Speaker 1 (00:08):
Big Bucks Enter Team. But please, AM's the Rick Burgess
Show with Speedy, Greg Burgess, Edie Van Adler and Rick Bouches.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Well here it is. The game's all here. It's time
for another one. It's a brand new hour on a
brand new day. As you heard, the great ken Osburn
has told you the starting lineup, Speedy, Greg Burgess, Adler
and yours truly, oh number one, Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
All right, So we got lots to cover, so much
to cover today, fine today, a lot of serious talk too.
We do it all here. So here's some things that
are still to come today. All right, So we're gonna
we'll look back a little bit. Yesterday. We hit the
inauguration pretty hard yesterday. But now other things have happened. Uh,
and we'll we'll we'll look at some of those things

(01:05):
we didn't cover. How are Southerners dealing with not a
little bit of snow? A lot of snow? Okay, I'm
talking about deep sound. We've got some we got some videos,
we've got some features. Thank Alli for sending those to
us too. Funny stuff. Uh, so we'll talk about that today. Uh,
your phone calls will be part of it. Got got

(01:27):
a letter from email that we'll answer on on the
program today. A really a really deep question.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
It's been referenced a few times and the guys like,
and you know, we and we call this maybe something
we can develop on the new show. Hey Birge. Uh,
He's like, hey man, I've heard you talk about this
and I don't fully understand it.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I was wondering if you could explain it a little
deeper in the answer is yes. I even told them,
I said, look, i'll email you if you miss it.
But this is such a good question, we're gonna deal
with it on the show today. So we got that
coming up. We we do have for those of you
that those of you that I been waiting on Tales
from the camp House episode two. It will be out today.

(02:06):
Adler has it you. Young Broderick has finished it. All
he's got to do is go through the process of
putting the title on it and getting it ready. It'll
be on our YouTube channel after the show is over today,
when the live show ends. That should be out maybe
a half hour after that. So midday today you should
be able to get it on our YouTube channel. A
brand new Bible study. Today we're getting close to finishing Daniel.

(02:30):
We'll get some more out of chapter eleven today. We'll
try to keep Greg interested since he thought last week
was more of a history lesson. There's some more of
that today, but it gets we're continuing. I actually have
people tell me that they got a lot out of
that lesson last week. I didn't say didn't get a
lot out of it? Is this very informative? It is?
It is said it was boring. Yes. Now here's the

(02:51):
question out out of the text line, did you Rick?
I notice you have a Blaze media pullover on? Did
you get that from Blaze? Yeah, that's the first question
and a strange thing. Speedy got it for me from
the statue. Yeah, no, yes, it is Fox News. Yeah yeah, yeah, no, No,

(03:13):
this is it. And I don't know whether you know.
I'm not sure if this is available available to the public.
It may be staff only. I don't know whether this
is in their store or not. But they sent me this.
Yes it is, so, thank you for asking. Uh So,
now you know that's a that's a pretty pretty common
running theme today because when we came to work today,
we all have zip ups and hoodies and we all

(03:37):
it looks like we're all in black today. It just
it's just the way it worked out. But when we
came no, keep in mind, we're from We're from Sweet Home, Alabama.
As we all rolled to the office today, we rolled in.
Greg started out at eleven degrees. It warmed up to
a bomby fourteen when he got when he got to
the one the metro city. Uh, the rest of us

(03:58):
came in at fourteen for teen degrees. So and I
know for some of you it's even colder than that
out there, so we'll we'll talk about some of that.
Winter weather is still a big topic. The good news
is for those of you traveling to Birmingham for the
Man Church Conference this weekend, sixteen different states represented and growing,
you're not gonna have any issues. We didn't get anything.

(04:20):
We're fine. No travel problems here and they certainly won't
be any by Friday, so because it's going to be
in the fifties Friday and Saturday. So there you go.
We do, we do, and we got to go back in.
So when this is something I noticed, and this is
one of those I know, Greg, you you you're one
of these. You're you're a runner. You know when you

(04:40):
start doing a little better. You thought running should be
part of that. Yeah, yeah, but I'm not talking about
some marathons. I'm just saying, but no, yes, I use
that as a form of exercise. I got all kinds
of issues that make running not a good choice for me. Code,
weather not good. Well, so what I'm gonna tell you
don't believe what I saw coming in. You're not gonna
believe it. I understand people's commitment to run. There's some

(05:03):
people they are committed to the run. Calvin Speedy, Wilbert,
Greg Burgess Adler, they're committed to running. I've never seen
the commitment that I saw. Now I realize this show
is available to people anytime they want it. I even
know that affiliates many terrestrial radio stations on the network.
Some of them this show is a midday show. Some

(05:24):
it's an afternoon show. A lot of them it is
a morning show. But I'm just going to get in
the real world. Like when I drove past this person,
I'm going to tell you what time it was and
what the temperature was on the dashboard of the round
fifteen hundred. Okay it was four to nine, Okay, four

(05:46):
eleven am ish. We'll call it four to ten. I
look up. I look up and I see what I think?
What is that? There's lights? Glad they did that. There's
lights coming at me on the out of the road.
I'm they're doing what they should do. They're facing where
traffic would be, okay, so they can see, which is
what you're supposed to do if you're on a bike

(06:07):
or running. And I see some reflective things and I
think to myself, that can't be anybody running. That cannot
be a person running. No way, that's a person. Yes,
what in the world? And as I started getting closer
it was someone running. They had still they had on
like a look like one of those wet suit things.
You know, the rubbery thing you put on. Yeah, they're

(06:30):
going surfing, yeah in the winter. Yeah. And they're running
and they've got something over their face, and they've got
a headlight on, and they've got some reflected things on
this wet suit looking thing and they're running. They're running
at four to ten a m at fourteen degrees. Let
me give you some advice. You have options here. Here's
good grief if you want to run today, which I say,

(06:51):
just skipped the whole day because obviously This person runs
a lot if you're that committed, so it ain't gonna
hurt you, no, right, but why don't you wait till
later in the day and let it at least get
up in the I mean, they always do this before.
But how God does that to go? I'm on miss today.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Yeah, and I know treadmills can be expensive, but grab
if you can't do something machine, you know, just.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
What about their lungs? How do they breathe in that cold?

