Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Department of Government Efficiency posted yesterday on x that
almost six hundred thousand dollars of our tax dollars was
spent on trying to understand why chimpanzees through feces.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Story.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Right up, you're auty, mister Brown.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Caution, you are about to experience the taxpayer relief shot
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution, you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on the
situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish the
death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our god
given and constitutional right to self defense in the event
(00:38):
that the criminal becomes drt. The taxpayers spared the cost
of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says, insert
audio here, our Sheriff Grady of Polk County says, insert
audio here. You have been warned listen at your own risks. Mike, okay,
(01:05):
allow us to insert audio here on your behalf.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
We call them taxpayer relief shots because somebody's breaking in
your house here, more than welcome to shoot them.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
In Centera's accounting. We prefer that you do.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 6 (01:21):
And I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks
into your home, comes into your home while you're there
to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you
shoot him. You shoot him so that he looks like
grated cheese, because you know what, that's one looter that
won't break into anyone else's home.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
You ever thought about that, there's the share to say,
just shoot them because.
Speaker 7 (01:45):
Until they look like grated cheese, save us the paperwork.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Just kill them.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
That's right. Just come on, we got we have other
things to do. Take care of yourself or my favorite
one of.
Speaker 8 (01:59):
All, I would tell them, if you value your life,
you probably shouldn't do that in Polk County because the
people of Polk County like guns.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
They have guns.
Speaker 8 (02:07):
I encourage them to own guns, and they're going to
be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
And if you try to break into their homes.
Speaker 8 (02:13):
To steal to set fires, I'm highly recommending they blow
you back out of the house with their guns.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
So leave the community alone.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Just leave them alone. Okay, Well get started. As you know,
I do not hear these dragon gets them from our
associate producer Agent Jeda, and I just play them. I
hear them as you do. My virgineers get to hear
them just like you. This with these first few award winners.
A driver brings a hammer, but there's a twist.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
I would tell them if you value and.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
The twist is double click there, Michael, double clicked.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
I'll learn that on these days.
Speaker 9 (02:52):
Police in an Arunto County say a motorcyclist shot and
killed a man who was charging at him with a hammer.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Last night.
Speaker 9 (02:59):
Arch Jack Watson reports on what looks like a road
rage incident in glen Burnie and.
Speaker 10 (03:05):
The one cop told me it was just some road
rage and it was just kind of sad for this area.
Speaker 11 (03:11):
Michael Nievis tells me he was on his way to
the store here in Glenn Bernie on Thursday night when
he saw the aftermath.
Speaker 12 (03:17):
When I was coming through, Like I said, everything was
taped off and the body was laying there.
Speaker 11 (03:22):
Interuntal County Police spokesman Mark Lemanski tells me what they've
gathered so far. A motorcyclist and another driver were on
nearby Route ten.
Speaker 13 (03:30):
The story is that he was driving on Route ten
when on a motorcycle when he realized he was being
followed closely by another vehicle in an aggressive manner.
Speaker 11 (03:39):
Lemansky says the twenty two year old motorcyclist pulled off
Route ten and that the driver continued alongside him and
shouted at him. Both eventually came to a stomp.
Speaker 13 (03:49):
This is where the motorcyclist got off of his motorcycle
and the driver of the other vehicle got out of
his vehicle and even according to witnesses, came out with
a hammer and.
Speaker 14 (03:58):
Charged with the motorcyclist.
Speaker 13 (04:02):
Motorcyclist then withdrew a handgun and fired shots, shooting, striking
and killing the driver of the other vehicle.
Speaker 11 (04:09):
It was here in the area of East Furness Branch
Road where police found the fifty one year old man
shot on the roadway. Police say the fifty one year
old driver's name is Scott David Goose. Police are not
releasing the name of the twenty two year old motorcyclist
because he is not charged with a crime. He did
have a concealed carry permit. Investigators will have to look
into this and confirm what's spurred this on. I asked
(04:30):
Lemansky whether it could be considered self defense.
Speaker 13 (04:33):
I think that's something that's going to be considered during
this case, whether you know, in a charging phase or
in sentencing if it comes to that. But you know
right now that that's just part of the investigations. They
certainly not being discounted.
