Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven to ten Doubar. He's
sponsored by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City of
port Chester, proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group. Now
former Westchester County Executive Rob Astarito on seven ten, you.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Have approximately forty five thousand people there. You look outside,
you have China ships all over the place. You have
Russian ships all over the place. We're not letting it happen.
And if Denmark wants to get to a conclusion, the
people are can probably vote for independence or to come
into the United States. But if they did do that,
(00:48):
then I would tear iff Denmark at a very high level.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
You can stand if you'd like. That is the Greenland
national anthem, which will be just like a typical state
flag one day, the Greenland state flag as part of
the US. Would they be the fifty first I'm not sure,
because Canada might be the fifty first or fifty second.
We might split it. That would be a very big state.
(01:11):
We should probably just keep the provinces as as they are,
add them all and then we'd have Panama, because we're
gonna get Panama and Greenland. This is gonna be a
big country, very much bigger than you'd expect. Good to
have you with us. Rob Astrino here on the rob
Astor Reno Show on seven to ten wor. It's the
(01:33):
eleventh of January. Take your freaking Christmas ornaments and tree
and lights down. You know how many places I'm driving around,
I'm seeing all these lights up. I know the Rockefeller Tree,
but that you know that should have been down last
weekend too, But I know that's like a big tourist attraction.
(01:54):
So I get it. But I your your light's on
your house and you've got Rudolph still on your lawn.
Come on, it's time to take it off down, Take
it down?
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Come on?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Does that make me a curmudgeon? Does that make me
anti Christmas? I hope it doesn't. It's just like enough already. Anyway,
it's good to have you with us. One eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten, one eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten. So it's kind
of like, where do we start. We had Trump sentenced yesterday,
(02:26):
we got the fires in Los Angeles, and it all
ties in and Greenland and Facebook. Now, so let me
untangle this a little bit. Put it into a bow
and then you can react because I think I put
this under the umbrella of the Trump effect. So let's
start with Greenland, Okay, or Panama or Canada, all of
(02:49):
them really under the same umbrella. I've already heard people say,
why doesn't he just shut his mouth? See this is
the stupid stuff he says, like we're gonna buy Greenland,
Like he could just go in there a real estate
deal and buy Greenland. Why does he just keep his
mouth closed? Or why does he gonna rub Canada's nose
in it? Or Panama? What do they ever do to us? Okay,
(03:13):
we're now talking about really important issues, just like TikTok
where you just do your little videos and you sit
there all day and as you're doing that, everything about
you on your phone is now in China's hands, but
you're not thinking about that. Others are. And the Supreme
(03:34):
Court's gonna make a decision whether or not that law
that Congress passed that Biden signed couldn't stand, meaning China
and Byte Dance has to divest itself. Byte Dance can't
be related to China in any way. They got to
sell off the US portion to an American company or
(03:56):
TikTok's going dark. You're not gonna be able to get
it at all. You're not gonna be able to download
it or keep it. Nobody thinks about the big consequences.
So just for a minute here, let's talk about Greenland
and why he brings this up. And everyone's like either
laughing or like this is Trump being Trump or how
stupid or this is why I hate him. But think
(04:17):
about this. China is encroaching on Greenland. Russia would love Greenland.
They already went to Ukraine all these all the stuff
that we need for the Green New Deal, or to
have electric vehicles or rare earth materials which we don't have.
(04:40):
They have it. Greenland is massive, massive, and most of Greenland,
you know, it's not habited, but it's under that you know,
dirt under that ice is stuff so precious that but
everyone wants it. So do we just say, you know what, China,
(05:04):
your whole goal is to ruin us. Your whole goal
is to take over America one way or the other.
You know, all of our medicines come from you, and
so when we're sick and through a pandemic, we have
to pray that you keep the ships coming with our
penicillin and antibiotics because we don't make them here and
nobody thinks about it. China wants Greenland. They're already getting
(05:26):
into Greenland. They want it, just like the Panama Canal.
China is our enemy, not the people, not the Chinese people,
per se. China is our enemy period. If you think
they are not, you do not understand what's going on
in this world. So yes, by Trump saying about Greenland
or Panama, which is very close to us, that we
(05:49):
need desperately for our military to protect us and the
countries around us, our friends, as well as the economic
devastation that would be caused if Panama was taken over.
Let's say they don't have a military. By the way,
do you know that Panama doesn't have a military, So
what if China just went in there one day and
(06:09):
took it over and then what Anyway, the point is
Donald Trump brings up these issues that the liberals will
laugh at or make fun of or people will roll
their eyes. These are really important issues he's bringing up.
And Okay, we're not going to have Greenland as our
fifty first state. You're not gonna happen to go to
the airport and say, oh, Jet Blue flies directly to
(06:31):
nuke Greenland. I'll take a little trip there and you
won't need a passport. No, however, Greenland and Greenlanders, fifty
four thousand of them, they can vote on self rule.