Speaker 7 (07:16):
How your fingers?

Speaker 8 (07:20):
I could run without a shirt on, I couldnot run without.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
How about them? I actually support that person's decision.

Speaker 8 (07:28):
To go run at this time in these conditions because
they've obviously got something going on in their life. Maybe
some crushing debt there, you're worried about, divorce is coming,
some something infidelity in the past.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (07:46):
Something is motivating them to get out there, and it's
I think it's preventing them from just driving, you know,
off a cliff.

Speaker 7 (07:52):
So more power to your person. It's okay, it gets better.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
So you're saying, you're saying this is obviously therapeutic. Yeah,
and it could be making society safer, and it might
be be making them safer to themselves.

Speaker 7 (08:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can do it.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Whatever it is, you can do it this way because
the person obviously, my first thought was and it wouldn't
matter that much. But who has to run that early
to make it to work? I know, I mean other
than somebody like us. But I mean, first of all,
they got a very very early workday. I guess yeah.
And they might run across the part. I'm gonna run
across the park two covered up. Couldn't tell, but it

(08:30):
was a dude, for sure, they had I don't know,
I didn't get that good a look. You can at
least say this. They're equipped for it. You said they
had as I guess that's what that was. It have
to be. How could you run it? But I don't
know how your loans breathe arctic air like that? Man?

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Are they training this? Are they preparing for something? I
know it's not just out there to do better. Surely
they have a deadline, a marathon or something they're running
that they have.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
To get it in. You missed one day. You just
you just convicted me a little bit.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
It.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
I should have slowed the truck down and said, hey,
it's gonna be all right.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
Yeah, I'm praying for you.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Jesus.

Speaker 7 (09:06):
Jesus loves you, and I'm trying.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Don't forget when we had our snow last week or
whenever it was, and it was what two three inches
very cold. When we were in the lock goofing off,
a person came by with a pair of shorts on
you're right, but Liss, admit the short but it wouldn't
but it was snowing. Yeah, well that's true. But but
I mean, Greg, this what we got right now. I
thought this would be no matter who you are. This

(09:29):
is the I'm not running today. Well oh yeah, absolutely, yeah,
yeah absolutely. By the way, as a man and as
a runner, Adler is one hundred percent right. That's from
the text life so much, stumbpacks to day so much.

Speaker 9 (09:49):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Three cities, three powerful weekends,
the men church conferences, worship, challenge, discipleship and fellowship all

(10:16):
in one life changing weekend. Get your tickets now for Birmingham,
Panama City or Atlanta at Themanchurch dot com Birman Disciplemen
change everything.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You're this weekend and excited about that. Man, we are
so far to uh and you'll see the guys Speedy,
Greg and Adler will be there too, and got the
word yesterday this is not going to surprise you at all. Okay.
So I there's a lot of people that day been
telling me, you know that I need to a lot

(10:50):
of me be coming around the show.

Speaker 10 (10:52):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I'm like, yeah, yeah, I was talking to Adler. He
really loved you being here, and you know, everybody liked
you being here. Gear's great. You know, I'm glad you're
willing to you know, everybody's always loved you and they're
glad that you're going on with us with the new project. Hey, uh,
I'm gonna come on to you meeting, I think. And
I was like, what, huh, you know, I think I'm on.

(11:15):
I think I'm on. Is it odd if I come
on to the meeting the meeting and I was like,
I was like, buddy, I and I was in the
middle of something, and I was like, matter of fact,
he called me right when I saw my calendar yesterday.
When I started texting you, I was like, oh my gosh,
you is that today? And I had it on the
wrong day, but right in the middle of that. Okay,
So I keep in mind, I'm watching for your response,

(11:38):
and so I'm not really I'm not really paying attention
as much, you know, because he kept calling me, so
I thought, well, there's something happened. I thought a pip
burst at the farm or which about? Hey call me?
We got bathed and he said, I mean, do you
want to ride together? And you want me to just
meet you there? And I was like, buddy, I don't
know what you're talking about. What meeting? You're talking me?

(12:00):
You know what y'all doing over with a man church?
I said, you're about the conference. I said, you're talking
about the conference? Well, I mean yeah, I said, a meeting.
But but you but is that? What is that is?
That is? Is that rule America? You call something going
on to the church? Hey, you going? Didn't meet them? Yeah? Yeah, Hey,

(12:21):
y'all having a meeting at so anyway, so Gary is
going to be this It's a long way to go,
but it's to say that that it looks like, of
course I had to deal with this. Hey, let me
ask you something. Now, keep in mind, we've been planning
this conference for over a year, and let me ask
you something. Is it too much trouble for me to
set up my turkey couch. He didn't say, and I said, yes,

(12:44):
it is. I just I didn't even let it off
the ground. Yes, yes, it is too much trouble. It
is on the weeke up. We're not We're not doing that.
It is Gary, we are. We are seventy two hours away.
Does he not remember what happened? He tried to take
some turkey calls to one of the events time and
I brought that up. I brought that up his arm
like a bear trap. I said, yeah, this said said

(13:05):
the church. Church gatherings are called meetings. People are saying, hey,
we got a church meeting, right, But I thought that
was when you business meeting or whatever conference is it
to meeting? But anyway, bottom line is for those of you,
so you will, you'll you'll get to have a great weekend.
We got incredible speakers. Hugh Freeze Friday Night, Andy Blanks

(13:25):
Friday night, I speak a little Friday Night. I also
be talking about this this resource that's available to you
exclusively that I can't talk about on the air. And
then yet yeah yeah, and then and Speedy Greg Adler
and now Gary uh from the Rick Burgess Show. We'll
we'll have stuff out in the lobby that you can
meet everybody.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
And of course we're gonna have great worship too, and
so it'll be a great weekend. So that's just a
little bonus gets added right here at the end. So
maybe Gary can bring some pictures of him and two. Yeah, hey,
lace the tag. So y'all got a table or something?
I said, yeah, we have, We're gonna they're gonna be
out there. We got a logo. Hey, can I put
a picture? You may get fair word of the state
record turkey. No, No, this is late. I'm thinking about, Hey,

(14:07):
you want me to cook some crappy No, we can't do. Gary,
it's too late for all that. You just need to
be there some time. And I said now. And then
of course, then I thought, well, now let me get
something out of this, because I finally got the reassuring
text for you at this point.

