This abuse could be sexual, emotional, social, spiritual, or physical; you were hurt by the place that should have been safe. You were hurt by the person who should have been protecting you and leading you in faith to a strong and solid relationship with God. Thinking back now does it seem off? That moment. Those moments as a child, a vulnerable teenager when the pastor touched you. When he said you were so special. Looking back as an adult now with children of your own, it begins to dawn on you that something was wrong. You would never want the minister to touch your kid or talk to your kid that way.
