are going to be happening on the show today, Lord Willie.
First of all, it is the week of Love, Valentine's Day,
fellas here it comes Friday. Speedy and I have kind
of walked me not so well, Speedy pretty good. We

(02:16):
hope through having two different things on Valentine's Week, I
have an anniversary in Valentine. Speedy has a wife's birthday
this year. A biggie A biggie is it today?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Oh my gosh, yeah, sure, a big one. Yeah we'll
hold that.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
That's a big, big, big Sorry, buddy, you got a
lot on you today. Yeah, okay, So then you turn
right around and here comes Friday. But anyways, so since
it is the week of love, you know, we've put
together something special today and and we'll play it probably
the rest of the week because I think I think
we're gonna have a hard time getting enough of it.

Speaker 8 (02:54):
Well, if folks want to order it, they got it done.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Yeah, they got to know. Yeah, So we'll we'll do
that and that's funny. So so anyway, we'll we'll talk
about that today and we'll play that for you.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Jeff Strucker will be our guests.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
And you know, Jeff's one of those people. I mean,
he's in the the Army Rangers Hall of Fame. Okay,
there's one thing of being a ranger and then being
a Ranger in the Hall of Fame. Yeah, next level.
He is highly decorated, highly highly decorated American hero. Probably

(03:32):
most of us know this part and it's only a
small part of his military career, but you know, he
was portrayed in the movie Black Hawk Down.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
He was in is it Mogadishu? Am I saying that?

Speaker 6 (03:44):
Yeah, and involved in that debacle and heroic, so heroic.
But he is also now out because he is a
follower of Christ and he's out speaking at men's events everywhere,
and we have the honor of having him as part
of our lineup. When we get to Dakoula, Georgia, right
outside of Atlanta, coming up on February twenty eighth.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
In March one.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
You know, we have two Man Church conferences coming up
next week next weekend Panama City, then the weekend after
that the Atlanta area, and Struker will be in the
lineup for the Atlanta Man Church Conference. So we'll talk
to him today. Incredible, incredible man and talk to you. Hey,
if you've never heard him speak, We we get down

(04:29):
to business. My kind of guy, so we'll talk to
be looking back. Yeah, well we'll talk to him today. Honestly,
I'll just be real weedy. It's one of these things.
This is the kind of guy that we're all on
our toes. We don't want to because if we do
anything goofy, He's going to be like, what a bunch
of yahoo's, right. I don't want him to see us

(04:53):
this bunch of yahoo's day. But we are a bunch
of y'aho's. That's gonna be tough, it is.

Speaker 8 (04:56):
And when we booked him, we got confirmation that that
it's on his schedule, but not to be a bip
and you don't want to come in too hot prior
to even though I want I'd love that piece of
mind knowing, Yeah, we're good, but I know he is,
so I don't want to reach back out and bother him,
because then I'd be disrespecting with what you don't think
I put it down?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Think I don't have this covered? Yeah? Did I confirm
with you? Yes, sir? But then why are you looking at?
Why are you doing this? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Do you go to a highly decorated army ranger and
say I just won't be sure you remember you're on
the show today.

Speaker 9 (05:27):
Yeah, you say like recon confirmation alpha delta.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
From there? What's going in there?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I think I needed to go to a doctor.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Really, Yeah, maybe about two weeks ago.

Speaker 10 (05:44):
Yeah? Probably.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yeah, So it's been busy super Bowl all.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
That, Yes, true, so busy on a Sunday.

Speaker 9 (05:52):
Actually didn't have the party. I'm glad it was such
a dud. That halftime was a dud, The game was
a dud. I'm glad I didn't know that I was sick.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Party would have been I thought you had gotten Are
you now back worse again?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I think I backslid?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yeah, all right, thank you. Do not shake aeddler's hands.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
No, it is I need to sign as surgery. Remember
I broke my nose at the Metal Show show.

Speaker 9 (06:15):
I didn't remember, and then I had sign a surgery
like over a decade ago. Well, that tissue can regrow,
and it's regrown and it's all closed up again, like
a gopher hole that's clogged.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Well, you sound fantastic, sounds so good and happy.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
Speaking of getting beat up in the pit at a
metal show, I saw some video the other day.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
You know, I'll just scan on YouTube look at their stuff, and.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Uh they now they swing their fists like this, like
round here. You know about the karate kicks. It's like
they're just completely out of control and wae's nuts and
they're just hammering people in that face.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
But why it's dancing?

Speaker 3 (06:53):
What is it slam? You used to there doing this?

Speaker 11 (06:56):
You know?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, they start this wind meal they did the.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
People getting just knocked out.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
I don't understand how the song.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
It's a festival of geniuses.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Whatever happened to just snapping your fingers? Yeah, I can't exaggerate.
How enough enough of hot look.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Tapping your toe to the beat. What happened to you?

Speaker 6 (07:19):
That's a great boy, buddy. So we'll work through the
stories of the day. Trump administration. Wow, still still a lot,
I mean, still winning. Just I mean he's in by
tired of winning. I mean just the winning continues.

Speaker 8 (07:35):
That Russian prisons, he said, Trump's a heroes.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Biden couldn't get him out.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Heads up to people going to Russia. Even if you
have a medical card. They're not big on marijuana.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
No, they're not like you. They'll lock you up. No,
they do not like Mary Jane.

Speaker 9 (07:51):
Yes, especially if you're a famous lesbian basketball player. Thank
you understand how much leverage that buys you in America.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
I know if Brittany was here, she would say, they
thank you very much. Thanks a lot, Chris. So, So
anyway we.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Have that, well, we'll get an update on all the
winning that's going on. New Wednesday Bible study today starts
at noon Central one o'clock Eastern.

Speaker 12 (08:16):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
There's a lot to unpack. And right out of the
gate we go to the Book of Job, a much
discussed book of the Bible and one of the clearest
pictures on suffering that we find a lot of answers
are there.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Now.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
They may be answers that sometimes we don't want to
hear or see, but they are there. And we'll jump
into that today on installment number one in chapter one
of the book, of job. That's noon Central, one o'clock
Eastern on the YouTube channel. If you don't catch it live,
the archives available soon after on our YouTube channel and
our podcast channel.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
So the table is set there, it is. We'll jump
into all this today and much more that we were
not able.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
To get to in that small I'll say, so, thank
you for being with us. And big birthday wish coming
today too for Terry Wilbrin. It's a big one, it is.
What are you more nervous about that? Or whether Jeff
Stripper is gonna be on?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Oh, Jeff Striker, for sure, we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, still denying any involvement

(09:39):
in the food fights of nineteen seventy nine.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Rick Burgess, yep, me with me, all right.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
So thanks for being with us today and good to
be watching all of you now that are checking in
on social media, on our text option, emailing, and of
course we get the phone calls too. That's kind of
becoming everybody's least favorite now, which is fine.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Let's talk about an opportunity in front of you, all right.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
So we talked about the winning that just continues with Trump.
I mean every time we turn around he told you
we'd be tired of winning. Uh so, but right now, uh,
we still want to keep an eye on the administration.
Right now, we all we all feel good about it. Okay,
we we were all right. We see action un left unless,
of course, you know you're you're one of those that
are that's having a conniption and keeps screaming, screaming out

(10:32):
constitutional crisis.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
By the way, get a new act. But anyway, so,
the Association.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Of Mature American Citizens, Uh, this is a conservative lobby
for those of us that's are a little bit seasoned.
Means we're old, okay, but we're wiser, we've got the
gray hair. We've got to prove it. But so we
want to hold them accountable. But we don't want to
be with a ARP because we're not leftists.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
We don't.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
We are our politics and if you are, than enjoy AARP.
But those of us that are conservative, the Association of
Mature American Citizens is a better option for us. Now,
let me tell you when you go to AMAC dot
us slash big vox, you're going to find that right now,
they offer a one hundred day tracker, so we can

(11:19):
track the administration on everything that's happening.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
They should just call it a winning tracker, and you
have that.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
But also you're going to get America's number one conservative magazine,
that's the AMAC magazine. Yes, you're going to get the
discounts on you know, restaurants and on travel and insurance.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Yes, you're gonna have access.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
To people who can help you navigate social Security, navigate
you know, through Medicare, Medicaid, good grief. So all that
is there. But it's a conservative lobby and right now
you really get a special. You can become a member
right now at forty seven percent off normally sixty dollars
for a five year membership.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Now it's only thirty two. That's for five years.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
So go to amat dot u s slash big Vox,
or just use our link that we have there at
Rick Burgess Show dot com under the sponsors button. So, uh,
we we were updating a few things.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Greg.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
I saw this for you and somebody told me to
pass this along to you. Uh, and I thought this
was really really funny. Uh, this is something that was
on on somebody put on X for me today said
hey be sure Greg sees this. And it's a guy
who said my wife just called me lazy and I
said uh and said I better have something planned for

(12:33):
Valentine's Day And I said, yeah, I was thinking of
maybe taking down the Christmas decorations.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
There you go, still.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
Out, buddy, Yeah some of them.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah, got a few down, got a few damn.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Nick Knack, Patty Wack, give the dog mall yeah m
hm oh yeah yeah, so uh so I so yeah, yeah,
well put a few hearts on it. Greg, here comes Friday.

Speaker 8 (13:03):
I think you just you embrace it and just whenever
she's ready, you ready.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
You know what you're you know what your gift is
to your sweetheart. This is what she wants. She wants
to keep looking at her Christmas tree, so she gets
to I guess I ain't gonna say anything about it.
Not gonna pout about it, not gonna be mad about it. Yeah,
just gonna let her enjoy it. It ain't like I'm
missing out on something I enjoy doing.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
That is correct. They love taking down Christmas, right.

Speaker 8 (13:24):
Yeah, And I know that the grandkids and everybody comes over,
but your empty nesters, so who cares?

Speaker 3 (13:30):
You're only two? There you got a picture, You got
a picture somewhere Little Mary Hollis was standing.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
This is just taking Like last week, she's standing in
front of Christmas tree pointing at it.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
See there. Now it is confusing to them. They think
it's still Christmas.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
But other than that, Yeah, what about how did Pistol
pace his birthday?

Speaker 13 (13:47):
Go?

Speaker 12 (13:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Well you know he hadn't had the official party.

Speaker 6 (13:49):
Yeah don't we have a combination coming uh in May
March second.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Which is also our sister's birthday. Yes it is.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
But he was fired up a lot of hawk stuff,
so lowsey as that he's happy.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Understand he got a full hulk outfit. Yeah, oh well,
well only beat me up. Oh and the.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Don't hit hard.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
They don't care where they Yeah, I don't care, no face.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Well them huns aren't really that solved now. Well, Greg
and I were talking about his leg. When when you're
when you're when you're a dad or or a granddad
or an uncle or whatever the problem is, and Pistol
faces hit this. There's an age with little boys to
where they get to where it's It does hurt enough
that you have to protect yourself, But if you get

(14:41):
them under control, you're much bigger and stronger than they are,
and they can almost get a panic face when you
go too far. All of a sudden that face changes, like,
my goodness with that, why would you do that to me?
And you're like, well, had to get you off of me.
Elis is getting tall and bigger, and he's getting harder
than handle. Yeah, yes, the last time that your four grandkids,

(15:02):
for some reason, always I don't know why, they make
me the focus of the villain.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Whenever we're all together.

Speaker 6 (15:08):
It's almost like they're like, Papa's had enough, let's go,
let's go after this new guy. Yeah, and and so
uh and and I ended up being, for some reason
the focus of their of their continued capture and and
all of that. And I found out the last time,
I guess that was Thanksgiving, that he was he's getting
a little harder to handle.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
He is, both of them. The boys.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Like, and it's my fault. It's our rough house with them.
Sure you do, like you know you leaving, Hey, come
give me a hug. So Ellis came, gave me a
hug and then gave me a shot to the gut.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Yeah, you gotta be ready. And their height is a
terrible hot yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
Yeah, speaking of of a rough house. And Adam, you
okay from yesterday.

Speaker 9 (15:57):
Yeah, yeah, I'm good and my voice isn't like that
because of Joe Siah.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I forgot about Can I tell you after that got
you put you in the chill cold? It was in
the box seats. You've been talking like that ever since.
Maybe it is because it's just yeah, Terry.

Speaker 8 (16:13):
Terry got to laughing last night. She was looking at
her phone. So what are you doing? She said, I'm
I'm looking at your your Instagram story of the video
from my perspective, Adler, that was funny, Yes, it was.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
I gotta tell you.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
We had a big day yesterday. Great complimented me.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
After the show.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
He goes, hey, man, great job. I go, dude, you
ran through a wall of duct tape. Today.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
We got physical. It was a physical a physical comedy.
The people couldn't say it. But that's fine.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
But I think that, and I'm gonna hear it from
the guy and you know, in in Spartanburg.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
But that's fine.

Speaker 8 (16:47):
Look and then we but we we have that moment.
Then we try to put it on our Instagram stories
or stuff and.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Go, hey, this is what it looked like. You you
ought to hear you know what? Here another day that
has I called a hammer down. Yeah, at this point
it's a little better. But the first shot is we
came in. The thing was not.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Do you all agree though, that this is this is
the kind of stuff, This is the kind of stuff
that makes people think we don't really work for a living. Yeah,
I mean you realize we do things in here that
hr would be called Yes, I mean in any other office,
the would be people at meetings being fired.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yeah. I like the little comments though.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
The video ends when he's going back into his room
and you go, well, I thought you had him at it.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Say great, I said, not only him this years ago.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
I actually thought a guy with no arms legs. Yeah, correct,
and he defeated me.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
But he was a pro though.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
Oh yeah, and people and you kept telling us so
sometimes the things that well, sometimes the things that look
to us to be, you know, obstacles to overcome, actually
become weapons. And his pictures were weapons.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
He was remember that he was most so you said
you couldn't swallow. No, he mashed my windpipe unbelieving.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
Great that those pinches he cut that windpipe off so fast? Yeah,
tapping buddy, Yeah, yesterday, somebody's asking this pistol paste see
where the Red Hulk.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
In the new movie. Yet he is I don't know
about that.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
He's doing like him as good as the Green Hulk,
but he does he like acknowledges.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
And oh doesn't it? Okay? All right, bottom nowhere near
like the Green one.

Speaker 9 (18:26):
Now, I don't acknowledge the Sheet Hulk.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
I forgot all about that. Yeah, it was a woke disaster.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Something about that, that hoarseness that makes you a little
more edgy, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
And don't get me started on my writer.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who informed
Dipping DUTs that they were not, in fact the ice
cream of the future.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Rick Burches, I'm sorry, you're not.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
You got and they did change that slogan, by the way,
And you know what I say to you, American we
are welcome, certainly an ice little snake, but you're not
the ice cream of the future. Sorry, all right, working
our way back. Still to come on the program today
Jeff Strucker, Army Ranger, Hall of Famer and of course

(19:27):
American Hero, and we'll interview him coming up a little
bit later on in the program. Also for the Week
of Love with Valentine's Day coming up. Boyah do we
have an item you want to consider.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Oh can't wait, that's coming up a little bit later on,
So we'll have that for you as well.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Wednesday, Bible study back today. We start the Book of
Job today and it's one of the I mean, right
out of the gate, we are giving access to a
scene that has been one that has caused much discussion. Uh,
and it'll be right out of the gate today. So
that's at noon Central, one o'clock Eastern. The archive out later.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
How about let's let's give Jelly Row a little pat
on the back.

Speaker 6 (20:10):
Let's give Jelly ro a little paw boy Jelly Jelly
Row hits weight loss milestone after dropping over one hundred
pounds one hundred. Now, this this this one thing that
I'm looking at though, and hey, I'm.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
I'm so glad.

Speaker 6 (20:27):
What what a what a story you are, Jelly, What
a story you are, and what a talent you are. Okay,
I just don't think you're going to ever get to
the half marathon. I look said, I just want I mean,
I said, now he's he's.

Speaker 8 (20:40):
He's obviously not going to run it, but now he
could walk.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
There's a Yeah, there's a headline here that I do
take issue with thirty I'm going to read this headline
to you and see if anybody I just it seems.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
A little, just a little off.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Jelly Row sets his sights on a half marathon after
and here's where I question, after running his first five k.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Running walking, did he run part.

Speaker 8 (21:09):
Of it thirty ten like you're talking about I still
he's making progress.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
He's making progress. And it wasn't just kind of large.
He's forty now, by the way, let's celebrate Jently he
was and no, he sent me in watching. I just
want us to stay because we're in the world now,
we're you know, we don't really live in the real
world anymore, and we'll just say things. Yeah, here's another one.
I think I'd like to have been there. He explained

(21:36):
that he recently climbed the mountain.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Kim Joung Young.

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Right, he's probably Ridge, and he said, he said, I
wouldn't have been able to do that before losing weight.
Didn't congratulates. I would like to see the mountain. That
just curious.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
I'm still proud of him, no matter if it's a mohill.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
I hiked him ountain the other day and he called
the mountain and I'm not familiar with it in Arizona Camelback.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Oh okay, so I.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
But but again, I think I would have liked to
have seen if the word climbed, hiking, running the height.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, I did some hiking, and it wasn't all on
level ground.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
It's no adventure running. Yeah, no, he he says. And
now I do agree with this. Let hey, Jelly, I
know the struggle brother, he said, it is a struggle.
It's not always easy to maintain a positive outlook. Hey,
I bet, hey, I know, I know. I live the struggle.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Brother. I do.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
And he says that that people motivate him to keep going.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
I found that to be true too, apparently. No, no,
we're not. We're not.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
I just I just want to be sure. I think
it's okay to say which this. We can say congratulations,
no doubt. I'm doing a little better and I've dropped
substantial weight. Yeah, and I've addressed my health problems. And
he's moving more than he's ever moved, and he's really
moving forward.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
Okay, great running. Oh my goodness. Now big dank, big
big dank, big Dank's not into this.

Speaker 7 (23:11):
Now.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
She just wants you to get her bigger chairs and
bigger automobile.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
So that Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll did a collaboration.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
That's a really good song.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
So see this is that we knew something you didn't know.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Huh, I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
I just frown this out.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Here's the kind of inconsistency that I'm talking about. So
here he is.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Here, we sound like this all day speed.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
Here he is talking to Pat McAfee back in November.
Here here's how he described it himself, which I think
that's a more reliable source. Right, I'm down one hundred
and twenty pounds, congratulations, Jelly, which is a lot, which
means one.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Hundred and ten. But okay, I'm down one hundred and
twenty pounds, Okay on tour.

Speaker 6 (23:51):
I have been playing basketball and these are Jelly's own words,
and going.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
For walks okay, and it's all good. That's great. I
have a nutritionist with me on tour.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
By the way, that's a big You can never outwork
bad eating. Tried it, imagine trying to try it healthy
on tour. Yeah, no way. So so anyway.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
So he's just moving, just keep moving, he just keep
doing something. Hey, Jelly.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
If people want to say things like you're running something
and you're climbing something, that's okay. Uh, what what you're
doing is working, and we applaud you and congratulations, and
how about this, don't stop, don't go back, keep going.
You know, it's any It's such a better life when
you drop that way.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
You know, Jelly is the character. He's a character.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
And when I first saw him, I thought, well, that's interesting.
Doesn't look much like a star singer normally, which was
kind of refreshing.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
He's got some really good songs, Yes he does. And
every time.

Speaker 6 (24:50):
You see interviews or even when he was the mentor
on the uh maybe it's American ile it was one
of them, the voice or something, one of them. It
seems like a really nice person. Yes he does. You know,
I think he would fit in nicely here.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
He seems very.

Speaker 6 (25:03):
Genuine, Yeah, exactly, and really appreciates where he's at and
knows that. Wow, does does anybody of these internet guys?
It blew up on the Internet people nowadays like, Hey,
I kind of like that, and I like the honesty
of his songs even and I know some people misunderstand
what he's saying, but I really dove deep into because
I actually like his music and I was listening to

(25:24):
his lyrics. He really is being very very honest about
our struggles spiritually too. How we treat Jesus. We only
we only go to him when we need him, you know.
And hey, I admit that I do that too. And uh,
and sometimes I veer off in the things that kill me.
I find myself wanting them more than I know what's right.

(25:45):
I mean, this is all this is all real stuff, man,
it really really is.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Can we hear like four seconds of their that Brandon
Lake song?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
He's never heard it, he's never heard Why? Why is
he obsessed with it?

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Brandon Lake's a legitimate Christian artist?

Speaker 6 (26:00):
And that was my next question? Where's Jelly spiritually? Is
he working on that too?

Speaker 3 (26:04):
I think he seems to be. He seems to be.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
I think he's a Christian.

