All Right, we had basketball last night. We've got more
(00:51):
games this evening coming up. But we had live TV
at its finance last night on T and T when
Shaquillea and Eil at Have Time, I Am just suddenly
walked away from the set. Yeah, when you gotta go,
you gotta go.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Apparently from what uh Kenny and Chuck were saying that,
I guess Shack and you know what wife to ause
Doc Garrett about it when we talk? When are we
talking to Doc? Are we tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Tomorrow? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Because you know Doc's always hey, I'll let you know
when I'm gonna be busy. Yeah, But apparently I guess
Shack has been taking a shot of olive oil to
help with this digestion or something or another. And basically,
you know the old Jeff Bloom quote from Jurassic Park
when you gotta go, you gotta go, also.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
And Godfather too, can I can? I? Is that okay,
we gotta go, you gotta go?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
But yeah, that that's that's what happened.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
And there's ever been a Mafia movie where somebody didn't
go to the bathroom and somebody else ended up getting killed.
That's code word f I'm about.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
To kill you. Yeah yeah. Or I gotta go.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I gotta go take out the trash, right, you know,
I'm in management. Or I need to make a I
need to make a dinner reservation, one of those from
you know that's John Wick.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
The look on Ernie Johnson's face was just like, is
this really happening?
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Well on TV here, it's live, We're not rehearsing right now.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
He's like, yeah, I'm sorry, guys, Well, I'll be back.
But Ernie thought it was scripted. He was like, is
that planned? Is that scripted? And the like are you
messing with me?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
And of course they're sitting there, they're like, you know,
Chuck's laughing. He said, make sure you take a bunch
of matches and you know, make let's make sure we
turn off his bike too.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well, David verity situation happening here. Pacers and Bucks are
underway in Indiana and the Pacers already have a thirty
to sixteen lead in the first three quarter. As Mike's
hoped for a changing of the guard in Milwaukee could
happen again soon.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
I hope it does not.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
But again, it all stems back to and again, I
love that Facebook that you and the phones are listening,
because Doc Rivers popped up yesterday while I was scrolling
through on the social media's and it was an interview
with Tracy McGrady where he was sitting there talking about
the the famous Tim Duncan alleged story or ruling about Yeah,
(03:12):
Doc said, yeah, you can bring your you can bring
your family on the plane, but just not all the time.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
And then Doc didn't hear that part, and then Tim was.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Like, all right, well, I'm gonna go talk to Pop
and David and let them know I'm gonna make my decision.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
You know, don't ever let him leave the bill. And
that was Doc's mistake.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Sign here, now tell Pop later what you did. So again,
because you don't have him when he left.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
The room to think at that point, it could have
been Tracy McGrady, Tim duncan, and Grant Hill because again
for people who don't remember, Grant Hill and Tim Duncan
were like really good friends, best buddies, and that was
the whole notion of That's why Tim was going to
go to Orlando was because he was so good and
(04:00):
tight with with Grant Hill.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
But I'm gonna make this statement.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I think it's true if Tim dunk in science, whether
Orlando the Spurs not only don't have five championships are
likely not even here.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Probably I would, I would more more than likely that
had the one in ninety nine, because then he left
in two thousand, uh and.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I don't think he would have. I don't know that
the team could have survived that in this city. That
would have been and Pop would not be a Hall
of Fame coach. Maybe he still be a Hall of
Fame coach, maybe in Orlando, but I don't think that
happens without him.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I mean, who's to say, though?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
At what point maybe the ping pong balls don't drop
the right way in two thousand or two thousand and
one or maybe even what was it three, and then
Lebron doesn't wind up here, and then you know, my
whole notion would be like, oh, Lebron James, you know,
he's the king.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
But that didn't happen.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
So no, it did, and so we got three games tonight.
The Bucks and the Pacers have been Jettis into NBA TV,
so that that game's going on right now. The other
games that will happen later this evening. Oklahoma City is
gonna take on Memphis again.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
That's in about five minutes.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
And the only question in this is can the Grizzlies
keep the spread under fifty exactly?
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah? Well, what what's the what is the uh? What
is the effort that's going to be put in tonight?
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Like I just wonder if Oklahoma City gets out to
a big lead, does Ja Morant decide to be stupid
and get himself tossed or do something to where he
gets gets himself fined or that's that's what I'm wondering,
if if it gets out of hand quickly, what type
of maturity and patients does Ja Morant have Because he's
(05:51):
already said, hey, we're not going to play that bad again.
I don't even know if it was necessarily that they
played bad. It's just Oklahoma City is really really good.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Well, they're really good. They got really good players.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
And the Memphis team I think is in a lot
of disarray right now.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
They just don't have a leader. Miranda is not one.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
I think he probably could be one if he wanted
to be, but I don't think he wants to be.
Firing Taylor Jenkins two weeks before the playoffs was stupid,
something that you can't understand or imagine. And they're they're
kind of a ship right now without a without a captain,
and uh and they certainly need one. And then the
last game tonight will be the Timberwolves and the Lakers.
(06:30):
If Minnesota wins this, everybody who's dream scenario of the
Lakers getting to the finals gets a lot more diceier.
I don't think the Lakers are ready to win a
championship yet. I don't think they're gonna be to Oklahoma
City if they face them. But right now they got
to get past Minnesota, and Minnesota is playing very much
like they did in last year's playoffs. They're playing confidently there,
(06:52):
They've got they've got a really good a player and Edwards,
although he sometimes runs his mouth too much, uh and uh,
and that that's kind of the situation they're in right now.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I mean with Minnesota is they have so many weapons
that they can beat you with, and especially with them
being a predominantly three point shooting team, kind of like Boston,
but there's shoot such a high volume, but they also
make a high volume. The Lakers just don't have enough firepower,
you know, to match that. Because if Anthony Edwards doesn't
(07:27):
score twenty five or thirty points a game, Jayden mcdanigels
can go off, and nas Reed can go off. Even
though Julius Randall for the most part kind of disappears
in the playoffs, he always has the potential. So that's
my thing. The Lakers, to me, just don't have enough
firepower unless Luca and Lebron do a Steph Curry Jimmy
(07:48):
Butler style of where they both have to score thirty
five or four, they're gonna.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Have to do that anyway.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
That's something that they're gonna have to do anyway because
there's not many other guys on that team that are
the score They can say Austin Reeves is the third
fiddle as long as you want, but this is about
what Luca and Lebron do. And if they score eighty,
they've got a chance. If they score fifty five or sixty.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
They probably don't.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
And that's why Minnesota's got a little bit more depth
and more offensive firepower.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
All Right, more coming up last half hour of the show.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Straight ahead, it's the Andy Everage Show and it's six
twenty eight on the ticket.