They might just do that and say, you know what,
it would be good to have a direct compact, a
(06:52):
direct relationship with the United States. Let them protect us,
let them have their military base here, which we did
and still do. And if there are gonna be rare
earth materials elements that are going to be used, we'd
rather go to the United States than a foreign adversary.
And all of a sudden, Denmark, by the way, says, oh,
(07:12):
you know what, we better upper military, we better upper
game because we've been falling asleep. No blank, Sherlock. So
this is what Donald Trump did. He starts this conversation.
No matter how he throws that Molotov cocktail into the conversation,
he starts it. And it's a really important one. And
the same thing with Panama and the Canal, and the
(07:33):
same thing with Canada. They've let their border be run
right over by people coming in here with drugs, and
it's gotten worse and worse and worse. So yeah, it's
really important. And this Trump effect comes in a lot
of different ways. And look what's going on right now.
(07:54):
How these major companies which went backcrap crazy over the
last four years, if even more than that eight when
the whole resistance was ruling the roost in these corporate
boardrooms and DEI and going after Trump in his first
term and everything. Now all of a sudden, either they're
coming back to their senses to where they really were
(08:15):
and should be, or they're saying, you know what, Okay,
Trump is back. He means business this time, and he's
got a Republican House and a Republican Senate. We're not
screwing around. So all of a sudden, all these guys
who hated him, who censored him, and us and me
and you and everybody. I mean, I was shadow band
on Facebook. I was taken off Twitter during the whole
(08:40):
COVID when I was out there, very out in front
on why schools should be opened, and why the statistics
were proving them wrong, why the masks didn't work, all
the things we knew if you actually looked at it honestly,
and we were covered up. We were told to not
be able to speak, and you know what we went
through anyway, Now he just saw so Zuckerberg meets with
(09:05):
Trump at mar Lago like others have done, and he realizes,
you know what, I got a big company, I got
to protect here. I better get back to reality. So
what does Meta do? Well, a whole bunch of other things.
All of a sudden, they're admitting now, they're outwardly admitting
that they're going to quote restore free expression on Facebook.
(09:25):
So they just said to you, yes, if you didn't
agree with the liberal stuff on covid or this you know,
rainbow mob stuff that we got to deal with with
the LGBT community and transgender and all this nonsense, if
you weren't on the same page as us, how dare you?
You were penalized, you were censored, you were shut down. Now,
(09:47):
all of a sudden, they're saying, we're going to restore
free expression across Facebook, Instagram and all their platforms, and
that they had these you know, these fact checkers which
were all left wing doing the same thing, and they've
admitted that they've gone too far. They're also saying in
these other companies that we're rolling back our DEI or diversity,
(10:09):
equity inclusion programs. You want to see what DEI is.
Take a look at LA. Take a look at the
fire commissioner that she appointed, who is an imbecil if
you've listened, but you go to the website and what
does it say about the fire commissioner in LA? You
know what it is? The whole introduction, historic first pick
(10:31):
of a lesbians as a fire commissioner. And it goes
on about the whole thing about Dei, not about her
credentials as a fire fighter. No, And these are the
results that you get so meta even say I love
this that they're now going to remove tampons from men's rooms.
(10:54):
Forget the fact that that imbecil's like the governor of Minnesota,
Tim Wallat signed a law requiring tampons in men's rooms
in Minnesota. But you had companies following along and playing along.
But now they're stepping back. So in the end, we
I don't know if we won, we're winning again. But
(11:16):
this could go back so fast. In four years, Let's
say Trump is voted out, Well, he can't run again,
but let's just say a Democrat takes over all this
nonsense could be back again because you're having rulings by
courts siding with like in Montana and other places, siding
with these far left groups because they still have power
(11:38):
on the bench. There's still power in these state legislatures.
There's still power. Look what's going on in New York.
Look what's going on in California. All this stuff. You
think this is a This isn't anything good about policy.
This is the worst of the worst on display. I
remember when I was elected county executive, but before I
took office, I was in transition. It was December of nine,
(12:03):
and I met with the previous separately, but the previous
three county executives who were alive. And I remember the
Andy AROURC who was the former county executive for a while.
He was a Republican, and we had breakfast out a
diner in each Chester and I remember one of the
questions I asked him. I said, God, Andy, I said,
how do you deal with like trying to separate government
(12:26):
and the politics, because you know, come January first, I
have a big government to run. I got six thousand employees,
a two billion dollar budget. You know, I actually got
to get things done. I gotta work, I gotta lead
but then you got the politics all the time, and
he said, you know, there's got to be a separation
and you'll learn that because in the end you're not
going to get reelected if your government's really bad. Is
(12:47):
good government makes good politics, not the other way around.
He goes, and I said, well, how do you deal
with the you know, the party chairs and everybody expecting something?
