Billboard at two hundred chart Short and Sweep came in

by six hundred units above Travis Scott in his album
for Address A Few Things One. Sabrina Carpenter, I think
this just goes to show you that success most certainly
doesn't come overnight. So if you're working towards something in
your own life, you got to keep going on your
own timeline. Because Sabrina didn't we bring her to a

mall parking lot here before I got here. I remember
Josh Martinez, our old afternoon guy telling me that Sabrina
Carpenter performed in like a parking lot of the mall.

Okay, now look at her opening for Taylor Swift.

She's got the latest Skims campaign, or I guess she
was before Charlie XCX, and then she's now got the
number one album, which is a huge feat Short and Sweet.
With the release of that, it was the third highest
released of the year behind Beyonce's Cowboy Carter and of
course the tortured Poet's Department. So good for her. Good

for her now? Alternatively or conversely rather is the word
I'm looking for. I think that also speaks volumes to
Travis Scott, because Travis Scott's niche as far as you
know the people that listen to his music, it's a
little less wide like a Sabrina Carpenter album, Like Espresso
was everywhere you went into I don't Know Gap and

you heard it, and then you went into Kroger and
you heard it right, and then you saw it on social.
Really hear much about Travis's album, but for him to
come in only six hundred units behind Sabrina, I think
is a very big deal.

Second and three things you need to know this morning,
let's chit chat about Justin Biber. So congrats to him
and Haley for becoming a dad. He hasn't put out
new music in three years. He hasn't toured in a
little over two, in fact, since he was one of
his last tour dates before he canceled Ramsey Hunt.

And I'll say it, his tour at Heritage sucked. It
was bad.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I mean, it was cool to see Justin Bieber, but
I'm just like, Okay, this wasn't that great. So kind
of in a roundabout way, a person in the indie world,
his name is mk jan was doing like a piece
for New York Times and he's supposed to be this
really big guitar person. I can't speak a lot to
him because I kind of just don't know him.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
But he had said, you know, I'm working.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
On a lot of new music and one of the
people I'm working with is Justin Bieber. So I don't
know if that means that Justin's gonna put out new
music or maybe Justin is helping him put out new music.
When there's more on that one, I'll have it for
you but I just know that there's a good chance
you're gonna scroll past something about him. And then, finally,
in three Things you Need to Know this morning, Saint

West is launching a YouTube channel, and Kim Kardashian, who
is a lawyer herself, or at least in the hunt
to become a lawyer, made him sign a contract that
gives her the right to make the account private or
delete it it Saint doesn't follow these two rules. The
two rules are I am not allowed to comment on

any personal family information and I am not the second.
The first one makes sense for the Kardashians, right, there's
a lot going on in that family.

You got to keep some of.

It private, and they're big on, you know, their own
storytelling an image. Listen to this second one, though this
was out of two rules, this is a second rule
that Saint West had a follow. I am not allowed
to film while my sister North West is recording music,
which makes me think that there's gonna be more music
coming out of North you know, miss miss Westy, I'm

your bestie, right, or that that had Kanye written all
over it, because anything that North does, of course, is
attached to Kanye.