Speaker 11 (14:21):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
But I'm okay and uh and I said so, and
I said, I'm going to I said, I didn't want
to ask you, but now that you've called, I said,
and of course, you know, uh, probably I said, probably
right before you freeze, I want to get you up
for your testimony. What I said, well, you know, you
get up people are probably here here you talking. I
ain't getting up here in saying nothing. Now, maybe some

(14:42):
acapella singing. I said, yeah, would you mind? I mean
I could play the piano if y'all need somebody. Let
him get.

Speaker 9 (14:53):
So.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Anyway, So Gary now added, Gary now added to the
lineup this weekend, so you'll see Gary too. Hey. I
probably just made their Friday though. Okay, that's fine here,
so uh artist squirmish yeah, oh gosh uh. And we
have something coming with our Gary thing too, that speeding out.

(15:13):
It's got to happen. We must put that together. Okay, Okay,
Kirk kurb Street. Now I want to thank all of
y'all for Oh I see prayer meeting, revival meeting. Okay,
I have heard prayer meeting before. Yeah, so anyway, you
might have.

Speaker 6 (15:27):
To set up and play on the other end because
it's going to press up to the bottom.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So here's look. I love all y'all out there with
all my heart. I really do. It's a lot of fun.
And we're in the time where there's so much access
and so much access to information. But what I've noticed is,
you know, we're a little bit we're not afraid to
put out bad information, will put out bad information in
a second passion. Uh, well, we tend right now, as
a in general, we tend to be a group of

(15:51):
people who overreact and exaggerate. And so some some people work,
some people are in the proper place, they're they're having
some fun with it. Others are using terms like that
we what was the word the Herb Street that we
we ripped him to shreds yesterday or something you know
Greg did first first of all on the crying thing,
some of it was tongue in cheek and some of

(16:12):
it we were really speculating on the wonder why I
was so emotional about the team right right, And so
some of you kind of exaggerated. Well maybe some of
you may may be new to the show. If you
thought yesterday that was us getting on somebody, you don't
know much about this show. No, when we get on somebody,
you will know it. That was that was just us,

(16:33):
you know, sitting there going let's speculate. And of course
you know everything we do is got a little tongue
in cheek in it. So uh we now we now
have Pat McAfee of all people, uh has has Kirk
Herb Street and Kirk has addressed it, and it kind
of goes back to what Adler said about the runner today.
Uh And by the way, another texture, if you ever

(16:55):
see me running in those conditions in that time of day, Rick,
just describe, please pull over and help me. There's no
doubt I need help. Yah epis. And so it seems
to have been a lot of things. And look, we've
all been there, a lot of things piling up at
one time. Have you ever got emotional sometimes and everybody
thinks you're emotional about the thing that's happening right then,

(17:17):
but what they don't realize is there's a mound of
other things that were piling up, and this just happened
to be the straw you know that that that got
you got You really didn't with not just this, but
all the other things that you've been emotional about. And
it appears that that's that's what we have here now. Again,
there's there's a lot of people out there firing off
things that are completely wrong. Kirk Kurbstreet's son did not die,

(17:38):
as a lot of you have said, uh, and and
and that he was on the team as some of
you had yesterday, but apparently it was Uh did have
some health issues that kept him from playing and he
was medically unable to be part of the team. But
apparently coach was very kind to him and kept him
on the team and all that. So we'll come back

(18:00):
and we'll just let you hear. But but yeah, that
was I just I love this person. No, you destroyed
him and you've done it delivered.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
Yeah, yeah, now, Adler and Greg did destroy it.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
I didn't destroy him.

Speaker 7 (18:13):
This guy, Okay, real man cry.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
He is a commentator. Yeah, and he was calling the
ball game and I was just wondering what he is
so emotional badm like, he's never seen Ohio State win? Right, Hey, what's.

Speaker 7 (18:26):
This guy's name here with him?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Pat mcavin are the other guy.

Speaker 7 (18:31):
I didn't realize after he watched his nose.

Speaker 12 (18:33):
Fowler had to give him a little pad of like
reassurance on his shoulder.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
That hurt.

Speaker 7 (18:37):
You don't want to see that him.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. In order to truly
benefit from this show, you must have a sense of humor.
So late enough Francis and enjoy the Wick Bridge.

Speaker 13 (19:04):
Just show.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Lighting up, Franciss. Okay, we're back, Thanks for being with us. Today,
a lot to do.

Speaker 14 (19:11):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Wednesday, Bible study back today noon Central, one o'clock eastern.

Speaker 15 (19:16):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Well, we'll keep rolling through chapter eleven the Book of
Daniel today. The archive will be out soon after. Okay.
So I will say this talking about Kirk Herbstreet and
we have the update we're about to play for you,
I will say this, Uh, And I guess I'm now
putting two and two together. He he did reach out
to me, Kirk did, and he's asked me about my

(19:38):
health and my what and I sent him my breakfast plan.
Now maybe maybe looking back that was a mistake. No,
So here here is pains, a lot, pins a lot.
Here's uh, here's Pat McAfee and he's he's talking about that,
he's fine with it, that he's just caught up in
the moment of Ohio State and his love of that

(20:00):
program where he played little ball, where his son played,
and and he's emotional about this team and all that
is he you say, the guy's name is it Ryan
Don day Ran, Yeah, and all he's been through and
in the Great n I all they got to get
all right?

Speaker 6 (20:17):
And he brings up Chip Kelly, who we offered sure
you know which was a great move, by the way,
and really a brilliant offensive guy. So and he brings
up a J Hawk who's with He's with the broadcast
and also played with a Hoivesteak because he says that
AJ became emotional a little bit too, so and he
sets all that up.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
So then Kirk says, well, yes, I was emotional about
the game, but there was also a mountain of emotions.
So here is Pat McAfee talking to Kirk Herbstreet.

