Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dylan Scott. This Town's been too good to us. His
latest number one on Michigan's number one for new country
B ninety three. We are an hour away from the
B ninety three box office opening seven twenty. We have
more Caine Brown floor seats seven twenty and seven twenty
only today. The rest of the day we're gonna have
other tickets to hook you up with, So make sure

(00:23):
you don't miss that on the Dot seven to twenty
on the Dot six twenty. Right now, it's the B
ninety three Morning Show. I'm Ally Mack and I'm Mike.
Here are three things you should know today. A fourteen
year old it taken into custody yesterday for posting something
threatening online. The tip came in through Michigan's school safety
tip line okay to say about a threat on Snapchat.

(00:45):
It was directed at Pinewood Middle School. They did search
the house, no weapons were found, but the teen could
face a felony for the threat. Next month, the Education
Department is going to start collecting on student loans in default,
and they plan to garnish wages for millions of borrowers.
So that period of leniency that started during COVID no

(01:05):
loans were referred to collection, even the ones in default
that is out of here, gone a thing of yesteryear.
Starting mayfifth, the department is going to start collection, and
then after a thirty day notice, that is when they're
going to start garnishing wages. So if you're a little
bit behind with the student loans, it's not going to
your wages aren't going to start being garnished on May fifth, exactly,

(01:27):
but over the next month or so here you'll probably
get a notice and then we're going to start coming
after that money.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, it's a good time to win one thousand dollars
with B ninety three.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Hey, big dollar donkey.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, especially if you have some college student loans.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
First key word of the day at nine point forty
this morning, good shout Mike Health and Human Services Secretary
Robert F. Kennedy Junior announcing plans to remove artificial dives
from the US food supply. He's directed the FDA to
eliminate loopholes around this. Some companies have already started adjusting
their products, some have not. Of the thirty six dies
approved by the FDA, nine are made from petroleum, the

(02:05):
rest from natural sources.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Can I can Why aren't we more worried about that
that like we had to have a whole thing where
we now need to remove all these things out of
our products. Like I saw it on TikTok and I
kind of joked, like laughed about it, and then the
more I really thought about it. But there's a lot
of stuff in there. We don't know, like what it does.
I don't know what red dye does. I know what
it sounds like it is, but it turns out it's

(02:29):
really bad, especially for kids, really bad for kids. I know,
But I don't like.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
We just stuff that it in is so good.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I didn't say it was gonna stop and.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Real candy, all the good things, drinks, all the good things.
That's three things you should know. Here's one you probably shouldn't.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I don't know, allie, if you're in the market for this,
but if you are, you can rent an old guy
in Japan. What In Tokyo a man started a business
called old Guy Rental. It's a service he's thirteen years
ago to help old guys feel the more valued. You
could rend old men for seven dollars an hour, which

(03:08):
is a low price. I mean, value yourself a little
bit more old men. Many people use these old these
older gentlemen to talk to, get advice from, or just
spend time with. So it's like a win win for everybody.
You get advice from like an old guy, and the
old guy gets to gets to have some company. It's
only seven dollars an hour.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Okay, I feel a lot better knowing that he started
this for himself. Yeah, oh yea, yeah, it wasn't like
somebody else's idea, because then you get get kind of weird,
you know.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Oh yeah, that's that's a whole nother thing. I think
that's a whole different thing. But uh, I think he
needs to value himself a little bit more. If I
could give him any advice, which he didn't ask for it,
seven dollars an hour is pretty low.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
It's kind of sad because it's like, I'm not asking
for a lot. Just somebody hang out with me. I'll
I want you to pay me.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, but no, not like enough to break the bank
or anything. Just like a seven bucks.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
That's very cute. That's very cute.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
You could take an old man too, Maybe the Pistons game,
if you want to go, maybe the playoff game. Speaking up, Pistons,
won their first playoff game since two thousand and eight
yesterday one hundred to ninety four against the Knicks. That
it's one on one on the series they do play
Thursday at seven pm. Tigers beat the Padres six to four.

(04:31):
They play again today at six fifteen against the Padres,
which you can hear on our sister station, Wood Radio.
And we're counding down to the NFL Draft here, which
begins on Thursday in Green Bay at eight pm Eastern
Standard time, or if you're in Green Bay, it starts
at seven. That's when the first pick happens. Usually all
the festivities and stuff starts earlier in the day, but
the important things for people who are not there start

(04:53):
at eight o'clock.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Go Pistons. Yeah, and the draft, I guess.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Too, Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. The drafts exciting for like
a minute and then then it's done. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
It was way cooler last year when I was in Detroit.
I should just have it in Detroit all the time.
Or maybe we could get a Super Bowl here again.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I love that too.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
At some point that would be cool.