He goes, So he goes. You know, when I there
the county party chair we would meet every two weeks,
and every two weeks, like clockwork, he would throw a
(13:07):
Manila folder down on the table with all of these
resumes of people who needed jobs, and this went on
every two weeks for like a year, where he expected
all these party people to get jobs somewhere. And finally
he said, you know, I said to the chairman, I said,
(13:28):
I looked through these and can you at least give
me somebody qualified for a job. And the party chairman said,
if they were qualified, they wouldn't need a job in government.
But I always remembered that because I had to deal
with that too. It's like, who do you put it
as a commissioner, or who do you give jobs to?
And the really important, I mean all departments are important,
(13:52):
but some more than others. Let's face the public safety
emergency services. You know there are there are some that
are more important than others, and some should be not
political at all. And I wanted to make sure you
had the best and and yes, loyal and on the
page with me, but the best there. And you're seeing
that in places where it obviously doesn't work, where it's
(14:15):
where it's politics first. LA is a perfect example. New
York is a perfect example. I'm mean to look at
what's going on and how they deal with the immigration
stuff and the sanctuary cities and crime right, same thing
in LA. How they're dealing with these fires which could
have been I'm not saying it could have been prevented.
Somebody's gonna light a match. They're gonna light a match.
(14:35):
But they realized and knew that money water should have
been diverted from the north to the south, That reservoirs
should have been full, there should have been a redundancy
in the in the water tank system, there should have
been hydrants that weren't dry. All of these things they
should have known and did know. But the environmental left,
the politics totally totally overtook policy, and this is what
(14:59):
you have now have southern California burning, burning down. And
I love the fact that all these elite liberal white folks,
all with their affluents who voted for all these idiots,
who wrote checks to these idiots, who supported these idiots,
who are now screaming about these idiots because they lost
their homes or god forbid, lost somebody that they know
(15:20):
and love, and now they're blaming them because they did
what they themselves supported. And then what are they gonna
They're gonna leave California. I mean, can you imagine, just
think over ten thousand structures have been destroyed, schools, houses,
What happens?
Speaker 5 (15:38):
How do you?
Speaker 3 (15:39):
What do you do next? Not only as a community
but as in individuals. It's it's not fathomable right now,
and they're living it. I mean it's in real time.
We're looking at it through a TV in the comfort
of our home, but they're living it. And I don't
know what happens next, but I tell you one thing
that will happen. You and your insurance rates are gonna
go up because of what happened and the decisions that
(16:02):
they failed to make the right ones in California. You're
gonna pay the price too, So it matters consequences. We
hear about that all the time in elections. Now you're
seeing the far left on full display, from the imbecil
mayor of Los Angeles to the imbecile, slick back hair
(16:23):
Gavin Newsom, the governor who wants to be America's president.
You're seeing it on display in New York with Kathy Hochel,
how brutal she is, and in other places. And so
it does matter. But the Trump effect is having a
big effect because you can already tell that a lot
(16:47):
of corporations, a lot of people expect big changes in
nine days and he's already the president. Basically, I mean
whatever he says, people are reacting too because they know
he means business. Look at Mexico, there was this big
caravan marching up from southern Mexico to come to the
US before he got in, as you know, like last ditch,
(17:10):
let's run for the border while while Joe is still there,
while we can still get in. Well, what happened. Mexico
literally intercepted them and took these people and pushed them
over to Acapoco. Why because Trump is taking office in
nine days and he said, I will beat the living
daylights out of you, Mexico. I will make sure you
(17:33):
have tariffs that will you'll never be able to afford
your businesses to your economy will go down that, you
know what. So there reacting. So the Trump effect is
a good one, thank god. And it's we got two
more weekends left of this buffoon and then and then
then things will start to turn around in this country.
(17:54):
But nine days he can still do a lot of damage.
One and three to two, one zero, seven, ten. If
you want to chime in, and you know, I haven't
even talked about I do want to get to it,
and I will the whole I'm so annoyed at the
lawfair that they put him in this country through. But
(18:15):
that Marshawan yesterday despicable, not only in the sham trial,
but then you have the incoming president and what is
Judge Murshan, How does he address him? Mister Trump, not
mister president, not mister president elect, mister Trump. And that
(18:36):
was meant as a you know what, last parting gift
to him, even though he didn't sentence him to something
of consequence. And by the way, the Daily News, I
hope none of you ever read the Daily News. But
if you do stop the Daily News and their editorial
said that Trump got away with everything through sleight of hand,
subservient courts and procedural delays. You know what that's That's
(19:00):
called defending yourself. It's called appealing because you are able
to appeal these idiots if they were on trial the
Daily News, they do the same thing if they were
falsely accused. Anyway, you get the point. One eight hundred
three two one zero seven ten. One in hundred three
two one zero seven ten. If you're driving around and
(19:22):
your radio is farting out, then you need a new car.
