Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is where I would push back when I see
this kind of insight and passion being directed at the
current administration and the lack of this kind of insight
and passion being directed at the previous administration, where again
I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about left leaning
news media organizations were kind of like.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
La la la la la. Evening's fine, Look the environments.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I mean, look, the economy's great, La la la, Immigration's
not that much of a problem. And really being Cleopatra
Queen of denial, thank you Boom, I would push.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Back on immigration. I can specifically remember when Greg Abbott
of Texasis and Ron DeSantis of Florida sent those buses
of migrants to different cities, different parts of the country,
which ended up being politically genius for both of them.
The media regularly talked about the fact that Biden was
(00:55):
not doing enough in his first two and a half
years on immigration, even though in the last year and
a half you're seeing the numbers go down. He just
wasn't doing enough, and you saw it in how people
voted right. You had places like the Bronx, who had
places like New Jersey, people who said I'm not happy
with immigration. In this country, and that's why Democrats are
scrambling to recalibrate now. But I do think that was covered.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
No self awareness for Stephanie Rule on MSNBC, and all
due respect to Rain Wilson, who I think is a
brilliant guy and a good actor. But when Dwight Shrewt
has it figured out and you don't, maybe, just maybe
you're the problem. Aaron Ryan Schuling Live joined by Stephen L.
Miller Red Steez on x You can listen to his
Versus Media podcast through his sub stack as well.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Stephen, the floor is yours.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Your response to what you heard from Stephanie Rule on
Rain Wilson's podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
He was talking about her. He was just trying to
be polite. People forget about Stephie Rowe. She was the
one who went on Bill Laher prior to the election,
I think it was in the September Party election and
told The York Times columnist Bret Stevens that we don't
need to know anything about Kamala Harris because we know
everything about Donald Trump. And so here you have somebody
who in this podcast said the only thing we can
(02:07):
do now is shine a light on this current administration.
What they're doing. Wasn't interested in anything about shining a
light on Kamala Harris. I mean, that's all fine, she
is who she is from MSNBC. She made her way
through Bloomberg. But just the kind of again, the tone
deafness of it all, where you have a guy who
played spur Ham Siddle on The Office is saying you
guys essentially lied to the country for three years. You
(02:30):
light about immigration, you led about the economy, you lied
about Joe Biden's decline, and in turn, voters kind of
saw this and they've abandoned you. You've lost up to
sixty percent of the country who just doesn't trust you
anymore because I don't trust that the booth is the
best interest of what you have in mind on what
you give me when I turn on your news station.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Bears beats Battlestar Galactica. That's what Rain Wilson knows is
White shrew. Those of you who are fans of the Office,
you know what I'm talking about, and I think Stephen
does as well. But what struck me about stephan rule,
and not that I was surprised, it just struck me Stephen,
was this inability to have any sort of self reflection,
like maybe if I look in the mirror, I could
(03:10):
have done something differently. I mean, Rain Wilson gives her
that opportunity, but she fails to take accountability for anything.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Forty percent of Americans don't trust mainstream media.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Why is that? How did we get here?
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Listen, we are seeing a huge loss in trust of
all of our institutions. It's the media, it's medicine, it's banking.
It's a huge problem because when you think about democracy
and all of these pillars, they need to stand tall,
they need to stand strong, and sort of losing that
trust is not by accident, it's by design. If you
(03:46):
remember when President Trump was running the first time, Steve
Bannon once said, the goal is to blow the whole
thing up. And so I think that you've got mistakes
made or things starting to slip. While at the same
time there's a concern effort to destroy the media, because
the media, that the news media is, in my opinion,
the last slide of defense of holding power accountable.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Just like she did with a Biden administration. Right.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
But further to that point, I mean, she's citing this boogeyman,
Steve Bannon, and then she later mentions Elon Musk, it's
this grand plot to undermine the credibility the mainstream media Steve,
and it's nothing the mainstream media did, or even further
to our point, there's nothing that medicine, big pharma did
or that banking did to draw any kind of scorn
or distrust in those institutions. It's all because of our
(04:35):
perceptions of them.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
Right, That's kind of exactly what she's saying, is that,
you know, she goes on to specifically blame Elon Musk's
media machine on Twitter. Well, I think it's interesting is
they had Twitter, they owned it, They used it to
suppress people with different political ideologies. If you so much
on old Twitter said that you didn't think that boys
(04:56):
could become girls, your account was sent into the stratosphere
and never to be seen from again. And basically, when
they decided we're going to try to ban people over
guilkes or whatever, Yeah, that's a French bulldogged they tried.
