Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up fifth in the morning, kiss one seven one,
all right.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I think this question is really dependent on the person
and your lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Would you leave the money for your sanity?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
What's more important to you in the workplace, your your
sanity or the money. Before we get to Anonymous, and
she said before she came on the radio, She's like,
please don't say my name.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I'm like, I get it, I get it.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I was going to try to get Julia on the
Job for this, but I figured, even though Julie on
the Job is our career expert, this feels like a
very personal question and we're looking for personal opinions on this.
So Anonymous is looking for some advice on whether or
not she should leave the job for her sanity or
(00:49):
stay for the money.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Good morning, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Oh my god, I.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Have never done this before. This is so awkward.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
No, yeah, it's always me.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Literally, it's me in this little box and I answer
the phones and it's just you, and isis what do
you think?
Speaker 1 (01:02):
What are your thoughts?
Speaker 5 (01:03):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:04):
My gosh, hello, Tips, I listen to you every morning.
I've just never made a phone call.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Well, look it up, all right, So walk me through
what's going on?
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Okay, to set the table, I work in a warehouse, Okay.
All of her management staff is very young and inexperienced,
and a few months ago we lost our operations manager
who oversees everything. So we have a bunch of managers
running around like little petulan children. So the problem is
they are the problem, and there's no one to go to.
(01:38):
So I need everyone's help. I've went to the ethics committee,
who won't even return my phone call. So what I
have is in a direct supervisor who is playing favorites,
telling most of us that we're not allowed to clock
in early, we're not allowed to stay late, we're not
allowed to try to get extra hours. But there is
(01:59):
one one person in the entire building who has a loved
to clock in every day an hour and a half
early Monday through Friday and work on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Okay, And so how are you feeling with that?
Speaker 4 (02:11):
They want to keep me where I'm at? I don't
want to be where I'm at. I'm burned out where
i'm at. But this same manager has basically rule over
everything and there's no one to rain her in.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
H And do you I want to ask a simple question,
but do you like working for this company?
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Not anymore?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Okay? So are you?
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah? They pay me good girl.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
God, And it's tough right now.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
So I hear out there. What is your question for Cincinnati.
Let's see if we can get you some help.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Would you leave the money? I mean, would you leave
the money for your sanity?
Speaker 5 (02:46):
All right?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
You hang tight, Let's see what Cincinnati has to say
before I give my take on it. Five one three,
Because you very much might be in the same position,
so I figured it'd be great to connect you and
your wisdom. Rea seven nine, one oh seven one. Stay
for the money, leave for the sanity. You can also
(03:07):
talk back with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app. That microphone
is in the top right hand corner.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Morning.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one. We're in the midst of getting
some advice for Anonymous on whether or not she should
leave the job for her sanity or stay because the
money is good.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Good morning.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
I think, honestly, she should leave her sanity and her
medical health is more important than people playing favorites, honestly,
because it just doesn't do anyone good. I'm in the
same boat, and I'm I'm deciding whether or not I
want to leave my job or stay, because I mean,
mental health is more important than a simple boock.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
You sound very confident in your decision, so you'll have
to let me know when you do leave and how
you feel about that, and just know you've got a
team of people here to support you.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
What's your name?
Speaker 6 (03:52):
My name is Jordan. I'm from Hamilton, Ohio.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Thanks to the call. Jordan, appreciate you. Call her too.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
I think that she just said for the money, because
the world is bad anyway, But I think that you
should try to give the manager at.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Least literally wye.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
She can come friends with her and they become a favorite.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Okay, what's your name? What neighborhood you waking up with?
Men Erica, Richmond, Erica. Thanks so much for the call.
I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
If you're just kind of walking into the story, I'll
ktchip to speed here anonymous call. She She first panics,
She's like, I literally never call a radio station, which
I know is kind of bizarre, but since it's literally
you and I sitting down for coffee every morning, it
becomes less weird the more you do it, right, I'm
the one that answers the phones here, She says, I
(04:35):
like this job. I like what they're paying me. I'm
terrified because I hear the job market's a nightmare right now.
But my boss is driving me nuts and I feel
like I can't succeed or grow here.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
What do I do? And I figured you would have.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Some personal experience with this, So if I'm just catching
you five win three seven four nine one oh seven one,
or be our first talk back with Tiff of the
day on the iheard.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
APPI good morning.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
You're waking up with tip in the morning on a
kiss one oh seven to one. Do you leave the
job for your sanity or do you stay because the
money's good right now?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
I thank you first of all for listening.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
We're commercial free if you like our music, and second
of all for participating. I always feel better doing a
little temperature check of the room, especially if I'm not
an expert in a subject right now, so this one
not my expertise. That's why I'm kind of leaning into
you this morning. Hi, you're on the air.