Speaker 16 (20:47):
Baslely, your son is on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Zach
who we obviously know dog good dude, love his vibes,
love his energy. He's on the team. He's now a
national champion forever. AJ was holdingeers last night at the
end of the game whenever we were on the sideline
and he tried to divert it, you know, classic.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
DJ, he was, yeah, what do you do next year?

Speaker 13 (21:07):
Now?

Speaker 2 (21:07):
You know that was our case.

Speaker 16 (21:09):
He was like, you know, but he was emotional for
Ohio State to win that. I think he was so
proud of that team. I think he is a massive
fan of all those players because of what they had
to deal with.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
I think he understands it.

Speaker 16 (21:19):
Being an Ohio guy in Ohio around all Ohio State
fans played there, like, I think he gets it, so
I think he was fighting back emotions as well. And
then we saw you a Scott fan palet after the
game and Chris Faller and the booth where you got
emotional as well last night. And obviously anytime somebody gets
emotional on television, that's going to be reacted to.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
But for us, I thought it was cool, man. I
thought it was cool to watch you.

Speaker 16 (21:42):
Kind of let the world know how you actually feel,
as opposed to just being these baby blue eyes in
a suit calling the game. You're an Ohio guy, you're
a former president of Ohio, your kids on that team.
I really appreciated what you did. And did you know
it was coming?

Speaker 3 (21:59):
When?

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Did you know you working to be want to hold
it in?

Speaker 16 (22:00):
And how how do you feel after a situation like
this happens on national television, Kirk?

Speaker 10 (22:08):
I guess I only know how I feel at the time.

Speaker 17 (22:11):
I you know, that's not something you think about or predict,
It's just it was almost like a perfect storm for me.

Speaker 10 (22:18):
My son had heart failure two years ago.

Speaker 17 (22:20):
They were talking about a heart replacement there for a
while and he had to medically retire.

Speaker 10 (22:28):
And Ryan Day.

Speaker 17 (22:29):
I think the gratitude I had for Ryan Day putting
his arms around Zach and.

Speaker 10 (22:32):
Keeping him involved.

Speaker 17 (22:34):
You know, he's he's almost like a ga with what
he was doing. And Ryan insisted on putting his arms
around him, Chip Kelly, all these guys. So there was
that side of it, looking down and seeing him in
his jersey after, you know, potentially facing.

Speaker 10 (22:48):
You know, replacing your heart to that.

Speaker 17 (22:52):
I haven't really talked about this publicly, but you know,
Ali Ali, my wife face some stuff.

Speaker 10 (22:57):
It's been a tough year for me behind the scenes.

Speaker 17 (23:01):
My wife had got diagnosed with breast cancer, you know,
Ben dies.

Speaker 10 (23:05):
It was just a lot of emotion and when you're
do what we do, you.

Speaker 17 (23:11):
You endure, you know, you do your job. And I
think what happened, I didn't couldn't predict it, but when
they won, I was so happy for Ryan Day and
those players that I just talked about because of what
they faced and all the stuff behind the scenes.

Speaker 10 (23:24):
It was like it was almost like, I don't know,
maybe a release of all.

Speaker 17 (23:28):
That penned up stuff and it just it just got
got the best of me. I don't I'm an emotional
guy in general, you know, and and when things touch
my heart, I just I'm not good at talking, you
know that. When that happens and Scott came to me,
I was already a little bit kind of dealing with it.

(23:48):
And then he came to me first, and I was like,
why do you got to come to me kind of thing?
And that's what I was, just real. It was just
me talking, and I think, like I said, it was
a perfect storm of emotions of a lot of stuff
going through my head and looking down and seeing my son, my.

Speaker 10 (24:00):
Wife is in the booths with me. You know. It
was just it was it was a lot.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
And that's understandable. Greg. I had a question go ahead
that Kirk games that he calls he won't even pick,
so you can't. I'll be kind of curious. I go,
here's the guy who's that professional about it, not wanting
to show any favoritism whatever. And he squalled and across
his team one. I thought that was a little much.

(24:28):
I mean, that's fine. Let me rephrase that surprising surprising.
Are you satisfied now?

Speaker 13 (24:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Yeah, okay? Are you okay with that? It was Greg?

Speaker 13 (24:39):
Greg?

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Now I'm telling you stop, Greg stop. Look, I like
Kirk Kurtstreet. I think game is really good.

Speaker 7 (24:45):
I can tell.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Look, I like everything he does.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
But I can tell.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
But y'all understand why I'm saying. I was surprised because
he's always so professional to make sure that he doesn't
show he like I said, he won't even pick the
games he's college. I really don't understand, by the way, Well,
that's him trying to be above the phrase. When you
you know he absolutely pulls for a state, so really.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
Win when you get do you always make fun of
people when you get surprised?

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Yes, Okay, Okay, that's pretty that's what you did. Well,
you default that you're different. They're they're basically guilty until
they prove theirself innocent. Ok First, I think he has
real men cry real men, no doubt about that.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
But and I know that people are attached to their dogs.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
But did you guys notice she was like my wife
breast cancer, dog died. I mean he went he kind
of brushed over that went straight to the I mean,
within the same breath, he's mentioning those two things. I
would be divorced if I did that. Well, I think
he was trying to not put it on the same level.
He wouldn't sure whether he should give the full extent
of the diagnosis. I think, you know, he kind.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Of held back on that, and okay, well.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
He was just.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
So, you know, been working with y'all a long time, Brothers.
You're trying to bait me, and I'm not gonna take it. Okay,
I know what you're seems like, what do you think
I'll let you have that?

Speaker 7 (26:11):
What do you think, Rick?

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I think I'm on record what I think.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Yeah, like you put them close to the same life.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Well, I don't think so. I tend to agree with
which I can't believe what I'm saying. Greg on this one.
I think you just started running the list and it
had to be on there. I don't think there was
any order. I think on shoes, should I share this
or not?

