That is an understatement I think onthe college games, I believe you
hit seventy percent of picks on collegegames with us on air last year,
which is astronomical. So kudos touser, thank you, and I wish

I could do that every twenty years. It was very lucky. Seventy percent
against the spread. We did.That was the entire college season. In
the pro playoffs. We didn't dopros during the regular season. For the
Beau Ravage bet MGM, we didjust the play else and I was a
lucky sixty percent, which is youknow, Randy, I would take fifty

five, fifty six percent every yearthe rest of my life and retire.
I mean, do you have toget what percents you have to get to
break even with? You know,if you're actually wagering, that's a good
question. If you lay eleven dollarsto win ten, which you do lay,
it's called the juice, the vigorish, you have a better has to
win fifty two point four percent ofthe time. So it's a fifty fifty

proposition and you got to win fiftytwo point four percent of the time.
But then i'd sound like much.But if you and I were flipping a
coin heads or tails betting a Idon't know, ten dollars a coin,
I mean ten dollars a flip,and I told you you had to lay
eleven dollars to win ten. ButI'm only on lay ten dollars to win
ten on a fifty fifty proposition,and you've got to win fifty two point

four percent of the time. Youtell me, well, you couldn't say
it on the air. If youtell me to take a height, very
tough, and you know people don'tthink it's tough. It's it's very tough
for me and into you for mewith the spread, but of being a
bookmaker, is they only have tobe right forty seven percent forty seven point

talk about how strong seventy percent is. Say, out of a hundred games
you went, you would win seventyand lose thirty. And you say,

bet a thousand a game, it'sforty thousand, twenty thousand. If you

thousand, it would be It's anincredible percentage. And I've done it three
times in my forty something years ofhandicapping. All in the college. Well
I take that back too, inthe college, one in the pros,
but never never together. It's justtoo hard to do well in fact,
in the pros. Last year onyour show, well, I wasn't on

your show, but I was,and I was very happy with this.
I was fifty four percent in theNFL the entire year. And again that's
winning sixty percent in the playoffs,so I was probably under I was under
water, so to speak, underthe break even point heading into the layoffs.
But those are tough numbers to be. And again, you go into
sports book like the votevrs, theyget prettier and prettier every year. They're

not booking them for their health.No, well, they're booking them because
people play. Let me interrupt you. And meanwhile, this stupid legislature of
ours won't let us vote. We'resmart enough to you to elect them,
but we're not smart enough to voteon a lottery, casinos or sports betting
so you were over there, Randy, you and Craig every week. I
mean, you've got a ton oflicense plates Bowen County, Mobile, Alabama,

and they're spending their money at theBeaux Rivage and the casinos, and
Alabama's losing, without exaggerating, hundredsof millions of dollars in taxes while we
support the surrounding states lottery and inthis case Mississippi's casinos. Is that a
fair assessment? Yes? Absolutely,Oh yeah. We were running into people
from Mobile every week when we wentover there. Yep, for sure.

Let's talk some college football for twentytwenty three. Let's talk about some
in state teams first of all,and get your take on Alabama. Just
how you see Alabama? They'd bean overvalued undervalued Just where do you see

Alabama twenty twenty three football? Iwould say when you say, I would
say overvalued. But I'm basing thaton hell. They lose what two games,
and everybody wants to shoot save intwo games, and generally they lose
one game. They're loaded. Everyposition, it really loaded, probably better
than last year, except for themost important quarterback. I don't know the

first thing about Tyler Buckner because henot named him quarterback yet. Are they're
gonna play a game? No,I think it's I think it's likely going
to be Jaylen Millroad, the backup from last year. Well, gentle,
The reason why I ask you thatbecause like Hugh Freeze named Peyton Thorne,
and he didn't in Michigan State,and he didn't bring him in for
the heck of it, because ifyou have a good quarterback situation, you

don't bring someone in. So I'massuming that the offensive coordinator if he brought
Tyler Buckler in that Buckler is goingto start, and I'll be somewhat surprised
if he doesn't, because I wouldhave the question. The question would beg
to be answered. Why the heckyou bring him in to back up Jaylen
Millrose. I don't think so.I think millrodi he's a great athlete.