Speaker 11 (04:47):
Police have witnesses, but they still want any information from
the public in their active investigation. They will now work
internally and with the State's Attorney's office to determine what's
next in glen Burnie. Jack Watson WMR two.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
By the way, that's the DC area. Because you were wondering,
bring a hammer to a gunfight with a motorcyclist, dumb ass,
Let's see this one's not yet fatal. Interesting. Nonetheless, police say.
Speaker 15 (05:14):
Thirty five year old Octavia Mondragon try to break into
the woman's home through the garage door.
Speaker 16 (05:19):
Now.
Speaker 15 (05:19):
Neighbors say that they reported hearing several gunshots sounds Friday
night just before eight pm near South Polk Street and
Beltline Road.
Speaker 17 (05:28):
The woman told police a truck.
Speaker 15 (05:29):
Had followed her home from a nearby tockle bell just
soort A.
Speaker 17 (05:33):
Police responded to this scene within minutes.
Speaker 15 (05:35):
And neighbors say they are still concerned because they know
this could have happened to any of them.
Speaker 18 (05:42):
We just don't have that here in this neighborhood. As
you can see, it's a cul de sac on a
quiet end of De Soto and we just don't have
this kind of activity here. So it was to me
it was jarring and scary.
Speaker 15 (05:55):
Mondragon was found shots with a loaded pistol lying next.
Speaker 17 (05:59):
To him, and according to public records.
Speaker 15 (06:01):
He lives about a mile away where the incident happened.
Speaker 17 (06:05):
He has since been charged with burgery and.
Speaker 15 (06:07):
Just so the police starts still investigating a motive and
if if mon Dragon has committed any crime or is
connected to any crimes around the area as well.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, leave the women alone, all right. A single mother,
Oh we got another female, A mother, A single mom has.
Speaker 19 (06:30):
Turned out of the young mom in Oklahoma who anger
gun at an intruder while she was on the phone
with nine one one, Eighteen year old Sarah McKinley says
the operator told her she couldn't shoot until the man
broke into her home, and the stunning moments that followed
were all caught on tape, and he sees Ryan Owens
has the story, I wouldn't have done it, but it.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Was my son.
Speaker 20 (06:50):
This young mother takes maternal instinct to a whole new level.
Speaker 16 (06:54):
I walked over and got the twelve gage, went in
the bedroom and got the pistol and put the bottle
in his mouth, and I called nine one one.
Speaker 20 (07:01):
Eighteen year old Sarah McKinley killed a man, she says,
to protect her three month old.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
Baby and.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Baby store to stretch her out here you late.
Speaker 20 (07:12):
On New Year's Eve, police say, two men, one armed
with a twelve inch hunting knife. We're trying to break
into her home outside Oklahoma City. McKinley recognized one of
them as someone she thought was stalking her.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
It was from door to door trying to bust in.
Speaker 21 (07:28):
I said, I could't shoot until I come in the door.
Speaker 7 (07:30):
Are your door's locked?
Speaker 17 (07:32):
You know, I've got two guns in my hand.
Speaker 7 (07:33):
He said, okay, shoot so if he comes in the store.
So I can't tell you that you can do that,
but you do what you have to do to protect
your baby.
Speaker 20 (07:40):
The teen mother killed the twenty four year old intruder
the second he stepped inside.
Speaker 7 (07:46):
Police call the shooting justified.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
You're allowed to shoot an unauthorized person that is in
your home.
Speaker 8 (07:55):
The law provides you the remedy and sanctions the use of.
Speaker 20 (07:59):
Deadly The second intruder turned himself in. McKinley was home
alone that night because her husband just died of cancer
on Christmas Day. While her son may grow up without
his father, this is one little boy who will always
know mom will do anything to protect him.
Speaker 22 (08:20):
I knew that I was going to have to choose
hmmer my son, and it wasn't going to be my son,
So I did what I had to do.
Speaker 19 (08:27):
There's nothing more dangerous than a mother with a child.
Speaker 20 (08:29):
For Good Morning America, Ryan Owen's ABC News Dallas, or
that is an.
Speaker 19 (08:34):
Understandman, boy, what presence of mind to give the baby
that bodily keep him quiet?
Speaker 7 (08:38):
And she's been through so much with her husband dying
on Christmas Day?