We're saying we're gonna try to ban people over jokes
or whatever. That kind of led what Elon Musk's interest
(05:17):
in that platform was. So to say that somehow Elon
Musk just acquired this great big community you know media machine.
Although you guys had that media machine and you had
captured all of these institutions. You've captured academia, you've captured
nas media, you've captured entertainment, you've captured institutionalized like you said,
(05:38):
big farm in medicine. All of these things have failed,
and people like Stephanie Reel have been on the wrong
side of an issue going back now five years. And
it's not just wrong, it's maliciously so it actively tried
to hide the truth of issue. Whether it was COVID origins,
which was a racist conspiracy theory, the hunter by Laptop
was Russia, Joe Biden talked to decline was just a
(06:00):
product of key fake videos. We can go on and
on and on, and people eventually see this where you're
not wrong because you just you misstated a fact. You're
wrong because you have an ideology that's thriving you. And
if that's the case, I'd rather go listen to Joe
Rogan because he's just more entertaining.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Than you are.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
And I'd rather listen to your Friendschie who refuses to
be censored.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
Stephen, that's the prince, that's the princess. Deciding I'm gonna
run around with the speaky toy and do whatever I
want when I'm on the radio.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Steven al Miller, our guest read stez on X, host
of the Versus Media podcast. I gotta stick with Stephanie
Ruhle in this Rain Wilson podcast because the thing is
is double edged.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Start.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
She brings up all these important topics, but she does
nothing to address the root causes or the true problems
they're in now here. She's challenging people vet your own
news sources. Don't believe everything you see and hear. But
listen to the example she provides.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
The last one I would make would be when you
talked about like oh and they make it look really official.
This goes back to where you get your news from.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Right.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
What we have to go through in terms of legal
and standards is a huge mountain as opposed to social media. Right,
I could create a website today called Patriotic Moms who
Love America, and I could create a Facebook group, and
I could write an article today that says, if you
if your child gets milk out of the school lunch program,
(07:21):
they're going to become a transgender. I don't know what,
by the time they're fifteen, Okay, I could post that
on Patriotic Moms for America and it could go on
Facebook by Friday when I see my mother on the weekend,
and she'll say, are you letting? Are you letting the
kids have milk in school? Because I've heard terrible things
about milking school And so the misinformation is real.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
So misinformation is real.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
And the example she cites Stephen obviously is a far
right kind of conspiracy theory thing. This is where they've
kind of caricatured those who have opinions different from theirs.
There's no misinformation or conspiracy theories coming from the left.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
They only toe the line when it comes to the truth.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Facebook group has already taken
I bet that's a pretty safe bet that she could
not go and do that. But here she's also convoluting
the issue. She's saying that she's putting out this kind
of conspiracy theory. But there really is a discussion happening
about gender issues as it pertains two elementary schools. This
(08:25):
is a thing that is actually happening in This is
a thing that was actually voted on just this past November.