I think he'll run the Wildcat.He'll certainly play on both. With Tyler
Buckler, I think he'll start,and he may not. And the reason
why you play them both and yougot to get him Ky Simpson, because
if you don't, they're going totransfer years. I'm talking to you.
So maybe that's why. I don'tknow why brought him in without starting in
but that'd be beaten dead horse backto them. Every position but quarterback.
I don't know the first thing.I don't think mill Rose the quarterback for

the whole year to be undefeated.Same with Buckner. I'd say Alabama's gonna
and they're one of the best fourteams in the country. I still see
him losing two or three games ifBuckner or mill Road turn out to be
really good, or they could runthe offense which is totally loaded running backs,
tight end, receivers, great offensiveline. If one of'em turns

out to be really good, thenI would say one loss, but for
sure a loss when you got toplay at home Texas, LSU, Tennessee.
Old Miss lost to all four of'em last year. By the way,
Randy, would you not agree withthat they're lucky to be Old Miss

took twice and then throw in theend zone. I'd have been anyway in
Texas, of course, kidness isa field goal just before the half,
and they would look at that's thesecond string quarterback. They knocked out the
first string quarterback. So there wasfour losses possibly with what arguably everyone says
was Alt was Saving's best team.It was a pretty damn good team and

at the right position, certainly thebest quarterback they've had, and I don't
know win and Will Anderson's one ofthe best I've seen. So you factor
that and talk about that could havehad four losses. I've had lost the
number five the last play of thegame Texas A and M. We talked
about that on your show last yearand this year to play at A and

M to play at Auburn, andyou know, crazy things happened in this
series at Auburn and four over times. I think that was Alabama's last win
and they were whopping favorite. Soyou fact to those two games on the
road the four at home, Idon't, I must have. I'm leaving
out Arkansas because they're not in Alabama'sleague, so I could easily see two

to three losses. That makes senseto you, Yeah, what do you
think about Alabama versus LSU in theSEC West? Are you on the the
LSU bandwagon like a lot of peopleare. No. I think LSU will
lose, nothing wrong with it.They caught lightning in a bottle. Great
coach, but now everybody's aware ofwhat you do, and they're gonna have
a tough time against Old Miss.I think Alabama will. I don't know

that. The spread probably around seven, but I think Alabama will beat LSU.
Bottom line is LSU's gonna lose threegames at least. I think they
will. Tennessee. Well, Tennessee'sin the other division. I'm trying to
think it would ask Old Miss wouldknow LSU would probably be maybe A and
M, but I see A andM losing at least three, So everybody's
gonna lose at least three games,and Alabama could get lucky and maybe just

lose two. But playing LSU athome and playing Old Miss at home big
advantage. And I don't see anybodytying Alabama in the lost column or the
wind color, so I would sayAlabama. But this is again, this
is a team that's totally dependent onthe quarterback. And Buckler never showed me
anything at Notre Day team. He'sgonna be a game manager. And mill

Road could throw the ball a hundredyards, but sometimes it's like the old
expression in a rowboat. He couldn'thit the water, but he can certainly
run. So I look, Idon't disagree, but I'd be surprised again
not to be redundant. Mill Rowwould be. They'll play him so he
won't transfer it. But I thinkhe's more of a wildcat quarterback inside the

ten, maybe inside the fifteam.And Buckner's the game manager. But he's
not a bad quarterback. But hewasn't gonna start at Notre Dame this year.
What does that tell you? Mostpeople have Auburn pegged as about a
six or seven win team. Howdo you see him? Seven would be
a little strong. But if youknow, I hate I hate IF,

and I don't if when it comesto picking a game, you know,
like against the spread. But inpreseason, I've said this for three years
in a row or two years ina row. For sure, Auburn is
I say it again this year.Defense is really good except for the most
important position, quarterback. I don'tknow what the hell Peyton Thorn's going to
do if he turns out to bedecent. They got a great running back,

decent offensive line. I'd say seven, maybe as many as eight wins
he turns out to be at okay, quarterback you're looking at six. Seven
might be a stretch, And Ireally don't know, Craig. I think
again, I would argue with anyoneabout the strength of Auburn's team this year.
But if you look at the lasttwo years back to back, which