Speaker 9 (26:07):
But I think Brandon Lake's theology mixed with Jelly rolls
soul as a as some potential here. This is hard
fought hallelujahs.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Ever sounds friend.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Oh, I like that a lot. Thanks for pushing for that.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
That's good and Mark fought Hallelujah.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
That's really good. Well, I like that a lot. I
like that, like that for just one day.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Yeah, that's how I talked about you know what's fun?

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Man of a thousand voices? Your Jelly roll needs to
work an interview with him.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
And he was a rapper. He didn't even know he
could sing, yeah joke. He said he came from a
long line of people who can't sing right. Yeah, and
he had no idea that he could.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Actually.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
No, his style of voice is what I usually like
better anyway. Now, we do have what we call the
Kanye rule here. I know we can we can't go
too far. He's got to be careful.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Jelly's not ready to be in the pool fit everybody.
Let's let's walk down.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
Now the Kanye anything. We need to really look hard.
We were all so excited.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Look, I know, jealous, kind of make a turn. I
know Jelly can get a lot of people to our conference,
but hang on, just to say, everybody way, everybody easy.
If we want to interview Jelly and then other people
will impact the word of God and let him tell
us where he is. I'm good with that.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
But let's not turn him loose now right ready for
that wow super Bowl? No, No, I will tell you
this speaking I'm much much. You know, I'm not even
in these people's league, but the fact that we're in
the entertainment business. When I publicly start talking about that,
I finally made a radical change in my life spiritually.

(27:57):
But I'm talking about and still still growing ill growing.
But at the time, I mean, I was a spiritual
infant and because of the show, people gave me opportunities
that I wasn't ready for. And I remember trying to
get up and I was telling what had happened in
my life. That part I knew, which is fine, but

(28:17):
I remember that, and I remember where I was. And
she did this because she loved me. There was an
older woman who was standing in line talking to me,
and she came up to me and she said, I
want you to know I'm very very excited about you know,
this changing your life, and I'm praying for you. But
I just want to tell you something that I think
you need to hear. And I said, yes, ma'am, and

(28:40):
she said, I do think this is from the Lord.
And I said okay, And she said, you need to
know the Bible better. You don't know the Bible well
enough to be teaching the Bible, and she was right,
and I was like, and I appreciated her telling me that,
and I started working on that because those people that
a lot of times in entertainment, especially secular entertainment, that

(29:01):
have a platform when they come out and we should celebrate. Hey,
I'm now I'm redeemed, and I'm I'm making this profession
of my faith. Sometimes we rush the babies out there
in the battlefield a little quick and and let them,
let them take.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
The word of God.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
Sometimes their theology is not quite right yet because they
haven't learned it, you know. I mean, there's a lot
to learn. Uh, and you know we need to we
need to probably let that sanctification process, uh, you know
work a little longer, you know.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
And I'm not I have no problem with this song.
That's not what I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (29:31):
But let's let's I think it's great because he's there
with another person who's further along with him.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
But let's just you know, let's let's slow walk.

Speaker 12 (29:38):
You know.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
We we've we've made this mistake in the past as
the church, and let's not make it.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
We Uh, We'll be back fifteen minutes to the top
of the alley.

Speaker 9 (29:47):
Says Kanye know that that Jesus was Jewish, because.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
We'll be back.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
More of the Rick Burgess Show rolling along right after this.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
We studied it for years and studied it for a year.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
We don't get it.

Strucker ed to be on with US Army Ranger Hall
of Fame. We'll chat with Jeff later in the program today. UH,
so that is out there. Some of your phone calls
coming up Wednesday. Bible study back Today we start the
Book of Job so that'll be installment number one. Also,
want to pass along something coming up next week. I've

(33:20):
talked told you about the Man Church conferences, so we're
keeping you informed about that. But I do want to
talk about another opportunity that I have coming up next week.
Uh and I have the opportunity to go to beautiful Lexington,
South Carolina. Uh and honored to be asked to be
the speaker. They're at North Side Baptist Church for their
sportsman's banquet and.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Play a little ball and you know a little bit where.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
But anyway, so I'm I'm honored to be there north
Side Baptist Church. I'm hearing for some of you in
Speedy You're going to be you and Andy, Andy Blanks
and less and all that. Guess what somebody sent me
an email yesterday, what hey, man, I'm gonna be in Lexton,
South Carolina. I look forward to to be in there,
and I was honored to hear that.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Don't say it, hey, you are you gonna have any
copies of that book about your dad? No, No, you're not.

Speaker 6 (34:10):
No, man, men don't run in the rain. And I
was like, no, that's just for the conferences. Oh I
thought I thought it was I thought it was out.

Speaker 8 (34:16):
Sorry, guys, see the confusion, Rick, I know, yep, you
couldn't help it.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah, so the answers know there.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
But if you come to one of the Manchers conferences,
you can get in advanced copy until they run out
because I won't stop talking about it. But anyway, so about.

Speaker 9 (34:32):
Your dad a lot yesterday, Rick, because it was raining. Yeah,
I had a lot of errands to do.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
I didn't run. I didn't either tell you what was
talking about it?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
That rain was cold, Yes, it was coming down hard.

Speaker 14 (34:42):
Un you run.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
I didn't run. I didn't run.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Scared, Terry ran, I walked. I took my shirt off,
stood in it. I walked the whole time. I didn't
even pick up. I didn't even pick up. I didn't
even pick up my tempo. You think Jeff Strucker runs,
I ran, friend of the.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I ran, I was getting gas.

Speaker 9 (35:03):
I ran.

Speaker 5 (35:03):
I'm sorry, coach, but he's looking to heaven.

Speaker 9 (35:13):
I thought him yesterday, and I was like, he's so disappointing.

Speaker 7 (35:19):
He is.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
One of those times I was holding a four year
old girl who was freaking out because of the rain.

Speaker 6 (35:27):
Let me tell you, let me tell you what thing
trying to help? He doesn't count, doesn't count, just like
your son sitting over here. I'll tell you one thing
about old Bill Burgess children that was a whole different.
They did hadn't let them do anything. Yeah, so that
that was different. Except Greg and me when we were children. I'
talking about other people.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Children and our sisters, y'all children, not the two of us,
that is two sons. We didn't seem to be able
to penetrate that hard heart.

Speaker 8 (35:55):
Well, you know, we talked about how your dad impacted
the players and everything, and I brought this up up
a lot. But former player JJ Prewett, who also works
with the Fox affiliate in Birmingham, and we do events
with him all the time. He works the Birmingham bull
Uh and Vandy and Georgia Tech were there and backed
in the Bowl season.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
And there was weather that came in.

Speaker 8 (36:15):
And every time I see him and it's raining, he's walking,
and he mentions your dad every time, every time, every time,
And and it was another situation there where we had
rain come in. He's like, I'm not running.

Speaker 15 (36:26):
Well, I'm now sometimes it's raining pretty hard.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
You have to fight.

Speaker 6 (36:32):
Yeah, well no, And we have a friend same way.
And now Dad didn't know this. He would never said
this in front of Dad. But Dad's nickname when he
played ball was bullet and and and some of the
other some of the guys from that era still call
him bullet Where did that or did that come from
him throwing the hat? He had a nickname, I don't remember,
but but some of the they called him bullet and

(36:54):
and so we of course knew that, and we had
a friend that like many you know, it was one
of these things.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
And Greg and I never you'll see this. I was
gonna say, you will see this in the book.

Speaker 6 (37:04):
But the but Greg and I and don't ever think
and it's one thing we always try to clear up.
Don't ever think that Greg and I had some sort
of we missed out on something whatever.

Speaker 7 (37:14):
You know.

Speaker 6 (37:14):
I bet it was tough sharing your dead with all
these people. No, it really wasn't he cost the way
he handed it, but we did. He was a dad
to many people, not just to us, and but that
was fine.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
It was No, he didn't neglect us or anything like that.
We feel like everybody's got our sister or dad and
sometimes we don't none of that. We ain't got any
daty issues.

Speaker 6 (37:34):
Okay, Now we may be strange because our dad was
apparently was not normal. Uh, and we thought we were
raised normal, But we never had any sort of you know,
sit down, let me talk up my dady issues with something.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
We were way more scared of mom.

Speaker 6 (37:47):
We were him absolutely and his dad's balance of all
this was just he did it perfectly. I mean, he's
not a perfect man, don't hear me say that. But
as far as the way you handle the things that
would normally be obstacles. He didn't let him become obstacles.
He coached us that.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Was not a big deal. Didn't talk about it at
home now, So anyway, we didn't have He wasn't our
coach at home and all that garbage. But anyway, so
i'd but remember our friend who he was a father
figure too.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
Would would he said to this day, he said, I won't.
I won't run in the rain. And he calls it
pulling a bullet a bullet. He goes, look when that
rain comes, he goes, I'm I'm I pulled a bullet
all the way to the car and uh. And he
was one of the first ones that brought it to
my attention when we were little boys. He was kind
of like, you know, I remember us looking like he's
not even he's not even picking up a tempo.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
You know, and you get real wet doing that, right,
you will.

Speaker 6 (38:36):
So so anyway that I'm sorry Ader that you did run,
and I'm glad you thought about Dad though.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
I jogged, But but I think that Dad, I think
Dad would have given you a pass if you had
your little girl.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
I was one of four times.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
Okay, did you run without her?

Speaker 9 (38:53):
Jogged lightly slowly man with in a man type way, okay.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
Like like like a panic, not I'm scared. You didn't
look frantic, did you know. I think that's the whole
thing that Dad's message was, don't look frantic.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
That's that's that's wisdom.

Speaker 6 (39:14):
And if you are going to run and you got
to run a mile, right, that's run a full mile,
don't stop. I'm afraid it goes into that other theme
of Dad's you can't worry about that, Yeah you can.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Yeah, that was a great takeaway too. I can't tell
you how many times if people tell me this all
the time, I'll be doing something else and I'll think
about you and I'll go, you can't worry about that.
I mean, if you spend your whole life, every every
little thing is is something you gotta you can't get past.
You get to the point where you go, I got
to get the job done, and the things that are
making me getting the job done difficult, I just can't

(39:46):
worry about that, right That doesn't mean you can't get
back to it, but you can't worry about it right now.
That has example of standing in that bed, I thought
it was extreme. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (39:56):
You see what you actually need to worry about that apparently.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
So we'll be back.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
Top of the hour much to cover the winning continues
with the Trump administration.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
We'll give you some updates on that.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
A lot of odd stories out there again to day too, well,
we'll update you on that. And of course we mentioned
we also have Jeff Strucker coming up a little bit.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Later on on the program on top of the hour.
You got the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
You better listen up. You know what we say.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
You gotta find.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Broadcasting from the The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
Keeping it real for another day. Thanks for being with us.

Speaker 6 (41:06):
The gang all here speeding, Greg Andler, thank you for
being with us today. As we move forward the text line,
which is super active AD eight age six two four
four eight six ' nine. Here's some of the things
from last hour. People saying, okay, great, now I've got
to walk in.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
The rain from the gym. Here's another one. Everyone's listening
to the show. Everybody is now walking in the rain
to their vehicle. How about this. Here's a woman that says,
you know what, even though I am a woman. I
needed to hear the.

Speaker 6 (41:38):
Wisdom from Coach Burgess today. Can't worry about that now,
So thank you all for that. Also, a lot of
you putting some strange things up there about Jelly Row. Okay, wow,
I don't know enough of that.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
I don't condone it or know.

Speaker 6 (41:53):
I just thought that Jelly Row had lost a lot
of weight and anything tried to encourage you, and he
sang a song I thought was pretty good. I certainly
don't know anything about Jelly Row, and I don't know
some of the things you are accusing are even true
or not. Seems like that would be a little more
prominent out there in the record, especially if somebody invited
him to come to a Christian song.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
But you never know. Sometimes some of these faith based
songs don't. You don't know much about it anyway, But anyway,
thank you for all that. Also, here's someone saying, I'm
loving the new show, but I find myself sometimes when
I'm telling people about it, called it calling it the
Rick and Burgess Show. That's fine, but that's close enough. Club,
We'll take that. Yeah, that's that's definitely close enough. Some
updates today coming up.

Speaker 6 (42:37):
We have something that's going to take your Valentine's week,
and I think it's gonna turn in on the die,
you know.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
So we've got that coming up.

Speaker 6 (42:43):
Speedy's he's look, we're Speedy's got a lot going on today.
It's his wife's birthday and it's one of those biggies
five oer today, so he's got that on him and
Valentine's Day. So Speedy's he's got two things that he's
really worried about today. Everything going well with his wife's
birthday and whether Jeff Strooker will be on or not.
Right those those are the two things that we got

(43:03):
to go in chronological ord.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
I can just see it hanging over with you. Yeah
it is.

Speaker 8 (43:08):
I started the morning early when the alarm went off.
There was no snoozing, and I had to get up.
You better go and get and get better go because
at nine minutes, that's you can get a lot done
in nine minutes. And I had gone and why and
gotten her some balloons yesterday and you can't have nothing.

(43:28):
I mean there are fiftieth you know, birthday balloons and
stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
And I hit him in a room.

Speaker 8 (43:32):
Yesterday, did you that I got got a little you know,
the little weight and the little string and all this
kind of shair you got. I hit him over in
the corner because I knew she she was gonna come in.
She worked late, she was getting home at dinner time.
And I'm like, she's not gonna come go venture off
in room. So I'm just gonna put put them over
in the corner. And the gifts I got her, I
put them in the corner too, with the idea that

(43:54):
I would wake up early, go grab all that, set
everything up in the kitchen, and I'm out. You know,
she sees when she wakes up, she was she wakes
up to this, you know, happy birthday and all this.
And I go up there and and all the balloons
were laying on the floor. They had lost I don't know,
I guess the helium and stuff. They had lost everything.
They were still blown up, but they weren't they weren't floating.

(44:15):
They weren't floating laying on the floor like they let
say hour out. So in a panic, got 't like, well,
now what do I do? I can't just have balloons
just laying all over the kitchen floor, you know. And
so so I cut the string, uh, and then put
the weight down and then put them all on the
countertop like they were all sitting on the counter okay,
you know as and then I got like this Happy

(44:36):
fiftieth string and I'm hanging I'm up on a ladder
in the kitchen trying to hang everything up.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
You know, you really expected those balloons to last longer
than that. I know, it was just like overnight.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
And so I said, I emailed Adler earlier a picture
of and we can get into it. Don't have to
be now, but of kind of what it looks like.
And then the swag Moms. Terry's all of her little
best friends, the little the ladies, and there's a bot one, two, three, four,
five six, about eight or nine of Greece, and they
get together all the time and celebrate each everybody's birthday.

Speaker 3 (45:08):
They might have a dinner or something like that. Hey
and I got her.

Speaker 8 (45:12):
And so they had got a company, and you know
the ones that come up and set up in your
yard and they're like happy fiftieth or whatever, and then
they put stuff.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
All in the yard. Well, they did that late last night.

Speaker 8 (45:23):
And Stacy, one of the ladies that the swag mom
is swagmm of course she said, hey, don't don't shoot anybody.
You're gonna hear some activity late tonight outside your house,
you know, just as a joke.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
But yeah, sure, my goodness, look at this.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
Yeah, and so I woke up. I woke up to
that wag mom.

Speaker 8 (45:43):
Swag moms had hired the company that does this, and
they No, I didn't do this, No, they did. They
organized this, but they had sent me about a month
ago heads up, Hey we've ordered this.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
This will happen this day. You know.

Speaker 8 (45:57):
Well we knew you didn't pay for it, so you
had nothing to do with well, no I pay. No,
this was just a nice gesture. You pay for this swag. No,
the swag moms did. And they always do that. They
like if it's somebody else's birthday, they'll all pitch you
take credit for it. No, no, no, no, not at all. No,
I'm actually talking about it now, I know. But yeah,
I think you don't think you're here. Yeah no, now

(46:19):
only on the inside.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
I mean I did all.

Speaker 6 (46:22):
And that took You know what she will like about that,
all kid in the sign? Uh, is that you that
took effort? You know you you did? You made it special?
Now that that not look as big an extravaganzas what's
in the yard.

Speaker 8 (46:34):
No, it doesn't, I'll give you that now, but your effort. Yeah,
the balloons were a handle. I was kind of like,
oh no, this is not good.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Balloons need to be guaranteed to last. I knowday. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (46:46):
So this that little fiftieth birthday thing. It's one of
those little sashes. I guess that's what they call the queen.

Speaker 12 (46:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:53):
And so today.

Speaker 8 (46:56):
A very famous restaurant, they're having an office birthday party
for and Jonathan, who also works in the office. It's
kind of a joint deal, and I've told Terry she
has to wear the sash.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
Absolutely.

Speaker 8 (47:07):
She says it's my fiftieth part Absolutely, and she can't
believe it. When I kissed her last night, right before bedtime,
I said this will be the last kiss before fifty
everything else post fifty. She she was last night. We
were running around and she's like, I can't believe this.
This sounds so weird to think I'm fifty years old old. Yeah,

(47:27):
it's just a number, honey, five. Oh, it's just a number.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
You blow rup pasted it.

Speaker 6 (47:32):
Yes, Yeah, the I made the mistake on Sherry's fifty,
then I would not advise this right down that same line,
I said, I'm calling forward this. I never made that
with a fifty year old.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
Yeah. That didn't land the way I hoped it would,
no at all. Yeah, I think we had like a party.

Speaker 6 (47:49):
I think yes we did you remember, Oh yes, fifty
we had to get into a little bit.

Speaker 3 (47:53):
I think she had some kind of crown on or something.
So yeah, thank you. Did you frontwards moonwalk? I sure did.
It's really you want me do that?

Speaker 8 (48:01):
Well, I did get you, guys, And I'm trying to
just just overload the story with Happy Birthday to Terry.
Each one of you cut some video for you, and
I appreciate that. Of course, Adler's was pretty funny. It
is uh And and Greg had declared that if he
makes the shot he was in front of the basketball goal,
then he'll wish your happy birthday. He missed, and but
I just went ahead and wish, and you wish went

(48:22):
ahead anyway, and then I would never.

Speaker 6 (48:23):
Got to because I kept missing. You'd been fifty one
by the time people are wondering on the text. Now,
you didn't get like you know, some people get day
old bread because it's cheaper, right, you didn't get like
balloon balloons that got the displaying.

Speaker 8 (48:37):
I got the balloons they offered, right, and that was
a going out of business sale. But I mean, yeah, balloons,
they were in the package and then they they used
the little.

Speaker 15 (48:47):
Masure and you're talking didn't even make it through the night, no,
And I mean they're just they're just there's they're just
waving so pretty, yeah, you know, and it's got you
gets like confetti inside.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
The balloon and all that, and I'm like, man, this
is awesome.

Speaker 8 (49:04):
You went all out and then uh and then I
walk up there and they're laying on the carpet. I'm like,
what the you can't have I almost started kicking them
in a panic. I cut the string and you know,
they sell the little the little decorated way or something
and and and to where they wouldn't blow off. And
that was a that was a handle. Yeah that's a

(49:25):
good great effort.

Speaker 3 (49:28):
Yeah, great effort. Good display.

Speaker 8 (49:29):
Anyway, We'll have a good time.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
So but I think the day has started good. I'm
trying to overwhelm her.

Speaker 6 (49:35):
Early really, it didn't even feel like you're celebrating Valentine.

Speaker 8 (49:39):
So one thing that I have fumbled is that we're
having a big lunch. But do I take her to
dinner too?

Speaker 3 (49:46):
Or do we who's buying lunch?

Speaker 2 (49:48):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (49:49):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Not mean this is the Rick Burgess show, the man
who poured it out that there is no such thing

(50:09):
as boatless wings. Rick Birches.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
I was ahead of my time, all right, So.

Speaker 6 (50:17):
A lot to talk about, And so Speedy was asking
in the break, does since he's got the lunch and
all this is dinner tonight.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Does it should does it need to take carry out
for dinner?

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Now?

Speaker 6 (50:33):
Remember it's going to be this has to be specifically
for her birthday, only any normal birthday, but now at five, oh,
it has to be Do not try to lump this
in with the weekend and Valentine's Okay, you're right, and
you're saying that she hasn't mentioned that she really wants
to do that, Well take it from me.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
Who you know?

Speaker 6 (50:55):
My wife I thought didn't want flowers, and I was wrong,
by the way, to care of that yesterday? Did you
I need to hear more about that?

Speaker 3 (51:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (51:03):
Well, I just you know what when she went to
get ready for our dinner last night, I mean, you know,
for Monday night on our anniversary.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
So it's a rough month for you with me in Fairborg.
We got a lot going on.