Speaker 7 (05:28):
So my advice is that you can control your sanity,
but you can't control the money. So if you've got
to go paying job that's staying you really, really well,
then you should stay. I mean, you can control your sanity,
you can't control how much they're going to pay you.
With that being said, though, there's not a warehouse job
(05:50):
out there that you couldn't find something else similar with
a similar pay, with the better staff.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
You know what. You make a great point on that.
What's your name? What neighborhood you waking up with me?
Speaker 7 (06:00):
My name's George. I'm from Harrison.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
George. Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
And I mean to cut you off, but I want
to get at least one more call in. Go ahead,
you're on the air.
Speaker 6 (06:08):
I personally would leave for my sanity.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
But if she wants to stay, because it sounds like
she really enjoyed her job prior to the changes, I
would document everything.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yes, that's good advice. Document everything. Okay, what's your name?
By the way, whit neighborhood you waking up with?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Me?
Speaker 5 (06:28):
And Sam? And main?
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Though?
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Sam, thank you so much for the call.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I've got to run just because we've got like rapid
fire phone calls coming in.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
But thank you for taking the time. Take care you too,
my gal.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
We're split, dude, we are split fifty to fifty in
our calls right now five one, three, seven, four, nine, one.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Oh seven one.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
If you've got to take good morning, we're about three
or four minutes away from the three things you need
to know to get your day started. In SINSI, a
major concert announcement was confirmed yesterday.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Very excited on that one.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
But we're in the midst of getting some advice for
Anonymous who had called and said, Number one, it's odd
to call a radio station, but I listened to you
every day, so I feel like I know you, And
I said, Gal, that is true. She said, I'm losing
my mind at this job right now, losing it, but
the money is really good, and I don't know what
to do. Stay for the sanity. Nope, leave for the sanity,
(07:22):
stay for the money. Good morning. What's your advice?
Speaker 3 (07:25):
I Yeah, so I actually just changed jobs because my
last one was so stressful, and honestly, it was the
best decision I ever made.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Okay, walk me through what feeling you had when you
made the decision and how you kind of got to
where you are now.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah. So, I think it was just like every day
going to work. It was just like that hit in
your stomach feeling of just being so stressed out, and
I honestly just felt like I couldn't do it anymore.
Like mentally I was not okay, and so I finally
made the decision to change. And honestly, that is also stressful.
(08:04):
But I feel like once you get over that hurdle
and you find something that's really good, like I feel
like I can breathe now, and it's like release, okay,
and it feels so good.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
What's your name? Well, I'm glad you're feeling good, my gal.
What's your name? What neighborhood you in?
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Katie from Cincinnati, Katie.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Thanks for the call. High you're on the air.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
I think any job you're gonna have favoritism, any job
you're gonna have that one person.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
That you just don't click with. It's everywhere. Say for
the money, Okay, what's your name? What neighborhood you Waking
up with?
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Men Jordan and Porn.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
I like the efficiency on that one.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
A little behind the scenes in radio here, I run
the show by myself, so I have to like screen
our call, so when you're quick quick, it allows me
to get to a bunch.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
I just want to say not all money is good money.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Oh that sounds like it came out of a movie.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
What's your name? What neighborhood you in?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
My name is Alex and I'm from Dell.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Hi, Alex, thank you for the call. We're inconclusive this
morning on the show of Yes or No, leave the
job or stay and that happens sometimes. Well, what I
like to do is get a lot of different opinions
and then you choose the one that you think works
best for you. I can't always offer you advice, but
what I can offer you is hopefully a little dose
of confidence.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
That's what you get when you listen to the show
every day.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Try to install trusting your gut right, flexing that gut
muscle and your intuition and knowing what's right for you
doesn't mean that you don't lean on others from time
to time, which you pick and choose what works for you.
And I hope that's what we did for Anonymous this morning.
Thanks for your participation, Thanks for showing up every day,
Thanks for vibing out. Let's get to a little music.
(09:41):
Then we're gonna get to three things you need to
know to get your day started. In Cincy, I am
spiraling about this concert announcement.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
I cannot wait. I've texted everyone