is unheard of, seven lost seasons, and I read somewhere the last time
Auburn had back to back losing seasonsseasons was twenty five years ago. So
and again it's like a broken record. I've said it last year when I
spoke in Mobile and possibly on yourshow in the year before that. They
don't have a quarterback, and it'sjust horrible when you don't have a Look,

who's got quarterbacks. Well, Tennessee'sin the other division. A and
M's got a decent quarterback. Lash'sgot a good quarterback. Ole Miss has
a good quarterback. But Alabama andAuburn they may, but as far as
i'm what I've seen so far,they don't. They don't have a great
quarterback. I should say I disagree. No, I think you're right.

I think I agree. Hey,Danny, every work across the league.
It's it's really in the East.The quarterbacks are if you could grab South
Carolina's quarterback or Tennessee's Tennessee mix andas he's not bad, but if you
could put them in Alabama, ohmy goodness, or Auburn, especially Alabama
anyway, excuse me, Randy,Yeah, that's okay. Every year I
look forward to your worst teams incollege football among the major college teams.

I'm just laughing because I can't someof the things I said in the
article, I can't sach. Butif I was gonna say. Well,
what I'll do is you get acopy. If anybody in your audience,
they can call you and you cansend it to him. But now the
teams are I don't first of all, and I don't know if this would

be a surprise. I don't thinkit'd be to you and Craig. But
Dion Sanders, who have a lotof respect for as a player and as
a coach. He's not bad,but he's out of his water this Colorado
job. I mean by that,I mean he may win in the long
run, but when you get ridof everybody in a humble opinion and you
bring in all these all stars,you gotta mesh him. I mean,
you think Stabler Sabor. I didn'tmean to say stable. Even Kenny had

to sit on the bench. Ifyou think that someone is going to step
in right away, and just lookat Alabama. They bring great quarterbacks along
real slowly. And now he's bringingall these guys in. There's no way
in hell they're gonna mesh together.At least I don't think so. Anyway,
I would say if Colorado wins threegames this year, four, I'd
make him coach of the Year.But I don't think they'll win three games,

and they they do play I don'thave a schedule in front of me.
They play Stamford, who's absolutely horrible. But I made Colorado the worst
team in the country. And I'malready hearing from that. And I called
Dion sub prime just for this year, you know. And if you look
at you know, the Big Tentalks about, oh, we're so good.

Hell, I've got Northwestern, They'reterrible. I've got them in there,
Indiana terrible, could do terrible.Trying to think the only SEC team
I have, it would be,Oh, I forgot Rutgers. I mean
Rutgers. Do you know when Rutgersjoined the Big Ten? I don't know,
like five seven years. I'll tellyou about you know, nine years

ago, twenty fourteen. What haveyou heard from in the nine year span?
Right, And Vanderbilt is better thanRutgers. But anyway, I'm I'm
off the subject. I would thoseare my horrible teams. Only SEC team
in there, no surprise Vanderbilt,and he did a hell of a job
last year. I thought he'd winmaybe four games. I think they won

five, which is incredible on anupset. Just shows you how brutal this
conference is they upset Florida. Ipicked them against Florida. I never dreamed
they'd win the game. And thenext week they beat Kentucky. That's if
you're not ready to play. Idon't care who you are, you're gonna
get beat. And the best exampleI can give you a hundred, I'm
but the best one from last yearwas how good was Georgia? And you

say, oh, man, Georgia, Gee whiz. They were thirty one
point favorites at Missouri losing with whathalf midway through the fourth quarter by ten
points, and then the brilliant coachdecided I had picked Louis want to say
that because I had picked them plusthirty one never dreamed to be that close.
Anyway, the Missouri coach decided,man, we're gonna upset Georgia,

so we're just gonna run the clock, right, We're not gonna do what
we did to get there for fortysomething. Anyway, Georgia eked out at
twenty six twenty two win. Butmy point is, how could Missouri be
on the same field with Georgia?Because this conference, if you don't show
up, and you can only getup four times a year period where you

play one hundred percent and the othereight times, the other eight sec games
you just have the other games.You just have to win on your talent
and it's very tough. And again, look at Alabama last year. They
could have easily and I'm not justsaying it, they could have easily and
probably should have lost. Oh,let me think at least five games.
A and M, Texas, LSUdid lose to LSU, Tennessee they lost