And this is kind of kind of the tug and
pole happening inside the DNC right now, is do we
abandon this kind of stuff and just get back to
talking about things like the economy, or do we double
down on kinds of this identitarian politics that we've been
going through for the past five years. And so she
(08:45):
doesn't want to address that issue shows so she herself
creates a conspiracy theory. She creates that out of thin air,
and then she says, well, it's the right who is
pushing this. This is this is a very real issue,
the issue of biological males in women's sports, the issues
of privacy in private spaces for women, and it's one
of the reasons you saw one of the biggest shifts
(09:07):
towards the Republican candidates in this prior election. And that's
where they can look at this and say, Okay, this
is an actual movement that we're seeing in shift of voters,
or the country's just sexist and racist and we're the
right ones. And she appears to be falling into the
latter category of that.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
And this is a classic tactic and it's mainly employed
by the left. Whereas you take an argument which is legitimate,
and you make it ridiculous by exaggerating the argument in
the true form, the literal definition of a straw man
saying that if you give your kids a certain milked urnam.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Trance, that's not what we're saying.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
And in facts, Stephen, you and I well know right
here in Colorado it's happening where the Democrats are trying
to ram a bill through the General Assembly that says
if a parent doesn't affirm the preferred pronouns and gender
identity of their children, it can be a factor in
taking the children away from the parents.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
That's real, that's happening, right.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
And this is all at the same time while you
have activists wing of you know, the DNC saying that
the Republicans are just they're they're obsessed with gender and
they're obsessed with genitals and they're the weird guys. Well,
you guys tried that one in this prior election. And
as I said, when Kamala Harris doesn't flip a single county,
which is a first for I think any presidential candidate ever,
(10:27):
that's telling you that you guys are out of step
from just reality. And when I say reality, this is
not a public policy. This is something that we have
been told since the beginning of time of our species,
and they've decided that we have to accommodate everybody's feelings.
And therefore, in this whole inclusitivity debate, you end up
excluding everybody. And that's exactly what's happening. And so again,
(10:50):
until these people kind of look in the mirror and say, hey,
is the junk that we're pushing. Are the things that
we're pushing have anything to do with this? If no,
we're going to continue to blame stupid voters. We're going
to continue to blame crazy maga groups on Facebook as
opposed to you know, the stuff that we'd have embraced.
And you are, you're really seeing, you are seeing a
struggle inside that part of that part of the island,
(11:13):
that part of the party on which way to go.
And it's going to be entertaining, but it also could
offer a warning because this is how you end up
with a candidate alexandri Acasio Cortez for president.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Well, perish the thought. Steven L.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Miller reads these on X Versus Media podcast hosts. There's
one more clip from Stephanie Rule, and this one kind
of got lost in the shuffle. But it shouldn't because
this is the darkest and most ominous comment that she
makes in this podcast appearance with Rain Wilson.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
There's been outcry about this for years that it's not
getting any better.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Well, it's not getting any better because, and I blame
all factions of the government, we still have not regulated
social media companies.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Right.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
The social media companies are bigger platforms than any news
organ We're sitting here dumping on You're like, I'm really
unhappy with MSNBC, Stephanie, And I hear that.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Ho why I come up?
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah, I hear that. But MSNBC is this big, and
you have got the megaphone of these social media platforms
and what they can do, and they are completely unregulated.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Under the guys under the name of free speech.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Under the name of free speech, yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
So they can say anything on there. They could say,
we're propaganda, yeah, under.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
The guys of free speech. Now, Democrats didn't do anything
about it. I mean they've put together working groups. But
never forget the most how big the lobbying efforts are
of these companies.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Under the guys of free speech.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
That sounds orwellian to me, Steven, break that part of
it down, if you would.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
This is again her what's funny about her? She used
all the buzzwords in her excuse making. She used democracy,
she used disinformation, she used Russia, she used everything that
these people have been like ingrained into their lexicon over
the last five years without learning any lessons. And this
is another issue, the regulation of free speech. We all
(13:01):
know what that means. It means that you guys don't
get to sit on your TV studios anymore and talk
at us while we're not able to talk back. And
you know that became a very popular pasttime prior to
places like Facebook and Twitter. Well, now people do have
the ability to talk back, and that's really all this was.
There wasn't a lot of talk of regulation when prior
(13:23):
to Elon Musk owning Twitter is because Twitter just decided
we're going to do the bidding of the political party
that we want and we're just going to enhammer accounts
left and right that we want to so we don't
even have to worry about regulation. We must comes in
and he says we're going to do things a little
bit differently. Now there's still in terms of service, you
can't openly make threats. But Harrytson from CNN found that
(13:45):
ever since Musk found bought Twitter, it's basically become the
most even platform there is on social media. It's fifty
percent less forty eight percent right. And so all they
did was lose one toy that bounced the conversation prior
to being owned that way, and they're screaming about it.
And so we know what regulation means. We know it's censorship.