Speaker 6 (26:27):
And I'll say this too. I think if his wife's
not in the booth, he might not get emotional. But
he looks over and sees her breast cancer survivor.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
She was in the looks too. I didn't, yeah, he said.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
He says that I wasn't then and then looks down.
Trying to weigh that to a win for Oklahoma.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Well, he looks down as a father is a mom
and dad and sees their son who's been through what
they've been through, then what she's been through, and it
just it just hit him.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
Yeah, Chstos rooms real low.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
It seems like people are saying, look, don't forget you
had to look at of course though in that let
trying to make a pick, and that made him say,
if anybody thinks that this but see, that's that's hard
for me to believe. Kurk greg Yeah, he had the
little and you didn't see that. I'm so glad you
didn't because you couldn't understand what he said. If it

(27:15):
wouldn't have been for the suit he had on, I'm
not sure who. Yeah, let me let me put it
this way. He gurgled so bad and mumbled something in
that in that little Leprechaun suit. It was so hard
to understand. He made Joe Biden in his last speech
sound like John Maxwell. Okay, and that's hard to do,
all right, So so so listen, okay on this. I

(27:39):
know that everybody is concerned because people are saying, everybody
be careful here now. I don't know when how this
has happened. They said, y'all have clearly got Beth Mowen's
less ball games. You've clearly caused Tony Romo to calm down.
And now I'm worried that y'all gonna y'all gonna somehow
keep get Kirk kurb Street taking off the broadcast. We

(27:59):
don't have that the power. No. Yeah, by the way,
that's a funny one. Yeah. I think he's explained it,
and I think that his explanation is makes sense. Sure.
Plus his commitment to not showing favoritism may be trying
to beef that up a little too. Man, here we
go just saing where you're at it? Why not? I
know where you're trying to get. He didn't like it

(28:20):
because he didn't like that it looked like he was
all worried about Ohio State winning, right. You look like
to me that that he really opened up and was
being just raw and real because he didn't have to
give us an explanation for anything. He could have just
said I got emotional. But I think he just opened
up and was was just being real and said, now
this is this is kind of what I was feeling.

(28:43):
I know, y'all, I know, y'all.

Speaker 7 (28:44):
I found Courso's pick.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Or trying to find something in it. But I'm not
trying to find anything in it. I found it. Here
we go? All right, Speedy was free? Why would we
do this to Speedy? This may have something to do
with the way Kurtin was acting. Okay, here we go.

Speaker 7 (29:00):
Sh wasn't.

Speaker 16 (29:03):
If I would do Irish coach, I would tell him, look,
Michigan dats guys.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Thisigan didn't.

Speaker 7 (29:10):
And they were twenty one quite favorites, were only eight?
Have we got it made.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Gold liveries?

Speaker 7 (29:19):
Whether fifteen? That is your child?

Speaker 14 (29:22):
What I remember?

Speaker 2 (29:24):
It was worse than I remember? Was it cold? They
weren't outside? No, they were inside. Had Kirk already gone
up to the broadcast? Because I saw Patrie he wasn't
even on the set that what did he his last word?
I picked her? Or what what did he say? Just then?

Speaker 8 (29:37):
His mic wasn't on to think, which tells me they
don't leave his mic card.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
They don't. Yeah, I think they don't think say something.
It's something, yes, it's something yes. And I understand the
producer so well. The I think he was trying to
say their fifteenth national championship, and is that what he's saying,
and it all just kind of ran together. It was
worse than I remember. This is you have about decided

(30:03):
see any of that here. This is where I'm not
sure that Kirk kurb Street is all that loving and
caring because he won't remove Lecorso from this set. I mean,
how can anybody let this go on if he didn't
have that lever gun suit and we have no idea
who he did. Know A great point we've right back.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
This is the Rick Burchers Show, God Fearing and America Loving,
the Rick Burcher's Show.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
You got it, baby, and we're glad you're here with
us today as we crank out another one. Some of
your phone calls coming up. Probably we'll try to do
some maybe next Now we're eight eight eight, the number
six big vox. All right, So here it is, speaking
of this, we have the final AP top twenty five.

(31:08):
So if you're wondering how college football finished, we certainly
know that Ohio State rightfully so number one earned it
on the field, deserved everything they got, even it caused
Greg to take squalding a little bit. So number two,
Notre Dame. They dropped there to Notre Dame. Number three,

(31:29):
little surprising Oregon. I surprised you a little bit over Texas. So,
but Texas did have three losses so by the time
by the time the playoff was over, So Texas number four.
So then Penn State, Georgia, Arizona State, Boise State number eight,

(31:52):
Tennessee nine, Greg's favorite team Indiana ten, oh boy Ole,
miss eleven, SMU twelve, by U thirteen, fourteen, Clemson fifteen,
Iowa State sixteen, Illinois seventeen, Rod Tight. You don't cut it,

(32:14):
shouldn't even be in there, and you shouldn't even be
in there in eighteen, Miami nineteen, South Carolina twenty, Syracuse
twenty one, Army Wow twenty two, Missouri twenty three, U
n l V. Memphis twenty four, Colorado Coach Sanders twenty five. Amen. No,

(32:41):
I mean there's some things you kind of go, but
I mean no real surprises. No, Well, let me ask
you this question. Okay, let me ask this question. Let's
just ask this forget the order except for the top,
because it all matters. Do y'all think that I just
read to you the twenty five best teams in college
football for god Auburn this year.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Right?

Speaker 14 (33:01):
Sorry?

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Sorry, but at the time do y'all think that's the
twenty five best teams. You tell it's it's that's tough.
Give me more effort, Greg, that was terrible. It's so unmeaningful.
Doesn't mean crap. I'm trying to get my head around it.
You could say meaningless. Yeah, yeah, this is a tough one.
But I guess so.

Speaker 6 (33:21):
I mean Navy is just on the outside looking in.
They had a pretty good season, but I don't know who.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Yeah he is still stand for Navy. You know he's
in the Navy. Uh so you sell this, Greg past
five year lost? Yeah, mad about the top twenty five, Greg,
and it means what hey, but you were number six?

Speaker 13 (33:42):
Like okay, good?

