Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the w ZLX Planet Business Studios. It spans the
gold like a super highway. Interesting is called a download
with Danielle.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I never know what you're gonna hear, America will hear
my two cents on Boston's Classic rock one point seven
w ZLX.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
So my question is, are we going to have some
kind of live coverage of Ponteffect's watch when they select.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
A new pope the conclave if you will, Yes, So.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
We're gonna wait for the white smoke or we're gonna
have live continuing coverage. So if you've missed the news
this morning, of course, Pope Francis passed away early this
morning in Italy and Vatican City at the age of
eighty eight. He was in the hospital a couple of
months ago with pneumonia, he said, some ongoing respiratory issues,
so his health had definitely not been great as of late.
He did give Easter Mass yesterday with tons and tons
(00:52):
of people in attendance as always. His death was announced
by Cardinal Kevin Ferrell, who's the camera lingo for the Vatican.
He the highlight of the Pope's lifelong dedication to serving
the Lord in the Church as unwavering commitment to the
values of the Gospel and his compassion for the poor
and the marginalized. As we've been calling him, the cool Pope.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
The cool Pope, the cool Pope.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
There's probably going to be a countdown clock to the
next Pope, I would imagine, ye, which it usually takes
a while too.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Doesn't it.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Yeah, they've got to go through you know, I.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Mean, the cadals got to get together.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
You think that they have started vetting people, thinking that, like,
we're gonna have to make a decision.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
So, yeah, we're gonna have to come up with a
list of candidates.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
How do they do it? They have the cardinals all
get together and they vote, and they have to decide that.
Speaker 6 (01:32):
I was an alta boy and a lifelong Catholic. You
think I would know this, my God.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
But like were saying, maybe try a young pope this
time around, or like Jude Law, he played a pope,
right right, Let's get Jude Law to be the pope,
a celebrity pope.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I think that would be cool, it'd be huge. Yeah,
why not.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
We're getting very quickly towards blasphemy.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Thank you for putting the brakes home.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
You got it, buddy. If anything. I'm the voice of reason.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It is marathon Monday here in Boston. Lot of very
busy stuff going on from Hopkinson all the way to Boston. Again,
there is no G in the word Hopkinson. Just remind
all my broadcast professional partners, a lot of the runners
and wheelchair participants in cyclists, they're all getting started right
within the nine o'clock hour. We've got the men's and
women's wheelchair divisions kickoff right around nine oh six and
(02:20):
nine a excuse me, nine six and nine oh nine am.
And then after that we stagger everybody else. The first
wave of gen Pop goes around ten o'clock, and then
the subsequent waves every twenty five minutes thereafter.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
Very beautiful day to be in the city.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Go out four. Yeah, it's awesome. It's a great fund
it kitch a combo.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Take some selfies with the people you love.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Over the weekend, the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of
the Battles of Lexington and Conquered was celebrated the Open
Engagements of Course of the American Revolutionary.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
War on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The day started with a reenactment of the Battle of
Lexington at five fifteen am.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, sounds good. My morning was my neighborhood.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
I want to know how how many how many people
got notifications on their ring app and the various town
Facebook pages from people who didn't connect, like that's that.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
It was a cannon.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, and those muskets that they used, that's black powder.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
When my son was in the Little League parade in town,
someone thought it would be a good idea to get
the guys who fire off the guns when the Patriots
score a touchdowny to march right behind him.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Not great. They fired those things off. You could get
car alarms went off. Oh yeah, and it was just all.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
These kids screaming and crying and what did these guys do?
Speaker 1 (03:29):
They reloaded and they did it, double down, double down.
I'm gonna guess that was the last year they did that.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
That was the last year, probably probably over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
At the Harvard Square MBTA station, there was a shooting yesterday.
Man fired several shots at an individual on the platform
and then fled.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Thankfully, nobody was injured.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Harvard did briefly issue a shelter in place and the
station was closed for nearly three hours while police investigated.
Police have released images of a person of interest, and
they're asking if anyone has information or can identify that
man to police, contact trends the police, and finally this morning,
four year old Azrael Lopez went missing over the weekend
in Lowell after falling into the Merrimack River Saturday evening.
(04:08):
Emergency crews and community members are actively searching the area.
They did take a pause last night, of course, because
of darkness, but that search will remain resumed this morning.
