Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven ten wor He's sponsored
by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City of port Chester,
proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group. Now former Westchester
County executive Rob Astoria on seven.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Ten, all right, it's me, it's you, it's us. Is
that a pronoun that we should be using. I don't know,
rob Astorino with you here on seven ten, wor one
in hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
number to dial up? One in one hundred three two
one zero seven ten. Gorgeous day, nice fall afternoon. Nothing

(00:49):
like October baseball happening now in Philly Mets against the
Philadelphia Phillies, game one of the Divisional series, and coming
up in a couple hours in the Bronx Yankees against
the Royals. Thatt's like nineteen eighties baseball. Remember George Brett,

(01:11):
that was great baseball. So gonna be fun. Gonna be
fun here, at least, well at least for three games.
It's the best of five, so I fully expect the
Yankees to get through the Royals, and the Mets have
a tougher spot here against Philly. But I think look
Mets had a great series and beat Milwaukee with that

(01:32):
unbelievable home run by Pete Alonso. And I'm gonna talk
to you about that in a little while because my
good friend Michael Kay we worked together. We started the
ESPN together back in two thousand and one ESPN Radio,
and we used to get in these arguments all the
time on the air and off the air. Can you
be a fan of both the Mets and the Yankees,

(01:54):
or like the Giants and Jets? Whatever? And he went
berserk the other day on the air, as he's done
in the past. You cannot be a fan of the
Yankees and root for the Mets. And I one hundred
percent disagree with you, Michael. I am rooting for the Mets,
and I'm a lifelong Yankee fan. Bobby Mercer was my hero.

(02:17):
And yet I don't root against the Mets. I will
if and when they play the Yankees in the World Series.
I do in the Subway Series, but I don't care.
I don't care if the Mets win or lose, but
I'm kind of rooting for them. It's the Red Sox
I hate. That's who you're supposed to hate if you're

(02:37):
a Yankee fan, the Red Sox. There are your division.
I'll get your you know, look, if you disagree with me,
folks one eight hundred and three two one zero seven
to ten, feel free. But let me start with the
you know, the whole thing right now, Donald Trump, and
even want to get into little Mayor Adams and coming

(02:57):
up a little later, Alison Esposito. She's running against Pat
Ryan in the eighteenth Congressional district. So that's the Hudson Valley,
sort of the northern Hudson Valley, like you know, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Kingston.
Really important race and she could win this and so
we'll talk to her about that. But let me just
start off with a couple things. First of all, the

(03:19):
vice presidential debate earlier this week, my wife and I
watched it together in bed. We were clothed, but we
were watching it in bed. And we were up in
Newport celebrating her fiftieth birthday. So we went out to dinner.
We had a beautiful time, and then we went back
to the hotel and we watched the debate and we

(03:42):
both had the exact same thought when it ended, how
refreshing actually to watch two guys one hundred and eighty
degrees different in their viewpoint, and yet they were still
able to sit on a stand on that stage and
and have respect for one another. And I've been in

(04:04):
that situation where I've had, you know, respectful debates with
my opponent. I've had just go at their eyes and
throat debates which you've seen with Kamala and Trump. And
I kind of like both both are appropriate at times.
Both are you know, exciting when when it's heated. But
I thought it was pretty nice actually that jd Vance

(04:24):
and Tim Waltz, who is a knucklehead, and I'm glad
he admitted it, but it was kind of refreshing to
see them I have a respectful debate and I thought,
I thought Jadvance you know, wiped the floor with Waltz.
But it was interesting to watch just the unexpected, right
you go in there thinking they're gonna throw bombs at

(04:46):
each other. But here's the thing. I do think Republicans
have missed opportunities twice, and it was in the Trump debate,
it was in the Jdvance debate. And it keeps this
stupid narrative going and the Democrats are getting away with
it because the media lets them obviously, But we've got

(05:07):
to fight back harder on two things. One, this whole
immigration thing. When the narrative from Kamala Harris and Tim
Wallson and and the left is well, Donald Trump and
the Republicans sank the immigration, the bi partisan immigration bill
when they were like two Republicans that voted for it stupidly.

(05:29):
And so they don't want to deal with the border.
They don't want anything to do with fixing the problem.
They just want to keep this going as an issue.
So let's discuss this for one second. The border was
basically under control when Donald Trump was there. The remain
in Mexico is an important policy. You don't have a

(05:50):
right if you're claiming asylum. That means I'm escaping something
and I got to get to the nearest safe harbor.
So the nearest safe harbor if you're from Ecuador, it
ain't the United States. And so Donald Trump said, Okay,
you want to play this game, then you're gonna play
it over there. You're gonna sit in Mexico and you're

(06:12):
gonna wait your turn, and we will get to you
as we legally must. But you're not coming into this
country walking across and just hanging here for the rest
of your life because you can say the word asylum
in English, and that's the game they play. So the
left now said, well, this immigration bill, you you guys

(06:33):
torpedoed it because you don't want to deal with the issue.
You just wanted to be a campaign issue. That's a
bunch of bs. Because the first thing the Republican House
did was past HR two, which was a strong immigration bill,
and every Democrat voted against it, and Chuck Schumer in
the Senate wouldn't allow it for a vote. That solves