Speaker 2 (33:43):
What No, Greg, it's funny you said that. I don't
even know what this is possible. My teachers would all
say it is. I lost interest in it. I was
reading because you're going do you know, if you're a
Bama fans, you probably used fourteen as something to go
that we're better. We need to be better than that, right, Well?
Is that what you can't? So the individual fan bases
can find themselves on the list if they're on it,

(34:05):
yeah and say okay, we yeah, that's about where we
were or you know, you think Oregon feels good about
that ranking after getting that shell acking.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
No, no one.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Well that's the thing that that a playoff does that
the old way didn't do if you weren't in it. See,
I bought all in to that Oregon could play with
Ohio State. I honestly bought into that, only to discover
when they matched up it was a terrible matchup. Yeah,
they beat them early. Yeah, I mean it was close. Yeah,
but it was close. But by the end of the season, see,

(34:37):
I think I'm going to see that again and goes
and then all of a sudden, I like, wow, these
two teams. How did Ohio State get this much better
than Oregon after Oregon beat them in the early end
the season? That it shows you, doesn't it. But if
you also know, when you see the way the bracket's going,
I don't want to have to play them again. You
can't beat them twice, you know, there's just too good.

(34:57):
I agree with you on the text option gate fans.
I thought Florida when they did, for when they got
their backs against the wall and the coach's job was
on the line, they came alive. They did, And you
really did finish strong. But but and that's good enough
to help, that's good enough. It doesn't you're ranking that.
You got to feel better about your team, which I should.

Speaker 6 (35:19):
I do think that, and I think they'll correct it,
and we haven't. A kind of brought this up yesterday
on conference championships and you know mid majors that have
great seasons and blah blah blah blah blah. I think
those are the ones that have to be on the bubble.
I mean, these power forwards or or the these strength
of schedules have got to come into play. And those

(35:42):
are the ones that that I won't say, yeah, I
mean because I just think that the bubble teams everything
was kind of just misplaced a little bit.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
But it's the first year because and I understand that
the Boise thing happened the way it did because Clemson
was ranked lower than Boys, right, Yeah, they normally it
would be a team that was ranked higher. It didn't
work out that way. Yeah, So that's why Boys ended
up with a bye, or otherwise they wouldn't have.

Speaker 6 (36:08):
Yeah, And I think Saban brought it up best when
he said that, you know, the Boise States are the
un l v's and all those that were up there
at six or seven. He said the problem is that
they shouldn't have been at six and seven. They should
have been there on the bubble and if they win,
they go, you know what I mean, versus the others,
because he said he just felt like that was a
little bit everybody was kind of misplaced a little bit.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
But they'll figure it out. Yeah, I mean, I'm glad
they're having the playoffs and all that. Yeah. Yeah, I
mean I wasn't. It wasn't as exciting as I wanted
it to be.

Speaker 13 (36:35):
But I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
But I think even though it was a week long
and play then and then we wait here, then we
play here, we got to mix a bowl in now
we're calling it the Bowl, but it's it's also a
playoff game. I should have enjoyed it more more than
I did. And I'm really gonna deal with that. I mean,
that's ago.

Speaker 12 (36:51):
Tennessee got waxed, SMU got waxed, Indiana got waxed.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
That hurt.

Speaker 7 (36:57):
That was the first round.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
Yeah, you're right, yeah, and that and I know it
was only a week longer, but it just seemed like
it was so extended that we all lost a little
bit of interest. Unless you were a fan of the
teams that were still in there, then you're all in,
of course. But I will say that this college football fan,
it was just long.

Speaker 18 (37:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
I would like it better if they did away with
all boats and played home and home thank you at stadium.
You either travel to their stadium or they come.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
To your well.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
I would help, Yeah, I think too.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Though.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
The good news is is we all sit here right now.
If you're a college football fan, and I know some
of you aren't, but if you are, I don't think
there's anybody though that can make the case the best
team didn't didn't win the championship. They did. The best
team one they did, and they proved it and there's
really no disputing that.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Now.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
I agree with some of you that are texting, going,
how in the world can Army get twenty one when
Navy beat them head to head? So I didn't know.
Is that what happened game? Did they did the Navy
beat them? I think so? I can't remember. We can't remember.
Textures sometimes can be wrong. They'll be wrong sometimes. Yeah,
but did Army? I thought who won that game?

Speaker 6 (37:58):
To see blah blah blah, Navy beat them thirty one thirteen.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Oh my, and and then Army gets twenty one.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Just meet him.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
In there.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
And then Army got into the Bowl game and beat
LA Tech twenty seven to six in the Bowl Games.

Speaker 7 (38:18):
I did not know if the Navy midshipman was the
name of the parents.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
Where you been where?

Speaker 7 (38:23):
And then the Army Black Knights. I thought it was
just Army Navors.

Speaker 14 (38:26):
What are you called?

Speaker 19 (38:27):

(40:54):
people that never get snow. It's a lot of fun,
understand others in winter weather, it's always a blast, but
we're talking about this time. This particular winter storm brought snow,
lots of snow to people who get it even less.

(41:15):
This is deep deep, I mean it literally was called
by James span and others a Gulf Coast runner. Now,
I want you to imagine you're going to Florida. It
is actually called the Free State of Florida and Florida.
But also what the Sunshine States is. People sending this
picture like Adler just showed of the Welcome to Florida

(41:36):
sign the Sunshine State and snow is everywhere. And some
of you, like Biloxi, sent me a picture of the
beach there and there were palm trees in snow. It's
like they showed me. They didn't show me just the area.
They showed me. The beach here is Florabama. Now, Floriabama
is called that because it sits right on the line

(41:57):
between Florida and Alabama. For some of you, this is
the world famous Florabama.

Speaker 7 (42:02):
Wow, it's been so long.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yes, hello, old friend.

Speaker 5 (42:09):
Right now.

Speaker 6 (42:13):
But friends of mine that are still down in Passago
in Mississippi, witches right there on the Gulf coast, they're
sending me like pictures of Sure, this is just crazy.
My sister lives in Pensacola, her and Mark, and they
were like people that she was talking about the other
day before it came in. She said, it's the most

(42:34):
bizarre time because but looking back to Monday, you had
the inauguration, Martin Luther King Junior Day, National Championship Game.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Everybody going to the grocery store. You know, business is
closing down. She said. It's like in a movie. It's weird.