Speaker 6 (51:14):
And but when she went to do that, I called
the people that know the kind of flowers she likes
and her favorites, and I just said, go all in
and if she could get those the next day after
the anniversary, that'd be great. And she she did speak
at luncheon yesterday, so I said, be cool if we

(51:34):
could get those there before she goes to that, and
and how about it all worked out and she sent
me a picture of them, and she was like, thank
you so much for my flowers. I love them. It's
exactly you know and everything, and it was good. I
found myself and in really really great shape.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
Well done, buddy, well done. Look at that run there.
That's display. You think you think cherry Bird just didn't
love those?

Speaker 11 (52:02):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (52:02):
I bet you she did.

Speaker 6 (52:03):
Then we got back from dinner last night. We wouldn't
grab something after not any kind of no romantic thing,
just decided not to cook and came back in and
they were even blooming bigger than that. She was like,
oh they're really coming together now. Yeah, pretty good day
for me. Yeah, So I would I would go ahead
and take her to dinner.

Speaker 8 (52:22):
Yeah, I think so. So the plan are you going
into that or you going to that? Okay, the plan
is And I almost fumbled one other thing. I thought
of everything gifts balloons that apparently don't stay floating.

Speaker 6 (52:35):
But I got some people saying it's the latex balloons
only hold the helium four to six hours.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
I wish I had told me the my lars.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
Yeah, the shiny ones.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
Well four to six hours is not very long. You
think we'd be further along. Yeah, Well they had.

Speaker 8 (52:50):
They had like a little a pack of it was
just fiftieth birthday balloons that were like specifically for that.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
So that's why I bought those. You know, people they
should last long. Yeah, I wasn't told that.

Speaker 6 (53:04):
Give me twenty four hours. I get it now, My
Laura will last a long time. Did you get up
in the power line.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
I have to always remember that my wife is highly
allergic to latex. I have to go my lar only. Hmm. Wow.

Speaker 8 (53:16):
Well it got to be around a little late that
later than I wanted, probably four point thirty to five. Oh,
I mean dinner time. And I thought, wait a minute,
I've done everything, what about a birthday cake? And she's
not a big birthday cake person tradition. Thank you, And
I know that like for the family, we're going to

(53:37):
have a delayed celebration because in the middle of the
week with everybody spread out, I mean, there's nobody around
right now for the family to get together in the week.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
But we still need to have of course, you know,
So what do you do?

Speaker 8 (53:49):
You pick up the phone, call Edgars and I said, hey,
I need to order a cake and lo and behold
Brent Whole who we order cakes from.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
He answered the phone, Brent, Thank you, Bret. He said,
this is Brent, and I went, what do you do?
So he's not the it guy. No, that's bread. That's
bread and he works for us, right, yeah, for some
I think, no, it's Brent. Anyway, He's like, Brett here,
Brent there, right, yeah, I t at Summit Media bread, right,

(54:18):
could y'all please dial that in? I got it?

Speaker 8 (54:21):
Uh, And so anyway, I ordered a cake that I'm
picking up after. Oh, yes, And and he's like, oh, yeah,
that's fine, Yeah, go ahead knock that out. Well, we'll
order it and everything and and you'll be ready for
pick up. So then going to lunch, coming home, we'll
have birthday cake, you know, all that kind of stuff,
make out as well, she's fifty things like that, and

(54:45):
then and then maybe I'm kidding, then maybe go to.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
An early dinner.

Speaker 10 (54:49):
Come.

Speaker 8 (54:49):
Yeah, she has she has her favorite spots that are
close by.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
Yeah, reservation.

Speaker 7 (54:55):
No.

Speaker 8 (54:55):
I think Valentine's of course, will be up in Huntsville
for baseball. But well, we'll figure it out. But I
think that's the plan if.

Speaker 6 (55:04):
You approve now, now, I think that's that's the way
you pizza like Greg because she cannot she cannot be
put on her fiftieth birthday, no matter how much she
says it doesn't bother her. You cannot have her scraming
around trying to figure out which I will know. You
know that can't happen. I mean, what are we eating?
Doesn't even need to come back?

Speaker 8 (55:21):
Yeah, now we're going to the famous Bright Star in Bessemer, Alabama.
That oh yeah, that's where the lunch is for the office.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
Okay, here's what you do.

Speaker 8 (55:33):
And I was told by Terry that they wanted me
to make sure he's he's here, So Scott, we're coming
hurt listen the so well, just Jonathan got a hut
of birthday mind everything.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
But it's not just down the street the thirty or twelve.
That's a big difference. To took mom there for one
of her swashal days. I don't even know.

Speaker 6 (55:52):
I don't know if it was Mother's Day or it
was for whatever. We took there. And let me tell
what you do. Okay this you're just right here. Okay,
it's called the bride Star. Yeah, okay. You take her
after to that sign and you get a picture of
her in front of it, and you talk about that
she used to start today. You know, you put bright
star behind her. Hey, look, I tell you who's the
star today?

Speaker 3 (56:11):
Is Terry on her fiftieth birthday and you have a
picture right in front of the bright store. Okay, yeah,
so put her rut there in front of it. I
turned her front, take video or picture. I'd go picture,
I'd go picture. Picture.

Speaker 6 (56:21):
Now, she'll never approve it and you'll never post it.
But but but but at least you'll have it right. Okay,
she's gonna take you know. They they take their their photos.

Speaker 8 (56:30):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, they get their little fingers and
I tell.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
Who's our bright star today? Baby? Get out here, let's
get your picture, right. They love that, we love it.

Speaker 8 (56:38):
I appreciate y'all cutting the video. Now I wasted my
time and just my three adult sons.

Speaker 11 (56:45):
Oh no.

Speaker 8 (56:45):
I sent a text and I said, guys, just a
heads up because I appreciated this when my dad did
this to me. Heads up, y'all are busy your boss
turning fifty tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
I mess, do not fumble this, don't do it now.

Speaker 8 (56:59):
I stupidly send them a picture saying, hey, cut a
video saying happy birthday mom, and they'll reply at five
pm and it'll be too late.

Speaker 3 (57:07):
But at least I set out there. I didn't do
that on the anniversary. And you know how many anniversary
wishes I got or sharing that got because I don't care.

Speaker 6 (57:17):
We got one, so the others dropped the ball. And see,
dad always gave us a heads up. Gread, you always
give your adult kids a heads up on special days.
They're not going to do it, no, and they and
they mean well, they just they're in that stage of
life where they're still trying to make everything happen. Yeah,
you know, they're not on top of it yet. And
the anniversary is now. Birthday's bigger them. Missing anniversary is

(57:40):
not a biggie, but missing mom's fifty A birthday's huge,
that's a big one. Yeah, you can't, you can't let
that happen.

Speaker 7 (57:45):
No, no, no.

Speaker 8 (57:47):
Someone asked, does my wife call me Calvin or speedy? Questionsly,
it's Calvin, and if I'm in trouble, it's John Cap.
I thought, oh it is, honey, but you know what
I mean, it's it's no, no speedy coming weird?

Speaker 6 (58:00):
That would be And let's face it, yeah that's not great.
Sure unless you need you want to race day? Yeah,
but maybe I don't know.

Speaker 5 (58:20):
I know, y'all.

Speaker 8 (58:20):
I know y'all's wives always ask you what's wrong with you? Yes,
because mine does.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Mean that's been the majority of our conversation. Last night.

Speaker 8 (58:27):
I was getting ready to go to bed and she
was still doing so I was like, I come here
and she's like what I said, final kiss at forty nine?

Speaker 3 (58:34):
Okay, you know tomorrow you'll be fifty, right, you know?

Speaker 1 (58:37):
And what's wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (58:39):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 5 (58:40):
Right, pony?

Speaker 3 (58:42):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 5 (58:43):
Honey?

Speaker 10 (58:48):
Well?

Speaker 6 (58:48):
We got called up by our adult children that shared
and I call each other babe too much? I could
could you'll do a little less calling each.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
Other, babe, yeah, a little less babe, Hey babe, come here,
Hey babe, Hey babe, Hey babe.

Speaker 6 (58:58):
And I never realized we do that lot, and for
some reason they're nauseated by it. So if you can
get Terry to call you honey in front of the boys,
would be great, all right, the bottom of the hour,
Happy birthday, Terry Wilburn, good day.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Can I can fright start to my father?

Speaker 3 (59:15):
No, we don't want to get sick.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the show that would
make it against the Woolves to wear duplicate numbers in football.
The Rick Burgess.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
Show made it.

Speaker 6 (59:39):
All right, So a lot to do still going forward
on the program. You miss any part of the show,
don't forget go back and catch the archives. Every day
on our podcast channel, our YouTube channel Blaze TV, you
get a best of hour. The podcast channel also has
a best of hour every day if you have wong
just a nutshell. So Today Wednesday, Bible Study back. We

(59:59):
start new series the Book of Job. So very very
interesting right out of the gate, obviously if you're familiar
with this book of the Bible. So we'll start that
today noon Central, one o'clock Eastern on The Rick Burgess
Show YouTube channel. The archive available on the podcast and
YouTube channel as well, coming up not long after. All Right,
so a couple of things I'm dealing with America. So

(01:00:22):
we keep winning Elon Musk and is it DOGE?

Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
So how you say it? The Department of Government Efficiency?
It's a good X. Follow by the way, there's a
lot going on there.

Speaker 6 (01:00:37):
So Elon Musk was in the Oval Office with President
Trump yesterday, and it is interesting to watch all the
government waste that Elon's team is finding, watching some politicians
act like this is a bad thing. And then, as
we heard yesterday, to the point that we even have
some and I use the term minister loosely, ministers out

(01:00:58):
there telling their congregation that Elon Musk is going to
get their Social Security check. Of course that's not true.
But anyway, here is Elon Musk in the Oval Office. Uh,
and he's he's been doing Trump's doing some executive order
signing too, But there it is. And he's got one
of his kids with him exactly. And the kid is

(01:01:20):
not any kid that age, he's you know, he's probably
bored with this, but.

Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
A few kids.

Speaker 8 (01:01:24):
Yeah, I thought Elon handled it well because he's crawling
all over him.

Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
Yeah. So here, here, here we go.

Speaker 13 (01:01:29):
If there's not a good feedback loop from the people
to the government, and if you have the rule of
the bureaucraft, if the bureaucracy is in charge, and then
what meaning does democracy actually have. If the people cannot
vote on hope they will be decided by their elected
representatives in the form of the President and the Senate

(01:01:50):
in the House, then we don't live in a democracy.
We live in a bureaucracy. So it's incredibly important that
we close that feedback We fix that feedback loop and
at the public the public's elected representatives, the President of
the House and the Senate decide what happens, as opposed
to a large unelected bureaucracy.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Yeah, absolutely, Rocky lizard man, Greg, I know your concerned.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
He's not a lizard, Greg, he was autistic. He's not
a lizard.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
So now we go to this next one. And this
is the thing about the people's voice.

Speaker 6 (01:02:25):
And I love what sagging, Greg, I know concerns you,
and that is once we elect these people, that's our voice.
But we also need to have a say on how
our tax money is spent. And I know some of this,
there has to be a trust and a faith in
the system. But when Elon Musk and his team, which

(01:02:48):
I don't know why we're just now doing this, goes
in and says, well, we have uncovered how your money
is being spent and you sent us here to resolve that.
So we're going to so listen with Elon Musk says,
this is what the people told us to do.

Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
So here he is.

Speaker 13 (01:03:05):
The people voted for major govement reform. There should be
no doubt about that. That was on the campaign. The
President spoke about that at every rally. The people voted
for major government reform. And that's what people are going
to get. They're going to get what they voted for.
And a lot of times that you know people that
don't get what they voted for, but in this presidency,

(01:03:26):
they are going to get what they voted for.

Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
And that's what democracy is all about.

Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
What I'm talking about, that's it.

Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
So now let's look at some of the things that
have been exposed. So the Trump and Elon Musk cutting
up this team, they've exposed that the X and I'm
glad that that it's X. Now, Usaid Chief Samantha power
had accumulated a thirty million dollar net worth over a

(01:03:53):
matter of years when her salary, Greg you pointed this
years ago. Her salary is one hundred and eighty thousand.
It's a good salary, but that's really not enough to
have accumulated thirty million dollars in that short amount of time.

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
So here here is the update on that.

Speaker 13 (01:04:08):
And also could you mention some of the things that
your team has found, some of the crazy numbers, including
the woman that walked over with about thirty million.

Speaker 10 (01:04:18):
Right.

Speaker 13 (01:04:19):
Well, we often we do find it sort of rather
odd that, you know, there are quite a few people
in the pre obviously who have ostensibly a salary of
a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to accrue
tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they
are in that position, which is, you know what happened

(01:04:41):
to usaid, we're just curious as to where it came from.
Maybe they're very good at investing, the approach case we
should take their investment advice, perhaps, but just there seems
to be mysteriously they get wealthy. We're don't why where
did they come from? And I think the reality is
that they're getting wealthy touch per expense, that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
So yeah, yeah, it's green. All I can do is
watch his kid play. I know, Greg, we're just trying
to get the information. Points on his shoulders. We just
want the information. I mean, I love kids, Greg, Some
people in this situation maybe something just like a nanny.
He could afford that. Yeah, he can set the side there.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
It's trying to be a good dad of.

Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
Twelve. They wanted to come here we go. So did
you see anything? He said?

Speaker 14 (01:05:26):
Did you?

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Like? I kind of did? Did you?

Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
People are saying that lizard is scared of him. People
are saying that lizard people is so twenty twenty four.
It's crab people. Now, Oh is it really?

Speaker 16 (01:05:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
That's on the text.

Speaker 7 (01:05:38):
I do.

Speaker 6 (01:05:39):
I don't understand. Two D got a little moth man.
Uh so, so tell me about this out or what?
What what's going on?

Speaker 7 (01:05:46):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
Yeah this is wild?

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
Yeah yeah, this is crazy speedy something su yes, too much.

Speaker 8 (01:05:51):
So he said that that that they can only with
I guess the federal government or whatever. He's like, there's
people that are working that need to retire. They've got
great pension they you know, will make it work their
wild but we can only retire ten thousand at a time.
And everybody's like, well why he even asked that question, Well,

(01:06:11):
why only ten thousand? And it's because of the system
they use that only allows ten thousand, because of the
the I guess, the workforce that is pushing all the
paper and making this work. And he's talked, he talks
about how nineteen fifties it is that the system that
we use.

Speaker 13 (01:06:27):
Paper and here he is about the most number of
people that could retire possibly in a month is ten thousand.
We're like, whoa, why is you?

Speaker 10 (01:06:35):
Why is that?

Speaker 13 (01:06:36):
Well, because all the retirement paperwork is manual on paper.
It's manually calculated, been written down on a piece of paper.
Then it goes down to mine, Like what do you
mean of mine? Like, yeah, there's a limestone mine where
we stole all the retirement paperwork. That look and you
look at picture of a picture of this mine. We'll
post the pictures afterwards. Now this is this mine looks

(01:06:59):
like something out of the fifties because it was started
in nineteen fifty five, so it looks like it's like
a time war.

Speaker 10 (01:07:06):
Wow.

Speaker 13 (01:07:07):
And then the speed, then the limiting factor is the
speed at which the mind the shaft elevator can move
determines how many people can retire from the federal from
the federal government, and the elevator breaks down. And then
I said sometimes, and then you can't. Nobody can retire.
Doesn't that sound crazy? There's like a thousand people that
work on this. So I think if we take those

(01:07:28):
people and say, like, you know what, instead of working
in a mine shaft and carry manilla and oblopes to
you know, with boxes in a mine shaft, you could
do practically anything else, and you would add to the
goods and services of the United States in a more
useful way.

Speaker 8 (01:07:46):
And at dojge own X, he said they were going
to post a picture and they did of the entrance
to the shaft and then where it is and how
you store it and all this kind of stuff. But
apparently because it is not digital, it's all paperwork, only
ten thousand can retire them.

Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
That that's insane.

Speaker 6 (01:08:05):
Well, so many things with the government is so outdated.
I've had accountants tell me this when dealing with taxes
and all of that, and I think it's so refreshing.
No matter how you feel, this should be something that's
so bipartisan. It's time for we the people to get
the information from the government and demand that they be

(01:08:25):
more efficient with our tax money that we go out
and earn, and they take that's a bipartisan comment. We
should all and people are putting on the text option.
Listen to how quiet the press is. I think they're
stunned and they don't even know what to do with
this information. And this Speedy said, if you follow them

(01:08:46):
on X they're putting out every time they discover waste.
And if it doesn't anger you, no matter your politics,
it should anger all of us. The things that this
Department of Government efficiency is finding out on behalf of
the people, Republican, Democrat, independent, on, behalf of the people.

(01:09:07):
We should all demand that our tax dollars not be squandered,
not be pocketed. And if there's a way that we
could get ourselves out of this incredible debt, and one
way to put a den in it is just be
efficient as the government. As we've said a thousand times,
you've heard people say we do not have a revenue

(01:09:29):
problem with our federal government. We've got a spending and
efficiency problem. And this is being really really brought out
into the light right now, and we should all be
thankful for that.

Speaker 8 (01:09:43):
He said that they discovered that folks that are one
hundred and fifty years old are getting Social Security payments.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
One hundred and fifty say, we can't have that. Let's
just waste.

Speaker 8 (01:09:54):
Somebody that watched mail come in received one point five

Speaker 6 (01:12:06):
Are some other things that we have not discussed, and
there's so much more still to come on the program,
including Jeff Struker and we may change your Valentine's Day
completely next hour. Uh and uh and so we've got
other things coming up. Have the Jets given Aaron Rodgers
an ultimatum? So he was on the Pat McAfee show.

(01:12:30):
By the way, was Pat McAfee dressed up as that
principal in the same bow commercial?

Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
Wasn't that him?

Speaker 7 (01:12:37):
And it was?

Speaker 6 (01:12:37):
I for even forget what it was about. It was
they ran a couple of different ones. There was a
principal at a high school and he was really missed
that one.

Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
What he was real? Goofy? Was that Pat McAfee.

Speaker 9 (01:12:47):
I think it was.

Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
So you don't know what ad it was. I can't remember.
I can't remember. I can't remember. Not gonna ask ad
Ler he didn't seen any of them?

Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
No, he didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
I don't remember, but you're right, I think it was. Yeah, So, uh,
it's starting. There's there's a murmur campaign that the Jets.
Yes he was no, Okay, So Pat McFee was the
crazy principal.

Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
Is any principal principal pat Yep, Yeah, yeah, that right there.
Did you see those commercials? I did, and I didn't
see that. What was the product?

Speaker 11 (01:13:19):
It was?

Speaker 3 (01:13:19):
Tune in after halftime? Yeah, I don't remember what the NFL.
Maybe I can't remember.

Speaker 8 (01:13:26):
Yeah, And when I think that, I just I just
could tell by the person I said. I think that's
why he sounded Yeah, if you haven't seen it didn't
look like him. They got him all this, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:13:35):
So so anyway, he's uh, it seems to be that
that the Jets have given an ultimatum. Do you think
there's a validity to think they're done with him?

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's true.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:13:48):
According to reports, he flew in New Jersey to discuss
his future last week and the Jets told him they
were moving on.

Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:13:58):
Oh no, so it's not we need you to make
it decision on what you're going to do. We're making
our decision.

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
And I forget I heard them breaking down how that
affects their sour cap hit they got to take in
all this. I don't know how that works, but yeah,
the one I heard, I mean it was they said
from that, we're not moving on with you. We're going
in another direction. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:14:15):
They said that he he had an unexcused absence from
a mandatory mini camp which turned into that scheduled trip
to Egypt. You know, they didn't like that, and you
know that even though the coach stood by him, but
now the coach is gone, right, yeah, they got to Yeah,
so so anyway, they're they're just saying that things are
changed changed, and they said that he he's not not

(01:14:40):
going to be with them.

Speaker 8 (01:14:41):
Yeah, it doesn't look like that way, and that looked
like DeVante Adams is either.

Speaker 6 (01:14:46):
Okay, so they even said what Adams has had up
that they said that that he wouldn't be he ain't
going to Pat McAfee or nothing.

Speaker 9 (01:14:53):
Yeah, evidently they said, you're not going to be doing
Pat McAfee interviews anymore. You're going to attend all of
training camp. Those were some of the ultimatums and I
guess they both decided to amicably, yep, go different directions.

Speaker 6 (01:15:06):
You know, you're not gonna miss any of you there is,
you're going to attend to every training camp. You're not
gonna be on their goof and off with Pat McAfee.
I guess they're saying, we want you to get here
and get serious and get to work and if not,
see you and if not, well.