(06:53):
our problem. This other bill that they're talking about, what
it would have you know what it would have done.
It would have codified at least it would set a floor,
not a ceiling, of at least five thousand illegal aliens
allowed into this country on a daily basis period. And
that's just not including anything else like that ridiculous app

(07:16):
that they can do from wherever claim asylum, and that
wouldn't even count as part of the five thousand. So
it would allow thousands and thousands of thousands more illegal
aliens every day to come in. And it also gave
the power to the president to do what the president
already has the power to do. It was a complete
nonsensical bill, and we've got to start answering that back

(07:38):
as opposed to pretending like, okay, you got us here.
And the other thing was abortion, the favorite topic of
Kamala Harris. This is her safe zone, and we've got
to start playing offense on this. And I thought j
Advan said a decent job, but that we can't let

(07:58):
Tim Walls get away with getting away with what he
got away with, and that was the abortion bill that
he signed that even the Associated Press says is the
most radical abortion bill in the United States. In this
Minnesota law that Tim Walls signed into law, pushed through
the legislature, it allows unrestricted access to abortion up to

(08:23):
the moment of birth for any reason whatsoever. And here's
the kicker, which he denied. If you notice he didn't
answer this, it does, unfortunately, it allows a child who
survives an abortion to be allowed to die on the table.

(08:45):
Eight eight eight children so far since that bill has
been passed have been permitted to die on the table
that have not been giving life saving support. How disgusting
is that? I mean, seriously, people should be arrested for
allowing this to happen. And this is quote, this is quote,

(09:07):
you know women's rights. We can play offense on this.
They'll never answer, what restrictions do you support? Do you
support third trimester abortions for any reason? If a woman
chooses that, they'll never ever ever have any restrictions on

(09:29):
the books. That's that's not who they are. So who's
the radical ones here? So I think we can play
offense on this when they're allowed to make Republicans look
like we're the radicals. Know, if JD. Vanser Republicans said
all right, I don't want it, but I would agree
to a compromise of fifteen weeks as an abortion band,

(09:51):
fifteen weeks, would you, they'll say no. So don't let
them get away with any of this anymore. But I
think I think overall JD. Vans did a great job.
He was a plus for this ticket. Certainly, people who
watched him for the first time said, Wow, this guy's impressive.
And he's nice too. And the other guy from Minnesota

(10:13):
he's kind of a dope. He's kind of a knucklehead,
as he admitted, and a liar. Now, doctor Rob is
back with you because it is Saturday afternoon, and I
know you're hearing and seeing all these graphics on the

(10:34):
networks that Kamala Harris leads and she's winning in the polls.
So let me put my glasses on and it's time.
We should get like music for this or something. It's
time for the polling update. So sit down, cross your
legs for a moment, relax, take a deep breath, and

(10:54):
let me go through some numbers with you so you'll
feel a lot better and then we can get on
with the day. Okay. So these came out the last
couple of days. In Michigan ANRS poll, Trump leads Harris
forty nine forty eight. Have you heard about that? No,
you probably haven't. Right. In Arizona, Harris leads Trump forty

(11:16):
eight forty six. I've seen other polls where he is
winning by three or four. In North Carolina High Point University,
they're tied at forty eight. But there's one thing I
do have to say about North Carolina and Georgia, and
this is actually very concerning. Even though it's four weeks away,

(11:37):
Hurricane Helene might have an enormous impact on these elections
because it didn't sweep through and devastated Atlanta or Charlotte
or Savannah, big blue dots in those states that are
just about all read after that, it did hurt western parts,

(11:57):
the rural parts of those states, which have voted overwhelmingly
for Republicans and Donald Trump. So if you don't have
a house because it was washed away, if you don't
have a place to live, if you don't have a
polling place to go to, if you don't have a
mailbox to receive that ballot, if you're trying to get

(12:18):
your life back together, the last thing you want to
think about probably is going to vote. Or you may
have moved to a relatives place somewhere in another state
because your life is turned upside down by this hurricane.
I mean, think about us when we had Sandy and
how brutal it was. It took a long time to
clean up, and then you're dealing with insurance and you

(12:40):
get what I'm saying. And I'm worried that in North
Carolina and Georgia and even south west Virginia, because Virginia
potentially is in play, that folks that would be Trump
voters may not get out to vote in the numbers

(13:02):
that they should ordinarily would because they're dealing with this
the hurricane. Now, I hope that everything is cleaned up
in life is back to normal by then, and I
hope this is a moot point, and I think that's
a TBD. We'll see Trump in Butler, PA today. I mean,
this guy is like a freight train. Seriously, I mean,

(13:23):
whatever is in his way, he'll just knock over. So
think about this July thirteenth, and I remember I was
on the train going home from this show and all
hell broke loose when the bullet hit him in the ear.
And by the grace of God, I mean literally, he
should be dead. We would have seen that on television