And you know what you should do. You should get
a Nissan and get it from Nissan City and Portchester.
You know, I love these guys, I really do. I
got my car from their family, which is the Integrity
Automotive Group. If you go to their website, they've got
a whole bunch of dealerships. They've got Infinity, They've got
a whole bunch of different dealerships. And I know one
(19:45):
in Queen some in Jersey, couple in Westchester. They're all
over the place. But these guys are really really good.
And Nissan City and Portchester, right off exit eleven to
eighty seven or exit twenty one off nine. And they've
got any kind of Nissan you need, whether it's a
light light truck or an suv or a car. They've
(20:08):
got the evs, they got the good old gas stop
in a Nissan City in Portchester. Or go to Nissan
City their website Nissan cityeny dot com, Nissan cityeny dot com.
And if you tell them rob Astorino sent you, they're
gonna get a five hundred dollars discount off of their
(20:29):
off of the vehicle that you get if it's in stock.
Pretty good deal. All right, your call's next. See this
duacos is my opinions, and then your calls. So I
gave you my opinions. Now we'll take your calls. One
eight hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Rob
Astrino here on seven ten WRR for the rob as
(20:51):
Dono show. I hope you stay with us until then.
Rob Astreno here on seven ten WR And I I
appreciate when you send me a little direct messages or
I got an email actually recently and it was very nice.
But if you're gonna follow me on social media Facebook
(21:12):
where no longer are there tampons in men's room. That's
good to know. X, Instagram, Get Her Truth, Social like
all of them. So it's at rob Asturino. And of
course you can always listen to us on seven ten
wor radio or on your iheartapp either now like live
(21:33):
or later on the podcast or right on seven TENWR
dot com. So I got a nice email because Dominick's Restaurant,
which I love, and hopefully if you head down to
like a Fortum game, a basketball game, or if you're
going down to walk around, maybe go shopping there in
the Belmont section which is Arthur Avenue, or go to
(21:55):
a great restaurant. It's a nice day. You know, it's
fun to walk around there. And Domini's Restaurant's been there
a long time. Charlie Depolo good friend, and he's got
a great restaurant. We love just kind of sitting there,
people watching, having a good old meal. You know, I
love their pastas We normally go down on a Sunday
and they've got their own specials on Sunday, like the Brajole,
(22:17):
which the brazole there is like a brick. It's they
bring it out. They need like a machine to bring
it out. It's so big and heavy. It's literally a brick.
The thing is so big. I don't know how. I
don't know how they make money on this thing, but
because it's it's actually not expensive. And I eat like
a third of it, and then the rest of the
week I'm chowing down on this brajeole. It's like a
(22:40):
meat loaf. It really does look like a meat loaf,
but it's delicious, and they've got all the great chicken
and veal and fish, and it's just it's nice, old
school and they make their own wine, by the way
in Italy, which they impoort in. So go to Dominicks
on Arthur Revenue. And here's the good thing if you
go to Dominis. And this is the email because I
mentioned this last week. I said, if you go down
(23:02):
again down for me in Westchester, down to the Bronx.
But if you're going to Domini's on Arthur Revenue, there's
no congestion pricing. And they email me and said that
they had heard it, not Dominics of someone else. And
they said, that's a great idea, thank you, that's a
good that's actually an opportunity to market Arthur Avenue a
(23:25):
lot cheaper than going all the way down to Little
Italy where you're gonna get banged with a nine dollars
congestion fee. Yeah, and you know, I just love this.
So I saw that the MTA, and I think the
state is saying, you see, congestion pricing is working. We've
had less traffic come in and a little more people
(23:47):
take mass transit, but there's been no change in speed.
So those driving in with apparently less cars, you're not
going any faster. Why because the lanes are all congect
with I don't know, sheds, restaurant sheds and uh, pedestrian
(24:07):
only and bike lanes. But I'll tell you why. I
think it's happening. And this this was us last weekend.
We were going to come into the city and we
chose not to because I'm like, you know what, screw them.
I'm not gonna spend nine dollars just to come in.
And that's really unfortunate. But I think a lot of
(24:28):
people are doing that and that's gonna hurt businesses lower
than sixtieth Street in Manhattan, and they know it. And
what's going to happen. Let's just say this and I'll
take your calls in a second. Let's just say that
this works a little bit. There's like five percent less traffic.
Big deal. You know what's gonna happen. They're not going
to hit their budget numbers on what they thought, so
(24:49):
they're gonna have to continuously raise the congestion pricing fee
to make up the difference. It's chasing their tail and
you're the dog. Anyway, I thought that was pretty nice.