Speaker 7 (42:48):
It was just bizarre.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
So somebody made this point yesterday, the poor snowbirds who
lived down here during the winter, get away from the
northern winters around Great Well. I got a text from Andrews,
who lives in Gulf Shores, down there at Orange Beach
and all that. Here's Andy Andrews texting me with a
picture of snow everywhere. Less than twenty four hours after

(43:10):
Trump pulls out of the Paris Climate the cords, we
have six inches of snow at the beach. Coincidence, I think, not.
That's great. Yeah, so that's from Andy Andrews. So then
you start thinking about Southerners and playing in the snow.
So I got this video that we're about to show you,
and this is from South Alabama. This is a friend

(43:31):
of mine, as a matter of fact, a lot of
you if you want time to the show. He helped
us get the Man Church Conferences started by doing the
pursuit conferences. That was the first curriculum we ever released,
and he really really helped us get the manchurch on
its feet. And so here he is. Now these are Southerners.
So if you don't have any heels because this is flat.

(43:51):
So what do they do? They get out the four
wheeler and now pulling the kid on the sled with
the Now, now stay with this in a moment because
remember some people say, dads have children, so we'll have
somebody to play with you. Yes, I want you to
watch in a minute. He wants his dad to stop.
He's done. Look he's gone. He's gonna be done, and

(44:13):
he's not gonna stop screaming.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Was he just finally bounce out?

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Now that that Southerners with snow, that's a cold hand, right, yeah,
get the far wheel out, baby and uh so uh
by the way, people say, watching the webcam from Bourbon
Street at work with something to see yesterday they got
a ton of snow and Adler you uh now when
you said you we didn't get any snow? Is this

(44:45):
back when we got the snow? What?

Speaker 13 (44:47):
Yes, two weeks ago?

Speaker 7 (44:48):
Was it was it last week ago?

Speaker 2 (44:51):
It would have been like it would have been two
weeks from from this Friday. It went back two weeks
when we got snow the first time. Okay, it was
a week from last year.

Speaker 8 (45:01):
Right, that's right, right, Yeah, Well, Ezra thought he was
in the same situation, but he was going way slower.

Speaker 7 (45:06):
You could tell he's from Alabama era. He doesn't really
like the snow. He uh, I'm pulling him on a
trash can lid and he's just crying. Yeah, and he
just bails out here. He just bails.

Speaker 20 (45:20):
He did not like it.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
I ain't didn't like that at all.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
You're probably so excited about you thought this is gonna
be the greatest thing ever.

Speaker 8 (45:27):
He went about four feet Yeah, it was cold, cold,
this is slippery. In fact, the first time he walked
out in the snow, he goes, no, no, no, what
is this? He thought this was the new normal or something.
He's like, I don't like this change.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
No, I remember, of course, I'm not trying to compare
for the second time today animals to people. But I
remember thinking, we we got a dusting a few years ago. Uh, well,
it was a pretty good snow at the farm, but
it didn't affect the roads, so it was kind of
the best of all Worlds and one of my sons
and I we were like, oh, let's go deer hunt.
We got to go deer hunt in the snow. It'll

(46:02):
be great. There'll be deer everywhere, you know. And then
we realized that these deer live in Alabama, so it
didn't it didn't cause them to move. They actually were
like like Ezra, they were like, I don't like this
at all? What is this stuff? We're not moving? What
is going on now? Luckily now we're actually because it's
been cold for so long, they have to move because
they need to eat, So that is helping us now.

(46:23):
But the first as far as like if it's not
something like this and it just snows, this notion that
animals that live where they're in any snow somehow start moving,
They're like, we don't.

Speaker 5 (46:32):
Know what this is.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
This is new to us.

Speaker 7 (46:34):
Yeah, Roll Tide Willie got out in it too.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Y'all tell me that. You tell me road Tide Willy
is not he has he's still barefooted. We're pulling road
Tide Willie in the snow. Why would we do this
to him?

Speaker 5 (46:50):
Chad?

Speaker 2 (46:50):
What y'all shouldn't somebody be like in trouble?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Look he's a plow.

Speaker 7 (46:56):
He is a snow plow.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
He is a human snow but those are his bare feet,
his bear cross by all right, so look look please
look his face, guys, Troy, guys, I'm not sure this
is just somebody be in trouble for this, just riding
on him roadside. Really have a save.

Speaker 21 (47:25):
This?

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (47:26):
Is he okay?

Speaker 2 (47:27):
What about his feet? Is he?

Speaker 14 (47:28):
Okay? I need to know.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Couldn't he get like really like frost spot on his
feet something?

Speaker 7 (47:33):
I mean, still barefoot no matter what? Okay, how he
that's just how he is.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
At least he's got a jack. Yeah. That dog looks like,
by the way, is he on a blanket? I don't
know what he's on. Yeah, but he doesn't have any
shoes on. He has no shoes on. Good, there are
no shoes. We're making him a snowplow with bare feet.

Speaker 7 (47:54):
He was a human snowplow.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
Those feet had to be so numb, yea by the
time they stopped. Yeah, yeah, all right, we'll be back
ud standing and all. Our number is eight eight eights,
the number six big box. Uh and you can Texas
or call us there. So yeah, Southerners in the snow
and I'm talk about Southerners that get snow even less

(48:20):
than other Southerners. Ve got tons of snuff. Then we're back.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. We talked to the
public every day and trust us, you should be gravely
concerned the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
No doubt about that. All right, So.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Brittley factor in the I mean, where would we be
without it? Oh, I'm so glad when we started the
partnership with this bunch. I mean, these are doctors that
we're researching the aging process. What can we do to
help people with the aches and pains and oh body
getting older? And they and they started discovering and it
needed to be all natural because you know, a lot
of this over the counter stuff, even if it's if

(49:13):
it works and it can for shortened mask pain, but
it's really not. It's really not. You're not supposed to
over use them, and the directions clearly say that you
don't take them every day like a supplement. Opioids. We
know the problem with those. But what if you were saying,
I'm ready to make this year the year of feeling
good again, Well, relief factor may be the answer. It's
all natural. Four botanicals and really it's not just for aging.