(13:44):
and assassination. But for whatever reason, and I believe in
God and whatever you want to believe in, his life
was spared. Unfortunately, Corey Comparatories was not. But Donald Trump
is alive and he is going back to finish what
he started on July thirteenth. I mean, seriously, the cajony's

(14:06):
on this guy. God bless him to say, I don't
give a crap if you want to even shoot me,
I'm going to speak to the American people. I'm going
to finish this job. And so he is back there today,
which I think is going to be a very emotional
rally more so than anything else, because a lot of

(14:27):
the same people who went, they're going back to this
rally today. And you think about all those people, you know,
when he got up and said fight, fight, fight, nobody left.
Everybody sat there and started screaming USA, and they don't
know what the hell was going on, if there was
more shooters or whatever. So I think it's going to

(14:47):
be a very emotional five o'clock rally today when Donald
Trump takes that stage again. And he has admitted, and
he said this at the Nassau County rally, that he
gets the yips a little bit. So for those who
you know, play golf, the yips means when you go

(15:08):
to putt all of a sudden, you kind of lose
your concentration or you get a little nervous and you
shank it. And so he gets he said, now, since
that assassination attempt, I once in a while, you know,
I might see something in the crowd or hear something,
and I get the yips a little bit. You know.

(15:29):
Of course, who wouldn't think about that moment where he
literally was shot. So I wonder what he's going to
talk about today. I'm sure he's going to talk about
that day. And this is kind of like Musty TV. Actually,
just to finish up on the polls, because again I
want to go through these for a moment. Here, another

(15:50):
poll came out in Pennsylvania. Harris is up by one.
Marquette pol in Wisconsin. Marquette, by the way, is always wrong.
They have her up four. There's no way. Another poll
came out Trafoggo group. Trump is winning forty seven, forty six.
There was another Pole Cook report forty nine forty seven Harris.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
And then there's just so many of them that are
just very very close. But here's the key thing. If
you take all the poles in the battleground states and
all the states, do you know what the electoral map
would be today? If those poles are correct, it would
be two eighty one for Donald Trump and two fifty
seven for Kamala Harris. Two sixty nine is the magic number,

(16:32):
meaning he would win today. Okay, just wanted to calm
me down, all right, I'll get your thoughts just a
second here. One in hundred and three two one zero
seven ten, one in hundred three to two one zero
seven ten. But before I step aside. Of course, you
might be driving around somewhere in a car and it
might be like, you know what, it's time for a
new car, and if you want a Nissan, then I

(16:54):
got the place for you to go, not far from
wherever you are, by the way. It's part of the
Integrity Automotive Group. It is Nissan City in Portchester, right
on the Connecticut line, so easy to get to right
off two eighty seven, right off ninety five. I mean,
really very very easy. And whatever Nissan you want, they've
got it. Whether it's a brand new one with that

(17:16):
nice smell the car smell, yes, I love it, or
if you have a pre owned that you that you're
looking for. Whatever, Nissan City in Portchester, good pricing, no
hidden fees, no bs, no nonsense. You're comfortable walking around,
comfortable talking to them. They'll shake your hand, they'll look
you in the eye, and you'll be part of their family.
Like I am. I got my car from Integrity Automotive Group.

(17:39):
So stop by the Nissan City. You tell them rob
Astorino sent you and say I want my five hundred
dollars off, and they're gonna do that. That's it's really
very easy Nissan cityenwyd dot com, Nissan cityen Wide dot com.
Your call's next here on seven to ten WR. The
Robastorino Show marches along twenty five after four o'clock and

(18:01):
we'll go to your phone calls in just a second.
But you know, I saw there was an Uber driver
in Dallas and he was caught on video punching a
passenger after they had a dispute over leg room. A
sixty eight year old passenger in the back. I guess
he was punched in the back of the head after

(18:21):
he complained in the car. Seriously, And so here's my point.
I mean, I guess you can take Uber or a
taxi if you'd need it. But if, like if I'm
going to the airport scheduled something, I'm going Liro's point
to point seriously, because I know there's gonna be like
a normal driver, dressed well background check. I'm gonna be safe.

(18:44):
I'm gonna put my wife or my daughters in that
car and know that they're gonna get there without any problems,
without getting hit in the back of the head because
they complained about something or turned down the radio or
you know, do you have a tissue, No boom, boom boom.
That's not gonna happen in a Liros car. So I
would shelve the ride share and take a Liros really

(19:07):
on whatever your special occasion, your wedding, if you're going
out on the night, you know, a night on the
at the all over New York City or wherever you're
gonna go. Night on the town, is what I was
trying to say. Liros is it. So call them up
one in one hundred and eighty two Liros one eight
one hundred eighty two Liros or lirostg dot com. If

(19:31):
you want more information, say how to the Nikos family.
They own Liros and they are good people. All right,
let's sneak in a couple of phone calls and then
I might go off again about the Yankee met thing.
And you can follow me, and I hope you do
on social media at rob Astorino. I'm on X, I'm

(19:52):
on Instagram, on Facebook. I just tried to post something
on X and it didn't go through. I gotta try
that again.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Maybe.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
But if you missed today's show or you want to
listen to it again, or better yet, just go to
the app. Okay, it's the iHeart app put on your
phone because you can listen live wherever you are, or
afterwards you can listen to the show or or forward
it to somebody. That's how they listen, that's how we
build an audience. Or of course always go to seven
ten WR dot com. All right, let's go to the

(20:21):
phones and we will start in Westchester. Why not? That's
where I'm from. Ken? How are you? You're on seven
to ten WR?