And the Pleasantville diner that advertises here, they called me
and said, we've had such an increase. Honest to god,
(25:10):
they said this to me. They said, we've had such
an increase in customers, and we've had a lot of
people comment that they've listened to WR heard it on WR,
heard it on your show, and it makes me feel
really good. So thank you, Thank you to If you're
going tell them, always tell them you've heard it on
our show. All right, let me take your calls. One
hundred and three two one zero seven ten rob Astor
(25:32):
Reno and let's start with I think it's a new beat.
Gino in Long Island.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
Hi, Gino, Hey, Robert. First of all, let's pray for
the good people and animals in California and pray for
President Trump and Vance and Scalise and they're doing the
decent thing. Also, I was out there till Thanksgiving morning,
and I want to let you know we have to
keep Red Cross and the rest of them the Salvation
on the seat to the fire and make sure they
(25:57):
help the people. West Coast Care Jenna Hooks and a
husband and family of Santa Medica blog, Well, they helped
people down there. And Church of Santa Monica in Santa
Monica had a wonderful Thanksgiving the day before Thanksgiving dinner,
gave clothes, they helped the veterans. It's wonderful. We have
to back up the organizations to help with do God.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Okay, all right, so I mean all right, yes, we
get it, we get it. Yea be the sinc. Nobody
wants to hear that. That's boring and that's off topic.
I don't know if that was Gino. Is his real name?
Kathy in North Carolina? You're on seven to ten w
or Hi.
Speaker 7 (26:33):
Kathy, Hey Rob, I love it On a Saturday. I
got through Hi. Two things to talk about. First, I
don't understand President Trump's position on TikTok because I feel
like that he should be all for banning them and
or selling it to an American company, since you know
(26:56):
he considers China such an evil place or whatever. You
know what, I don't I don't get this. I mean,
why is he taking that position?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
His so and this is a tricky one, and thanks
for the call, and it's a good question. So you've
got the Supreme Court. And this is a real tightrope
because it's kind of a balance between free speech versus
national security. And what Trump is saying is, can instead
(27:28):
of rushing to a very important decision on this based
on both, can you please just put a stay on it,
so pause everything. Let us get in there and see
if we can in the political way through either the
administration or Congress. Congress already made their decision with this bill,
(27:49):
but let us see if we can figure this out
a different way as opposed to a decision that's going
to be tying everybody's hands forever. And we'll see if
we could work with this company in a way that
makes sense national security wise, but also is good for
free speech that they will sell it. That's kind of
(28:09):
what he's saying. He didn't take a position actually in
the in the brief that he put in to the
Supreme Court. They specifically said, we are not taking a
position one way or the other. We're asking the Supreme
Court to put a pause on everything, to let us
get in and see if this can be worked out
through the general way that would be the executive branch
(28:30):
in Congress and dealing directly with this company. That's kind
of that's where his position is. I mean, if you
think about it, the Supreme Court making a decision hearing arguments,
you know, a week ago, and making a decision within
a couple of days or a week on something as
monumental as this. I kind of agree with him a
(28:50):
little bit. I hope they I would rather them take
their time on this and get it right because the
implications are really really big. One hundred and three two
one zero. The Trump effect, it's really amazing. It really is.
Before I forget, I just wanted to talk about the
and I'll get to your calls. This whole judge murshon thing.
(29:13):
You know, you have the left screaming that justice has
not been served. Now you know, they got what they wanted.
They got what they wanted. Donald Trump is a quote
convicted felon now officially after yesterday's sentencing of no sentence,
and could you imagine if he sent his sentence into probation,
like you got to check with your probation officer to
(29:35):
see if you can go to the NATO summit. So,
I mean, at least Marchon knew that it was completely
impractical to have the President of the United States, either
in in an orange jumpsuit or with special conditions. You
can't do that. It wouldn't be allowed. The Supreme Court
would stop it in a second. But this, this hack,
(29:59):
this partisan hack, played the game the entire way and
did the bidding. Never should have been allowed there. I mean,
he is on record he gave a fifteen dollars I
don't care if it's one cent or fifteen million dollars.
He gave a donation to Joe Biden, he gave a
donation to the Democratic Party, He gave a donation to
(30:20):
a super pack whose whole job was to take down Trump.
So he never, ever, ever should have been hearing this case.
And everyone's like, well, it's a slam dunk that'll be overturned.
I'm not so sure it's a slam dunk in New York,
where the appeals courts already kind of laughed it off anyway.
(30:40):
I mean, you just think of Judge Merschan's everywhere in
the judicial system that's New York. Will they and should
they overturn this? Of course, I don't know if they will,
and it might end up having to go to the
Supreme Court. And there's no question at some point it
will be overturned, whether by New York where it should
(31:01):
be corrected and they should save face, or in the
federal courts and the Supreme Court should do it. But
at some point it must be overturned. It's disgusting that
he had to go through this as a human being
and that we as a country had to go through it.
But that's what the left wanted to do from day one.