His dad says he remains hopeful as authorities continue those
efforts downstream. I believe they're going to be consolidating their
search in the Lawrence area this morning.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
I'm Danielle. That's your download now.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Sports on one hundred point seven seconds with Tyler.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yes here we are on Marathon Monday.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
Everybody's getting ready to launch soon, including elite contender Medford's
own Emma Bates.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Can you imagine if she's coming down Boylston Street in
first place, the crowd will go so crazy?
Speaker 6 (04:48):
Yes, and they should, Yes, they absolutely should. So good luck, Emma.
Let's see what she's got this year. The Celtics win
Game one yesterday, first round of the NBA Playoffs, that
I took down the Orlando Magic one O three eighty six.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
That's makes it seem a lot closer than it actually
really was.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
Derek White led the way with seven to three pointers,
but of course the biggest moment of the game, the
scary moment, was Jason Tatum taking a super hard fall
and then launched a three pointer, so clearly he's okay.
The Socks are at the end of a four game
series with the White Sox eleven to ten first pitch
this morning. They won Friday night ten to three Trevors
Story hits, two dingers. They won Saturday tenth inning walkoff
(05:24):
single from Tristan Cass's, and they lost yesterday eight to four.
But there was a very cool moment in yesterday's game
when reliever Liam Hendrix pitched his first game in almost
two years. Dude battled Non Hodgkins LYMBP FOMA and Tommy
John Surgery was out six hundred and eighty days total,
took the mound.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Gave up a dinger. But whatever, he's out there, attack,
battle back like that. That is amazing.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Fact that he's out there at all is absolutely unbelievable.
So congratulations to him. Goat Socks today. Go runners in
the marathon Marathon. I'm Tyler.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
That's sports and this is the Chuck No Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
I love that eleven ten am start on Patriots Day,
especially on a day like this.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
And they come out and they're wearing the the marathon collars,
the chicken suits they wear all weekend.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Yes, yes, they do well in those. I don't like
those unis, but they win in those usually. But they
were playing Chicago.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Doesn't matter at ws w H absolutely all.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Right, we got your tickets coming up a CDC at
Gillette May fourth, your chance get in there on us.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Coming up right after food Fighters.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
From CLX Boleston's Classic rock one undred point seve at
w DCX Chuck Nolan Morning Show with Daniel Murr and
Tyler Foo Fighters, we had Dave Grohl.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Was he popping up at Coachella?
Speaker 6 (06:39):
He showed up at Coachella on Saturday and played two
songs with the La Philharmonic. Oh wow, yeah it is
really I have audio, but it's really crappy. It's like
from somebody's cell phone. Yeah, but he did play it.
That was amazing. And Cynthia Arriva, who just won an
Academy Award I believe for Wicked, did a cover of
Prince's Purple Rain, which that's not an easy song to do.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Pretty good stuff. It's over now, right, This was the
second weekend, was it? Yeah? Okay, so that's it. The
clean The.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Cleanup is underway on the Boston There We Go, which
is on sale now like ten button other prices go ahead.
We're also onto ac DC at Gillette May fourth sold
out show. It's been sold out for a while, but
we got your ticket to rock here at the Lex.
So we gave you all kinds of hints about what
we're gonna do today, and some people think they've already
figured it out, but let's see what you can do
(07:27):
with this. Tell us the title of these three ac
DC songs.
Speaker 7 (07:34):
Everybody says, six one hundred point seven.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Is that hard I put it together. I'm a little confused.
You think it just shit's so fast. That's what's great
about it. It's so fast.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
Because you know them all. They all they're all recognizable.
You're like, what song was that? And then it goes
on to the next one. You're like, oh wait, what
song is that? And then it goes on to the
next one. Right, So so you gotta have your head
on a swivel on. All right, Should I play it again?
Or should we just go with that?
Speaker 1 (08:01):
I give it one more time? All right, one more time?
Six one seven pointy seven for ac DC tickets. Everybody
says that, right? Can we play song too? All right? Yes,
all right, sure, I think we can. All right, let's
(08:22):
let's go to the phone. So here, zlex, who's this? Hello?
Speaker 8 (08:28):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Good morning? It's the end?
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Hi? And what were you doing taking a bite out
of an English muffin? What's going on there?
Speaker 5 (08:36):
I'm trying to brace myself here.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I think that's got the two, But the third I
should know this.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
I know the song anyways, Uh nervous?
Speaker 1 (08:46):
I take a deep breath in with the good, out
with the bad. You ready go for it?
Speaker 7 (08:51):
You shook me all night long?
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Big Balls?