Speaker 4 (20:30):
This show is girl right, all right, Rob and everybody.
I just hope they stay right here. This show is great.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
Ken.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Hold on a second, hold on a SECD. I got
to ask you this, what's your real name? What's your
real name, Kenneth Ken? Because every week you call and
you're someone different.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
I've heard that before.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
But no, no, no, no no, look, I'm gonna put
you on, but I want I want the truth. Where
are you from?

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Well? I do have roots in Westchester, but I did
move a little bit south, not that far south, but
into Manhattan.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
All right, all right, go ahead, Ken, If that's your
real name, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
All right. Well, the thing is, I just want to
tell people. People are very uncomfortable. They want to know
why this election is so close. It's because the sixty
five Immigration Act is fully kicked in. We've been invaded
by illegals, vote solidly for sixty years. They've had kids,
they're legal when they have them in here, and they
wrote left wing. That's the truth. The Democratic Party has changed.

(21:32):
Just look at the numbers from nineteen sixty to twenty
twenty four and you'll see that it's now a left
wing party and it was rebuilt through immigration. I don't
want people pulled in their head, but I mean Trump
is still going to pull this thing out. He's gonna
win because we know the Hurricane States that is a
disaster by FEMA. I mean, you know, in North Carolina

(21:55):
you have the one hundred and first airborn in the
eighty second Airborne. That's next door to what happened in
that northwestern part of North Carolina. Those guys could be
in there helping out. There's a lot of things that
could be done. The big, the big charities better be
doing something. Because I was helping out during uh during
the double superstorm, and there was a Red Coss truck

(22:15):
there and he was charging people for coffee and stuff.
But we went into the deli anyway because a couple
of delis were still open. But I can tell you
in World War Two, guys were coming off the battlefield.
Our boys were coming off out of combat, and the
Red Course was charging them for coffee and donuts. And
those guys, that's where I heard it from. They told
me those stories and they'd loved the I mean, they

(22:37):
loved the Salvation Army because they didn't charge them.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
All right, listen, next week, if you want to call,
you can call. But you've brought out the nineteen sixty
five immigration Acts, like four weeks in a row, and
you've your different name and a different location. So I'm
not stupid. Just call in as whatever your name is,
from the same location because last week we were from
Long Island. I'm not stupid. Yeah, I mean, just all right,

(23:05):
let's go back to the phone. Here, Maria in Tarrytown, Hi, Maria,
Hi Rob.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
I'm one of those people who don't trust those polls.
I believe that people will lie. Even if they want
to support Trump, they they'll say no. Because I come
from a town where you know, you just everybody has
had signs all over the place, and I feel like,
you know, if you said you were a Trump supporter,

(23:32):
they'd set fire to.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Your house, they might in Tarrytown.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
You're right, but I just I'm trusting that these polls
are wrong and then the gap is really more towards Trump.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Well, look, Maria, I again I believe and I and
I've looked at these poles inside and out, and I
know polling very well. A lot of it is the
sample size, the the turnout model that you use as
a will determine how many Democrats or Republicans, independents, et cetera,

(24:07):
and and how you wait them. So Trump has statistically
in sixteen and twenty been very undercounted by two to
three points. So if these polls are two points or
even there's probably a lot more for Donald Trump that's
showing up. But look at it. None of this, none

(24:27):
of this garbage matters until election day or now in
early voting. If you don't vote, and if you have
family members in some of these key states especially, you
better be facebooking them and telling them to get out
to vote. If you still talk to them, maybe they're
on the other side, then tell them tell them to
stay home. Okay, Dave, Dave, let's see in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Hi, Dave, Hey, Rob, how are you Buddy good Good.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
So, first of all, I want to.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Say, I love I love you. I love that you
you have the show on Saturdays for you know, for
us who have nothing else to do with this time.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
The other thing is I love when you come on
the Len and Michael and beat up Lend. That's great,
keep going do Yeah. But the thing I want to
say is that what we have to get get out
there is we need boots on the ground election day. Yeah,
we cannot have the same thing happen that it did
in twenty twenty. We need boots on the ground. If

(25:25):
they paper up the windows, we got to rip the
paper down. If they don't let you get to the
poll tables, we got to force ourselves in. We cannot
let the Democrats control this election again.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Now it's a great point. And by the way, you know,
people should volunteer somehow. I mean, if you're passionate enough
to call this show or Len and Michael in the
Morning or any of our shows, Mark Simone, you should
be passionate enough to go volunteer for somebody.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Right.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Alison Esposito's coming up in a little while. She's running
for Congress in a very important race in the Hudson Vent.
You might live on Long Island, help one of the
Republican congressional candidates or the state Senate candidates. If you
live in an area that you know there's really no
valid races. Let's say you're in New York City, then
then go up to Westchester and help Michae Lawler, or

(26:17):
go out to Long Island help one of them, or
hop on a buss as they do. You can call
some of the Republican Party and go to Pennsylvania. Let's say,
I know plenty of people who did that in sixteen.
They went to Pennsylvania in twenty as well and knocking
on doors for Trump. I mean, that's it. So think
about that. All right, Let's see Jeff and Maplewood, New Jersey. Hi, Jeff,

(26:40):
you're with Rob Astromino. How are you?