Speaker 8 (01:15:16):
You know, he can't go out. He's forty one. Did
you say he've been in the league for twenty years?

Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
In the league for like twenty years. My goodness, that
seemed like that.

Speaker 12 (01:15:24):
So there we go.

Speaker 3 (01:15:25):
I guess. So it was a flag football commercial. They
said flag football. We had a few of them. Yeah, yeah,
why they fired up about flag football?

Speaker 6 (01:15:32):
But why didn't we just promote flag football for women,
which I think is fine and great? Why do we
always have to act like that this girl could get
out there and she was better than the guys.

Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
Why do we do that?

Speaker 12 (01:15:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:15:44):
I just don't know why we do that that that
part's not necessary. Why can't women's athletics just stand on
their own and be celebrated and as they have done,
you know, earn their own audience and on their merit
and all that. But you know, there's always that we
can't quite We just can't quite leave alone. That's not

(01:16:06):
enough for women to be great and their product to
be great. We always have to insinuate that somehow though
they're better than men.

Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
And that part is not necessary. I don't know why
we do that.

Speaker 8 (01:16:19):
The better the men and less the transit is playing,
then the transit better than them. Well, now that should
not be promoted to would you do this?

Speaker 6 (01:16:27):
How many of you have ever been on a commercial
airline and would you ever go as far as to say,
would I would produce money?

Speaker 3 (01:16:35):
And I know speaking you wouldn't. I would produce money
right now to end the misery of this.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
So there's a story today that an airline passenger was
apparently willing to pay the price in order to secure
their desired seat because they suffer from claustophobia. So it
says they were flying Delta, and this was in a
post that was on Reddit, and the person said, I
was offered.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
I was offered to be.

Speaker 6 (01:16:59):
Paid one hundred dollars to move from the aisle seat
to the window seat so this person could sit on
the aisle. They said, I can't be trapped over in
that corner. I'm claustrophobic, And they gave them one hundred dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
To swap seats.

Speaker 8 (01:17:11):
Now, not that I take that, not why they wanted
to move. But when I first read this, I thought
it was you, Rick, because this sounds like something you
would do. Percent sound exactly like something you would do. Yeah,
I would do.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
If you just scoot over a dank, if you'll just
please find somewhere else to sit, you know what I mean? Yeah,
it's Look, let me tell you, when you're on a
commercial airline for a long flight, how you get Now,
if it's a short flight, you can almost deal with anything.
But if it's a long flight, how you end up

(01:17:44):
is big. I mean it is so important.

Speaker 8 (01:17:49):
But if you have that panic feeling like I've got
to stretch my legs, I gotta. I feel locked in
here right I could see somebody going out, I will
I will pay you money to switch.

Speaker 6 (01:17:58):
So you can understand if you suffer from being claustrophobic,
especially if you ever go on an international flight and
have you got those three seaters ready to go that
three seater operation, you end up in that middle seat. Now,
this is just this is just a person that said
it was just two seats. I just I don't want
to be I don't like being over there in that
window area. I like having this all open to me

(01:18:20):
where I can breathe. And I'm willing't give you a
hundred dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:18:22):
A swap seats with me. Yeah. Done. Now I don't know.
I guess that they.

Speaker 6 (01:18:28):
I guess when they went to book their seat, and
you know, because you pick, you can pick your seat.
I guess they just there were no ale seats available.

Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
In some flight in some airline. Can you pick your
seat in all airlines?

Speaker 13 (01:18:40):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:18:40):
You know what You're right? Maybe Southwest you can't. I don't. Yeah,
I don't think.

Speaker 6 (01:18:44):
Yeah, Southwest you probably can't. I know in Delta you can,
but I mean it's got to be available. Yeah, yeah,
so uh yeah, oh no for for being comfortable on
a flight. I think one hundred dollars is a bargain.

Speaker 13 (01:18:55):
Is a bargain.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
Job of the hour.

Speaker 1 (01:19:02):

Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Yeah, what could I do to just turn it around? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:21:01):
And we thought we might have the answer, and so
just stop what you're doing, Okay, what do you to
just stop? And give a listen to this.

Speaker 3 (01:29:16):

Speaker 5 (01:29:16):
I did.

Speaker 8 (01:29:17):
I sent the finished product to Gary and I just
told him he did a great job.

Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Good.

Speaker 13 (01:29:20):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:29:21):

Speaker 6 (01:29:39):
Think to yourself right now and I can do it,
I don't feel good about it. What's what's the what's
the unhealthiest meal.

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
That you've eaten lately? Just think about it in your mind.

Speaker 2 (01:29:49):
Goldfish for dinner last night?

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
Okay, okay, all right? So would you all agree that
with our crazy schedules that eating five servings of fruits
and veggies a day, I'd call it impossible tough.

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
Adlers still has.

Speaker 6 (01:31:19):
Small children, Greg and Speedy have grandchildren, and then three
of us have full grown, adult functioning children out on
their own.

Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
And for some reason, and Speedy.

Speaker 6 (01:31:31):
Was talking about this, there seems to be a little
more leniency with our parents to be open about the
people that we were. And Speedy says that his dad,
he's killing you on this. Oh yeah, and my mom so, mom, mom,
and my mom, yeah, what look now? And granddaddy they

(01:31:51):
love story time, and you know, you interact with your
kids and you're adult boys and twenty twenty three, twenty eight,
and you're talking to him and every nine and then
something comes up and you say something to him.

Speaker 7 (01:32:06):
And uh.

Speaker 8 (01:32:07):
And the other day we were actually it was a
it was uh, Terry, UH and and JC. We were
all on the phone together. He was updating this on something,
which was hard to believe. We were in shock.

Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
He was updating. Yes, it is shocking.

Speaker 13 (01:32:19):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (01:32:20):
And if you have a twenty three year old that's
in college, every one of you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Absolutely, Uh.

Speaker 8 (01:32:24):
And he, uh, anyway, we wrapped up, you know, because
they've got a they got a pretty extensive week. They
opened up conference play this weekend. And I know he's
you know, got class and stuff and and we just
ended the you know, wrapped it up and said, hey man,
you know, have a good week, keep working hard, and
uh make good decisions, all right, Bud.

Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
He goes like what, He goes, don't worry that I
won't do anything you've done.

Speaker 2 (01:32:46):
Oh what?

Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
And I said, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Whoa?

Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
I mean granddaddy? You know, I said what what do
you what about? Granddaddy? And I said, what are you
talking about? What I've heard about some of your stories?

Speaker 2 (01:32:59):
And I'm like, until you.

Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
Have a good week, they clean, you know, just build
up to the weekend. Sure, what do you mean? He
told me that the time you got carried to the
front door carry? Like, wow, what are you talking about?
The line over the line carry to the front door.

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
What do you mean?

Speaker 8 (01:33:24):
Now here comes Terry, you know, she gets giggling, and
I'm like, everybody thinks this is funny.

Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
What you were talking about? Greg asked the question when
you were injured just physically?

Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
I couldn't walk.

Speaker 8 (01:33:33):
I was terribly And then I'm talking to Reese and
he had a little getaway and they were wanting to
rent you know how you can rent these razors or
mopeds or whatever, and then you have but you have
to put your car up for collateral, you know, because
they don't want you just riding off with that, you know,
so they want your identification, insurance information. You might even

(01:33:54):
have to put your title up for your car. Some
of these places, you know, they want to protect them.

Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
That's crazy. And I said, uh.

Speaker 8 (01:34:00):
And we were talking and they were about to go
do something and he, uh, he said, yeah, we're thinking
about doing I said, well you be careful.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
Read that fight in print.

Speaker 8 (01:34:07):
He goes, yeah, I say what he said, ran da
time you almost had the title taken from your your
car because you wrecked a moped and Panama City and
I said, what.

Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
Is He control.

Speaker 3 (01:34:23):
To the door again and he said is that true?
And they don't all talk like that, but uh and
I said, uh.

Speaker 8 (01:34:28):
Well, yeah, I said, but everybody, I mean, he was
fine and he was just a little bit of a
He said, you you cracked it almost in half because
you hit the wheel of a park car. And I'm like, well,
that did happen, but the brakes went out, you know,
but back then, back then, you had to put your
car up, and they almost kept my hond to prelude
right now, only only one light work. And I know

(01:34:50):
that it was always winking at you, but I get
that in a major handle, you're.

Speaker 3 (01:34:55):
Telling us that the brakes went out on the moped?
Is that what you want to Is that what you
want to say? Hit the wheel.

Speaker 16 (01:35:04):
The car?

Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
Sounds like when he busted that porcelain doll, very similar.

Speaker 8 (01:35:10):
And and I've just realized a theme that when I
start talking to my boys about life, they always then
now we're throwing granddaddy stories on No, you can't And
I know my dad can't see, but he can hear.

Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
And I know, Dad, you hear about it. And you're
a great storyteller teller, okay, And Nana, I know what
I know about you too.

Speaker 8 (01:35:33):
She'll get into you know, she'll she'll you know, she'll uh,
she'll go ahead and talk about you and everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:35:44):
Oh yeah, no, she's not telling them story.

Speaker 13 (01:35:47):
I may not.

Speaker 3 (01:35:48):
Time I caught call that is way over the line.
Don't you be making out with your girlfriend?

Speaker 8 (01:35:57):
You know, she'll say stuff like that you got to
be and they just think it's the funniest things that
in their recliner is just a cackling just like, what
do we do if you are and don't let him
talk to aunt Lynn because apparently aunt Lynn's like Greg,
she can remember when she was three and she forgets nothing,
and so she's got all kinds of stories, you know,

(01:36:19):
all kinds of Wait a minute, so right now, and
if they ever go down to Pensacola and hang out
with them, they come back with every story in the
world that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:25):
Is a foul, that is a ma. You can't your
mom and dad and your sister all just and they
just take the funniest thing ever. I mean, but because
you still don't.

Speaker 6 (01:36:36):
Need to go do that right from the setup, though,
do you see that this has grossly increased as your
sons have become young adults.

Speaker 8 (01:36:46):
Definitely, definitely Now they're kind of and Reese is is
semi out on his own. He's living within because he's
working in hunts for it, but he's still comes when
he comes home. He didn't have his own place, but
he's still paying his own bills and on his own.
It's just he's still kind of under it, but they
would speak. But you've seen, yeah, did it with your kids?
The age they are now, they seem to be more

(01:37:07):
open with their stories, right, Yeah, one time, miss you
should have seen stop you do it? And you know me,
if I'm ever there, I try to overpower them. You know,
you gotta go.

Speaker 3 (01:37:25):
So now now my boys are throwing that on me
all the time, and it's not all at once. It's
funny stuff, you know what I'm saying at different times.
But look, clearly, what's just saying? Do as I say?

Speaker 13 (01:37:37):
Not?

Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
What is I saying about this? Just tell them, yeah,
I made something I do.

Speaker 6 (01:37:41):
I made some bad I made some bad decisions and
I can tell you those are wrong decisions.

Speaker 1 (01:37:45):
And that's what I said.

Speaker 3 (01:37:47):
I said, Well, this is experience, this is life's experience.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
You not to do that song.

Speaker 1 (01:37:51):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who informed

(01:38:14):
given dogs that they were not in fact the ice
cream of the future. Rick Birches.

Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
This duma job, this doom my job. All right, So
we're back. Still, come on the program. Jeff Strucker will
be with us.

Speaker 6 (01:38:31):
He will be joining the Man Church conference over in Atlanta,
and you can find those details at the Manchurch dot com.
He'll join Scott Dawson, Pastor Landon Dowton, Andy Blanks, and me.

Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
Chuck Hooton will be leading worship there. That's the twenty
eighth of February.

Speaker 6 (01:38:52):
In March first Panama City, you're next week with then

Cooton also leading worship. Those two still remain. Find those
details at Themanchurch dot com. Also next Thursday, Lord Willing,
I have the honor to speak at the Sportsman's Banquet
and beautiful Lexington, South Carolina at north Side Baptist Church.

(01:39:14):
Find those details at Burgessministries dot com under events as well.
Looking forward to seeing all of you that are attending
there in South Carolina. All right, so we've updated you
on a number of things today. If you have missed
any of the show, be sure you go back and
get the daily archive.

Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
I mean we have. Hey, we've run.

Speaker 6 (01:39:35):
Ala and I were talking about this yesterday and we
were talking about how much we get done, how much
content we go through before people a lot of people
even start to day. I mean we have knocked a
lot out. Yeah, by the time that your day is
just barely starting. We're at the end, almost at the
end of our day. And boy, we've been through a
lot early early bird, and so all right, so let's

(01:39:58):
talk a little bit. You know, we have all this
declassification that's going on involving you know, doctor Martin Luther
King Junior, his assassination, COVID nineteen and the origins and
UFOs and and we'll get something on that here in
a minute. But in course JFK his assassination and all

(01:40:19):
that nine to eleven. But right now there's one that
I think probably has some of the elites most nervous.
Glenn Beck is about to talk about this. He's our
Blaze TV brethren. He says that at the Epstein files,
he thinks they're going to drop in the next ten days,
next ten days. So here's Glenn Beck with Blaze TV

(01:40:42):
talking about that.

Speaker 18 (01:40:43):
And in the next ten days, you're going to see
the Epstein file released in the next ten days, next,
next ten days, you think in the next days going
to be released?

Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
Yeah, and what kind of information you have to be
able to be that's certain about it?

Speaker 18 (01:40:58):
I plead the fifth in the next ten days, ten days,
stop it next ten days. You're teasing millions who want
that day number one, Cash Betel walks in. By the
end of the day, it will be released.

Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
Please, did Cash Hotel get confirmed yet?

Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
Did r f K get confirmed yet? Not yet, none
of them, not Senate.

Speaker 18 (01:41:20):
Yeah, so as soon as he's confirmed his first day,
it will be released.

Speaker 3 (01:41:26):
And so he has been confirmed since that video. Okay,
so it.

Speaker 7 (01:41:31):
Is he.

Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
I thought, I thought, yeah, I thought, I think he is.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
Yeah, well I know it's house. But then it has
to go to the Senate.

Speaker 3 (01:41:44):
Yeah, maybe not. I don't know. Maybe it was speaking
of cash. You're speaking of cash, your dad telling me
a story about you. You had a bunch of one dollar. Hey,
I wouldn't doubt it.

Speaker 8 (01:41:58):
Now my boys, now now they just come in and
sit down the.

Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
Couch and go tell me another one. Well, see, this
is gonna be okay, he's not. Okay, this is.

Speaker 6 (01:42:06):
Gonna be I'm sure, thank you. This is gonna be
the version. There are so many people that are out
there right now. This Epstein thing is going to be.
Oh that it is going to be a Debbie Debbie Downer,
you know, I mean they're like, all right, I thought
this was put away this was in my past, and
in all fairness, some of them may be completely different

(01:42:27):
human beings now, but it's going to be it's gonna
be ugly.

Speaker 3 (01:42:31):
You're just saying that different human being on your back. Okay,
thank you very much, so your children can here.

Speaker 8 (01:42:36):
Back to Cash, I saw in an interview with him
just talking about Adam Shift alone about how he was
involved with investigating the Russia hoax and collusion and all
this kind of stuff, and he knew and then and
then Adam Shift he saw the same documents that Cash
and the others were seeing, but was purposely going out
on the media and lying about it. Yes, And he

(01:42:57):
said that that needs to be investigated just on its
own because he knew he was lying the whole time,
and we did too.

Speaker 3 (01:43:04):
But it's just.

Speaker 8 (01:43:06):
Another it's another example of that whole Russia collusion.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
You know, This Steele dossier is what Cash exposed.

Speaker 9 (01:43:14):
There was a discredited document central to the Russia investigation
of President Trump, and they used that to investigate Trump.

Speaker 8 (01:43:21):
For right, and they knew it was a lie the
whole time. They were talking about it, all right.

Speaker 6 (01:43:26):
So next we will this is Representative Anna Paulina Lunar Luna,
and she's going to lead the task force on the
declassification of Federal's secrets. And she's going to let us
know what all it's going to include. And it is
a hey, quite a list. I hit some of it,
but here's the list right here.

Speaker 19 (01:43:44):
He committed to declassifying the files concerning the assassinations of
President John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and doctor Martin
Luther King, Jr. A decision not just monumental, but pivotal.
It is with profound honor that I have been entrusted
by Speaker Mike Johnson and Chairman James Comer, to lead
the House Force or at the House Oversight task Force
on declassification of Federal secrets. Together with the help of

(01:44:08):
the White House, our intelligence allies, the Department of Defense,
the Department of Justice, we'll be conducting investigations into the
following the assassinations of JFK RFK and Doctor Martin Luther King.
Unidentified aerial phenomena also known as UAPs, and I've identified
some merged objects also known as USO's, the Epstein client list,

(01:44:30):
the origins of COVID nineteen, and the nine to eleven files.

Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
He Hello, wow, Hey, I'd like to know about a
lot of those real.

Speaker 8 (01:44:42):
Yeah, that's so hey, all right, So are we gonna
be able to handle the truth though, ah?

Speaker 9 (01:44:47):
Or is it going to be all They're going to
publish it and then it's just going to be redacted, redacted, redacted,
just black highlighter everything.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
Hopefully not.

Speaker 3 (01:44:54):
That's probably what's going on.

Speaker 6 (01:44:56):
So she goes on to say that she personally believes
then the two gunman deal with JFK.

Speaker 3 (01:45:02):
She gets shirt, Okay, here she is.

Speaker 19 (01:45:08):
Our first investigation will be announced, but it's going to
be covering on a thorough investigation into the John F.

Speaker 3 (01:45:14):
Kennedy assassination.

Speaker 19 (01:45:15):
And I can tell you, based on what I've been
seeing so far, the initial hearing that was actually held
here in Congress was actually faulty in the single bolt theory.
I believe that there were two shooters, and we should
be finding more information as we are able to gain
access into the skiff, hopefully before the files are actually
really just.

Speaker 6 (01:45:33):
Throwing two gunman out there, just throwing it out there,
throwing it out there. Based on what I've seen, I
believe the two gumman What can you just throw something
like that?

Speaker 5 (01:45:47):
Out there.

Speaker 8 (01:45:48):
But don't you think that there's been so much time
that that they're gonna only let you see what they
want you to see, and so they could have.

Speaker 3 (01:45:58):
Covered it up. Underwhelmed when all this comes out, we'll
go out well.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
I think they're doing okay, So.

Speaker 3 (01:46:03):
You willelmed by everything.

Speaker 9 (01:46:06):
This whole list JFK is the longest one ago, so
I think they're doing that on purpose because it's had
the most time to go by, the least amount of
people will be on the chopping block.

Speaker 2 (01:46:20):
It's a good start.

Speaker 9 (01:46:22):
People have long questioned that theory of the JFK killing,
and so I think it's a great place to start. Granted,
I think there are some more recent controversies that we
should probably focus on more. I think it is a
good start for the public to be able to maybe
take it in.

Speaker 3 (01:46:39):
All right, So I'm going to ask your opinion, guys,
and I think you're accurate on that. Adler. Do you
think that you will be.

Speaker 6 (01:46:49):
Not underwhelmed, but you'll go well when what you discover
about nine to eleven Epstein, JFK, what you've mentioned RFK,
Martin Luther King origins of COVID nineteen, which I think
we already know are UFOs? Which one do you think
is gonna give you something that has the most chance
to give you something?

Speaker 8 (01:47:09):
You go, whoo, Epstein files are going to be Kenny,
That's that's really close.

Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
But then Kennedy.

Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
Yeah, okay, really that's the most shocking one to y'all.

Speaker 8 (01:47:19):
Well, I think because we really know about COVID nineteen origins,
that's a no brainer UFOs.

Speaker 6 (01:47:24):
Every time I know what something UFOs, I'm always left going, well, right,
I'm always underwhelmd by UFOs.

Speaker 3 (01:47:30):
In Bigfoot, Yeah, we're big fright.

Speaker 9 (01:47:32):
Okay, let's say it this way. Nine to eleven you
find out it wasn't inside job. That's just what you're
gonna find out. If this is ifs what would be
the most.

Speaker 3 (01:47:46):
That would be the one.

Speaker 9 (01:47:47):
He's an inside job of nine to eleven. More shocking
than it. Hey, here's a little gray man.

Speaker 2 (01:47:51):
Yes, that's more shocking than.

Speaker 6 (01:47:54):
As something from another planet. We haven't If there's somehow
involved in the nine.

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
To eleven okay, and that makes it double.

Speaker 3 (01:48:01):
I don't know the something.

