Will Weldon and Eliza Skinner, uh... podcast.
I uploaded the episode way late, but don't worry because it's an EVERGREEN AWARDS SHOW EPISODE!!!!!!
Continuing with TV month, Will watches Eliza's favorite episode of television, True Blood season 6 episode 8, "Dead Meat". Will originally stopped watching True Blood in season two (a minotaur, come on man...) and is this mid-season, exposition heavy episode going to feature enough meat for a non-fan to chew on? And what about it makes it Eliza's favorite? Also, we goof around. Don't worry.
Welcome to TV month at Angry Little Goats. We start things off with Eliza watching Will's favorite episode of television, Doctor Who series 9 Episode 11, "Heaven Sent". She seemed to have some questions, he seemed embarrassed by his love of Doctor Who, and you seemed entertained (citation not needed).
Wow uh whoops the dang episode is a week late, I guess I have to up my meds or something until all these generational horrors stop happening so I can focus on my normal tasks a little bit better. We watched Ravenous, the cannibal movie that is also really a vampire movie, but also it is a cannibal movie. Going with a true cult hit to close things out!
Jack Finney's "The Body Snatchers" has got to be one of the most adapted pieces of literature ever, right? And don't get all smug, and say "actually, the BIBLE is the most adapted piece of literature" or some shit like that, because I'm talking about REAL books that are good and not given to you as a "gift" after you complete your first communion. Anyway, this week we watched and talked about 1978's Invasion of the Body Snatcher's.
...Will and Eliza get their feet wet after taking a vow of silence after the last time they stopped doing the podcast. It's probably a little rocky; there's a reason you're getting two at once on the first day.
We go from the fun silly time of "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark" to the horrific violence of "Audition". Severed limbs! Eating (CENSORED) out of a dog bowl! (CENSORED) off a (CENSORED)! It's a big of nightmare, folks...
This is essentially just a test episode to get everything setup, but uh enjoy, I suppose!
