Speaker 1 (00:00):
Natty three. Okay, I got to set the record straight
on something. I was at home for Easter, and you know,
we were hanging out with the family, and my uncle,
who listens to the morning show every once in a
while on the iHeartRadio app happened to be tuning in
one day and we were talking. I can't remember what
we were talking about, Mike, okay, but Yimmy, my boyfriend
had come up several times, okay, and he was like

(00:21):
I was listening for a while. Obviously I've met him
a million times. I know him as Jimmy or jim Yeah.
But just within that span of listening to you guys,
I thought I heard you say Jimmy, but it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
What's his uncle's name, uncle don uncle don Uh. That's hilarious. Yeah,
So what did you tell him?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I had to explain that that I call him Jimmy?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Why? I am m why what is the story behind Jimmy?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Are you able to.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Tell me that?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I mean, like it just I just like said it
one day because like he was doing something thing and
he was like getting into a little bit of mischief
and I was like, yummy. So it just like after
that it just kind of like stuck.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Are you the only one that calls him yimmy? No,
not anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I think at one point I was. But now my
sisters call him yimmy. My nieces and my nephews call
him yimmy. Yeah, like it just it kind of and
like sometimes I'll refer to him by the more formal
version of that, which is and that's what he's in
my phone as Yimmothy.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
That's my favorite one.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
So his name is James, but you know, he's like
he's James at work, Like.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Does he's James.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Does he go by James or Jimmy?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
He goes by James at work?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Uh huh, Jimmy in most other areas, Okay, Like sometimes
I have heard some of his family members call him Jim,
Like I've heard his dad, whose name is also Jim.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
That's such a different variation him Jim on all of it.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
So he was like, it's super con because one minute
you're talking about Yimmy, and then you're talking about Jim
and then James, and then here he's Jimmy and in
your phone he's Yimmothy. I don't how many of these
guys do you have?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
And I was like, it's just the one. It's just
it's just.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
The one depending on the mood.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
And it's just like the nickname came out of nowhere,
and I was like, yeah, that is probably kind of confusing,
and a couple of people have asked me on social
media too, so oh, thought I would just set the
record straight.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
What does he prefer out of all those?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
He likes yummy, He does like yam.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
He likes when I call him yimmy, and he likes
when the kids call him yummy okay, And he likes
like my sisters will occasionally be like yummy.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, should I Should I call him James or jim No,
I can call him yimmy.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
You can call him yimmy, Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I like Yimmo too, if I'm being very honest, Yimothy
if it's very formal.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, do you have a weird nickname for someone? Do
you have a story like this where like it's just
it came in out of nowhere and now it's stuck
and people are like what six one six two four
two ninety three, ninety three, B ninety three. It's the
V ninety three Morning Show. I'm Ali and I am Mike.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I was gonna try to come.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Up with a clever name, Mikey. Maybe stop it. I'm
not gonna call you that, please don't.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Ever my mom does still to this day, only person
in like maybe a couple aunts, and I cannot, Like
it's how do you get your mom to stop calling you?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
And you know what I mean, Yeah, you can't. You don't, don't. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I had to set the record straight this morning because
my uncle over the weekend was like, what do you
call your boyfriend on the air, Like, I've only met
him as Jimmy and I know that's not what you're
saying on the air. So I had to like explain
the whole Yimmy and Yimmothy and like that's just kind
of what he goes by on the air now, h Yeah.
And also you know people like I think we're at

(03:46):
the Rascal Flat show and someone was like, is that
Yimmy And I was like, that's.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Him, that's his him, that is in the flesh.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yeah, so legal name James.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
So he goes by jim and Jimmy, but I call
him me and Yimmathy. So if you've ever wondered about that, No,
that's not his actual name, Yimmy, a couple people on
social media have inquired about that, so I thought I
would just kind of set it straight this morning.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I the good I don't see him ever. I don't
see myself ever calling him James. I hope he's okay
with that. I'm gonna probably call him yimmy.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I don't ever call him James either.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
It's very proper, it's very official, it's very professional.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah, and he has a best friend whose name is
James as well, So like together when you get I'm like, no, nope,
not half Meg, It's Yimmy. But we're talking about like
weird nicknames that just kind of come out of nowhere
and then they just sort of stick. Six one, six,
two four two ninety three, ninety three, Good morning, V
ninety three?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Who's this? And where are you from? Meg Megain? You
got a weird nickname?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
I do my entire family. Paul three buggy?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
What is it? Boogie buggy?

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Like a shop car? A buggy?

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Oh buggy?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Why?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Why is that?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
What's the story?

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Teen years ago? My, he was trying to say Aunt
Meggie and it came out aunt Buggy, and it never
She's eighteen years old and she still called me aunt buggy.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
You haven't nick set yet. You just let it go.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Yeah, I just it was we tried so harsh.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, by never aunt Buggy.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
It is like these like these couldn't say uncle Mike
or uncle mikey uh, and so she would call me
uncle monkey. But as soon as we got him, now,
as soon as we hit like ten years old, I
was like, hey, it's what you could just call me
bike Uncle Bike's five.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
To Mike. Because we did not ye