Speaker 7 (26:42):
Hey? Rob? And my name is Jeff. I was calling
because you brought up the issue that the Republicans, specifically
Trump had to go more on offensive on abortion. And
Trump has mentioned this, but I don't think he does
a good job explaining it. That abortion is not a
federal issue anymore, it's a state issue. Okay, there's nothing,

(27:05):
there's nothing there to legislate. Okay, every law on abortion
in this country right now is a state law criminalizing abortion.
The federal government does not have the right to rewrite
a state's criminal code. It just doesn't exist. Okay, you
could amend the constitution, but that takes a lot of work.

(27:28):
But that's the only thing you can do.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
And also, and that's a good point. Also if you
read the Dobbs decision, the whole point was this is
not a you can't, this is not a federal issue.
This is this should be back in the states. And
so if they do pass a federal law restricting abortion,
that might be unconstitutional on his face anyway.

Speaker 7 (27:50):
And but the point what would what would the law
sound like? Abortions shall be non criminal all across the country.
The federal government it doesn't have that power. I know
they can maybe maybe if you twist and turn and
look the right way at the commerce clause, you could
prohibit it, although I think that's problematic too. But you

(28:14):
certainly cannot overrule a state law unless it violates the constitution,
which as we know after the Dods decision, it doesn't.
See you'd have to amend the constitution.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Good call, Jeff, Thanks one eight hundred and three two
one zero seven ten. But the point is, once you
start getting into the weeds on this stuff, you lose
people because the Democrats are so good to make it emotional.
It's you know, it's a woman's right to choose, it's
a healthcare issue. It's not really a healthcare issue for
that baby, but whatever.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
This is.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Again where the vast majority of Americans do not agree
where the Democrats are. And basically you have to be
mentally incompetent to say that a seventh month, eighth month,
ninth month child, don't call it a feet This child

(29:05):
should be ripped up literally part by part and extracted
from its mom because you don't want to have it,
you know, I mean, seriously, Sandra, you're on with me?
How are you? Sandra?

Speaker 7 (29:24):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Sandra calling Sandra. All right, we'll have to put her
on hold. Maybe we get back to her, all right.
Joe in Manhattan, how you doing? Joe?

Speaker 7 (29:38):
God blessed President Trump and the real Americans who helped
those poor hurricane victims in my gosh, you know, unlike
those are so cold Washington. Anyway, Bruce Springsteen, come on up,
Paris and Fleation, come on up. Can high taxes. Come on,

(30:03):
five dollars gallon, Ohio. We're going to stop that magrit
crime and we're going to vote for President Donald Trump.
Thank you, Robert Spreno.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
All right, Joe, and I'm glad you brought up Bruce Springsteen.
He can go to hell. You know why, because Bruce
Springsteen just gave the biggest middle finger to so many
of his own fans when he came out not only
endorsing Kamala Harris, but trashing the crap out of Donald

(30:34):
Trump and by extension, anyone who's voting for Donald Trump.
Which if you go to a Bruce Springsteen concert, what
kind of fan do you think you're going to see
with Bruce Springsteen? Right, it's the lunchbucket crowd, It's the
it's the blue collar person of Jersey. Like Bruce Springsteen
pretends that he still is. The guy's a gazillionaire. But

(30:55):
you know what, I admire what he does, I admire
where he came from. But for him to go out
of his it's one thing to say I'm voting for
Kamala Harris, which I don't agree with, and quite frankly,
I don't think they should be doing just for their
own careers. But whatever. But then to go out there
and just go off on Donald Trump has a threat
to the world. Well, you know, the whole liberal nonsense.

(31:17):
You're telling your fans who are paying a lot of money,
go to hell, you bunch of idiots. You want to
hear me sing? I mean that, that's just it. I
can't stand these guys that think they have to do this,
the whole Taylor Swift thing too. Oh Taylor Swift. Oh okay,
I'm gonna vote for Taylor Swift because she says to
vote for him. Oh my god, to vote for Kamala
so I can have an abortion in the fourteenth month.

(31:41):
Oh my god. All right, Sondra, help me hear Sondra.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Okay, okay, yeah, I can hear you. Now go ahead, okay, great, listen.
I wanted I have a very good idea. I think
we can all agree. They were all outraged at how
the Bidens administration is treating North Carolina and the other states.
So here's what I'm thinking. All the non voters and

(32:08):
non deciders, we all know people like that, if we
can convince them.