(14:06):
We know we should have the ability to talk back
to these people, and they pick a bad time again
to pick this fight. Maybe one day they'll get there,
but for now, this this is a causing of you know,
this is a situation that was causes of their own behavior.
So I often make the joke all you guys had
to do is leave the Babylon be alone from making
a silly trans joke, and we wouldn't be here today.
(14:28):
But I think that you know, that's there's a huge
butterfly effect to Elon Musk taking over their favorite toy,
and where we sit today, they really only have themselves
to blame for this.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
And really, the guys, if we're going to use that
that's projection the guys, is that we're going to root
out disinformation. What that means is silence voices we don't
like and we don't agree with. We go back to
Scary Poppins and Nina Jankowitz, the disinformation bizar who's sang
that bizarre song. And I don't want censorship, but let's
(15:00):
just walk down that path a little bit, Steven. If
there was and they were fair minded about it, and
they wanted to root out the conspiracy theories and the
exaggeration the misinformation, disinformation, malinformation of the left, that would
be one thing.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
But that's not what was happening.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Do you know where Nina Jenkwitz currently is right now?
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Do I want to know?
Speaker 5 (15:20):
He's currently over in Europe testifying in front of the
EU that they cannot trust the information ecosystems coming out
of the.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
United States anymore.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Guard She's preaching to a parliamentary system of government that
arrests people for silent protests and online means that you
cannot trust the information ecosystem the United States. That's who
she is.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
That's chilling, Steven o'miller, Our guests got to get your
thoughts on this last one.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
This is a classic.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
She will be a nominee for our Friday Fool of
the Week and all credit to Sam Fragoso. Here pressing
Elizabeth Warren not taking her soft serve answer on defending
Joe Biden's mental acuity during the twenty twenty four campaign.
Speaker 6 (16:01):
Do you regret saying that President Biden had a mental acutey?
He had a sharpness to him. He said that up
until July of last year.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I said what I believed to be true.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
Do you think he was as sharp as you?
Speaker 4 (16:18):
I said I had not seen decline, and I hadn't
at that point.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
You did not see any decline from twenty twenty four
Joe Biden to twenty twenty one Joe Biden.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Oh, when I said that, give us the sin is heap?
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Look? He was sharp, he was on his feet. I
saw him live event. I had meetings with him a.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
Couple of times.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
Senator on his feet is not praise. He can speak
in sentences is not praise.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Fair enough, fair enough?
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Wow, that did not go over well and she didn't
sound very cold there, Stephen.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
Yeah, much like how her early Native people's viewed cameras,
you can kind of feel her soul leading her body
with just a couple of the little questions I mean
she faces. She faces kind of like the gentlest pushback,
and this just this shows you how democrats get off
on being covered by media. They depend on their message
(17:23):
being pushed in media, and they depend on them to
not push them. And he think she faces just two
of the friendliest questions from a friendly podcast host and
she completely just melts down. So I think she'll probably
have some reservations about going on the podcast in the future.
She probably didn't think it was such a gamble when
she did it at the time, but I'm probably sure
(17:43):
she's regretting it, and you should. You should direct your
audience to the videof of that, because the audio alone
doesn't do it justice. She gets scores in her seat
like this was a between two fern skit, and it
really is. This is when when Jake Tapper's passing this
video around to promote his book, you know that it
didn't go well for her, and this is one of
these things that they're until the day as a party
(18:06):
addressed their role in this, they're not going to be
able to get away from this. And so yeah, it's
it's a pretty extraordinary clip for her.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Those pauses were not edited by the way, those were
actual real time her. As Steven put it, just kind
of stumbling looking for an answer, and that's exactly where
my head went watching this podcast. Exchange was this was
zach allaphan fanacus between two ferns, and that was what
her action summed up.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Steven L.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Miller our guest Red Steez on X be sure to
follow him there and download listen to his Versus Media podcast.