Speaker 2 (08:40):
And ask, do you know I find fascinating about this
one dragon? H That was Good Morning America. Oh that
was Stephanopolis at the end for good This is so
and so for Good Morning America in Dallas. And then
he heard Stephanopoulos talking about, you know, taking care of
(09:03):
that child.
Speaker 16 (09:04):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
All shocked. Another award winner, another single mother.
Speaker 17 (09:13):
And continuing coverage to a story.
Speaker 23 (09:15):
News Press now has been following, no charges will be
filed in the death of a man shot by a
homeowner on September eighteenth on private property in Dearborn, Missouri.
The shooting has been determined a justifiable use of force.
Officials have said this in a statement issue today.
Speaker 17 (09:31):
Joshua C.
Speaker 23 (09:32):
Hinder Lighter was shot by a female homeowner as he
ran toward her and into her home. The woman told
law enforcement she was home alone with her four year
old child when the shirtless man entered her property and
acted strangely, trying to put a pony and attacking a dog.
Speaker 24 (09:48):
The woman got a.
Speaker 23 (09:49):
Gun as hinder Lighter shook the home's front door, leading
the woman to fire several shots at him as he
followed her into the house, where she then fired several more.
Toxicology results showed him nder Lighter had THC in his system,
and the shooting led to a lockdown of the North
Platt School District.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Single Mothers Today, Single Mother Day on taxpay relief. Shots. Okay,
a deputy shoots and kills well, this hasn an interesting
twist to it.
Speaker 25 (10:18):
Also in Polk County, the Sheriff's Apartment says that a
deputy killed a man who was beating his own wife.
It happened in the Eagle Lakes area shortly before seven
o'clock this morning. The Sheriff's office says a sixty one
year old woman called nine one one and said that
her husband was beating her. The responding deputy entered the
home and said that he saw Charles Edward Junior attacking
(10:39):
the victim with a hammer. The Sheriff's office says Edwards
ignored calls to drop that hammer even after the deputy
taised him. The Sheriff's office says, Edwards raised his hammer
once again. That's when the deputy fired his gun at
least two times, killing Edwards. The wife is being treated
tonight for significant injuries, but is expected to survive.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Hey dragon, I know we celebrate you know, children and
animals dogs. Can we celebrate wives too?
Speaker 7 (11:08):
Of course?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Okay, thank you, uh An internationalman. Malaysia police shot.
Speaker 24 (11:15):
Four Vietnamese men who were responsible for cracking into nearly
fifty sives since twenty eighteen. Yesterday, a team of City
Criminal Investigation Department policemen came face to face with the
suspects when they raided a seventeenth floor residential unit at
Jalan NB at around eleven thirty pm yesterday. City Police
Chief Dotrusdi Mohmed is A said the suspects opened fire
at police during the ray, prompting police to written fire
(11:38):
in self defense. He said the suspects, all aged in
their forties, died at the scene. He torri potters at
the scene.
Speaker 17 (11:45):
Early this morning.
Speaker 24 (11:46):
He said initial investigations revealed the suspects had entered and
excited Malaysia multiple times. The police estimated that they made
about four point three millionaring it from their activities.
Speaker 17 (11:57):
Who's This said the suspects are.
Speaker 24 (11:58):
Believed to have broken into view and houses and offices,
took right into the safestarre. He edited that the suspects
have been linked to forty five SEMILI cases. Whosi said
investigations revealed that the suspects had been active since twenty eighteen.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Hmm, it's pretty brutal. Uh here we have a local
one handcuffed suspect in back of a police cruiser. Was
this Donald Trump?
Speaker 4 (12:29):
The Colorado State Patrols as a driver responsible for multiple
crashes stole one of their patrol cars and took off.
The driver died after a chase down a highway in
eastern Colorado. We just got detailed from CSP in the
last two hours. CSP says troopers came out to help
Outero County deputies stop a man accused of chasing multiple
crashes on Highway fifty this morning. They stopped him and
(12:52):
then somehow he managed to get behind the wheel of
a CSP car and take off. Troopers chased him and
stopped and dropped, stopped stick on the highway. That's when
CSP says he lost control, crashed into the side of
a semi and the car caught fire. CSP says the
man died at the hospital. Luckily nobody else was her
sounds like something.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Donald Trump would do, you know, climb over the back
seat and grab the steering wheel and start driving out
into eastern Colorado. Can't I mean that guy's nuts. You
gotta be careful. A man brings a gun a knife
to a gunfight with the Popo dumbass.