Speaker 8 (32:13):
To donate their vote in honor of.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
The people who died and the people who cannot vote,
that could help those people that can. Like if I
mean someone who doesn't want to vote, maybe I'll convince him.
You know what, give your vote to one of those
people in North Carolina who stranded, who has the mudflies
or the tree over the thing where they vote, or

(32:37):
or the roads are all broken. Give your vote to them,
Donate it in their honor. I think if we spread
that word around, that's going to help them.

Speaker 8 (32:46):
Lord, I really do well.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
I'll go one step further, Sondra. We'll see how much
they care about democracy because they changed every rule possible
in these democratic states four years ago to make a
quote easier to vote. Let's see if you have areas
in North Carolina and even South Carolina was hit a
little bit, Virginia, and in Georgia and in Tennessee, all

(33:13):
Republican areas. Let's just see if people have legitimate reasons
because I don't know, they have no house anymore, and
for some reason they get their ballot in late Let's
just see if they still feel that way. Hmm, all right,
Coming up in just a moment, Alison Esposito, my friend
who is running for Congress in the Hudson Valley against

(33:36):
Pat Ryan. Important race, winnable race, and we're gonna check
in with her. She was also a deputy inspector NYPD.
She retired. But you got these a holes right now
in Times Square, thousands of people marching in favor of Hamas.

(33:57):
All right. I talked about Nissan City. Well, you know,
their sister is Toyota City, and she's beautiful and they
are part of the Integrity Automotive Group. Great cars, Toyotas.
We've had I don't know how many Toyotas, and they
were great with the kids. You know, you can just
stick the kids in the back there, but they're so durable. Anyway,

(34:18):
if you're looking for a Toyota, then Toyota City is
where you would go. That's in Westchester as well, in
Mamarnick right off ninety five and two eighty seven. It's
right on Route one. So they've got every Toyota you
would possibly want. They're all great, great lease rates, financing offers,
transparent pricing. That's what I like. I don't like the

(34:40):
hassling and the haggling, and they don't do that, thank god.
No hidden fees, so no surprises. Right, So you're gonna
get the respect you deserve. Go to Toyota City, part
of the Integrity Automotive Group. I am part of their
family because I got my vehicle from these guys and
they're terrific. You tell them rob Astorino sent you and
five hundred dollars. They're gonna give you the five hundred

(35:02):
dollars off any vehicle in stock And if they don't,
you call me. I'll go down with you know, will
beat them up together. Nah, trust me, they'll give you
the five hundred dollars. Toyota cityeny dot com, Toyota City,
NY dot com. All right, Allison Esposito up next, Me
and you together until five here on the rob Astorino

(35:22):
Show on seven to ten. WR. Well, you know where
I go on Sundays sometimes even Saturday nights. If I can,
I go to Domini's on Arthur Avenue. I gotta bring
you Bruce. Yeah, should we bring Noah? That's the question.
All right, we'll break see. These These two guys keep
us going, so I gotta I definitely have to bring
them because they beat you know, they're the ones that

(35:43):
put people on the air and then make this show work.
So they'll we'll all go to Dominicks one day right
on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, because I love it.
It's old style good stuff, you know, you walking down
Like for me, I would go to Fordham where I went,
I'd see a basketball game. Then I'd walk to Arthur
Avenue and you just start smelling the great food and
the ugh. I think I might go there tomorrow, say

(36:07):
hi to Charlie who owns Dominics, and get myself something
good like lasagna which they make on Sunday so it's fresh,
the big beef bragiole. I love it. I mean it's
like this is like a Bronosaurus coming out on a plate.
It's amazing how huge it is, and all the good
favorites that you normally would get bus nice pasta and
everything and fish. So go to Dominis on Arthur Avenue

(36:29):
and have yourself a treat, really old school good stuff,
good Italian. And still, by the way, this isn't going
to get me in trouble. But you know a lot
of these restaurants are now owned by Albanians on Arthur Revenue,
but Dominis is still a Littleitaiano, So I'm not saying
anything other than that, all right, let's bring in Alison Esposito.

(36:52):
She's a friend of mine and she is running for Congress.
She was the lieutenant governor candidate. She ran with Lee Zelden.
She would have made an excellent, excellent LG. But I'm
I'm glad she's running for Congress because we need help
in this country. Alison, how are you.

Speaker 8 (37:08):
Hello, sir?

Speaker 7 (37:09):
How are you today?

Speaker 2 (37:10):
I'm good, I'm good, so good. Let me just ask
you quickly about you know you were. You were in
the NYPD for twenty five years. You finished up as
a deputy inspector, which is very high ranking. You got
all these I'll be nice and say naive people. I
just think they're ignorant jerks who are marching in support

(37:31):
of hamas a terrorist organization. Okay, let's not even pretend
it's anti Israel. But you know, things could go bad
really quickly, and you were in the thick of a
lot of bad stuff that happened in the city. You know,
what do you start thinking when you see these these
massive rallies for such a horrible cause.