Follow that over on his substack. Steven always great hearing
from you. Glad to hear the French he's doing well,
and glad to hear that you're feeling better.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
I was feeling great until last night's hockey game. Not
doing great now oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
He talked about the Avalanche and the Stars. That was
a gut punch, a loss in overtime. Avalanche now down
two games to one. Game four is on Saturday, doll
a chance to even the series.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
How are you ready?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
My friends are back from Monday night time. I miss
hey Williams Junior. What a great theme song that was.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
And sure it's talking about Monday night football, but the
coverage on a Thursday night of the NFL Draft you
can catch right here. Rocky's doubleheader over on KOA that
shifts our coverage locally of the NFL Draft the Denver
Broncos live from the team headquarters. Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards,
(19:50):
who joined us earlier on the program, Benjamin Albright, Nick
ferguson the whole game.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
Rick Lewis, they're there.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
They're gonna be talking to the picks in real time
as they are made. Susie Wargen has interviewed Peyton Manning,
got his thoughts, Lots to look forward to, and that'll
be immediately following the Dan Kapli Show right here on
six point thirty KL tune in at six pm. You
can do it through the iHeart app as well well.
If all of your rowdy friends are coming over tonight
(20:19):
to watch the draft, it's going to be a good time,
sprawling out, getting some food ready, getting that all set up,
having a good time. And that's what Shannessy Ireland is
all about. The link to her website begins with She's
becoming domestic, faith, family and food, and I don't know
if they're in that order or not.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Food might be number one.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
But she joins us now here on Ryan Schuling Live
and we're happy to have her Shannessy, thank you so
much for your time.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Oh thanks Ran for having me back.
Speaker 8 (20:45):
I'm happy to be here.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
I'm always looking forward to your great ideas. And the
draft is a little bit different creature, different animal.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
You've got a lot.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Of things going on, but kind of spread out. Not
every pick's made it once, so you got time in
between guys are talking, maybe munch on some stuff. So
what is your kind of game plan for a layout
for all the rowdy friends getting together to watch the
NFL Draft tonight.
Speaker 8 (21:08):
Yeah, it's gonna get pretty rowdy, that's what I'm predicting
for sure. So you gotta have the drinks. You gotta
have the drinks to flow in. And you know, Ryan,
you gotta have more food than you anticipate. Because you
make a really good point. It's not like we're sitting
down and we're watching a half of football. So we're
just gonna devour all of the food right away and
then we're gonna take a little break and come back
for more. This is a This is the epic distracted eating.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Type of event.
Speaker 8 (21:33):
Because you go, you have a little bite, you come
sit down in front of the TV. You're chit chatting
your this and that. So you want to make sure
that you have plenty of food and drink because it
can last for a long time and you may have
some of those people that you're thinking, all right, I
gotta work tomorrow, it's time for you to go, and
they're not gonna leave. So having a lot of food
(21:54):
on hand is definitely gonna be key for tonight.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Food and lifestyle influencer Shannis Ireland our guest. If you're
hosting or attending an NFL draft party, this is kind
of your last minute cram session.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
So here we are.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
I had you on at this time, shannesty, very purposefully,
because the draft's going to start our time here in
the Mountain time zone around six o'clock eight o'clock Eastern time,
and so now people are under a crunch if they
got to get stuff ready, and they got to get
a lot of it, like you suggest, and you want
it to be fun, you want it to be interesting,
but you want it to be good and you want
it to be easy.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
What fits all those categories.
Speaker 8 (22:29):
Yeah, I love Rayburn Sandwiches. I know I've chatted about
this brand before on your show. You can pick them up.
They're locally and they're popped into the microwave for ninety seconds.
And what's wonderful about these things is there's the filly
cheese steak, there's a beef cheddar melt. They even have
an egg white chicken breast sandwich. And there are bakery
shop buns time and time again. So you can have
(22:50):
those out on a platter. You can serve them with
even coleslaw, or you can even drizl hot honey on them.