Speaker 6 (01:48:02):
About what if they released it and there was a
picture of Elon Musk, I wouldn't be surprised I don't
think I'm gonna be surprised in the Epstein deal to
find out that Bill Clinton was a hound.

Speaker 3 (01:48:12):
It was a hound. Oh really, there's a shock the
Bill was there.

Speaker 6 (01:48:16):
Wait minute, some really some really really really influential people
are are sexual deviance.

Speaker 2 (01:48:21):
What a shock?

Speaker 10 (01:48:22):
What a shock.

Speaker 8 (01:48:22):
But I think I think that's gonna be more of
the powerful names on it, Like Wow, I'm gonna warn
you that as far as just a you know how
you get disappointed, you get ready for a little bit
of disappointment on the Martin Luther King Junior things.

Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
I'd like that.

Speaker 3 (01:48:38):
I'd like to ask you may see some things that
you wish you hadn't seen. You know, I've heard some.
Oh yes, we'll take phone calls next a day, eight
the number six, then, big box.

Speaker 1 (01:48:49):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Are you ready to
bring them something into the table?

Speaker 5 (01:49:03):
Cool?

Speaker 1 (01:49:04):
No, and get on the show? What eight eight eight
six big thoughts?

Speaker 3 (01:49:10):
So let's let the people discuss.

Speaker 6 (01:49:13):
I know a lot of you do communicate with us,
and we get a lot of feedback on the text line,
but here's an opportunity to go in more detail and
actually call in at eight eight eight the number six,
Big Box, and let's put this out in front of you. Now,
what do you think here's all this declassification we're about
to have what do you think we're going to find out?

(01:49:34):
And we're going to find out everything they have declassified
or once was classified on nine to eleven. Jeffrey Epstein JFK, RFK,
Martin Luther King Junior, COVID nineteen origins. I think that's
almost like where you bring information to something thereby already
knew UFOs? Which one America? What do you think we'll

(01:49:58):
open up and show things that make us go WHOA?

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
Well?

Speaker 6 (01:50:02):
Which one has the most potential for shock value? Your comments?
Eight eight eight six Big Vox. We go to Tennessee,
Flip standing by Flip.

Speaker 3 (01:50:13):
What do you think?

Speaker 11 (01:50:15):
Hey, good morning. We want to ask y'all. You closed
out the show a few weeks ago with a like
a telephone recording and LBJ basically admitted to the Kennedy play.

Speaker 16 (01:50:28):
Do y'all remember that?

Speaker 3 (01:50:29):
And what we did?

Speaker 7 (01:50:30):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:50:31):
You know, we're like you, we've asked that question.

Speaker 6 (01:50:33):
What it was was a son that was going through
his dad's stuff and his dad was a confidant of
LBJ and worked in his administration, and he found a
recording of a phone call of his either grandfather or
father saying what you just said, Flip that Hey, Johnson

(01:50:55):
wants to have Kennedy assassinated. I took care of it,
and I doing that. I didn't agree with him on that,
but I took care of it. And I remember us
hearing that, and then we never heard anything else. Was
that legitimate? And was it proven to be false? We
just never heard anything else.

Speaker 3 (01:51:12):
Flip.

Speaker 6 (01:51:13):
I'm like you, I don't know that. To me, that's
pretty big. Maybe when this is declassified, we'll see. Well,
there's that, you know, there's that part we talked about.
Anonymous out of Alabama.

Speaker 3 (01:51:25):
Anonymous, go ahead, Hey, I got a UFO story.

Speaker 20 (01:51:33):
I'm like, y'all, I'm just a good old country boy.
But I understand July three, about nine o'clock at.

Speaker 3 (01:51:41):
Night, recent, okay, recent, Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:51:44):
Standing outside I live in in the city. I look
out and I could see the clouds in the sky.
It was kind of clouds coming in if they hadn't
made it to my area yet. And I'm just looking
up and I see these like to ten lights straight
in the line, far off, straight in the line. It

(01:52:05):
wasn't moving, wasn't rotating, and then I could see the
silhouette of a rectangle around those lights, and I'm watching.
I'm like, is that the power lines?

Speaker 7 (01:52:17):
You know that?

Speaker 20 (01:52:18):
I look to think, well, that's just the glimmer off
the pieland note that's higher than the power line. So
as it gets closer, it gets bigger. Then it really
starts getting closer. I would say it probably gets within
a couple of hundred yards from me, and it goes
behind a couple of trees, and I'm looking and I'm thinking,

(01:52:39):
and I see one I'm seeing, And so when it
gets real close, it goes behind the biggest tree and
it just stopped. So I'll run out the front yard
to try to catch it on the other side, and
it is dispute. Then about ten minutes later, I go
grab my daughter come out to tell her what I saw,
and she's like, look at the things, guy. It was

(01:53:01):
way on out there, and it was a it was
a red glow and then all of a sudden, something
just shot out from it and strict an. Oh, I've
never believed in the UFO, but I know I saw
what I saw.

Speaker 6 (01:53:18):
You saw something you didn't know what it was, lights
in the sky, a lot of weird things. I was
kind of pulling for some sort of alien encounter. I'm
not saying it wasn't something that would have got your
attention and whatever, but I was really needed you to
be taking on the ship that kind of stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:53:34):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (01:53:35):
But but it was.

Speaker 6 (01:53:36):
But I understand suddenly a voice, yeah something maybe an interaction,
uh probing something something.

Speaker 3 (01:53:43):
Uh, Mike in South Carolina might go ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:53:46):
Hey, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (01:53:47):
Good?

Speaker 7 (01:53:49):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (01:53:49):
I don't think we're going to find out anything. You know,
maybe they'll throw out some minor player and all of
this stuff to blame something that we already know about.
But if they got up there and started talking about
declassifying the gunners viel treaties, then I.

Speaker 6 (01:54:04):
Did, and maybe maybe we will do that at some point.
Brad the Free State of Florida, go ahead.

Speaker 12 (01:54:14):
That lapped two guys ago. I kept waiting for wine
will pound down after she doesn't listen. I have I
have actually seen two videos online. Now, sure, how you
know deep you got to dig? But remember when JFK

(01:54:36):
got shot, the top of his head went backwards and
his wife climbed on the trunk to retrieve it. Well,
the shooter, the shooter was shooting from the side in
the book depository. Okay, doesn't make sense. And then the
other one is there's another video. Man, I don't know

(01:54:58):
if it's real. I'm not conspec theorists, but the guy
in the front passenger seat, there is a video going around,
black and white. He's got a rifle in his hand
and he kind of puts the barrel towards the back
and then everything happens.

Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
I saw that. Yeah, remember that.

Speaker 6 (01:55:16):
You know, there was once a theory one time that
the that the the Secret Service had been out, you know,
taking some cocktails the night before and uh and what
and what?

Speaker 3 (01:55:27):
The only thing is accidentally show I'm sorry, yeah, and
one of them.

Speaker 12 (01:55:30):
Yeah. But the only thing is how would his wife
approve that? Or did she know? Hey, he's a big cheater.
I just don't care.

Speaker 3 (01:55:40):
Yeah, I don't think the latter is likely. I'm with you.
I I think that they You know, when you know,
it's one thing to be.

Speaker 6 (01:55:45):
Mad at your husband because he's got a wondering eye,
but in the moments of an assassination, assassination and you
watching him be killed in front of you, I don't
think that's what you're thinking. Uh, Billy and Alabama. But
I understand what you're saying, and we're going to find
out something and hopefully Billy go ahead.

Speaker 21 (01:56:02):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
But god, hey, we're good man. What do you think?

Speaker 12 (01:56:06):
Hey, listen, I got three points?

Speaker 11 (01:56:08):
Okay?

Speaker 21 (01:56:08):
Number one, First, I'm astonished how many criminal pathologists we
have in your listening area. Yeah, I mean, you know
that's crazy, all right? Number two, I have the biggest
conspiracy theory of twenty twenty five. You guys ready for it?

Speaker 6 (01:56:27):
Ready?

Speaker 21 (01:56:29):
How are we going to eventually diagnose rich Rick Burgess
with OCD because he's afraid that the garbage bags are
going to get dirty under the sink?

Speaker 3 (01:56:43):
I don't have OCD, and that slight things to be
a certain way. That's what I keep doing. Hey, buddy's
is that what that?

Speaker 21 (01:56:50):
Garbage bags under the sink?

Speaker 12 (01:56:54):
They're gonna get dirty?

Speaker 21 (01:56:55):
Come on, you said we don't even know what's down there.

Speaker 3 (01:56:57):
Come on, man, it's not about getting dirty but something
getting you. You go down there and you rub your
hand up under that sink. You don't know what's under there.
We're scared of. We hadn't been to camp house in
a month and I'm gonna reach my hand under sing
grab around.

Speaker 2 (01:57:12):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:57:13):
As time goes on. I noticed you're scared of a
lot of things. Not scared, cautious. It's different. I don't
put myself in an unnecessary situation. Scared of the dollar.

Speaker 1 (01:57:23):
Now, I'm not scared.

Speaker 3 (01:57:24):
Who said I was scared of the dark?

Speaker 12 (01:57:25):
We did.

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
I never said that you did, so you're not. You
don't have a little bit of anks when you're in
the middle of the woods and you can't see anything.
I hope Jared Hudson's not listening. That's a little bit
of anks. Sorry, Jared. I bet I pushed on through it.

Speaker 1 (01:57:37):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 4 (01:57:51):
Listen up, you know, like we say, you got a fire, The.

Speaker 1 (01:58:04):
Voice of Reason in an Unreasonable World, The Rick Burchard Show.

Speaker 3 (01:58:10):
Yeah, thank you very much.

Speaker 6 (01:58:12):

roll forward and we're excited.

Speaker 21 (01:58:18):

in the program for sure. And thank you. So we've
hit a lot of stories today. Terry Wilburn's fiftieth birthday today,
Speedy's wife. Happy birthday, Terry.

Speaker 8 (01:58:53):
I got a text from her and and I'm off
to a good start. You outdid yourself, honey.

Speaker 3 (01:59:00):
Ok.

Speaker 5 (01:59:02):
You did you just have a little one.

Speaker 3 (01:59:05):
That's good? I said, we just stopping love love love,
a reassuring text. Yeah, I love it. Yeah, it's good
to a good start, good good time. Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:59:14):
I do want to start this hour by informing my
baby brother or something, what's that he's in that mood today?

Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
Watch out?

Speaker 6 (01:59:19):
Yeah, I know you are, and I just want to
tell you, okay, this is you know, we've been brothers
all of our lives, which is usually how the biological
brother thing works.

Speaker 12 (01:59:27):
It does.

Speaker 3 (01:59:29):
I am going to.

Speaker 6 (01:59:29):
Eat one of your Jimmy Dean sausage things, So just
prepare yourself. How are you gonna feel about it? You've
been you've been real protective of them. You've you've tried
I'll bring more than one. You've been trying to keep
keep him away from us, even offering other things. You know,
he's you ever ever try to get a dog way something?
You throw something over here and he'll go after it. Yeah,
he's offering some weird snack today, hoping that we'll stay

(01:59:50):
away from We're all sharing our stuff up here, and
you're not wanting to share these Jimmy Dean instant breakfasts,
and I'm just gonna tell you, just show you.

Speaker 3 (02:00:01):
No, I'm gonna get one.

Speaker 6 (02:00:02):
Here's the deal, Okay, I mean I will have this
speech about how we were on our own right, so
that means we're on our own right.

Speaker 3 (02:00:09):
Well, our wives make stuff that's different. We've done that
and that was great and we shared it. But as
far as just us, yeah, I mean, I I'll give
you what I won't, but I was told to take
care of myself. But we've shared stuff. We got what,
we've shared everything, those little power bars. I got you
some almond milk and some granoda. You ain't touch it,

(02:00:30):
you know what. Yeah, Champion, Jimmy, let me tell you
what I'm gonna do on my broad One of your things. Well,
I'm just that's why only bringing one.

Speaker 6 (02:00:41):
And then I've noticed that he wouldn't even bring multiple
Let me tell you, hey, you got a disappointing day coming.

Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
You know what eggs caused?

Speaker 11 (02:00:47):
Now I do.

Speaker 3 (02:00:51):
That egg's got eggs, got two eggs.

Speaker 6 (02:00:52):
If you keep bringing one today, it's gonna be a
disappointed they come guys. Also, I just told that your
own you, o pal if you if you don't bring
you on, then you do starve. I don't know if
that's exactly what I hate star I noticed.

Speaker 3 (02:01:04):
Another one Rick. You know, have you ever seen Adler's breakfast?
Now it's almost like he's special Forces? Yeah, and speedy too.
Our wives made stuff and I brought in fed. I
figured that covered it. Yeah. Can we can we declassify
his breakfast? Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 9 (02:01:20):
I brought a box and put it in there. Of
Cliff bar brought a bag of beef jerky, and I
bought I brought a bag of fruit.

Speaker 3 (02:01:27):
But you said you didn't like that.

Speaker 2 (02:01:30):
That was the fatties are dog Those are the dogs. Now,
those are the minis.

Speaker 3 (02:01:37):
I haven't eaten because I was doing kind of like
doing speedy.

Speaker 6 (02:01:40):
I don't want to get his stuff, but if I
say I got something, those things are hard to come by.

Speaker 3 (02:01:45):
And there's certain amount of breakfast you're hiding.

Speaker 2 (02:01:48):
I'm living off that and and some spicy almonds.

Speaker 3 (02:01:52):
You'll like pull a bold egg out of your pocket.

Speaker 2 (02:01:58):
Everything else though, well, that's what that's our point.

Speaker 3 (02:02:01):
You're not offering.

Speaker 2 (02:02:03):
I'm not giving y'all every thinking together. Nobody said.

Speaker 3 (02:02:08):
Y'all am I. The only one was that that man.

Speaker 6 (02:02:10):
And then before I knew it, Before I knew it,
we became like similar to the Church of Acts, where
it seemed like everybody was saying, whatever is mine is yours,
and you know, it's.

Speaker 3 (02:02:20):
Just a case, let's just well for you that day.
But I'm just saying, yeah, I'm just saying I was
just preparing your gonna eat one of those Jimmy Dean things,
just so you know that's just rude, right because I
can't get you back because you've got that old game
breakfast you lie, I can't get I can't I eat yours.

Speaker 5 (02:02:39):
Too, No, I won't.

Speaker 3 (02:02:41):
I want you to make him that breakfast Jimmy Dean's
a little too.

Speaker 2 (02:02:45):
Manly for you.

Speaker 3 (02:02:47):
When have you ever had anybody Jimmy Dean's and then
make you let it sounds exactly like a conversation we
had when were kids.

Speaker 6 (02:02:58):
It was you know, make you on that note, I
want to ask you this question this you know, yeah,
we just think weird things. I mean we always do.
Adam and I were just discussing everybody on this show
is strange. Okay, what what do you think is more likely?

Speaker 3 (02:03:12):
Okay? You you met a man. We all met him.

Speaker 6 (02:03:16):
He is not a barber, a hairstylist, or he works
at a florist. What is the best chance he's straight?
Mm hmm good now flors you think florist. Now you
just say barbershop. No, no, I said the hairstylist with
the smack, and and this man is straight, which one

(02:03:38):
of those more likely? I'm a go hairstylist.

Speaker 3 (02:03:42):
What are the options again, I'm a florist, or I'm
a hairstylist.

Speaker 8 (02:03:45):
Just him and his wife on the If you don't
know that, you just met a man, he's male, and
you say what do you do and he said, well,
I'm a florist, or he says or you say what
do you do?

Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
I'm a hairstylist. Which one of those two is more
likely to be straight?

Speaker 9 (02:03:59):
I think flores because if you say hairstylist, they're like
you know what I mean when I say.

Speaker 3 (02:04:04):
Hair, don't be mad at me.

Speaker 6 (02:04:06):
No, I just asked you your question on your first reaction,
and we're not saying that's the truth. We're just saying
I asked you what you would think, because I'm going
with flower.

Speaker 2 (02:04:15):
If you're straight.

Speaker 9 (02:04:16):
If you're straight, I'm gonna you're gonna say I'm a barber.
If you're not, you're going to say a hair styling.

Speaker 8 (02:04:22):
Convinced me I might change mine then, because hair stylist.
That's very very So can I just say this? So,
is there anybody that can document that you've met a
man who was straight?

Speaker 3 (02:04:33):
He was a florist? Yes, okay, why are you asking this? Yes,
it was a discussion. It's just something that hit me
of the time I was driving. Uh so, I thought
which one's more longing? No, it was a conversation I
got into and I can't get into one. Oh, but
the so and are they having younger granola? This as well?

(02:04:54):
Now if what if he has what if he has
almond milk granola and is.

Speaker 2 (02:04:58):
A florist, then this is starting to lean a certain way.

Speaker 6 (02:05:02):
Now I tend to think that I have actually met
men who are hairstylists that are straight.

Speaker 7 (02:05:08):
I have to.

Speaker 3 (02:05:08):
I'm just saying, yeah, I had to make choice, right, No,
because I did ask the question, are you bragging about it?
I'm not bragging about it. I'm not about it. We
don't like to go to lunch or anything. What can
I bring this up? Oh? No, oh no, sty Okay,
I've got in so much trouble about that. Please don't bring.

Speaker 5 (02:05:31):
I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (02:05:32):
Nobody told me, and I thought he was mad at
me about something. I was like, Wow, this guy's really rude.
Now you remember that. I know you don't.

Speaker 2 (02:05:45):
Make on air.

Speaker 3 (02:05:47):
It made on air that you don't remember that that
would be the best of it. May have been. It
may have been haircut styllars. You really got easy. Please everybody, please,
what's no, We've already seen. I've already told you all this.
You please stop that.

Speaker 14 (02:06:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:06:08):
Please, what you just did?

Speaker 3 (02:06:11):
Yeah? Maybe I was off there, so every so everybody
in here, By the way, I can't believe you don't remember.

Speaker 10 (02:06:18):
I think I was.

Speaker 3 (02:06:19):
I think it might.

Speaker 6 (02:06:20):
I think it made would make you so uncomfortable you've
put it out of your mind like some sort of trauma.

Speaker 3 (02:06:24):
The I'm showing us what was happening.

Speaker 7 (02:06:26):
That was.

Speaker 3 (02:06:29):
Unfortunately it was unfortunately it was on there. Matter of fact,
I caused a lot of trouble with that, a lot
of trouble.

Speaker 6 (02:06:35):
It's a long time ago because Brooks was little. Yeah,
people still man so it just this, They still do it.
I'd really not talk about the so brought it up.
So so so the four of us, I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (02:06:51):
We have three votes.

Speaker 6 (02:06:52):
We have three votes that it's more likely that a hairstylist,
I mean that florist would be straight.

Speaker 3 (02:06:58):
I vote it's more likely at a hairstyles would be straightsed. Okay,
well that's fair, Okay, I.

Speaker 6 (02:07:03):
Mean I am not saying that, and we know there's
exceptions on to all that. But I just think about
the people are saying they don't know the story.

Speaker 9 (02:07:10):
Now if we're saying florest or a barber, I'm going
to barb.

Speaker 3 (02:07:15):
I didn't say barb.

Speaker 2 (02:07:17):
Did you say barber?

Speaker 22 (02:07:18):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:07:18):
I said, I said, not a barber.

Speaker 2 (02:07:20):
Now what about this barber that had you rets? And
is it's faminem that that that was a long time ago?

Speaker 3 (02:07:26):
What would you do one time? We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:07:30):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, The man who removed
the phrase what's you're no good from Society Week.

Speaker 2 (02:07:52):
But just doing a job.

Speaker 23 (02:07:56):
Just do them a job.

Speaker 3 (02:07:57):
Thank you for being with us today. Okay, so never mind.

just just just a heads up.

Speaker 6 (02:09:51):
I mean, nobody, nobody gave me a heads up. And
I didn't know you weren't manly prepared. I wasn't ready,
and certainly I understand that struggle. I just didn't I
didn't understand it. I thought it was nobody said anything.

Speaker 2 (02:10:05):
As well.

Speaker 6 (02:10:06):
The background story is this is when the boys, the
middle boys were small, and you remember, you know, I
had the B Team, which I still do, the B Team,
which are all the kids, but then there was the
Killer Bees and that was the little boys. Uh and
and they they were just I mean hey, when when

(02:10:28):
we came on the scene, you knew it. And uh,
And certainly they were disciplined, and yes, we kept them
under control, but they were little boys and sitting still
in chairs waiting to get a haircut not their strongest suit.
And so in the place that Sherry wanted me to
take them to get their haircut, it was just a
convenient this is where she got her hair dead so

(02:10:52):
and the person who does my hair agreed to cut
the boy's hair. But it was not a bring your
little boys in here environ. They didn't have the seat
where it's like a horse.