Speaker 8 (37:51):
So you know, look, we we have protections in place
where people can rally and voice their concerns, and and
and these are constitutional rights to protest, but these go
well beyond a constitutional right to protest. You saw college

(38:12):
campuses being held hostage by these agitators, and some of
them were, as you say, naive, maybe college kids, and
a lot of them are paid agitators that are there
to sow turmoil, to to destroy private property, to engage
in in Antifa like.

Speaker 7 (38:34):
A terrorist, like.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
Capturing quads and areas of the schools, and and there's
so much anger and hate and fear that goes through
the Jewish students that are just trying to get through
the you know, the quad, to get the class. It's
absolutely unacceptable. It is not constitutionally protected to do things

(38:58):
like that. And you see the these riots in the
city where months ago in Grand Central Station the cops
were being held at bay and locked into Grand Central Station.
People get hurt when these peaceful protests turned to riots.
And this is not a peaceful protest, This is not

(39:19):
and you're right, they're not if this isn't anti Israel,
this is a pro terrorist organization hell bent on not
only destroying Israel, but destroying America. They screamed things like
death to Israel, death to America. They're burning the American
flag and effigy, and yet they escalate very quickly. In Colombia,
you saw a janitor is being held captives. You saw

(39:41):
districts up all around the city, all college campuses, not
all college campuses, but a lot of the college campuses
that were you know, liberal leaning, that had these protests,
that had these riots because the schools weren't the grown
ups in the room and telling the students that you're
going to fail and you're going to be expelled unless
cease and desist, and police had to be brought in,

(40:02):
and this can go to violence, very very differ. We
saw in the summer of twenty twenty those riots, those
started out with protests right for George Floyd, they turned
into riots that were burning cities down. Kamala Harris was
bailing those people out. My opponent, Pat Ryan was marching
with those people, defunding the police. He's a sanctuary guy.

(40:24):
He's not pro law enforcement, even though he says it
in an election year he voted to He wants to
strip away any military type equipment of defense for police.
He calls weapons, even in the hands of cops, weapons
of war. This is what I'm up against.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
And you know, I'm glad you brought that up because oftentimes,
like Pat Ryan will come across as a nice guy. Right,
he was the former county executive and ulster. He's sort
of a family guy, and he comes across as a
nice guy. But there's plenty of nice people, but you
have to look at how they actually vote because that's

(41:00):
ultimately what matters and what he did in office. And
to be thinking that we should have sanctuary laws, which
he does, means your favor of open borders. You're in
favor of not working with ice and having criminals roam
our streets. That's the record, and so that's on the ballot. Folks.
It's it's a name, Alison Esposito versus Pat Ryan. But Alison,

(41:24):
as you know, ultimately the job comes down to not
shaking hands. It comes down to voting.

Speaker 8 (41:30):
One thousand percent one thousand percent. Now, what Pat Ryan
actually is is a wolf in sheep's clothing, And you're right,
he talks a moderate game. He's a West Point grad.
You would think that that would mean common sense, pro
law enforcement, pro military, but it doesn't. He voted like
one hundred percent of the time with the failed Biden

(41:50):
Harris administration, He only has come off of some of
those votes recently because of an election year, like his
fake calling to secure the southern border. Meanwhile, he voted
against HR two Securing the Border Act. He voted against
the Lake and Riley Act. For God's sake, he made
Ulster County a sanctuary county, refusing to cooperate with ICE,

(42:12):
refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, saying he's going to
stand shoulder to shoulder with his immigrant brothers and sisters. Look,
I'm all for legal, lawful and immigration, and that's what
this country is founded upon. But right now we have
millions and millions of unvetted people in this country and
we don't know why they're here or what they want
to do. We cannot sustain this with taxpayer money. You

(42:35):
see the tragedy that happened down south with the storms,
and now FEMA is saying because they gave money to
illegal immigration, they're not going to have enough money to
last throughout the storm cycle. And we're giving billions of
dollars overseas, and Kamala Harris is nice enough to cut
a seven hundred dollars check to people that.

Speaker 7 (42:54):
Lost their home.

Speaker 8 (42:56):
We have to be doing more and Pat Ryan unfortunately
is a rubbers stamp for all of the Sale Biden
Harris administration policies, and.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
He will be and and if Donald Trump gets elected,
he will oppose every policy that Donald Trump is trying
to push. And if Kamala Harris gets elected, he will
be one hundred percent with her. So that's what that's
what people have to think about. And don't go don't
split your ticket. If you're going out to vote for
Donald Trump, by the way, don't just fill in that

(43:25):
bubble for Trump and then turn around and walk away.
You have to continue because unfortunately there are Trump voters
who do this. There is a drop off between Donald
Trump and the president vote and then the congressional races.
We've seen this around the country. You got to go
out and finish the line you've got to vote for
in this case, Alison Esposito, because Trump needs help. Otherwise,

(43:47):
what if he has a Democratic Congress, They're going to
impeach him every week. So let me let me that
the really argument. Yes, so the economy right now, Okay,
obviously inflation, interest rates, people think we're going in the
wrong direction by big numbers, including even Democrats. So what
do you tell somebody listening right now who might be

(44:09):
undecided on your race. They don't maybe know as much
about you as they know about their own congressman. But
what would you say to somebody about why they should
vote for you.