He was right, and honestly, that's why I got elected
(31:21):
because people saw it. One eight hundred and three two,
one zero seven ten. Let's go to Maria in Tarrytown, Hi, Maria, Hi.
Speaker 7 (31:30):
Rob.
Speaker 8 (31:31):
My argument is this, if you're from a blue state
like New York or California, where there's all this liberal
is the men, sanctuary cities and high taxes and crime,
then you need to stay there and suffer because you
created this problem by your vote. Don't move to one
(31:52):
of the other red states and ruin it for other
people by their Democratic vote. You need to stay there
and suffer.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah, no, I know. But the problem is, look at
all the good people, the non partisan lunatics in California
that are suffering right now. You know, there might be
just normal people, even normal Democrats who don't subscribe to
all this craziness. And uh, nonpartisan people or Republicans whose
house is burned down because of them, They're never gonna
(32:24):
they're never going to admit their failures. But these progressives
are very dangerous in this country, and this rot on
our foundation as a country. It's it is rotting, and
it's very scary. And Donald Trump and the Republicans they
better have that, you know, what's to do, what is right,
and I know they will, certainly Trump and he better
(32:47):
put really good, strong people in the federal court system
because this country is teetering and this radicalism which has
taken hold is really really dangerous. Forget the fires, this
whole country is just like hanging in the balance economically,
(33:09):
This environmental radicalism, this transgender nonsense. I mean, these courts
are determining that parents have no say if your thirteen
year old child wants to be butchered because he or
she thinks here she is something else, and parents have
no say that's radical socialist stuff. That is scary stuff.
(33:32):
One hundred and three two one zero seven ten Jim
in Manhattan, Hi Jim.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Hello, How you doing? Why is it that Donald Trump,
who has never held office in California Orla, took the
time to learn about preventing massive California fires and she
warned about it in October. But the California governor in
Lama had never bothered to learn about that, and they
never took any action to prevent fires. What are those
(33:59):
guys doing.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
With their What are they doing with their time? They're
figuring out how to bow to the transgender flag. They're
they're deciding how to raise taxes on the wealthy who
aren't paying their fair share. That's all they're that's all
they do. That's their politics, which drives their government. And
that's again that this is the result of that. It's
(34:21):
for the whole world to see. The symbolism is progressivism
should be in that fire. Progressivism should be burned up
by that fire. That fire should be like the burning
bush in the Bible or that fire should be freedom
and democracy, burning up the wasteland that is California politics. Unfortunately,
(34:42):
there are people that have been caught in that, and
animals and property, and if you could just think of
the devastation, it's so hard to imagine what they are
going through right now. But that I hope this is
a symbolism of burning down this progressivism that is really
spread around the United States. One in one hundred and three
(35:04):
two one zero seven ten. Hi, Soandra, how are you?
Speaker 9 (35:09):
Oh? Hi Rob, how are you. I hope you're doing well.
You know, there are two people on my mind, Mark
Zuckerberg and Karen Bass. Mark Zuckerberg, you know, as you know,
went back to his second meeting with Donald Trump. I
never saw him dressed in a suit and tie before,
and I found that to be very very interesting. And
you know, he says he's going to do things differently
(35:31):
going forward. He blames the Biden administration for pressuring him
for doing all the bad things that he did. And
also I'm thinking, with Elon Musk in the picture, even
if he kept his ways the way they were, he
wouldn't get very far. So and then I say that Trump,
you know, he keeps his friends close and his enemies closer.
(35:51):
So even though I might not trust Zuckerberg, I'm gonna
trust Donald Trump because he knows how to negotiate and
he knows how to handle people like him. And then
I just wanted to talk about real quick Karen Bass.
You know, she was warned a month ago by the
chief of the fire department that do not mess with
(36:14):
the budget. There's not enough money in the budget to
fight a fire. And here they are seventeen point five
million in that's not enough, Like I don't you know,
So I'm concerned about that. And then you talk about DEEI.
I think I heard her say she wants to hire
people like you and me. I don't want her to
(36:36):
hire someone like me. I'm small, I'm not that strong,
and if there's a fire, I want a big man
that's going to be able to pick me and my
pet out of the house to save me. So you
know what I'm trying to say, You have to pick
the right people for the right job, and none of
this DEI stuff.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Yep, thank you, Sandra. Well that is that gets into
the hole again, not only de EI, but the quotas
and all this other stuff. And they did lower standards.
We've been lowering standards in this country, especially in blue
states for quite a while. And the LA fire I
think it was the deputy commissioner, but she basically said, well, look,
(37:18):
if you're looking for, you know, a woman like me
to come in there and save you. If you're a
man lying on the floor, don't expect that. You shouldn't
be there in the first place. Are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (37:30):
So?