Speaker 7 (02:11:02):
No.

Speaker 6 (02:11:03):
No, And because I didn't understand what the particular tick was,
I didn't understand it, so nobody told me Sherry, And
so when it started happening, I thought it was directed
at us, and I thought the person didn't like me
having my boys in there, that they weren't quiet enough

(02:11:23):
or whatever, and this was a way to show disdain.

Speaker 3 (02:11:27):
What I didn't know.

Speaker 6 (02:11:27):
It had nothing to do with that, and the person
had no problem with my kids. The person just had
touretts and I didn't know that, and so at first
I thought it was directed at us, and I started
to to I mean, I was this close to saying, hey, man,
you know, if you want me to take.

Speaker 3 (02:11:43):
Them out here, I will. And then finally I saw
a move that I went, wait a minute. So when
I got home, I walked in and I said, hey, no,
heads up, none, what are you talking about?

Speaker 6 (02:11:54):
You didn't give me a heads up? And she goes,
I don't know what you're talking about. And I said,
somebody in there had to rich you don't want to
tell me that. She goes, oh, yeah, I meant to
tell you that. Well, how about our heads up?

Speaker 3 (02:12:04):
That's number one?

Speaker 2 (02:12:05):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:12:05):
But but I can honestly, how about this super super
nice person obviously really good at what he does, really
good at what he does. I think in semi retirement. Now, Uh,
that one was on me. Yeah, okay, that's it. He
didn't have a problem officially with you. No, he didn't.

Speaker 8 (02:12:23):
I must have magazine that I must have been off.
There's no recording of this best of it at all, because.

Speaker 3 (02:12:29):
I was all I think. I think it caused so
much trouble because I actually I guess one day the
show was hurting and it needed something. Yeah, but he
would get so you would really acted out.

Speaker 6 (02:12:41):
Oh yeah, I acted it you did, you know? I
acted it out to try to put you all there.
I don't know where you were speeding. I really think
there's a chance you were traumatized from it. I would
have saved it, and you've you've blocked it out of
your mind. Was there lots of laughter? Oh yeah, we
see how have saved it? And I'm sure we had
you say, that's when we live audience every day. So
I'm sure we had a live audience, right, And and

(02:13:03):
so I didn't want to say because don't want to
make fun of people.

Speaker 3 (02:13:05):
Right, Oh, thanks Greg?

Speaker 5 (02:13:07):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (02:13:08):
And so it upsets some people that that love him
and and I certainly do too, and it was that
first time that they love him.

Speaker 3 (02:13:16):
Well, I there's no problem with between.

Speaker 1 (02:13:18):
Me and him.

Speaker 3 (02:13:19):
He did not, he didn't do anything, but with no
heads up. It's just surprised I was wrong in this.

Speaker 10 (02:13:25):
He was.

Speaker 3 (02:13:26):
He was always a little rowdy in there. He wasn't.

Speaker 6 (02:13:28):
I was self conscious about it and ripped the page
out of a magazine. I'm just saying I'm the one
that was wrong in this, not him.

Speaker 3 (02:13:35):
No, And he wouldn't.

Speaker 6 (02:13:37):
And people thought that we were maybe laughing about it
more than they wished we would.

Speaker 3 (02:13:41):
Have so unlike that girl with the TV show, he
wasn't thinking no no. But so that's bring it up.

Speaker 6 (02:13:49):
People claim they've been listening all the way through the
thirty one years of Ricking Bubba and every day we've
been on and they didn't hear it?

Speaker 11 (02:13:55):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (02:13:56):
I'm telling you it happened now, I know, I know it.
Trust me, it happened. I'm convinced now I heard. I
heard it once just an offf air in front of
the family. That's something.

Speaker 6 (02:14:05):
I mean, you and her losing it and uh and
then there was a family favorite and then you pulled
it out on the air one day. Yeah, I think
it was a desperation to move. Now, let me tell
you sure we wouldn't get you no, no, no, no, no,
no speedy look at me.

Speaker 3 (02:14:20):
Let me tell you now, you got me at one
hundred percent was done on there because you got drunk ill.
That's true. It's one hundred percent was on there. Yeah. Yeah, now,
and I might have begged that it not be saved
because fed he might have been off that day doing
I don't yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (02:14:34):
What happened is sick. Let me tell you that COVID. Yeah,
let me tell you that it's the way before. Let
me this back when we used to just call it
the flu.

Speaker 3 (02:14:42):
Listen be coaching some world championship, right.

Speaker 6 (02:14:46):
So Greg, he's it's on me. I have energy the Yeah,
I know he's let me say this, Greg it here.
Here's the irony. Here's the irony of it all, and
only the what we do for living.

Speaker 3 (02:14:57):
Would cause this. No one was upset with with me.
No one was upset with the boys.

Speaker 6 (02:15:02):
But then everybody got upset at me for thinking they
were upset and me doing the bit that's so then
it turned around. I was not at odds with anyone,
but then I put myself.

Speaker 3 (02:15:10):
At audits by doing the bit.

Speaker 12 (02:15:12):
There it is.

Speaker 3 (02:15:12):
That's all they heard.

Speaker 6 (02:15:13):
And since that day, other than the person that does
a hair a little colding there while going oh still
still got now the woman, well, the woman who does
our hair and all this cuts her cut her hair,
the person thank you, thank you, the woman who cuts
hair cut yesterday saying well, I didn't want to because
I didn't want the person who did it to have

(02:15:34):
their career room. But it was the goodyarl, the one
who can flip the comb real good, Okay, chill, she'll
cut and flip the comb.

Speaker 5 (02:15:42):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:15:42):
Does she ever look when you walk in with your
hair and go win even bother? I told her, I said,
this is one of the easiest thing you.

Speaker 6 (02:15:47):
But what I'm saying the woman who still cuts Sherry's
hair and I'll go get a haircut there too. She's
she's fine with fine with everything the rest. When you
go in there, it's just a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:15:58):
It's just a little bit when I walk into and
sometimes I'm going to go, you know that those little
boys are like twenty six and we get past twenty three.
Come on, man, yeah, I mean it's surely by now.
I said, I was sorry. I didn't know they're grown.
I didn't know. Now did I have a choice not
to relive it out on the air for a laugh?

Speaker 5 (02:16:15):
Sure?

Speaker 6 (02:16:16):
And maybe not a great call. Well, in our world,
it was a great call. Now the way your world now,
the way you're responding, I'll take I'll take.

Speaker 1 (02:16:24):
Meet for that.

Speaker 11 (02:16:24):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (02:16:26):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. They can and do

(02:16:54):
the truth, the Rik Burger's Show.

Speaker 2 (02:16:59):
Yes we can.

Speaker 3 (02:17:00):
Thanks for being with us. A lot of folks out
there apparently can. I but that's all right, we can't,
so we're moving forward. Please please, uh some of you
requesting look, if it's out there and it's on some
sort of best of you know, hopefully you'll find it.

Speaker 6 (02:17:18):
I just really like to I worked real hard to
repair all that I'd rather not, you know, go in
there and kick it, kick all the tables over again.

Speaker 3 (02:17:26):
Yeah, it's a it's all good. Your baby brother asked
you live on air about it. Thank you, easy, easy, hey,
And uh, this media's next segment. I know I haven't
followed up with a text to the handler no responts.
So Jeff Struker, he's gonna be on time. It's supposed

(02:17:46):
to be with us next segment.

Speaker 6 (02:17:48):
And I just I get a sense, you know, Jeff Struker,
who's not just an Army ranger, but in the Ranger
Hall of Fame, uh and black hawk down all the
things that he's been true and it's highly decorated, and
he's supposed to be with us next segment. And it
we're all a little bit because this is this is

(02:18:09):
when we know we have these guests sometimes that we
want to do well for. We don't want them to
discover what most people know. We're a bunch of yahoos
and telling the story about the no. I actually think
he might think that's funny.

Speaker 3 (02:18:23):
Yeah, we think that time. Yeah, this is sure would
be great if we could move on off that it
is hit me. I forgot it was right, So yeah,
it would be great. I appreciate a good blast in
the past. Yes you do, Yes you do. And that
one is right there, one of them. You know, it's
a good one. When you're trying to describe it, you can't.
You can't quit laughing and describe it.

Speaker 6 (02:18:43):
And right there in Greg's wheelhouse too, just right there,
just right, look at it. Look it's perked him up.
He seemed a little sleepy earlier.

Speaker 3 (02:18:53):
It's really perked him up.

Speaker 8 (02:18:55):
So what is one of the more uncomfortable Rick just
brought one up public moments like year in, Like you're
in a handle and it's in public and you're trying
to handle it.

Speaker 3 (02:19:04):
I mean, like that one, Rick, you know, you were
in a handle.

Speaker 8 (02:19:07):
You were trying to read you read the situation and
you misread it and you thought that it was you know,
you were doing something wrong.

Speaker 6 (02:19:13):
Yeah, yeah, which yeah, when you when you completely just
have it wrong. Yeah, and yeah, it's it's a terrible feeling. Yeah, yeah,
all right, if it comes to me, yeah, because I'm
sure there's plenty of Yeah, there's there's there's so many
that I can remember.

Speaker 3 (02:19:29):
Like three days back. Unless it jumps, why then it
goes twenty years. And I picked one.

Speaker 6 (02:19:33):
I know Speedies, I know yours, and it involves it
involves the game of golf, oh Speed, and a certain
class and a certain pastor that you were playing golf
now just right in front of everything, you talk about
having something wrong, terribly.

Speaker 3 (02:19:50):
Comfortable, coly, and there's just missing. I misheard it. I
did it.

Speaker 6 (02:19:56):
Yeah, Now, Speed thought it was that there was a nickname,
what a great nickname it was, well, you can't say
you old, and what they referred to him as the
is old pastor, and Speedy thought they were.

Speaker 3 (02:20:11):
Saying something else and then called him that when it
was a good shot he hit. Yeah, well I've gotten comfortable.

Speaker 8 (02:20:17):
If you've ever played a round of golf or with somebody,
at first, first couple, hold you, you're trying to read
them and kind of get comfortable. You turn the corner
and you're on the back nine. Now you're all kind
of buddies, right, And that's when I let it go
one of the guys. Yeah, I'd heard it the whole
front nine. There it is, I thought, I thought, well,
I'm in now. That was a terrible moment.

Speaker 2 (02:20:38):
Old dirty.

Speaker 3 (02:20:39):
Yeah. Yeah, the word pastor. It's pastor, all.

Speaker 2 (02:20:44):
Right, So funny story about that word. Uh went to
see Independence Day.

Speaker 9 (02:20:49):
At some point somebody yells talking about the alien shoot
that old dirty.

Speaker 3 (02:20:54):
So we have someone talking to the screen and no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (02:20:57):
This was in the movie Okay, in the movie My Blood.
He had not heard that word. We go to his house,
we're playing video games. His dad is just like in
the room. I mean he was probably I guess thirteen.

Speaker 3 (02:21:10):
Something like he had never heard that word.

Speaker 2 (02:21:12):
Well, we have a different different life than Greg.

Speaker 13 (02:21:17):
Dad.

Speaker 5 (02:21:18):
He had not.

Speaker 3 (02:21:19):
He had not. Well you know what, that's good parent.

Speaker 9 (02:21:20):
And so we're playing video games and he then repeats
that line shoot that right in front of the dad,
and the dad's like whoa, whoa, oh no, we.

Speaker 2 (02:21:29):
All learned a little something that day.

Speaker 6 (02:21:31):
Greg Bruiser on that note, don't say it, say it, no, no, Yeah,
he didn't know what. He didn't know what a song
lyric man, and he sang it in front of his mom,
just like Greg did, and he got in trouble our
sister when she was little. That chair we had, Do

(02:21:53):
you remember that story Dad had. He had this chair
that he loved and it didn't I mean, it was
all worn out and mother wanted to get rid of
because it didn't match nothing else.

Speaker 3 (02:22:03):
And that I can't tell. He said, it stuck out
like a reunion. Oh yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 6 (02:22:14):
Well then time goes on and our grandmother's there and
my sister's little and grandmother goes to sit in the
chair and she said, you're sitting in the blank chair.

Speaker 12 (02:22:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:22:24):
I forgot about that. She had no idea what it meant.
Oh wow. And of course we like it.

Speaker 6 (02:22:30):
And the person she said it too. There's no worst
person in the family could have been exactly. There was
more offend than that, right, But yeah, I remember that,
of course, you know that's that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:22:42):
I once I once told a polot joke to a
girl who turned out to be polished. Remember, Oh yeah,
that was that was very impressed with you. No, no,
that went poorly.

Speaker 8 (02:22:52):
I called a lady pregnant live on the air, saying
that she was our first pregnant contestant and she wasn't pregnant. Correct,
that's why now I've never met on anybody being pregnant.

Speaker 6 (02:23:01):
Adler did at the old studio, telling me, girl, why
don't you get the guys to do a baby prediction?

Speaker 3 (02:23:05):
Said, well, I'm not pregnant.

Speaker 2 (02:23:06):
Right of course she had been though. We well, that
don't mean that it was only six months prior.

Speaker 3 (02:23:13):
I think her brother was with her, him and her dad.

Speaker 2 (02:23:16):
She tried to laugh and right in her face. I'm like, oh,
I'm so sorry, ma'am. And I gave her a shirt
out of the merch room.

Speaker 1 (02:23:22):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:23:22):
He overdid it when he was trying to followize.

Speaker 12 (02:23:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:23:25):
Remember the time that my wife did one of these
where she got she got a last name wrong and
invited people to stay at the farm while they were
waiting on their house to get ready. And it wasn't
the people she thought it was, and we ended up
bringing strangers there.

Speaker 3 (02:23:38):
I remember that, Uh.

Speaker 6 (02:23:39):
I only to discover that as I was introducing them
to campus that they didn't eat meat.

Speaker 3 (02:23:43):
It's the whole thing where we at they wear heads, scaring.

Speaker 6 (02:23:48):
The little boy walks in, he's just mom, you remember that,
And there's their heads on the wall and a sign
that says, if God didn't want us to eat animals,
he wouldn't have made them out of meeting. Yes, yes,
all the buck heads gone. Yeah, that's not the same thing.

Speaker 3 (02:24:02):
Texture is me taking a picture at the gas station.
That's good for you? That yeah, and I appreciate that effort.

Speaker 6 (02:24:11):
Terrible feeling when you when you just have the room
all wrong and you're you're just spouting all things.

Speaker 3 (02:24:17):
Yeah, oh I couldn't. Didn't know.

Speaker 6 (02:24:18):
Somebody's in the car, right, doesn't that? Oh my goodness? Okay,
oh well wow, look at that texture. My son, not
knowing what a word means, called the teacher that.

Speaker 3 (02:24:28):
Oh that's a good one. In middle school. That's an
offensive one.

Speaker 2 (02:24:32):
You know, people in the UK, they don't even think
that's a cuss word.

Speaker 3 (02:24:37):
Are you okay? So anyway, uh kids not.

Speaker 8 (02:24:41):
Let's not even get started on kids putting you in
awkward situations and things, because they're just totally if.

Speaker 6 (02:24:45):
You don't want to be If you don't want to
be put in awkward situations, you just shouldn't have to
have kids.

Speaker 11 (02:24:51):
Children.

Speaker 3 (02:24:51):
You should not have children. You had to have had
one yesterday. Kids will put you.

Speaker 6 (02:24:55):
In the you just don't know what if you if
you get embarrassed easy or made uncomfortable, I'd I don't
know how second hand embarrassing people make it with kids.

Speaker 8 (02:25:05):
And they'll ask you a question out loud about the
person standing beside me, like why is you know.

Speaker 6 (02:25:10):
When tender was growing up, if I saw somebody coming
towards us that had the funny hair or clothes, I'd
have to turn him and run, or he would go
point it out.

Speaker 3 (02:25:16):
Yes, why you got hair like that?

Speaker 2 (02:25:18):
Oh yeah, yeah, you're trying to interrupt them before.

Speaker 3 (02:25:20):
Why you wear in your mother's shoes?

Speaker 16 (02:25:22):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:25:22):
Hear it from you for so long?

Speaker 2 (02:25:24):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (02:25:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:25:25):
I was in a gas station and a guy came in.
His leg looked like an elephant's leg.

Speaker 9 (02:25:29):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:25:31):
Easy, it was not that great, but it was. I
mean it was so swollen and just red. And I
saw ruby looking at it. Oh no, I saw no?

Speaker 3 (02:25:39):
Why?

Speaker 2 (02:25:40):
Why? What wrong with his leg? Why he looked like
a rhino?

Speaker 7 (02:25:42):
You know?

Speaker 2 (02:25:45):
Did you want something over here?

Speaker 5 (02:25:47):
You?

Speaker 3 (02:25:48):
You better? Who wants money can know you better? That's tough.

Speaker 2 (02:25:53):
You can see him like little wheels spinning.

Speaker 9 (02:25:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25:56):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:25:56):
Kids will ask somebody when they're large. Yeah, in the second,
that's there on the text o asking us a second.

Speaker 3 (02:26:02):
I was five years old.

Speaker 2 (02:26:03):
I asked my grandma wife, her teeth were brown. That's fine,
my dad just giving me this teeth. Grandma. Oh, don't
say that your grandma has brown teeth.

Speaker 3 (02:26:15):
You put it in such a hack.

Speaker 20 (02:26:18):
He was his mom.

Speaker 2 (02:26:20):
I love your grandma, Pat your teeth looks great. Down
by the way, I don't know what you've been doing.
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:26:29):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Confering and America love it,
The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (02:26:45):
We're back. Thanks for being with us. Jeff Struker is
with us. We've been talking about spending some time with
him throughout the show. Uh, he joins us. Uh, Jeff,
welcome to the Rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 1 (02:26:58):
How are you.

Speaker 7 (02:27:00):
I'm great, rick Man, thanks for having me on the show.

Speaker 6 (02:27:02):
Well, let me just say on behalf of America, thank
you to for your service to the country and and
of course, uh I know that what what did you
were just just under twenty three years Uh that's right, yeah,
and uh and congratulations on being inducted into the Army
Ranger Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (02:27:19):
Uh what what an honor? What was that like?

Speaker 7 (02:27:22):
Yeah, you're right, it was surreal because all of my
greatest heroes are in there, and I have no idea
why they inducted a guy like me with some of
those great Americans.

Speaker 6 (02:27:32):
Well, uh, you're you're being humble and that's what that
that's what we expect but obviously deserved. You know, when
you when you have something as uh as well, I
won't say traumatizing, because you know you're in your line
of work, you know that that's something you have to
be able to overcome. But what you guys went through, uh,
and I know it's not the only thing you did

(02:27:52):
over the twenty three years, but black Hawk Down Is
is of course remembered by Americas and it needs to be. Frankly,
but when they do a movie and about something that important,
do you feel like the movie was fair?

Speaker 3 (02:28:06):
Do you you? I mean, I know you were portrayed
in the movie and everything.

Speaker 6 (02:28:09):
Did you you as a person who was there and
those people who lost their lives and all you went through.

Speaker 3 (02:28:15):
Do you have find feelings about how that movie was done?

Speaker 20 (02:28:20):
Or no?

Speaker 7 (02:28:21):
Well, I should tell you that movie ruined my life
in a good way. And I'm using this play on
words on purpose.

Speaker 3 (02:28:28):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (02:28:28):
I was in the Army for a long time. I
did a lot of combat missions. I never ever talked
to the media, and then I ended up doing an
interview that became the book, which became the movie. And
when people found out that I was in the movie,
it radically changed my military career because everything that I
did was secret and undercovered, and my own my neighbors

(02:28:48):
didn't even know that I was in the military. And
then there's a movie with my name, you know, all
over it on the big screen. And I really didn't
even want to see them make this into a movie
because of what it was going to do to me personally, right,
But I will tell you, man, they knocked it out
of the park with this movie. They didn't turn it
into a political statement, they didn't try to make it

(02:29:09):
into more than it was. They just accurately showed the
world this is what war is like.

Speaker 3 (02:29:14):
Yeah, they did, and it they really took us there,
and personally it was it was hard to watch. I mean,
we needed to watch it.

Speaker 6 (02:29:21):
I know it's nothing compared to living it, so pardon
me for that, but it was hard to watch because
you just find yourself screaming. A lot of this could
have been avoided, This could have been avoided. And I
think that's one of the things. And we talk about
this even in my family. You know, there's things that
happened that you know, there's nothing we could do.