it, and Old Miss and Imay be leaving somebody out in to me,
I don't know. They had fourgames went down to basically the last
play plus yeah, plus Oldman,which was A and M. Y Old
Miss was the last play. Tennesseewas the last play, right, LSU
was the last play. What doyou consider Texas? Yeah, Texas was

absolutely like Alabama kick the field goallast play of the game to win.
Yeah. Right, So there's fiveteams, that's five games. And you
know, again A and M.I don't know why they didn't throw in
the end zone. They threw rightat the flag to the right of the
flag. That was a terrible call. And other than that, Jimbo called
a beautiful game. Guy, theAlabama defender didn't have to worry about anything
to his right, just you know, a couple of feet to his left

and there's the out of bounds marker. But hey, you know, it
happens that. Meanwhile, they weretwenty four point underdog and they almost won
the game. And remember the Texaskicker jumped to Texas he missed a chip
shot field goal just before the half, which really got me upset because I
didn't think. I figured Alabama willcome out and they'll cover the I think
it was as high as twenty onepoints or twenty the kickoff, but you

know, they didn't. And itjust it's not that they were bad,
it's just that this happens. Imean, you know, a hundred degree
whatever it was one hundred and tenon the field, and Texas are ready
to play, and Alabama obviously thatthese teams are not going to sneak up
on him. I think they'll handleTennessee handily. I think they'll beat LSU
barely, probably Texas. I don'tknow what to think about it. I

think that if it was aff Iwas a betting man, I would bet
Oklahoma to beat Texas after they didto him last year, and I would
pick Oklahoma to win that conference,and I realize they're about a five or
six to one underdog. I thinkthey will. And well, I'll at
your opinion on this. Obviously youdon't agree with that, but I think
Oklahoma is going to be really goodthis year. At least my preseason dartboard

shows that. And I'll be surprisedif Florida State also an underdog to win
their conference. If they don't winthe conference, not Clemson, they play
at Clemson, I think third orfourth week of the season, they'll be
a three to four point underdog.But I think they're a better team.
This is a good Florida State team. Keep that quarterback healthy, and those
are two upsets that I like thatI'll be you know, I wish they'd

make them underdogs in every game,but I'll definitely be on Oklahoma and FSU
when they play those two teams.Oh, I like it all right,
Oklahoma in the Big twelve, FloridaState in the ACC. My last one

remember you don't remember, but itwas the first show and I'm thinking,
hell, I don't like picking onThursday, you know early, and you
asked me about that game, andI really loved so smart I am.
I really loved Florida State and withoutwhat about the winning by ten points?
The next thing you know, it'stied up, and I'm so mad with
myself. And I said, Icannot believe that I went against LSU.

I did it on your show too. I remember it was a top pick
in my service. And I walkedout of the room and Lenny said,
what's the matter. I said,what am I doing? I mean,
I must want to punish myself.Why can't I wait a week? What
the hell do I have to pickthat game for? And she came back
in said congratulations. We don't meancongratulates. She was they missed an extra
point. I went, you gotit? Of course, no sweat.
Anyway, I'm glad I didn't watchit. But to answer you a question,

I'm not trying this year. Ifyou only, if you put a
gun in my head, I mightgo with Florida State again because LSU has
a score to settle. I don'tcare if it's being played in Florida the
same I didn't care it was beingplayed in New Orleans. But I think
Florida State is a little bit betterteam. But the big plus for LSU.
This is me the handicapper. Iwant to take Florida State against Clemson,

and I think Randy, you'd haveto you were Craig, if you
have the schedule. I think FloridaState plays Clemson one or two weeks later,
and that's more important to them thanbeating LSU. May sound stupid,
but they play LSU in week one, as you said, Clemson is week
four. Actually at Clemson. Ye, who do they? Who do they

play in the middle? They gotSouthern mess at home and then at Boston
College. So the cruise and youcan take you can go against Florida State
in those games because they'll be cruisingthinking about about Clemson. But it's not
a must win for Florida State.I'd say it's a must win for LSU.
So it's too tough a game.Put a gun in my head.