Speaker 7 (08:54):
And the third I'm stuck on.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
I know the song, but I don't know the name.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Can you play it again?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
No? That's it's a holiday and everything. You're the host.
You do what you want, so you know the song.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
You actually know the song, but you don't know the
title of you you're familiar.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
With the song, right right, right?
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Right?
Speaker 5 (09:16):
She had a wall after Big Balls?
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, yeah, all right, we got to move.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I can't do that because I played it so many
times and we said you gotta get all through.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
All right, thank you, be prepared.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
You have a good day, guys, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
All right, Let's try again.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Z X.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Do you know the songs?
Speaker 2 (09:36):
All right?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Help hell bells, big balls? And who made? Who did?
Speaker 6 (09:46):
He?
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Should we get him? On a technicality? He's right, he
kind of is. What what do you think? He said,
big bells? What did you say?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I said, big ball, said big ball?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Can you say it one more time? Say it again?
Shoes bells, big ball. I just wanted to just say
big balls. And so what's your name?
Speaker 7 (10:11):
Sean?
Speaker 1 (10:12):
We from Sean.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Yeah, congratulations number one in Worcester.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Go to the A C.

few I like, But for the most part, people are good.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
The people's champion. Tyler is the village idiot.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
I can't even argue with it.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
All right, six point seven your chance to shine here
like Earl out and Framiam Earl.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (12:14):
How's it going, Chuck?
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Look at you man, You're right on the course. You're
on the marathon course. You're having a party or something.
You're going out there today?
Speaker 8 (12:22):
Uh yeah, I'll probably be hanging out over at shay
hood AND's Son's Plumbing or maybe the fourth Sports Pub
six six sixth Waveley Street, like the address and everything
just got them free beer is exactly well done.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Save us a seat. So are you checking in with us?
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Okay? So there's a friend of mine.
Speaker 8 (12:42):
Her name is Tara Forines, and she's from Framium. She's
running her first Boston Marathon.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Today, first marathon. She did not sleep last night.
Speaker 8 (12:51):
No probably, family promised Metro West. And the story is
the good hot felt story is my late mother who
passed away fifth last year, gave her a couple of bracelets,
friendship bracelets, and she patted her on the hand and
said this will bring you good luck someday. So Tara
is wearing one of her friendship bracelets. My late mother
(13:13):
is bracelet today and she texted me two days ago
and told me that she was wearing it, and she
sent me a picture of it, and my mother said
it was going to bring her good luck though. She
said hopefully today she'll finish her marathon and everything will
be good. And I just thought that was a good,
hotfelt story.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
It's nice. I like that.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
You know, you can track her along the course too,
because if she does, she have a BIB number.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Is she official?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah? Oh yeah, she's official.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
So they put a chip in your shoe and that
way you can go on the BAA app and you
can follow exactly where your family member or friend is
along the course.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
It's fascinating. You'll see what kind of times they're putting
in their pace and all that. So you'd be able
to track her today.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
From the bar that you mentioned by address where you'll
be sucking down by lights.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I haven't had a drink in five and a half year,
so I don't know what you talk.
Speaker 8 (14:08):
You remember some of the beers we had together down
at knob Scott's Cafe.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
And oh we know each other.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Duke commanders used to show up at Chuck's bar and grill,
and he would do one arm pushups and then.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
You lass of beer with my mouth, with my mouth
and drink it without spilling it. Sometimes I could put
one hundred and ten pound girl on my back while
I'm doing the push up.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
So let me ask you.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Let me let me ask you, what is the more
heartfelt story that or the bracelet? I do remember that
the crab used to go nuts when you would do
that stuff.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
The bracelet.
Speaker 8 (14:48):
The bracelet is the most hotfelt story right now because
for her to call me up after.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
You know, when my mother gave it to her a
couple of years ago and said, I'm gonna wear it
today for good luck.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Would you do me a favorite when she crosses the
finish line? Would you put her on your back, do
a one arm push up and pick up a pint
glass of beer and chug it down?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Would be out to be a pint glass of water
or something else?
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, that's rightinated But the one arm push up is amazing.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
It wasn't good. There was some good times doing that,
especially when I broke the my eye glass in my mouth.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
Oh, I don't want to do that.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Lot of stitches always taking care of the crowd though. Hey,
thanks for checking in today, and good luck to your friend.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, she's a great person. She's a great person. Tyra
forms Way to Go.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
That's awesome. Thank you, Earl.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
It's Boston's Classic Rock one hundred points op at Double ZX.