Speaker 3 (02:29:39):
It's just life. But those things and you go, oh,
that could have been avoided, those seemed to be the
harder ones to digest. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:29:47):
Absolutely. In fact, the movie, as you you know, came
out not long after the attacks on September eleventh, and
a lot of two thousand and one, and a lot
of people were asking the question like, why did this happen?
How did this happen?

Speaker 5 (02:29:59):
Right?

Speaker 7 (02:30:00):
And this is unfortunately just part of being a warrior
and an American warrior. Some of that stuff shouldn't have happened.
And then as a result of the big fight in Somalia,
President Clinton withdrew all US forces from Somalia, which made
us ask the question, why did we even go in
the first place? Why did we have to go through that?

Speaker 5 (02:30:18):
Right?

Speaker 6 (02:30:19):
So let's talk about I mean what you're doing now,
which is, you know, the commission that all of us
who have been redeemed by Jesus are called to. He
told us very clearly, Okay, you've been redeemed, now, now
go be my disciples. Go make disciples and teach them
all I have commanded, and you certainly are doing that.

(02:30:41):
Talk a little bit about how you felt called to
go out, and you know, of course this is where
you and I will connect, and the importance of reaching
and discipling men.

Speaker 13 (02:30:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:30:52):
So I never saw this one coming, but God radically
changed my life right after the battle was overwhere part
of my story is that I had this rock solid
faith in Jesus. In the middle of the battle, I
was totally certain I was going to die and had
total peace about it. In fact, I had the kind
of piece that if I die in the next few moments,

(02:31:13):
I know where I'm going to spend eternity. I'm not
going to worry about it. But as soon as the
battle was over with my buddies, who didn't know whether
they were going to spend eternities, weren't ready for God,
weren't ready for death, they started asking me questions.

Speaker 3 (02:31:27):
And it was almost immediately.

Speaker 7 (02:31:30):
That God showed me very clearly, Hey, Jeff, I want
you to do something different than be an army ranger
and kill bad guys. And that's what set me on
a path to become a chaplain retired from the army
and I stayed around a military community so that I
could keep trying to reach America's warriors with the Gospel
and fulfill that great commission that you were just talking about.

Speaker 6 (02:31:53):
So what do you think when I know that you
know I'm a solution guy. Once you've talked about a problem,
let's get to a solution. Men's ministry, if we were
just being honest, especially by the Western Church many times,
has been done pretty poorly. And one of the things
that I think that that's missed a lot of times

(02:32:13):
is we try to reach and disciple men as if
men are children are women, and they're not. Men and
women are certainly equal in value, but they're beautifully and distinct.
And I love the approach that you are taking, and
it's why I wanted you to be part of one
of our conferences. Is there is a way to talk

(02:32:33):
to a man because that's the way God made men,
and you certainly do that.

Speaker 3 (02:32:38):
Tell me about your strategy when you're going to speak
to men.

Speaker 7 (02:32:43):
Well, yeah, so, Rick, anytime you call, I am such
a big fan of Man Church and what you're doing,
and I believe completely in it. Anytime you I look
at my schedule and try to figure out if I
could fit it in good because, like you, I look
at what's wrong with the church, what's wrong in America,
what's wrong around the world. In fact, by the way,

(02:33:05):
I'm so committed to the great commission that I'm talking
to you right now from a coffee shop in Praetorious,
South Africa. Yeah, but I look at what's wrong, and
you can point a lot of it, if not most
of it back to men and men's failures. And I
believe a man needs to be talked to like a man,
needs to be treated like a man, but also a

(02:33:26):
man needs to be challenged like a man.

Speaker 3 (02:33:28):
Amen.

Speaker 7 (02:33:29):
And what I try to do is just talk to
men honestly, but not hold any punches, and just say, guys, listen,
if there's problems at work at home, in your personal life,
you got to look at you long before you start
looking around you with other people. And I'm the living
proof of that. You know, when Jesus got a hold
of me, he radically changed me and then started to

(02:33:51):
change people around me. And I think that the Gospel
is supposed to do is change families. And the fastest
way to change a family is to change the Father
or to change them marit.

Speaker 6 (02:34:02):
Yeah, which is exactly why God called us to these ministries,
because I tend to want to go to where if
I get this worked out, it'll solve a lot of
other problems. You know, our adversary clearly knew that in order,
as Jesus taught us, if I'm going after that house,
I've got to bind the strong man. And the adversary says,
if we get the man, will destroy the family, will

(02:34:24):
destroy the church, will destroy society. And what we have
to do as the church is counter that move, as
Jesus has clearly told us to do. And if you
reach and disciple the man, you solve a lot of
those problems.

Speaker 7 (02:34:37):
I like to tell people, Rick, if you look in
the Bible, one of the most messed up churches in
the entire Bible is the Church in Coortant. Yes, And
in the Book of First Corinthians, the last thing that
the book says is in chapter sixteen it says act
like men. And I want to say, you know, most
of the mess in this church is probably because men
weren't acting like men. And maybe it's time for us

(02:34:58):
to get real about the mess in the church in America,
and maybe it's time for men to stand up and
start acting like men in the church instead of being
talked to and treated like women or like children.

Speaker 6 (02:35:10):
Yeah, I think that's why a lot of men are
not engaged in the Western churches too many times. It's
designed to draw women and children and it really isn't
designed to draw men as they were made by God.

Speaker 3 (02:35:21):
So thank you for everything you're doing.

Speaker 6 (02:35:23):
And I can't thank you enough for making the effort
from South Africa to be on the show to help promote.
So if you want to see Jeff, he's part of
our Atlanta stop. He'll be there along with Scott Dawson,
Landon Dowd. Also Andy Blanks and I will be there.
So if you don't have tickets, Atlanta is February twenty
eight through March first, and you'll get to come here

(02:35:44):
Jeff in person, and trust me, make this a priority. Jeff,
thanks for all you've already done and continue to do.

Speaker 7 (02:35:51):
Thanks buddy, look forward to seeing you on February twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (02:35:53):
I do too, man, Thanks so much.

Speaker 6 (02:35:55):
Jeff Strucker, American hero and devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Make plans to be with us in Atlanta coming up
on the twenty eighth in March first, it'll be a
powerful weekend. You don't want to miss it. Find out
at the Manchurch dot com.

Speaker 1 (02:36:11):
This is the rick Burgers show.

Speaker 4 (02:36:30):
You better listen up. You know what we say.

Speaker 6 (02:36:36):
As you gotta.

Speaker 1 (02:36:39):
Find the voice of reason in an unreasonable world, the
rick Burgers show no doubt about it.

Speaker 6 (02:36:52):
Here we go make the commitment that we have made.
It is quite free. When you make the commitment that
you are no longer attempt to reason with unreasonable people,
it'll free you, all right.

Speaker 3 (02:37:05):
So Jeff Strucker was on last hour if you missed
that catch that in the Daily Archives, that was I
felt like that. I mean, what a hoss.

Speaker 6 (02:37:15):
I mean, how easy would it have been for him?
And understandable for him to say, Man, I'm in South Africa.
I can't I can't be in being on that and
and he did because he's a horse, and uh he
he will. I look forward to hanging out with him
Lord Willing in Atlanta in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (02:37:32):
It's gonna be great.

Speaker 5 (02:37:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (02:37:33):
I mean what we do for a living offers up,
you know, some pretty cool opportunities and meeting Jared Hudson
in person and then interacting with him knowing we're going
to meet him in person.

Speaker 3 (02:37:44):
Oh yeah, it's pretty cool. Some some good perks to
the to the job Army Ranger Hall of Famer Jeff Struker,
and I love that when when he said, you know,
he was already redeemed, and he said, I felt like
in Mogadishu that we were not going to survive, and
I was preparing to die. But I knew I was
ready to die. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (02:38:04):
Netflix has a new documentary out about black Hawk Down
and it talks to a lot of those involved, now
even the locals, and I just got into just a
little bit of the first episode. Nice but everybody involved, Rick,
everybody so far that I've seen being interviewed, yep said
they thought this is it.

Speaker 3 (02:38:24):
YEP, rightfully.

Speaker 11 (02:38:25):
So.

Speaker 6 (02:38:25):
Also loving on the text option people sending us their
kids wearing some new swag from the show.

Speaker 3 (02:38:33):
I just saw the water bottle come up there. Let's go, Hey,
that water bottle turned out great. Didn't look that right there?

Speaker 6 (02:38:37):
Yeah like that, that was nice, So thanks for sending
those to us. Also looking back at last Hour a
little bit, talking about moments when when somebody just has
something so wrong, and you're in an uncomfortable situation. This
is from a person I will not name, says when
I hear y'all talking about kids not knowing what words mean,

(02:39:01):
you not knowing what words mean using them in a
bad situation. He said, my grandmother was completely deaf, and
so my dad was actually fluent in sign language. Now
this sounds more like how we grew up, Greg. My
dad would teach us, my brother and me cuss words

(02:39:24):
in sign language. Then he would say, sign this to
your grandmother.

Speaker 3 (02:39:28):
It means I love you. No, no, that's good, and
he goes by the way.

Speaker 6 (02:39:33):
It did not mean that, and it would freak out
my grandmother and she would get upset and my dad
would laugh. Now that's just a little thing that sounds
good right there. Also also, I love the person that
said that they took their little girl to a basketball
game who screamed out in the gym while there's a
lot of black people here.

Speaker 8 (02:39:52):
Gracious, that's a doozy right there. I know we don't
follow it. Speaking of college basketball, basketball in general, Alabama, Auburn,
Alabama one and two?

Speaker 3 (02:40:01):
Yes, are they really?

Speaker 13 (02:40:02):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (02:40:02):
I I watched over one time and it was this
past weekend they got hammered Florida.

Speaker 3 (02:40:07):
Yeah did you Okay, well there you go. I think
that Florida's top four Tennessee in the Yeah whatever, But
I just thought it was cool.

Speaker 2 (02:40:16):
Hey, by the way, this is I love you, everybody,
This is I love you.

Speaker 11 (02:40:20):
Here I go.

Speaker 2 (02:40:22):
That's not that doesn't mean I love you.

Speaker 3 (02:40:25):
Do you have to stick your tongue out when you
do that?

Speaker 2 (02:40:27):
I just called.

Speaker 3 (02:40:30):
That's different? Stand up?

Speaker 11 (02:40:36):
All right?

Speaker 6 (02:40:36):
So another a couple of some videos and stories. There's
a video that's circulating right now. And look, this is
the worst if you've ever when we you know, Greg
Speedy and and me adder you were later we.

Speaker 3 (02:40:51):
Grew up in the eighties. And when you grew up
in the eighties, if you played little ball, and we did,
you were going to bench press. I mean, how much
you bench? How much you bench bench? Fresh? Was everything? Minimum? Maximum?

Speaker 6 (02:41:04):
Remember that you'd go and so how much can you bench? Well,
here's a person. I don't know what they're thinking.

Speaker 5 (02:41:12):
I get.

Speaker 6 (02:41:12):
I don't know if they're trying to get a new
max or what they're trying to do, but they have
a I don't know if this is a girlfriend or
a wife or a sister. There is a smallish female
that he has spotting, which is a terrible idea, especially
when you're going for your max, and that means you've
got a lot of weight.

Speaker 3 (02:41:30):
There's a lot of weight on here, and this guy
doesn't even come close.

Speaker 6 (02:41:33):
She is enough to bench this, and she can't get
the weight off of him, and at one point begins
to roll it back on his neck.

Speaker 8 (02:41:41):
Yeah, you just it gets stuck on his chest and
rolls onto his neck and she's not strong enough to
get it off of him.

Speaker 3 (02:41:46):
Hey, when you get it, when you find somebody to
spot you, they got to be able to pull it off.
Oh yeah, that's a lot of weight. That's a ton
of lot of weight.

Speaker 2 (02:41:53):
I haven't watched this is the audio.

Speaker 3 (02:41:55):
Okay, yeah, it seems to be. It looks like there's
some name. The gym isn't in a different language?

Speaker 8 (02:42:01):
Is it is?

Speaker 3 (02:42:01):
But so we wouldn't know now Cussin's universe. But hey,
he's in a handle, he's in a major hand. I
thought at one point to cut his head on. I
did too.

Speaker 6 (02:42:08):
I thought I was afraid we were watching those Faces
of Death video, right, So you'll have to explain Rick
for the radio. So here he is, he's going to
try a lot of weight, and it's just a small female.
He's kind of wing back, though she gets out of
the way.

Speaker 12 (02:42:22):
He doesn't.

Speaker 3 (02:42:24):
Now she gets over there.

Speaker 10 (02:42:25):
She's.

Speaker 3 (02:42:29):
Still houlds it back and drops it. She can't even
come close to moving it, And.

Speaker 2 (02:42:39):
He said, get out of here.

Speaker 3 (02:42:40):
Look is he trying to get what is he trying
to do. He's grabbing her whatever she has on and
she's trying to.

Speaker 2 (02:42:47):
Move it still stuck.

Speaker 3 (02:42:52):
Oh goodness, my one point, I thought his head was gone.

Speaker 8 (02:42:59):
And then you can get lost in videos on reels
of people doing that like they're what they're showing off
in their basement like and then and then all of
a sudden it's stuck on him and he's like, what
what when.

Speaker 3 (02:43:09):
She grabbed it and tried to pull it, move it?

Speaker 11 (02:43:13):
What?

Speaker 3 (02:43:13):
Somebody do the numbers? What's one hundred and sixty five kilos?

Speaker 9 (02:43:17):
Twice there one sixty five cage and look like a
three hundred yes, uh, one sixty five yeah, three sixty three.

Speaker 2 (02:43:28):
Hey, Hey, that could not do it. You know when
that woman couldn't even move The woman weighed one hundred pounds.

Speaker 3 (02:43:34):
What do you think she could spine. What do you
think he was doing when he was grabbing trying.

Speaker 2 (02:43:37):
To pull over? Was he trying to work on this
side only?

Speaker 3 (02:43:40):
I think, yeah, you're trying to pull it up. She
didn't have any shoes on. And does she have like
some type of apron on or something making cookies? I
don't know, but that's what she should have been doing.

Speaker 11 (02:43:59):
This is what just.

Speaker 8 (02:44:02):
A quick tip is if you are working out by yourself,
don't use don't use clips. Don't use clips, but you
can that way, you can dump it because you see
people that use clips by themselves and they're stuck.

Speaker 3 (02:44:15):
Yea.

Speaker 6 (02:44:17):
By the way, if we ask this guy you a
bench and he says three guy, if he says three
sixty five, we go we know that ain't.

Speaker 3 (02:44:23):
But you try to say three sixty five. We saw
the video when she was trying to pull on it,
and it wasn't even thinking about me.

Speaker 2 (02:44:31):
That's an Indian helium boy.

Speaker 3 (02:44:34):
You thought Jersey throat hurt saddler, imagine his right? No,
I bet he didn't. Hey, y'all, hear how about that? Y'all?

Speaker 6 (02:44:42):
At one point, I mean he's she jumps down and
walks back ten ft from him.

Speaker 3 (02:44:47):
That's not doing negative on the way down.

Speaker 2 (02:44:53):
On the neck still.

Speaker 3 (02:44:54):
It's on the neck still. Oh my gosh, it's on
the neck.

Speaker 2 (02:44:58):
The worst spot ever.

Speaker 7 (02:45:00):
Can't you do that?

Speaker 3 (02:45:02):
Oh he's got Oh now it went one way, It
went one way. Oh, stay right there. If he doesn't
have clips, he comes off over here.

Speaker 2 (02:45:09):
Why I don't know what he's doing. Oh and this
man is still jammed in.

Speaker 3 (02:45:14):
It plus his herd Yes, Now it turns into being
an ad for.

Speaker 2 (02:45:19):
That the clip.

Speaker 24 (02:45:20):
Yeah, the guardrails, I should say, wow, okay, And that's
a that that is just there's a lot there's a
lot of dumb things in that one, a lot of
or done a lot of dumb things.

Speaker 2 (02:45:31):
First of all, why you're recording yourself? Many just worked out,
like goodness, where if.

Speaker 7 (02:45:35):
You do it?

Speaker 2 (02:45:36):
Every single thing? I was proving how much of a
man I want?

Speaker 3 (02:45:41):
Yeah, why didn't he having the clips?

Speaker 2 (02:45:44):
That's just dumb. Clips is dumb. No guardrails is dumb.

Speaker 9 (02:45:47):
And having that one pound lady spot you for a
three hundred and sixty pounds the bench presents dumb.

Speaker 3 (02:45:52):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:45:53):

So it's to be ready, that's it's out. There's one
way to get Valentine's ready to go? All right, so
much to cover, still to go today. All right, So
a lot of feedback from all of you out there too.
We yeah, thank you for that. Sure, no problem. Well,

(02:48:33):
a lot of people are wondering right now, you know,
how can I get that out? What do you think
We've been talking a little bit about the first one
hundred days of Trump. Well, I'll tell you somebody who's
extremely thrilled with it, and that's Mark. Is it Fogel?

Speaker 6 (02:48:50):
Mark Fogel freed American hostage is finally back in the
United States after years of Russian captivity. So and he
is crediting the Trump administration for doing what the other
administration just could not do.

Speaker 8 (02:49:07):
No, no, but actually Biden couldn't have even stepped outside
the White House at like what ten o'clock local times.

Speaker 3 (02:49:13):
Welcome, he'd have been asleep.

Speaker 5 (02:49:15):
Yeah he's done.

Speaker 3 (02:49:16):
Yeah yeah, so so there you go.

Speaker 6 (02:49:18):
He he was serving a fourteen year sentence for his
arrest in twenty one at a Russian airport for possession
of drugs. Uh And but the family said this was
medically presquiet prescribed sqube prescribed to marijuana, Mary Jane. And
now look they don't like that, all record that, they

(02:49:41):
hate it. We got big grinder right in this game.

Speaker 2 (02:49:45):
The big her name is Brittany, not Brittany Big.

Speaker 3 (02:49:48):
Yeah. They're not into dubage in Russia.

Speaker 5 (02:49:51):
No, they're not.

Speaker 3 (02:49:52):
Well there's if it's medically prescribed, they're not. I do.

Speaker 6 (02:49:55):
And look at what they a fourteen year sentence all that.
I'm glad he's been freed. I'm glad he's back and
all that. But in this time, we didn't even have
to swap in assassin. But what but what But what
I'm saying, But what I'm saying right now is if
you're a family going to Russia, okay in twenty one
and in its state in twenty one, doesn't somebody in

(02:50:20):
the family go, we probably want to clear this. You know,
medically prescribed marijuana. Having that onus might be a problem.
Maybe we want to contact Russia, maybe not take it
something that you just seem double up right, and maybe
the person needs it and all that.

Speaker 3 (02:50:39):
But but still yeah, so so so anyway, he called
President Trump a hero and said, you got it done. Yeah. Well, look,
our our enemies celebe. We can't tell what that's in
his hands or not. I don't think it's a Miller line.

Speaker 6 (02:50:57):
He's marijuana, right, so so I don't I don't know
what he's drinking there, but he is back and Trump
is able to get things done that it appears others.
Ricky and I heard Trump also declared he's visiting to
stop the war between Ukraine and Russia, and if he'd

(02:51:18):
been in office then it wouldn't never happen. No, yeah,
that has been He's been very clear about that, and
something about all the money we've given Ukraine, we got
to have some kind of collateral and he's wanting mineral
rights to something in Ukraine.

Speaker 3 (02:51:31):
Is that correct?

Speaker 10 (02:51:31):
Yep.

Speaker 8 (02:51:32):
And the big thing he talks about is Ukrainian forces
and Russian forces together. It's about one point five million
soldiers that have died in the war, and he's like,
all those souls, we need just that alone, we need
we need to end this war.

Speaker 3 (02:51:45):
Much less everything else that we're talking about.

Speaker 6 (02:51:47):
Somebody who said they also have medically prescribed marijuana. They say,
most of us know, even if it's medically prescribed, you
can't take it anywhere with you.

Speaker 3 (02:51:56):
You can't jump on a plane with it. You can go,
you sure not to Russia with it. Also, look at
two e here at or we saw a lot of this.
We mentioned some of this earlier.

Speaker 6 (02:52:07):
As the Department over Government Efficiency of Government Efficiency is
finding all these problems. One of the things that they're
finding is that people who make, you know, one hundred
and eighty thousand a year, two hundred thousand dollars a year,
seem to have tens of millions of dollars in this

(02:52:28):
It's starting to feel like, as Americans, there was some
sort of slush fund that politicians use that we were
being told it was great use of our tax money.
So a reporter is actually going to confront Elizabeth Warren
about this, and I think you guys were talking about
this earlier.

