Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the B ninety three Morning Show. I'm Allie Mack.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
And I'm Mike.

Speaker 3 (00:03):
So I think parents, and I guess anybody who's ever
gotten sick unexpectedly can relate to this. Where is the
worst place that you've gotten sick?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
And you know what I mean by gotten sick.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
I don't need to get into details, but I think
you it's early, people are eating breakfast. I need to
get into it now. The reason I bring this, yeah,
the reason I break this up is because, but first off,
I need to shout out Buddys Pizza because everybody there
was not only amazing to us when we came, but
they were amazing to us after this happened. So we
went to Buddy's Pizza last Friday. We had a remote

(00:36):
out there. A bunch of people showed up, being ninty
least listener. Family showed up. My family was going to
come because we do pizza Friday. So I was like, guys,
this would be a great time to come. We could
get dinner, blah blah blah. So they my family comes
and on the way there, my wife texts me and says, hey,
I think Milo, who is my five year old son.
I think he got car sick, and I went I
was like, do you think he should do you think
he'll be good if you come? Yeah? Yeah, I think

(00:58):
he was just reading a town or looking at something
in the garden. No big deal, Okay, cool. So they
get to Buddies, they sit down, I get some pizza
in front of them. The kids start digging in, and
I'm introducing my wife to some of the people that
are there. And as I'm doing that, you see my son,
who's more of my quiet type. You see him kind

(01:19):
of tap my wife's shoulder and we're like, what's up, bud,
And we look over and he's got his hand over
his mouth and things are just flying everywhere. Yeah yeah,
and we're like, oh my gosh. So we grab him
and try to rush him to the bathroom. But as
we do that, he just gets sick all over the floor,
right next to this table who is still waiting to

(01:39):
get their food, oh everywhere. And They've been there for
maybe three minutes, maybe three minutes, and I'm like embarrassed
because like, yeah, my family just showed up, and I'm
embarrassed because he just threw up everywhere. But then everybody
there seem to have like understood even if they didn't
have kids. They were like, poor little guy, I'm so

(02:01):
sorry that you felt this, Like I'm so they felt
bad for him.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Good.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yes, good, that's like the best you can help for
It restores your faith in humanity a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
One hundred and fifty percent. Yes.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
And then the table that they did because again the
table that he got sick in front of, they hadn't
even got their food yet, and so I'm like, I'll
pay for your food, I'll pay for your drinks. What
can I get you from our our our B ninety
three table? What can I get you? And this happened
more like than once. So he comes back to the table.
They still stay there because he's like, I want to

(02:31):
eat pizza. I want to eat pizza. I'm like, buddy,
I don't think you should eat pizza. Turns out he
has that twenty four hour bug. It hits my entire
family all weekend. And that's what hit me Monday after
the show, I go home and then blah blah, you know,
I end up getting sick or whatever. But it was
one of those moments where I'm like, if you've ever
gotten that bug, you can't control when it happens. It

(02:52):
just happens right there on the spot. So like, where's
the worst place you got sick? Where's the worst place?
Maybe a child got sick and you're like, there's nothing
I can do. It's just happening. It's happening right here. Morning.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Welcome to the B ninety three Morning Show. What's your
name and where are you from?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Oh it's Nick from Holland.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
All right, we're talking. Where'd you get sick?

Speaker 5 (03:13):
Train trip to Arizona?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
How long's that train?

Speaker 5 (03:17):
What's happened about about thirty three hours?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
What happened?

Speaker 6 (03:21):
I got food poisoning and it was it was not good.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
This is a silly question, and I know it. I've
never taken a super long train trip. There's bathrooms on
a train, right.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Yes, there's bathrooms, but they are very very small.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Oh is it like an airplane?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
Ah?

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yes, very similar.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
If that train trip is thirty six hours, they better
have a bathroom. Oh yeah, it's a good point.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Oh that's a bad one.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Thank you for Collin, thank you, yep, fight poor Milo,
I know.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Once again, thank you to Buddi's Pizza, everybody that works there.
The listeners that were sitting at the table. My son
showed up. We thought it was with carsickness. Turns out
he had that twenty four hour flu bug which affected
our whole family, and he just lost it at the
table seconds after getting there.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
I thought you were definitely going to be out for
a second day. I did not think it was just
gonna be one.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
It was very good, It's fast. He was good the
next day. Everybody was good. But my daughter got it
that night. Yeah, like that night. So that's how quick
it it went, you know. And maybe they were around
the same people and that's why they just were both affected. Yeah,
but it ran through my entire family all weekend.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I am glad that you are feeling better, but I
definitely washed my hands good every hour on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Good morning, Welcome to the B ninety three Morning Show.
What's your name? A where you're from?

Speaker 1 (04:39):

Speaker 2 (04:41):

Speaker 5 (04:44):
I remember this vividly and first grade I used all
over my desk in the classroom.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Man, what happens in that moment? Did the kids say something?
Does everybody freak out?

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Yeah, especially the kids around me? And then I was
quickly rushed home well to the nurse and went home
to get I was one of those kids that, uh
never wanted to go to school, so my mom didn't
believe me when I told her I didn't feel good.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Oh and then they got to get that sawdust.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
The janitors got to get the sawdust and put it
all over the table.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
The whole school smell. Yes, Oh, the rest of the
class as well. Thanks for the call this morning, Bree,
appreciate it. Bye bye.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I mean that's so yeah, it's so hard to watch
in the whole class. Males, and I imagine all the
kids go, well, then.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
You have to worry about all of the other kids.
You know those people that like, if they see it,
they will get sick.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh yeah, I'm not one.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Of those people, but I definitely have a couple of
friends where it's like if they see it, if they
smell it, if they hear the sounds, uh huh. I'm
you know, I'm not going to try to reenacted, but
that can go sideways real quick.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Absolutely, and then you have a full blown code red.

sick the second he walked in the door.

got definitely ill and had to drive all the way
back north of Grand Rapids using the side robe.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Oh did you have to stop or did you just
like go out the window?

Speaker 6 (06:35):
I had to stop every four or five miles.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Oh.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
The longest car ride of my life. And I was
the only one in the car driving.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Oh do you.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Ever sit when you when you're in that moment too,
and you start talking to God and you're like, I'll
stop doing I'll stop eating all the bad foods, and
I promise I'll start walking again.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
You're just like training up.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
I was with the God just to get me home.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Oh your poor car too.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Oh it was a mess.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Two of the crime.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
Took me almost eight hours just to get home.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