Speaker 26 (13:27):
Well, this all happened in a neighborhood near Sunset Park.
I did have the chance to speak with some neighbors
who tell me that they are quite surprised that this
happened in their neighborhood. Now, they didn't want to go
on camera, but they say it's pretty quiet. One of
those neighbors have been telling me that they heard some
of those gunshots. I want to step out of the
way and show you. We're getting a better look at
what the house looks like. You can see it's the
(13:48):
home that is boarded up, and you can actually see
the damage to some of those cars. Ros Vegas Metropolice
say that the call came in just after twelve thirty
this morning for calls about a shooting. When they arrived,
breaks and broken car windows, and they also heard screaming
coming from a nearby home.
Speaker 7 (14:05):
Officers had to kick the door open to gain entry.
Speaker 27 (14:08):
Upon entry into the residence, they came in contact with
two individuals that were in an altercation.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
With a knife.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Officers provided verbal commands, and shortly after an officer discharged
his duty weapon, striking an individual well.
Speaker 26 (14:32):
A person who was shot was taken to UMC where
they later died. A second person was taken into Kusidi
by metropolice. This is the thirteenth officer involved shooting in
Metro's store A section. We'll, of course have more on
this story on later editions. Left News three were putting
in the Southeast Valley.
Speaker 28 (14:52):
Any commentary, mister producer, it's a pretty good text pavery
relief shot right there.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah, anything else you'd like to say about it?
Speaker 7 (15:00):
That's all I got.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
That's all you have, isn't it? Nothing else you want
to add?
Speaker 6 (15:07):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (15:08):
You want to like cut out your little smart ass
commentary in my ear during these huh? Okay, all right,
next one of the pop polk shoot and kill a
car checking suspect.
Speaker 10 (15:24):
I'm misshocked. I'm a little shook up. Yeah, yeah, I'm
Jerry right now.
Speaker 29 (15:27):
This man who asked that we only refer to him
as Tony, says this simple decision to leave his house
during the halftime of the Eagles game tonight to give
his friend a ride could have cost him his life.
When he showed up at fifty fifth in Chancellor Streets
and unlocked his doors, he says, the man he did
not know opened the passenger.
Speaker 17 (15:43):
Door with a gun.
Speaker 10 (15:45):
I could tell that he was mainly ill. Something was
off with some because I offered my money to start.
He wouldn't take my money, so asked for my wallet
and just start searching through my IDs. But he had
the gun right at me the whole time.
Speaker 29 (15:58):
Philadelphia police say they got the College Answer Street just
before six for a disturbance between a forty seven year
old man and a woman believed to be his girlfriend.
Police say the man fired a gunshot while in the
home and ran out. That's when Tony encountered him. Tony
says at one point he tried to jump out of
the truck.
Speaker 10 (16:13):
And run a ranch three three cars, and he was
just right there and he had a gun, so it
was no point. So I just stopped and he was
on one side of the car a car, and I
was on the other side. I had my hands in
the air and I was just telling him, what are
you doing? Calm down, Calm down, you know. He just
wouldn't calm down. So I'm then jammed again. He was
trying to do something with the gun. They jammed again,
(16:35):
and that's when if po these came up and he
jumped in my truck and he spun off.
Speaker 29 (16:39):
Police say a shot was fired and an officer pursued
the truck to fifty second in Woodland Streets.
Speaker 17 (16:44):
Police say he got out.
Speaker 29 (16:46):
Armed, A sergeant and another officer attempted to arrest him,
and shots were fired again. Police say he was taken
into custody and died at the hospital.
Speaker 27 (16:53):
We're not sure if he was hit on Chancellor and
here or was hit one of the two locations. There's
a lot of work to do at this particular time.
We have to interview the witnesses that are there. We
have video that we have to collect. There's a firearm
here that has to be examined. There's other evidence here.
So it's going to take some time to put this
all together.
Speaker 29 (17:14):
Tony says, the man tried to hit him with the
gun and he fell trying to get away, But other
than some bumps and bruises, he's physically okay.
Speaker 10 (17:22):
He wasn't like the hostile. It was very calm. Maybe
it was just a thought it was a stick of
That's what I thought it was, and it just happened
to be the delusional, crazy kind of guy. It's a shame.