Speaker 3 (37:31):
I don't care who the hell comes running through that
door with an axe. If there's a fire in my house,
I just want the firefighter. I don't care if you're
a three hundred pound muscle woman, get me out of
this house, get my kids out of the house. Or
if you're a a black, white Asian, I don't care
(37:51):
what you are, a male, just do your job and
get me. But if you're unable because you were hired
so we could have x amount of this, an x
amount of that, and you're one hundred and pound one
hundred and one pounds and five feet tall and you
can't You can't even drag my ass out of the
house when it's on fire. That's what you want, No,
(38:15):
And you know what, that's not what anybody wants, they
say it, oh, when it comes down to it, or
if it were their house, they would never want that,
just like all these phonies. Not in my neighborhood. You
have a big house, why don't you put twenty five
illegal immigrants in your house? Well, they did not hear.
It's all phony. They're all phony phony. One hundred and
(38:40):
three to one zero seven to ten. Bob in Connecticut, Hi, Bob,
you're Hestorino.
Speaker 10 (38:47):
Just the correction and how you make a saying it's
not bat ss s crazy, it's bat Democrat or bull Democrat.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (38:59):
And then the problem with California and why these fires
are raging. It's the amount of methane gas in California.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
You mean the bs, Well.
Speaker 10 (39:14):
It's amount of methane gas.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
All right, Well, look it's it's a lot of things.
It's a lot of stupid things that they did that again, look,
arson is arson. Somebody lights a match, but it may
not have been as bad as it is. That's the point.
If they had done the proper forestation and prevention and
(39:37):
they were ready for this, it's not like this never happens.
It happens all the time. They used to have prescribed
fires where they had controlled burns. They do that for
a reason, and then the environment is no. Okay, we'll stop.
Even though we know it's bad to stop and it's
dangerous to stop, we'll stop. One two one zero, Si
(40:00):
and ten Kennon Linnbrook, Hi, Ken, how are you hey?
Speaker 6 (40:05):
Rob?
Speaker 4 (40:06):
How are you good?
Speaker 11 (40:07):
Thanks for taking my call, Thanks for calling.
Speaker 7 (40:12):
So I was.
Speaker 11 (40:12):
Wondering you were talking about congestion price and and I
was wondering where all the money, maybe in the new
administration can come in and investigate where all the money
is going for these red light cameras and the speeding tickets.
Speaker 10 (40:26):
Well, what do you mean, Well, where is all.
Speaker 11 (40:30):
That money being allocated? You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Well, it probably goes into the general fund and then
they just you know, piss it away what they do
with everything, It just goes down the rat right. Remember
we were told the lottery was going to pay for
all of our education. Okay, we got we get higher
taxes for schools and dumber kids.
Speaker 10 (40:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (40:55):
I can't figure it out.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Now you can figure it out. Look, who's in charge?
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Ken?
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Call anytime? Thanks, thank you, thank you for calling today.
Stephen in Manhattan, You're on, Hi, Stephen, How are you
doing good?
Speaker 5 (41:08):
How are you? Manalathan?
Speaker 3 (41:09):
By the way, Manalpin, Okay, I'm sorry, you know what,
You're right.
Speaker 6 (41:12):
It's all I'm mad it it's all good.
Speaker 5 (41:14):
Meanwhile, how come Biden didn't call out the National Guards
when those Jewish campus kids are getting terrorized by the
savages with the pro Palestinian agenda.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Yeah? No, it's all these decisions that they have made,
by and large, have been the wrong ones. They've been detrimental,
they're dangerous, they're destructive. Look at the looters right now
in Los Angeles, can I mean they should be They
should be hung in effigy. Honestly, you're going into houses.
(41:46):
People are fleeing and you're walking into their house and
stealing stuff. I hope you catch on fire. I hope
you burn. Sarah. This is just it brings out the
worst in people. One hundred and three to two one
zero seven ten. I gotta tell you about my friends
at Toyota City, part of the Integrityota Motive Group, and
I look, we got our car from them because we
(42:08):
trusted them, and they've never let us down. These are
people who are very transparent, they're efficient, they show us respect,
they will show you respect. They've got a great You
can get a car from anyone. Let's not let's just
be honest for a second. Right, you want a Toyota,
you can go to the nearest Toyota dealership, probably get
(42:29):
similar pricing. Whatever. However, there are things that make a difference,
the service, the attention they give you, yes on the break,
you know, whether they'll give you some money off the car,
what a lot of different things. But to me, I
want people who I can trust, who aren't going to
(42:49):
screw me at the end, who are going to tell
me one thing do something else, who aren't gonna overcharge
me when I go in for a service, who when
I sit down to sign the papers for the financing
or going to come up with some little details and
then you're you know your sol No, these are good people.