Speaker 8 (44:20):
Well, look, the economy is pretty much across the board Americans.
Number one problem. We have a government now that has
imposed such severe regulations, has attacked energy across the board
that all New Yorkers, all Americans are feeling it right now.
Not only can we be energy independent in the United States,

(44:41):
but we could be energy independent. As you know in
New York State, we sit atop the Marcellus and Mutica shales,
and we could be safely extracting our natural resources and
bringing back jobs and prosperity. The Biden Harris administration is overregulating,
over taxing, and crushing our middle class. That is what
they do. We need to get our hands out of

(45:03):
taxpayer pockets. We have to stop sending money everywhere, and
we have to concentrate on rebuilding our infrastructure and securing
the prosperity of our Americans at home. We have to
support our small businesses. We have to support diversifying energy.
We have to make sure that we're tapping into any
type of energy, whether it's you know, the marsalis and

(45:25):
utica shells and cracking, or whether it's any kind of
fossil fuel, or whether.

Speaker 7 (45:29):
It's solar or whether it's nuclear.

Speaker 8 (45:31):
The Americans need a choice. When we were campaigning up
and down the state, we were hearing even from farmers,
I can't afford to harvest the crop that I planted,
and these EVY mandates are going to drive us out
of business. This is not how we make our Americans
more prosperous. And Pat is a Green New Deal guy.
He's one of the people that stood idly by when

(45:53):
they were making deals up in Albany for National Grid
to be able to raise their prices on the consumer
twenty percent as long as they didn't have any new
applications for any new pipelines. This is the Green New
Deal is at the cost of our American people. We
want to reduce our carbon footprint, but America does the
best at that, but we cannot continue to do this

(46:15):
at the peril of our New Yorkers and our American people.
They need relief at the pump, they need relief at
the grocery stores. It's twelve thousand dollars more a year.
Imagine being a single mom trying to decide whether you're
going to put food on the table or gas in
your car. This has to stop.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
So when I first met you while I was running
in the primary for governor and Liezelden picked you, and
kind of everyone went who And I have to tell you,
it didn't take long, and we were together at a
lot of events around the state, and it didn't take
long for both me and and people in my campaign
and then just everyday New Yorkers to figure it out

(46:54):
pretty quickly that you are a great candidate, a great person.
Lee made the right pick. I wish you both got elected,
but you know what, something different than store for you,
and I certainly hope it's going to DC because you're
exactly what we need. And I just hope everybody gets
out to vote for Alison Esposito Alisonesposito dot com. I'll
do it so just in case you forget, and you

(47:17):
can donate money to her, and you can certainly help her.
And the last thing you should do on election day
is walk out without voting for Allison. Okay, so please,
if you're voting for Trump, I don't care even if
you voted for Kamala Harris for some stupid reason, vote
for Alison Esposito. Okay, Allison, good luck man, Thank.

Speaker 8 (47:37):
You, sir, appreciate the time.

Speaker 7 (47:38):
It's great talking to you.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
You too, all right. Mich Lawler, my good friend, who
is a congressman in the Hudson Valley, Westchester in Rockland,
did you see this stupidity that mon dear, mon dear,
I'm not even gonna say his last name. His candidate
that he's running against, drop this surprise against Lawler that

(48:01):
of course the media took the bait. There was a
picture from twenty years ago of Mike Lawler dressed as
Michael Jackson, who he loves. I know Mike forever and
he loves Michael Jackson. He would do the moonwalk when
we were together. And there's a picture of Michael of
Michael Lawler dressed as Michael Jackson, and of course he

(48:24):
darkened his face to look like Michael Jackson. And what
do they do? They went after him saying that he's racist,
he wore a black face. All this stupidity, and you
know what, kudos kudos to Van Jones on CNN who
came out and said, this is the stupidest thing I've

(48:44):
ever heard. Here's a super fan of Michael Jackson paying
homage to him. Can we just stop this? Good for
Van Jones, who I did work with when I was
at CNN. So anyway, Mets Phillies, good luck to the Mets. Yes,
you can do it. If you're a Yankee, span you
can root for the Mets. Hey you go, Mets, step right?

(49:09):
Hold on, hold on? How about the Yankees? Can you
play a little Yankees?

Speaker 7 (49:26):
All right?

Speaker 2 (49:27):
So it should be fun Yankees tonight, casey six thirty
at the stadium and the Mets are losing right now,
one nothing in the third in Philadelphia. All right, we
will be back next Saturday. I want to say happy
birthday to my beautiful wife, Sheila. She turned fifty. Oh
I'm not supposed to say that she turned the big Well,

(49:47):
it's between forty nine and fifty one. And to my
beautiful daughter Ashland, she is turning fifteen on Tuesday. And
our beautiful dog Luna, who turns four tomorrow. The world's
crazy Peter Maziew will take you out. I'm Rob Astrino.
I'll talk to you next Saturday.

Speaker 3 (50:04):
Folks coming so well, well the world he's coming to hell.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
They will tell you, entertain it. Everything okay is coming
to hell.