You can do a variety of different things, but they're
simple and they're not going to put a lot of
stress on the host. Another thing I love doing is
any kind of diy bar. I mean, you can have
the cocktail bar. That's a whole other animal, but even
(23:11):
with a diy perhaps sliders or hot dogs and brats,
or even baked potatoes. Honestly, you could have just all
of the accouterments out there with the baked potato and
anything that people can kind of assemble themselves is going
to be really easy for crunch time if you have
guys calling you up and you're like, all right, I'm
(23:32):
coming over. It's just something really quick and easy that
you can throw together last minute.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Shannasy Ireland our guest. Now I'm in the midst of
a diet.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Crunch over these next three weeks, and you mentioned something
that might be along the lines of what might be acceptable,
which was that chicken breast egg white thing.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
And you know, guys might give.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
A side eye to the fella as a spinach cast
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
You know.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
But if there's something that's that's fun, that's easy, but
that's also calorie friend and maybe not your traditional kind
of heavy meat and cheese type thing, what would that
item be.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
Yeah, I love going with pork grinds. It kind of
fits the theme with football. Pork grinds are wonderful because
they're packed with protein. They've got seven grams of collagen,
and they're not going to be super heavy like your
traditional potato or tortilla chips, so they're keto friendly to
very low carb I'm talking like one carb per serving,
and they have a variety of different flavors with seven
(24:27):
recipe small backs pork grinds. They've got sweet barbecue, they've
got hot honey, they got spicy dial You can serve
these with queso and guac or salsa, or you can
even have like a nacho pile up or honestly, Ryan,
you can even crunch them up and put them on
top of baked potatoes or put them on top of
your nachos or whatever it's going to be. So that's
a really good, quick, easy hitter that you can pick
(24:49):
up at the store as well.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
I want to defer to your expertise to Shannesty, because
you're the person, You're the one doing this.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
What are you doing tonight?
Speaker 8 (24:59):
Well, if I'm going to be completely honest with you,
my my my eight year old has a doubleheader baseball game,
and my five year old has a soccer game, and
my twelve year old is out golfing. So once we're
beyond all of that, I will be sitting down. Eventually,
none of the rowdy guys are coming over the house.
(25:20):
I have four boys, so they're rowdy enough for my taste. Awome,
we'll be, we'll be, we'll be watching eventually. But you know,
you got we're in the midst of all the other
stuff too, so we'll we'll sneak it in when we can.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Okay, now here's a tough question. There are two answers
that our audience definitely doesn't want to hear.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
But I'm going to go there. Who is your team
in the NFL?
Speaker 8 (25:41):
Oh my gosh, Well, okay, I've got to be honest.
Hopefully your fans don't care much about I like the
Chicago Bears. They're terrible, They're like horrible, So so I
don't think that I don't think the Broncos fans will
be too upset about that one. But you know, I
live in Ohio, so there's a lot of Browns fans here.
That's another team that's just yeah, ye're struggling. They're the
(26:04):
struggle bus. So hopefully Draft night will be good for
those teams, and hopefully though it'll be good for Denver
too well.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
The two answers I didn't want to hear, which you
didn't provide, were the Raiders and the Chiefs. The Broncos
fans can't stand either one of those two. We kind
of we're kind of like whatever about the Chargers. But
to bring the room down even further, you mentioned the Bears,
you mentioned the Browns.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
I think I got both those teams beat. With the
team I root for, they've been.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Good lately, but over the years, over the decades spot
sixty odd years, the Detroit Lions have been lovable losers, and.
Speaker 8 (26:34):
That's you know what, you're you know what, though you
mentioned they've had a couple of that they're not doing
so bad, so that's okay. I mean, yeah, that's that's
the rival of the Bears. Of course, that in Green Bay,
which is where the draft is going to be held tonight,
of course. But but yeah, it'll be fun. It'll be fun.
I think the Draft night has really become something popular
(26:55):
for people to get together for, so hopefully everyone has
a really great time tonight.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Well, if you want a little Detroit flavor, I'll throw
this in there. From my perspective, that is kind of
going along in the theme what Shannessy's talking about.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
To do you at yourself bar?
Speaker 4 (27:05):
You kind of go up there, have some hot dog buns,
have some cogels hot dogs from Flint, Michigan. Have some
beef heart chili, and some onions chopped and some mustard,
and you can make yourself some coney dogs in true
Detroit style and watch the Lions and see who they
pick at twenty eight. What about that?