Speaker 29 (17:36):
So police still have a lot to piece together here.
They cannot say how many shots were fired, who.
Speaker 17 (17:41):
Fired at who.
Speaker 29 (17:42):
Again, they did say two officers and a sergeant were involved,
and again, the man that was shot by police died
at the hospital. All they could say at this point
is he is a forty seven year old man the
investigation stole in the very early stages, and I'm going
at this time sheib.
Speaker 17 (17:56):
What trouble and night for a number of folks involved tonight.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Dragging.
Speaker 30 (18:01):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Do you know what I got out of that one?
Speaker 7 (18:04):
There was a really good taxpayer early shot.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
The use of the term stick up. I haven't heard
that phrasing agent for a while. Yeah, it's a robbery,
it's a mugging. You're like Old West. Yeah, we had
a stick up today. We have a stick up going
on taxpayer. Really shots continue after this.
Speaker 30 (18:28):
I'm Michael Sorry, I can't listen to the show today
because I'm at the hospital. But I think they got
this whole thing figured out. This is awesome Valley parking
and breakfast for two for only nine bucks. Man, you
can't beat that. I might check into this from my
retirement savings. I mean I might have to come back
(18:49):
for lunch and dinner. Hey guys, have a great day. Gee,
I wonder where you got that idea. Huh.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
You know this is a full service program. I told
you it was a place to go. Well, actually I did,
my mom did. Vallet of course, you got a tip
for the for the ballot parking.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
Yeah, just a bucker too.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
You're good for free valet parking. You just gonna give
them a bucker two, you cheap ass.
Speaker 7 (19:18):
Yeah, that's why they're eating it. Hospitals. We talk about.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Good point, never buyd We're doing taxpayer relief shots because
it's Friday, and because and we do them for this reason.
We call them this for this reason.
Speaker 8 (19:33):
Somebody's breaking in your house here, more than welcome to
shoot them in Santa Croise accounting, we prefer that you do.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money. And that's exactly right.
Speaker 28 (19:42):
I want to get to this text message here relatively
quickly from Sarah. She says, listening this morning to the
taxpayer relief shots, it sounds like the left should start
banning hammers. You know, that's a very good point. Those
are assault hammers. Some are even assault style hammers.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
And I wonder if they went through a bat checking those.
We need comprehensive background checks on hammers. Christ then they'll
just move to screw.
Speaker 7 (20:06):
Why the hell would you need more than one hammer?
Speaker 2 (20:09):
I mean, and how long is the handle on the
hammer too? And what about ballping hammer versus just a
regular hammer? Us to think about. But of course we
won't because we don't care. Let's see what we got here, Uh,
the popo shoot and kill. We've got domestic violence again.
(20:29):
Stop it, guys, stop it. Oh, I shouldn't make the
assumption that it's ma'am I to say.
Speaker 31 (20:34):
We continue to follow that breaking news and Independence, Missouri.
In just the last few hours, police confirming for us
two people are dead, all following an officer involved shooting
that's happened this afternoon at an apartment conflicts near Lockspur Lane.
We want to get right out to KSASP forty one reporter.
Speaker 17 (20:48):
Listen, Jackson and Melissa.
Speaker 31 (20:49):
You've been there for several hours now gathering the latest information.
Speaker 17 (20:52):
Bring us up to date.
Speaker 32 (20:54):
That's right, Kevin, And like you said, we haven't heard
much until the last couple of hours here.
Speaker 17 (21:00):
We do know that two people are deceased.
Speaker 32 (21:01):
But what else we've learned from Independence Police is that
law enforcement officers or an officer did fire a weapon.
We're not sure how many officers were involved, but we
do know that they were called here to a domestic
disturbance and it seems.
Speaker 17 (21:17):
That it escalated from there.
Speaker 32 (21:18):
They also could not confirm the nature of that call,
what exactly they were called here for.
Speaker 17 (21:23):
But one thing is for sure.
Speaker 32 (21:24):
People who live here are shaken up as they wait
to hear what exactly happened inside of those apartments.
Speaker 17 (21:32):
In the back of the Oval.
Speaker 32 (21:33):
Springs apartment complex. A police involved shooting put people in
protection mode.
Speaker 17 (21:38):
Sorry, I keep looking over. I'm waiting on the bus.
That's the property manager. I'm very shooking up.
