 (15:06):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
All right, Savannah and Hendersonville. You know how the game works.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I do.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
I'm ready. All right.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
We're gonna throw some artist atue. You tell us where
they're from. If you get three out of five of them,
these catch tickets to yours.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
And not to add any pressure, but I think everybody
this week is won. We've never had to go.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
To a second collar.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Okay, no confidence, Savannah, confidence.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Pressure, all right, your game starts right now. Cia, Iggy
Azalea and the kid Larroy all grew up in what country?
Speaker 9 (15:40):
He said? Iggy Azalia and kid Learoy and Sia. Yeah,
the three of them, Australia.
Speaker 2 (15:49):

Okaye, you still gotta get two.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
More, Okay, I know.
Speaker 9 (15:55):

Speaker 4 (15:57):
No, we love the excitement. We just want to make
sure that you know.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
Yeah, no, No, I'm trying to calm down.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
Question too.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
The killers, imagine Dragons and panic at the disco all
got started in what city?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
What?
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Us city?
Speaker 9 (16:14):
Oh? Gosh, I have no idea Vegas.
Speaker 2 (16:21):

Speaker 2 (16:24):
You just guessed Vegas and you got that right.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Yes, okay, that one scream you can scream now.
Speaker 2 (16:31):

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Be more specific.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Okay, Yeah, there's not much coming out of North Korea.
So congratulations three for three of you guys.

this Friday morning. Happy Friday. Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Post Malone is this year's Record Store Day Ambassador.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Record Store Day is tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (17:57):

Can be considered collectors items.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Obviously, it's a huge days to support local, so please
go out to your local record store like Grimy's Vinyl Tap,

a lot of them are doing a lot of fun
activities around Record Store Day, so check out what they're
doing at your local one. Go support them. It's a
huge day for music lovers and people would like to
(18:24):
st support the community. Miller High Life has created a
vinyl record with real beer inside. Speaking of records, it's
called Dive Bar Sounds. It's a limited edition album that
has original tracks made with classic dive bar noises, so
think like jukebox hums in the background, clinking of glasses,
(18:45):
moving of chairs, things like that some.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Billiards supposed to.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Yeah, it's all designed to bottle up the vibe of
what a night out at a bar would sound like, which.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Honestly kind of sounds cool. I would. I'm not mad
about it.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I looked at it and it looks pretty cool too,
with the beer inside the vital it's actually innovative.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Sounds kind of silly, but I like it. And twelve
South is getting a community garden.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
This is really amazing. I would love to see this
go everywhere. I want to see this in every community.
Stephanie Levinson and Drew Levinson they bought an empty property
lot on tenth Avenue South a couple of years ago.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
They planned to build.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
A home on it one day, but right now it's
pretty empty, so they're going to make it a community
garden for the.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Next few years.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
In a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday night, they decided to
start the building process. So they plan to grow tomatoes,
kale and grow the community. So everybody's welcome to join
in and help grow all of these plants. But I
think this is an amazing idea, and like I said,
I would love to see this in more and more
communities across Nashville because it's a great way to get
(19:48):
involved and also so helpful for those who need fresh items,
fresh fruits, fresh veggies, all those good things.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
I'm Maricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
And I kind of like the juxtaposition, like twelve South
is getting so many like high end businesses. Yeah, so
it's nice to do something a little more, you know,
just like homegrown.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
We do need this in more and more communities, though,
in the communities that need it most.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
So hopefully this happens. I like it across Nashville.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