So Toyota City, it's worth the drive. Or it's pretty easy. Actually,
(43:11):
if you're at a kitchen table, open your laptop and
type in Toyota CITYNY dot com and then everything pops
up there on the vehicle that you want, the pricing,
all the good stuff that you need, and then like
give them a call, make an appointment. Toyota cityen Wy
dot Com, Toyota City, en why dot Com? Let me
(43:34):
say that one more time, Toyota City and why dot Com?
All right, I got a couple more things I want
to say before I get out of here at five o'clock.
And I I always appreciate you listening. I always appreciate
you calling in. I always appreciate the messages you send
on social media, and and I feel like, you know,
(43:54):
like the Integrity Automotive Group one big family, and I'm
part of theirs. You're part of my family. You're not
coming out with me tonight when we go out to dinner,
but you're part of my family. We'll be right back
on seven to ten wr.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
Rav Astarinos Show on seventoar.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
If you missed any part of today's show, you could
always listen on the podcast on iHeart Great app that
we have on iHeart so Download that. I'm looking forward
to next Saturday because after my Newsmax show, when I
normally walk over here and I will and I do
my radio show, which is what I'm doing right now.
(44:33):
At five o'clock tonight, I'm going home and I'm going
out with friends to Guadalajara Restaurant in Briarcliffe, great Mexican place.
But next Saturday, I'm going down to DC. I'm gonna
hop the train down in Penn Station, take the Excel
to DC, and we're part of newsmax's coverage for the inauguration.
(44:54):
I'll be outside during the parade for like four hours.
They said, like, dress really warm. You have to wear
a suit, you have to wear a nice overcoat, bright
red tie, but dress warm. Okay, So I'm actually looking
forward to It'll be fun. I've been to inaugurations, I've
(45:16):
never worked it, so this will be just like kind
of everything else, giving some color, giving some excitement, explaining
what's going on behind the scenes. So it should be
fun looking forward to that. A lot of us are
going down from Newsmax. We've got people in DC as well,
and we're having a party on Sunday night, the night before,
(45:38):
so it's an event. It's really cool. And then of
course you got all the inaugural balls Monday night, and
the minute Trump gets into the White House, probably like
around two o'clock two thirty, he's going to start signing.
I think at least one hundred executive orders they have prepared.
It's the shock and awe thing. A lot of them
are going to be on the economy and the border
(46:02):
and can't wait for him to start signing these things.
You know, I'm just thinking, has anyone seen a drone lately?
Where did this story go? It was consuming us a
month ago, even like two weeks ago, everyone was talking
about drones. Nobody's talking about drones anymore because nobody's spotting
any drones. Where did they go? Everyone was looking up
(46:26):
in the sky talking about drones. Where are they coming from?
It's China, It's ran now nothing, there's no follow up,
there's nothing. It's like dropped like it never happened. It's crazy,
which tells me, yeah, it was our own government doing it.
What other explanation do you have? It got too much
(46:50):
attention and they just stopped the program or they finished
doing what they were doing. This is it's like, seriously,
you think about that, drones, drones, drones to nothing last
week when I left here, this is like, so today
it's Biden's America leaving and Trump's America coming in. I'm
(47:13):
walking across town. I'm walking down Madison Avenue. It was
right near St. Patrick's Cathedral. Ironically, but so last weekend,
they had the PBR Rodeo at Madison Square Garden. So
you would see people around town with their cowboy hats
and stuff. And I'm walking on Madison Avenue and I
see this guy. This was like the Marlborough man. He
(47:37):
had a cowboy hat, a belt buckle, he had wrangler
jeans on, he had cowboy boots. Good looking guy, strapping guy.
This was like what you would think a man in
America was like. Was like because coming his way and
passing him. But I wish I had my iPhone. I mean,
(47:58):
I should have thought of it to take video or
a picture coming his way and passing him, and it
was like the past and the present hopefully coming his
way towards. The cowboy was a guy. And I have
air quotes up a guy in a dress with makeup
(48:21):
on and a beard. That's Biden's version of what a
man quote is like in America now where this guy
could be anything that he wants to be. And I
have to play along. And he's a guy dressed as
a girl, and I got to pretend that his pronouns
of he is not he, it's she. And then I'm
(48:44):
looking at this cowboy and going Trump's Pack, Trump's Pack,
Normal manner pack. Oh and one other thing. Did you
see Apple? They settled their lawsuit on Siri. You know, Siri,
what's the weather like or whatever? There's no question. And
now they admit Siri is listening to us all the
(49:06):
time on your phones or on your smartphones, your devices.
I was at I was having lunch with friends about
a month ago, and we talked about this one person
whose name had not come up and my lips or
their lips in twenty years. All of a sudden, the
mention of this last part of this last name. And
do you know what happened? The next day, I get
(49:28):
something about that person on my phone. Hmm, proof that
they're listening all the time. Crazy. Anyway, thanks for listening.
I'm back here next Saturday, five o'clock. Have a great weekend,
and take down your Christmas stuff, Okay,