Speaker 8 (27:24):
That sounds fantastic? And you know what, anybody that's going
to be hosting would love for you to bring all
that stuff because they don't have to worry about any
of that and don't has to play chef all night either.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
You know, that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
You know, what's better than being a good host, being
a good guest, somebody that brings something awesome like that, right, Shannisty.
Speaker 8 (27:45):
And I love making a point of that. Do not
feel embarrassed or I think it's tacky to ask your
guests to come, especially if it's last minute. Ryan, they
want to bring something, so be specific, you know, I say, oh,
bring whatever you want, so, yeah, grab a bag of
chips and salsa, or you know, if you can have
(28:06):
time to throw a quick appetizer together or whatever, be
pretty specific because also with people's allergies and things like that. Sorry,
one of my kids saying, Mom is time to go.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
It is time to go. What are you doing?
Speaker 8 (28:19):
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Hapy to hear that.
But but yeah, yeah, but to your point, yeah, ask
your guests to bring something and they'll be happy to
do it, for sure.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
I love that idea.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
All right, we'll let her get her one of her
little munchkins off there to whatever sporting event. There were
three different ones there her website, she's becoming domestic dot com.
It's easy to remember and we always love her visits
on this program. Shannasy Ireland, thank you so much. Enjoy
the draft and everything else tonight.
Speaker 8 (28:48):
Thank you for having me well chattig.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
In soon all right, Shannessy, Ireland Food and lifestyle influencer.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
We're getting you ready for the draft folks.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
We had Ryan Edwards on getting you know what you're
getting into, you know what to watch for. You cant
say there, you're gonn impress your friends and tell them
what Ryan Edwards said on this program. And then Shannessy
Ireland and how about my idea for the Coney Island bar?
Speaker 2 (29:07):
That sounds great. I wish I could do it. I'm
on this diet. It's killing me.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
But I'm gonna watch the draft somehow. I'm gonna enjoy it.
I'm gonna try to enjoy it. I don't need to
hold the Lions are gonna pick at twenty eight or
the Broncos at twenty We'll.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Get to some of your thoughts on that.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Remember again, I am hammering this because it is an
update for all of you that are just tuning in.
If you're just getting out of work, well You're gonna
have the NFL Draft live right here on six point
thirty k How with the KOA crowd all coming over
and providing live coverage. Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards, Benjamin Albright,
Nick Ferguson, Rick Lewis, Susie Wargen. Have I forgotten anybody?
(29:44):
Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning I think featured as well. And
what you get that you won't get anywhere else when
they're at Denver Broncos headquarters. Exclusive behind the scenes coverage
with personnel administrators, coaches, and the picks as they come
in interviewed over the phone. It's gonna be great. It's
gonna be very meta, very first person. You won't want
(30:04):
to listen anywhere else, and you can find it right
here tonight six pm, right after the Dan Kapla Show
on six thirty k HOW rounding out this program. After
we come back, you're listening to Ryan Shuling live. We
spoke to Ryan Edwards of KOA earlier in the program
because the coverage of the NFL Draft is shifting over
here to six point thirty k House starting at six
(30:26):
pm in the Mountain time zone. The NFL Draft being tonight,
the Broncos picking at twenty, But who would you pick
with your first round draft choice? When it comes to
financial planning and wealth building, I might advise you put
Trades in Wealth at the top of your draft board.
You will not be disappointed. They will deliver like the
superstars that they are because they are your local, trusted
(30:48):
financial fiduciary.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
And what does that mean?
Speaker 4 (30:52):
While they take you through and show you the ropes there,
advisors are committed to working collaboratively with you and only you,
specifically you, to formulate a unique and personalized retirement portfolio.
When it comes to your wealth management plan, they know
one size does not fit all. You can contact Trajan
(31:12):
Wealth today and discuss strategies to whether the current market
turbulence and come away happy with that number one draft
pick of Trajan Wealth. They have Denver Metro locations in Broomfield,
Loveland and Greenwood Village right here in the Denver Tech Center,
and you can reach them by phone for a free
in person one on one Monoemano consultation seven two oh
(31:34):
four zero five thirty three hundred. That number again, seven
two oh four zero five thirty three hundred or online.