You can get in there too, six one seven nine
three one one hundred point seven. Check in the text
line text Double Zlex and your message to seven O
four to seven.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Oh, here's Drew Vona for ZLX. Boston's Classic Rock one
hundred points out at Double z Lex.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
Chuck Nol the Morning Show at Daniel Murr and Tyler
Day after Easter, everybody have a good easter.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
Easter was very nice. Have a nice lunch with my mom.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Good time.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Yeah, you had a really nice lunch with your mom
with the Cain girl baby. Yeah that is hardcore.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Fourteen ounce stra age New York strip. What's up?
Speaker 1 (16:12):
We got the family together. We did the Roach Brother's
ham Spiral.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Overcooked, dried up, but yeah, it was nice, you know, tradition.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
That was good. Tyler had the traditional frozen cape cod
pizza with the dog.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
And the Celtics and the socks and golf no, the
cigar was Saturday. It was too windy yesterday for the cigar.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Point.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
With my new hours, I find out getting up earlier
on the weekends. So yesterday morning, I'm up really early.
I'm out back. I hear kids screaming. It's my neighbors.
They're doing an Easter egg hunt, like six thirty in
the morning. It's really cute, it's sweet.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
So this is the time of the year where parents
take their kids to get their photo taken with the
Easter bunny, and you just have the thoughts, so this
is going to be so beautiful. We're going to send
it to the grandparents. It's going to be a wonderful thing,
is the Easter bunny. Pelosi sent me a photo of
his niece, my god getting her picture taken with the
Easter bunny, and it went about as much as well
(17:09):
as you would expect.
Speaker 9 (17:10):
It's hysterical. There was a you know, like one of
those Easter things at the park. My brother, my sister
in law. They take her down there and they said,
come see the Easter Bunny.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
And then he sends me this picture. It is just
in a full on horror.
Speaker 9 (17:21):
She's pushing away and what's funny is my My brother's
like a horror franatic, so he has all kinds of
like horror movie props in his office and stuff like
Jason Voorhe's head. She loves it. She plays with it
all the time, Chucky doll. But the Easter Bunny, she's
ready to like run away.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Well, you got six right.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
She is actually six foot bunny wearing a yellow bow
tie and a blue vest with the crazy eyes.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
The giant crazy eyes.
Speaker 9 (17:46):
Well, it's because they have to look out through the
mouth of the bunny head, so his head's tilted kind
of back in a crazy way.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
In the bunny head. It's theater, the Easter Bunny April
Vacation Week.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
You know, wearing a hat lightly bringing candy. All that
fun she saw right through that costume. I think any
other kid could too.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
I have never seen a kid with an Easter Bunny
smiling ever.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
It's just it's horrific. You can barely get it out
of Santa Claus.
Speaker 9 (18:08):
But my theory is that Santa has a face, a
human face, so you have half a chance Easter Bunny
giant head get out of here.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
But he smells. He smells like gin and cheese. But
it's like back when we used to do remotes from
Spooky World. Oh, and I'd be camped outside the haunted
house and people were bringing their little kids in there,
and right away you could hear the screams and the
parents laughing.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
My favorite thing about when they take these photos is
the unsuspecting parent who was not planning to be photographed,
and they look like death, and they're not dressed up,
and the hair's a mess, there's no makeup. Everybody's a
hot mess, and they have to get in the photo
and sit because the kid won't sit for the photo
unless the parent holds them.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
They got to make a saved, They got to make
the save. Kids are just horrified by these these costumed creatures.
Like when our daughter was in middle school, the mascot
for the school was the Eagle, so it'd be a
teacher dressed in a full eagle costume. She could not
be in the same room when the eagle came in,
so my wife went so far as to go to
the school and get the costume and dress up in
(19:11):
it and come in and take the head off, which
made it even worse.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
She thought that was gonna help, I know, made it
even worse. Oh my god, it was you the whole time.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
This is single handedly funding the entire therapy industry, absolutely
without a doubt.
Speaker 6 (19:30):
Yeah, who feels worse in this picture of the kid
or the guy who's gonna sit in that stupid costume?
Speaker 9 (19:36):
No, I think he does because he also knows that
he's gonna make every kid cry that day.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Yep, I would like that. That would be You're not
the easter buddy exactly. All right?
Speaker 4 (19:44):
We got cash coming up here at nine ten? Or
is it a holiday? No, we have it.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
We have it. I keep forgetting you see, it's not