Speaker 3 (02:52:45):
So here it is. Here's Elizabeth Warrenbeck.

Speaker 22 (02:52:48):
You expose.

Speaker 2 (02:52:50):
All this graduate spending. What is that about? What is
the problem here? What is the problem with transparent? Do
not touch me? Do not touch me?

Speaker 9 (02:52:59):
The one answer a question, how did you get a
twelve million dollar networth on a.

Speaker 3 (02:53:04):
Two hoss thousand dollars salary and conquering an answer? Yeah, yeah,
A lot of answer there, A lot of.

Speaker 2 (02:53:16):
A lot of fast walks and all that, all of
that that corruption that they're exposing.

Speaker 9 (02:53:22):
You know, Democrats, especially democrats that are in government and
in unions, are protesting that. And I don't know if
you guys have heard it, but there's a song, a
protest song about all these uh the uh oh the
things that they're uncovering, and so uh oh, yeah, this
is the this is fantastic. Democrats are marching in DC

(02:53:47):
to protest Doge's crackdown on government waste. The rallying minds
you in the middle of a work day against taxpayers
like you and I, demanding the sort of unaccountable job
security that no one in the private sector could dream of.

Speaker 2 (02:53:59):
You all, And they wrote a song which side are
you on?

Speaker 3 (02:54:05):
Which side are you on?

Speaker 7 (02:54:08):
Me?

Speaker 2 (02:54:08):
Which side?

Speaker 8 (02:54:12):
Which side are you?

Speaker 2 (02:54:14):
We'll fight against change?

Speaker 3 (02:54:18):
Where fights.

Speaker 9 (02:54:22):
Landscap within our walls will fight from dawn to dusk?

Speaker 2 (02:54:28):
Which side are you?

Speaker 3 (02:54:30):
There's yellow scars? Who I can't go?

Speaker 13 (02:54:32):
Look?

Speaker 5 (02:54:35):
Which which side are you?

Speaker 3 (02:54:39):
It's not exactly doesn't kind of have the rhythm of
some of the old slave hams.

Speaker 2 (02:54:46):
Doesn'tf there was was that dust in the wind? My goodness, master,
a lot of pasty.

Speaker 3 (02:54:52):
You're a hasty white leftists? Who would have who would
have thought it had no real hard to it will be.

Speaker 1 (02:55:00):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Don't forget the Wednesday
Bible study today at noon Central Time on the Rick
Burgess Show YouTube channel.

Speaker 3 (02:55:16):
Yeah, that'll be uh. Today we start the Book of
Job today. The Book of.

Speaker 6 (02:55:21):
Job question from the text line. That text line is
eight eight eight six two four for a six ' nine. Hey, Rick,
what were the three questions that Scripture answers?

Speaker 7 (02:55:35):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (02:55:35):
And you have their whoever you are. It was not
the three questions that Scripture answers that no other religion
can answer.

Speaker 3 (02:55:46):
It wasn't that.

Speaker 6 (02:55:47):
It was answers the question that the greatest minds that
human beings have ever produced, and all that we know
about science, you know, all these great minds, all these
geniuses that we have it says, the most knowledgeable human
beings have never been able to answer the three questions
of a child. Only scripture does that that's what you're

(02:56:09):
looking for, and those questions are John Lennox actually talked
about this on the Rick and Bubba Show when he
was on, and that is who am I? Where did
I come from? And why am I here? Those are
the three questions that scripture answers that nothing else answers.

Speaker 3 (02:56:27):
Who am I? Where did I come from? And why
am I here?

Speaker 6 (02:56:32):
So that's the three you work and I see you
send me an email too, so that person I think
has a presentation coming up, and then I can't remember
those three questions. So let me pass those on to
you real quick because it sounds like you need to
need that answer quickly. All right, So let's talk about
simplysafe dot Com slash big Vox. Now, if you're looking

What side are you?

Speaker 5 (02:58:20):
What side are you on? What side are you?

Speaker 12 (02:58:26):
Hey?

Speaker 5 (02:58:27):
What side are you on?

Speaker 6 (02:58:28):
The But no, the that is precious well, they are
so scared that that they're well, Adler brought up.

Speaker 3 (02:58:38):
Yeah, Adler brought up a good point too.

Speaker 6 (02:58:40):
What are these people doing in the middle of the day,
able to get together and sing this horrible song and
they're out they.

Speaker 3 (02:58:46):
Thinking about have been getting paid.

Speaker 6 (02:58:51):
It's almost like saying, we oppose the person who's gonna
out us. Well, yeah, probably you probably want to what
it is. The Trump administration has showed up up. It's
like a new coaching staff taking over a program that
has just turned to pot and no one's been held accountable. No,
everybody walks around here, nobody's hustling, nobody's working, people are
missing practice unexcused. And now the new coach and his

(02:59:13):
staff he show him, says he everything's changing. Yeah, we're gonna,
we're gonna, We're gonna call every clown. And I don't
think they like that very much. A couple of things, Adler.
Look here at the eighth the number eight here when
you say John Rocker and eight b are you talking
about John Rocker who used to play baseball?

Speaker 2 (02:59:32):
Yeah, here's the clip right here.

Speaker 3 (02:59:34):
All right, So John Rocker is interacting with Patrick.

Speaker 2 (02:59:36):
Mahomes, which side unions he.

Speaker 5 (02:59:49):
He wants to watch two bows and Hens, but we
want hand in jail.

Speaker 3 (02:59:55):
Which side.

Speaker 12 (03:00:00):
Side are you?

Speaker 5 (03:00:03):
Which side?

Speaker 2 (03:00:06):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (03:00:06):
Yes, tell me, tell me, tell me what sid you?

Speaker 2 (03:00:11):
Sorry that I'd hear it again.

Speaker 3 (03:00:13):
Pasty white leftist and every now and then they don't
even know how I do to tell me? The black
people have to tell them with that? Yeah they did.

Speaker 6 (03:00:21):
So why is John Rocker and getting in in a
little bit of a trash talk situation with Patrick Mahomes?

Speaker 9 (03:00:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:00:29):
Have you seen this on the on Bourbon Street? Is
this after the game?

Speaker 2 (03:00:32):
This is after the game?

Speaker 9 (03:00:33):
Mahomes dad, Patrick Mahomes dad and John Rocker we're getting
into it.

Speaker 2 (03:00:38):
I don't think I can play the audio because it's
on Bourbon Street.

Speaker 3 (03:00:41):
Okay, where are they?

Speaker 2 (03:00:43):
But they're on Bourbon Street there.

Speaker 3 (03:00:45):
That's John Rocker. He's still jacked by the way, uh huh,
tried to shake his hand.

Speaker 2 (03:00:51):
Yeah, that's Mahomes, his dad who has three d U y's.
But that's not important.

Speaker 3 (03:00:55):
Is wait a minute out of you?

Speaker 6 (03:00:57):
So it's not Patrick Mahomes, it's his dad, yes, yeah, yeah,
And he's getting into it with John Rocker, who of
course has already got a hurricane.

Speaker 3 (03:01:04):
All right, So I wouldn't want to men. John Rocker,
by the way, Okay, he looks pretty Jack. Isn't Mahome's
dad a little bit of a Yeah, he's kind of
he's a character. He yeah, Former Picture and Major League
Picture and he and John Rocker get into it after
the game.

Speaker 8 (03:01:18):
That seems like John Rocker was going out shake his
hand and he slapped his hand through.

Speaker 3 (03:01:22):
Well did John Rocker say something though, I have no
idea or something like that. I don't know. That looks
like that.

Speaker 2 (03:01:27):
John H.

Speaker 3 (03:01:28):
Mahomes his dad was already talking to two guys on
street audio earlier and he told him, what d you?

Speaker 23 (03:01:35):
What side are you?

Speaker 11 (03:01:39):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (03:01:39):
People are saying John Rocker on the X is quite
quite a follow Oh what shy are you?

Speaker 17 (03:01:47):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (03:01:47):
And Adler Uh seems to have discovered that the super
Bowl confetti guy really has get intrigued you, hasn't the
guy shoots all the confetti when I always wondered.

Speaker 2 (03:01:57):
How that, how that happened, how that went down? Is
it canisters? Is it you know, clips like a magazine
or what is it? I'm so close. Yeah, it's a lot.
It's a lot more simple than I thought.

Speaker 9 (03:02:11):
They're just taking it, hands full of it and put
into this machine is blowing up in the air. That's
more simple than I thought.

Speaker 3 (03:02:16):
Okay, so you thought this was a big production. Look,
the guy's just simply.

Speaker 2 (03:02:22):
It's like a wood chipper.

Speaker 3 (03:02:23):
Yeah, he's just dropping it in drop you think it
would have it would be in something that you know,
you guys, I expected that to be a little more
than that. I'm not trying to tell what to do.
Just picked that up and just dump it in a
little in the stage. Yeah, boy, I really, But you
know what he had to decide when he saw the
two different colors, what side.

Speaker 15 (03:02:49):
If he went and grabbed the wrong bag it was
Kansas City's You're like, I'm all right.

Speaker 6 (03:02:55):
Somebody said because of his former time in baseball that
Mahome's dad and Rocker have had this ongoing thing.

Speaker 3 (03:03:02):
Don did y'all know that they don't like each other?

Speaker 7 (03:03:07):
What side are you?

Speaker 6 (03:03:10):
Because I saw the other day that Mahomes has got
a brother, not the one that's always in trouble and
another one different mom that.

Speaker 3 (03:03:19):
Uh play is he getting drafted? He plays like d two?
He played it?

Speaker 7 (03:03:23):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (03:03:25):
One of the IVY leagues goes. I think anyway that
he supposedly is you know, either got drafted or I
don't know. I don't know anything about it.

Speaker 3 (03:03:34):
Started started caring, and in order for us to care
about your story, you have to care about it. I
think I think I was combining too, and I thought,
I'm not doing this. By the way, did y'all watch
the you know the kids see I didn't understand y'all
get that one. Yeah, I has a brother. I was
about as interested in it as you were, But no,

(03:03:56):
I was.

Speaker 6 (03:03:57):
I was watching the pregame, you know, before the Super Bowl,
and I watched that very because I didn't. You know,
how you see something happening, You're like, something's going on
here that I'm not in on. It's the way somebody
feel about the show. I'm sure when you join it.
But when I was watching the Senior Bowl over at
moms Greg with her because she's gonna have football wins
in season, and I see the kid from TCU who

(03:04:20):
wins the game for whatever side of the All Stars.
I can't remember which East West which one he was,
but he catches the ball and had an incredible game.
The whole game was formerly at LSU, then went to TCU.
Can't think of his last name, And I saw everybody
crying when he caught the pass that won the game
for the team he was on, and he was the
most valuable player of the Senior Bowl.

Speaker 3 (03:04:42):
And I'm like, what's all this emotion? Well, see, I
didn't know too. I watched before the Super Bowl. His
brother was killed by the terrorist in New Orleans, Oh.
And they both played football. His brother won't remind me
is the Ivy League.

Speaker 6 (03:04:54):
His brother played for Princeton and was a you know,
a great player, and they grew up playing football a
real close and his brother would supporting him because he
went on to LSU and then on to TCU was
going to get an opportunity to go pro, they were hoping,
and then his brother gets killed and by this terrorist.
So he was out on the field before pregame his

(03:05:15):
family with the others recognizing all those who got killed,
and so now here he is about to be drafted
into the NFL and his brother's not there. So that's
why they were so emotional in the Senior Bowl when
he had such a breakout game and played so well.
And I saw him and his dad and all of
them crying. But you know, if you don't know the story,
you're like, yeah, because for him to get that was

(03:05:36):
a big day for him. For those NFL scouts to
be there. And you know, Greg, if you didn't know that, yeah,
Tiger Yeah was the guy that was killed. They called
him Tiger Tiger Beck and his brother was awful.

Speaker 3 (03:05:48):
Was a standout receiver with TCU and also LSU before that.
All right, we'll come back. We'll see what if you
got fall phone calls, fire those up. Eight eight eight six,
Big Box.

Speaker 9 (03:06:03):
I'm gonna receive that clip from John Rocker from Survivor
what he says, if you were a man, I knock
your teeth out to a woman, it's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (03:06:11):
Okay, Well, all right, we'll come back and we'll wrap
up anything we missed.

Speaker 1 (03:06:15):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Okay, are you ready
to bring something to the table?

Speaker 5 (03:06:29):

Speaker 1 (03:06:29):
No, and get on the show. What eight eight eight
six Big Fox.

Speaker 3 (03:06:37):

Speaker 6 (03:06:41):

are Okay, we do have callers coming in, but you
can get in.

Speaker 3 (03:06:46):

Speaker 3 (03:07:17):
Hey guys, anybody so Adler?

Speaker 22 (03:07:20):
My question is you said you're a Randy Rhoads fan,
and earlier in this week Greg had mentioned Quiet Riot. Well,
Randy Rhoades helped form Quiet Riot. Would you say you're
more of it? Izzie Randy Roads fan or a Quiet
Riot fan? And a question for you, Rick, Yes, I

(03:07:40):
can never win. That's because you can't never have not
so I want to see if I can win something
to spend that wheel who.

Speaker 6 (03:07:47):
I will request out of nowhere following a Randy Rhodes.

Speaker 3 (03:07:52):
But Randy Roads was in quite.

Speaker 6 (03:07:54):
Right before they were anybody knew who they were, right,
he was already and Ozzie when quite right?

Speaker 3 (03:07:59):
Yeah, yeah, but well he had died by that. Yeah.
But I guess were you saying, Austin, maybe we can
access some of Randy Rhoads Motley group, I mean not
quite right stuff.

Speaker 22 (03:08:08):
Can you come and I was just asking what was
you know, where did Admers fall? Because I think you know,
if you listen to some of his early stuff you
hear like Goodbye and Romance, Steal Away the Night and
this is before that the songs were actually made into songs.
They were just you know, fillers that he played in
like a solo.

Speaker 3 (03:08:25):
What do you think interesting?

Speaker 2 (03:08:26):
It's all interesting?

Speaker 3 (03:08:27):
This news to me.

Speaker 9 (03:08:28):
I didn't know Randy roadse and Quiet Right were that
is correct, Metal Health is eighty three.

Speaker 2 (03:08:34):
As well as Come On Feel the Noise. Randy Rose
died in eighty two.

Speaker 3 (03:08:37):
Yeah, he was never part of the original. He was
never part of him. So really Adlers not familiar with
his Quiet Right U catalog Right.

Speaker 22 (03:08:46):
Only one song that is on the album that Randy
Roads played a slick black Cadillac, and that is the
one song he played on that album.

Speaker 2 (03:08:56):
Okay, I know that.

Speaker 6 (03:08:58):
I don't know who do you want to spend the
wheel for? Y'allton Speed or Speedy's on the phones? So
speaking spin he comes, he comes here, It comes here,
he comes a Speedy real quick? Could you spend the
wheel for Austin? Yeah, let's let's see if we can
spend this. Uh, I mean he's asking.

Speaker 3 (03:09:18):
He said he never want anything? All right, So so
here comes Speedy, all right, spend there goes. All right,
Austin is spinning. Let's see what happens here there it goes.
It's spinning, Austin. Okay, let's let's have a look.

Speaker 6 (03:09:35):
Slowing down, slowing down, spin by the way, speedy, big spinner.

Speaker 2 (03:09:39):
Uh wait a second, wait a second.

Speaker 3 (03:09:47):
We gotta check. How can that keep happening?

Speaker 6 (03:09:50):
You were two clicks from having to buy Speedy lunch,
but you've got you got a Blaze TV subscription.

Speaker 3 (03:09:56):
Happened again? What is happening on this wheel?

Speaker 2 (03:10:00):
What's going? That's that's the third time I think in
a row in a row. Okay, we can't have that.

Speaker 3 (03:10:05):
All right, We're putting you on hold, Austin. And so
you did win something.

Speaker 5 (03:10:08):
Hey you can have him Blaze TV.

Speaker 3 (03:10:10):
All right, but enjoy that, Thank you, buddy. Uh let's
go on that one. Let's go to Curtis Curtis in Alabama. Curtis,
go ahead.

Speaker 14 (03:10:23):
Oh yeah, I was just curious, how old do you
think Adam was when he put him, when God put
him on the earth. I have my idea, and then
I Googled it, and I'll tell you what Google said.

Speaker 3 (03:10:32):
What do you think?

Speaker 6 (03:10:33):
Uh, you know, I really don't know. It's obvious he
was an adult. We know that because of the things
that he was given responsibility to do. So I have
no idea the exact age, but I'm good enough that
he was made an adult man.

Speaker 3 (03:10:46):
What do you say?

Speaker 14 (03:10:48):
I say he was one day old? Google said he
was zero years old.

Speaker 6 (03:10:55):
Well, I understand what you're saying, but I mean, he
certainly was not a baby, because things.

Speaker 14 (03:11:00):
Now, he wasn't a baby, but he was one day old,
but he was old enough to take care of the guard.
And I agree he was a grown man. But in years,
I mean far as days and years, wouldn't he be
a day old? That's just me.

Speaker 3 (03:11:11):
I mean I guess so, I guess he would. Curtis,
thank you very much. I thought you were maybe setting
up a joke there or whatever. I guess.

Speaker 17 (03:11:17):
So.

Speaker 6 (03:11:18):
Uh, that's when you know somebody had a great point.
We were talking after the Bible study last week. You know,
even though the percentage of human beings that are going
to unless you're a universalist, if you believe that, you
do have to repent because of our sin and be
made fully righteous by Christ, which we do. You know,
we know that on the grand scheme of human beings,

(03:11:40):
it's not going to be a big percentage, but even
a small percentage of how many people have ever lived
is a big number. Okay, And can you imagine this
is what we talked about. Let's say like that right there,
you want to get an answer on how old or
what was.

Speaker 3 (03:11:56):
The age of Adam?

Speaker 6 (03:11:57):
How many people want to ask that question, like you
want to go over to the apostle Paul and say, now,
so what was the thorn in your flesh? Do you
think that I just have handouts?

Speaker 22 (03:12:06):
Like you like?

Speaker 6 (03:12:07):
You like Paul's over there, and how are you going
to get near him? I mean there's a huge line
show up. So you you think, you like, Paul just
has a place where you just pick up something. Here's
the big questions and you go, he's got the flesh,
the thorn in the flesh laid out for you.

Speaker 3 (03:12:20):
Because they think about the line, they've got.

Speaker 2 (03:12:22):
Maybe a frequently asked questions section, Yeah, a Q something.

Speaker 3 (03:12:27):
Uh, let's go to.

Speaker 6 (03:12:30):
Uh, let's go to Jay out of Birmingham listening to
us on zz K. Hey, Jay, welcome to the Rick
Burger Show.

Speaker 16 (03:12:37):
Thank you, how y'all doing this. I am I ain't
gonna get along winded about anything, but I was gonna
let you know.

Speaker 12 (03:12:47):
I appreciate y'all what y'all do.

Speaker 3 (03:12:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 13 (03:12:50):
I'm going through.

Speaker 12 (03:12:51):
I'm going to a little bit of.

Speaker 16 (03:12:52):
A hard time in live at the moment. Sorry, I
just wanted to, uh let y'all know that. Uh, I
just wake up up and watch y'all, and y'all make
you feel like hanging with the guys and stuff.

Speaker 12 (03:13:03):
So I appreciate.

Speaker 10 (03:13:04):
Joe.

Speaker 6 (03:13:05):
Well, I'm glad and I'm glad to know that in
some small way that God's using us to kind of
help you through a rough patch and we can help
you it all always reach out, happy to help any
way we can. Kind of you to call and say
that Jordan out of Scottsborough, Jordan, go ahead.

Speaker 23 (03:13:21):
Hey guys, I didn't know if y'all knew this, but
the Bible actually says that men will get to heaven
before women.

Speaker 3 (03:13:29):
Go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 23 (03:13:31):
Revelation Revelation eight one says when the Lamb opened the
Seventh Seal, there was silence in heaven for about half
an hour.

Speaker 3 (03:13:37):
Okay, you're terrible, terrible, terrible.

Speaker 6 (03:13:40):
I have actually heard that joke before I was I've
heard it said this way that it's evidence that no
women get to heaven. But anyway, Yeah, so that's all right,
you'll have to deal with that. I have another one.
That's that's we don't have time for Jack and Coleman Adler.
He's got a question for you.

Speaker 14 (03:13:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (03:13:59):
Did you get that more smell that I sent you to?

Speaker 16 (03:14:02):
Jack?

Speaker 2 (03:14:02):
I have none. No, Okay, I honestly haven't gotten into that.

Speaker 3 (03:14:09):