It's just that simple. Trajanwealth dot com. Trajan Wealth a
proud sponsor of Ryan Shuling Live. Okay, the Denver Broncos
(32:16):
theme song, I haven't heard that played a lot now
my origins.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
As you are well aware.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
I am very provincial about my Detroit Lions. But I
gotta say our theme song it's a little bit more
fun and it's a little bit more widely known, I think,
because again I haven't heard that. The Denver Broncos one
and ours dates back to nineteen thirty eight. Forward down
the field, a charging team that will not yield. And
(32:42):
when the Blue and Silver wave stand and hear the
brave raw rah rah, go hard.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
When the game with honor, you will keep.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
Your fame down the field and gain a Lions victory.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Go Lions. There you go.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Any other theme songs out there you want, Ryan, this
is good. I had the perfect bumper sticker for Dan's tesla.
Voting for a Democrat is like rooting for the Raiders. Ouch,
what do we say to the Republican Raiders fans?
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
Ran.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
I had to laugh out loud when Your news Break
referred to Kyle Clark as a journalist. Our news Break
referred to Kyle Clark. Okay, Ran, if you have time,
I do. That's all I've got. Could you explain how
iHeart moves programs at different stations. Well, I can explain
it because they're right here in this very building, on
the same floor. So I'm in the six thirty k
(33:40):
HOW control room because i am literally flying solo today.
It's been crazy. Wayne Louguson just showed up though, and
he'll be filling in for Dan Kaplis, and he is
in the studio where Dan normally does the show, where
I sometimes do my show, hopefully more often than not.
And then right across the hall I can walk there
is Koa and they're all outfitted right now for Rockies broadcast.
(34:01):
We also have Freedom ninety three, seven and seven sixty AM,
which airs like the national shows like Hannity, that's right
next door to us here at six point thirty KHA.
So those are all situated within the same building. But
to the broader point on the question of how the
programs are moved to the different stations, well, there's a
lot of intricacies with the boards and what we put
(34:23):
out over the air to our satellite towers and how
those are transmitted electronically and we can just kind of
switch them over. So the original coverage of the NFL
Draft was supposed to be live. We're really starting now,
I think at three o'clock for the KOA crowd. But
the Rockies are playing a double header today because they
(34:43):
were rained out in Kansas City last night, So I
believe you might be able to go through the I
Heart Media app through KOA and hear the draft coverage
the Rockies. Those games are regulated, to my knowledge, by
Major League Baseball, so you have to have a subscription
through MLBtv or MLB dot Com in order to listen
(35:05):
to live Rockies games over the Internet or over your
phone in an app. But regardless of all that, six
pm tonight here on six point thirty k how you
can hear live coverage of the NFL drafts. Starting with
the number one overall pick, the Tennessee Titans select cam
Ward quarterback University of Miami. That is pretty much a
(35:26):
guarantee at this point, and Travis Hunter wide receiver slash
cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes likely to go number two
overall to the Cleveland Browns. After that might be Abdual
Carter defensive Endpenn State, going to the New York Giants,
and then it's Sdar Sanders watch and where will he land.
My prediction, based on a preponderance of the evidence that
(35:49):
I've been able to assemble, is that he will be
at Pittsburgh Steeler, that these Steelers will select him in
round one.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
But we'll see. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
I don't know any more than anybody else does, maybe
except for the Steelers front office, and they're plotting right
now to take Shadur in the first round.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Keep your day job.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
Oh yeah, that's singing. Sorry, that was for you though,
that was for the people. Brian Junior college classes were
four hundred dollars. University was eight hundred dollars a class,
same required classes in the first two years back in
ninety two. Yeah, that's when I started. It's exactly the
year that I started. Wayne Loguson filling in. He has
made the journey, the sojourn into the k House studios.
(36:28):
He has ripped, roaring and ready to go. He's seated
on the other side of the glass from me, mere
feet away, and your chance to join him on the
Dan Kapla show as he fills in, taking the baton
from Wild County Sheriff Steve Raims and Wayne will be
hosting both today and tomorrow. Looking forward to that, looking
forward to you, Looking forward to who the Broncos pick
in the NFL Draft to night, six pm, right here
on six point thirty k HOW