Speaker 32 (21:43):
Carrie Lufkin waited for school bus after school bus to
be there for children whose parents might have still been
at work, while traumatized.
Speaker 17 (21:51):
From what she saw it was a domestic situation. Sorry.
Speaker 32 (21:58):
While saying they're not able to share more much because
police were involved in the shooting, an Independence Police spokesperson
acknowledged the somber mood there.
Speaker 17 (22:06):
It always is.
Speaker 16 (22:08):
There's never an instance where this doesn't affect the community,
your first responders.
Speaker 17 (22:15):
This isn't the outcome anybody wants.
Speaker 32 (22:16):
Among tenants asking questions about what happened.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
That's said, that's real.
Speaker 32 (22:21):
Sad Peers like Heather Razzo, with work clothes still on,
rushed to the school bus stop.
Speaker 16 (22:26):
I need to make sure that I get my kid
off the bus and you know, make sure he's safe,
and you know there is nothing going on around here
that could potentially cause any more harm.
Speaker 32 (22:38):
Looking out for their own families. They think people need
to also look out for each other.
Speaker 16 (22:43):
It's just sad to hear about stuff like that going
on in the world that we live in, and you know,
it just needs to be addressed more. I think, you know,
mental health and all of it.
Speaker 32 (22:57):
We've asked the Independence Police Department many questions, most of
which they say they cannot answer. They did tell us

We's Spartan attempted to give the individual orders at this
point in time, shots were fired. We do have two
individuals who ended up at a location at Carlisle and
Lomas who left the scene who had been struck with
the non life threatening injuries. We also had another individual
at the gas station who was struck a little bit
(25:21):
more seriously, that was transported and the Fender was killed.
We did recover a firearm from the offender, but we
still need to piece everything together. The Fender's firearm was
opened with an empty magazine, but we need to figure
out exactly what that means. We will be out here
the remainder of the night officers processing this scene and
(25:42):
trying to piece together what occurred this evening. The child
is safe, the child wasn't injured. We were able to
track down who they believe is the mother of the child,
and they're working to get the child back into the
mother's custody. At this point in time, that's all we
have for right now, and we will give an update
once we have another update. But we're working to get

Speaker 14 (26:39):
A man is dan after a confrontation with Saint Paul
police officers. The shooting happened this afternoon. You're the intersection
of Bay Street and Watson Avenue. Police gave us an
update earlier this evening, and our Richard Reeve has the
latest from Saint Paul police headquarters.
Speaker 31 (26:55):

Speaker 7 (27:07):
Let's show you some video from that scene first.
Speaker 34 (27:09):
Now, this video obviously shot in the evening, but things
unfolded in this area around one forty five pm near
the intersection of Bay Street and Watson Avenue in Saint Paul.
You can see the area sealed off by the BCA,
and in one piece of video you may be able
to see a bicycle lying on the ground tonight.
Speaker 7 (27:28):
Saint Paul police say this all.
Speaker 34 (27:30):
Began around one o'clock in the eleven hundred block of
West seventh Street, after an anonymous caller reported the suspect
of a Saint Paul murder, identified as Michael Stowers, who
spotted outside a laundromat on a bicycle. Police say the
anonymous caller called again and stated the man on the
bicycle was indeed Stours. When he left the area, officers
(27:51):
followed him and here's what police say happened.
Speaker 35 (27:53):
After that, Officers in uniform and mark squad cars converged
on his location and they were doing this with the
intent of stopping him into trying to determine if he
was Michael Stalwars or not. When they approached the man,
he was armed with a handgun. Officers fired their service
weapons and striking him.
Speaker 36 (28:14):
He said, the cops just shot somebody out front. I
don't know what's going on, he said. He didn't even
hear a stop or anything. He just said that they
just boom, boom, boom, and then started.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Oping everything else.
Speaker 34 (28:26):
Now that was Cameron Crawl, who says his brother heard
those shots, saw the man fall, but did nazee officers firing.
That man died at Regent's Hospital a short time later.
Authorities are not saying how many officers actually fired their
weapons or how many shots were fired. We do know
that the BCA is now in charge of this investigation.
(28:47):
We also asked if the man raised a weapon toward police.
That is all part of this investigation. Those officers now
on administrative leave. In Saint Paul, Richard Reeve five eyewitnessed all.