(49:36):
If you've got a problem and that the foundation of
that problem is inflammation. These four botanicals, we've researched them
for years, but relief Factor put them together in one
power pack. I've already had my first pack today and
I take at least two a day. If maybe I
get injured dancing or something like that, I might take three.

(49:57):
So if you want to find out more, find out
if it will work for you. The majority of us
that that did the quick Start pack, it has worked
great for us. So go to relief Factor dot com,
relief Factor dot com or one eight hundred four Relief.
This could be the all natural answer for you to
get your life back and the chronic pain. Look, it
goes to the foundation. So if it's inflammation and and

(50:18):
this works for you, it's not masking the pain, it's
gonna be removed. It's gonna be a game changer. Relief
Factor dot Com are the link at Rick burgesshow dot
com under sponsors. Okay, so let's pull the curtain back
a little bit. And you've got this show line, you
know the number eight eight eighty six big Vox. You've
got texting and you can call us there. That's how

(50:40):
you get on the show.

Speaker 12 (50:41):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
Then then then we have an office uh here, and
there's an office number, and forgot about that, right and
and sometimes emailing us is always better, just so you know,
but there's always it's it's always interesting too when you
go into your office and you see you actually have messages,

(51:05):
and then you dial them up and you go, well,
it just so happens that yesterday I started to be
bombarded in email voice messages. Just why I asked y'all
about that yesterday. And then when I sit down, I
have not one, not two, three different messages from the
same person, and I think, well, this isn't some sort

(51:29):
of emergency. And they keep and they won't tell me
why they're calling, but they keep demanding that I call
call them back, call them back, call them back. And
I said, you know what I am, I'll call back
and see maybe, you know, maybe there's something they need,
maybe it's something serious. I'm not sure how we can help,
but I will try. And so just to make sure

(51:50):
when I call them back, I pretend that I'm speedy,
not me, just in case, I take the role of
the producer, just in case it's something that I need
to parachute out of.

Speaker 6 (52:00):
Okay, and so and now Greg and I are outside
the office in here the doing post of and we
hear you fumbling around, going, guys, should I call back?
And we said, well, most definitely you should call back.
And then I quickly I'm like, how do we capture
some of this? So you're gonna hear off in the
distance the person talking to you, But I rolled video and.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
We're thinking about developing this into a new segment. Rick Check.
Rick Check's voicemaan, yeah, so so here here, here goes
this conversation. And I couldn't have guessed the topic if
my life depended on. Now Greg's over your shoulder and shooting.
I point the camera to him some because he's loving
every second. And for the rest of you, you'll just

(52:43):
hear this interaction. But know that I've already told them
that I'm Calvin Speedy Wilburn, their producer. So when you
hear me talking about myself in third person, that's why.

Speaker 5 (52:54):
We were let me for your radio show, and we
were trying to get on it.

Speaker 13 (53:03):
Is there? What were you trying to get on for it?
Like to be on the show with Rick, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (53:09):
Are you near a computer real quick?

Speaker 13 (53:11):
I am, yes.

Speaker 5 (53:13):
Can you go to Google for a second?

Speaker 13 (53:15):
Okay, yeah, I'm here now.

Speaker 5 (53:19):

Speaker 13 (53:32):

Speaker 5 (53:35):

Speaker 9 (53:41):
At the time of the interview, we had.

Speaker 5 (53:44):
Eighteen hundred patches right right now, right now, we're at
two eight hundred patches.

Speaker 13 (53:54):
And what do you want us to do about it?

Speaker 9 (53:59):
No, no, no, we don't want you to do anything.

Speaker 5 (54:01):
Then we're just gonna talk to you about our patch collection.

Speaker 13 (54:04):
Oh well, the on air number? Have you got something
to write with?

Speaker 5 (54:11):

Speaker 13 (54:13):

right now on the air tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (54:18):
Yeah, it's important important okay, Well all right, well we'll
do that then.

Speaker 13 (54:24):
Okay, we'll just do that and that way we'll let
people know.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
Right but if you want to call the show while
it's live, it's one eight eight eight.

Speaker 5 (54:39):
Wait that.

Speaker 13 (54:41):
One and then the number six.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
I probably when I say big vox next, I know
I'll regret that, but but it is big vox b
I g V as in Victor O X.

Speaker 5 (55:06):
Okay, but did you find us on the internet?

Speaker 13 (55:11):
Yes, I say we have that here and uh that.

Speaker 5 (55:16):
You airmyun of making.

Speaker 3 (55:19):

Speaker 2 (55:23):

Speaker 5 (55:33):
But doesn't Macon Oh okay, it shows you as Dublin.

Speaker 13 (55:40):
I'm sorry, but yeah, you get us out of Making Georgia.
That's correct.

Speaker 5 (55:44):
But anyway, at the time of the interview, we had
eighteen hundred patches.

Speaker 13 (55:52):
How many do you have now?

Speaker 5 (55:54):
Two?

Speaker 9 (55:55):
Eight hundred?

Speaker 13 (55:56):
Okay? Well, and when you did the interview?

Speaker 9 (55:58):
How many at the interview we had eighteen hundred.

Speaker 13 (56:03):
Even or eighteen hundred and one or two? I want
to get the number right, eighteen hundred and thirty.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
Okay, see that that wasn't eighteen hundred even, see eighteen
hundred and thirty.

Speaker 13 (56:14):
I needed that information right.

Speaker 5 (56:17):
Right now, We're at two thousand, eight hundred and fifty nine.

Speaker 13 (56:22):
Okay, congratulations.

Speaker 9 (56:27):
Have you heard of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police?

Speaker 13 (56:30):
My uncle actually was one.

Speaker 5 (56:33):
We've got eight patches from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Speaker 9 (56:40):
Do you know what a challenge calling is? Don't you?

Speaker 22 (56:42):
Oh?

Speaker 13 (56:42):
I have a whole wall full of challenge coins. Yes
I do.

Speaker 5 (56:46):
We've got twenty challenge collins from the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police as well as twenty five challenge collins come to
Ticker service.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Okay, all right, so this conversation is not over now,
Pag's a good conversation, is not over, and this not over.
We'll come back and which is coin? And we'll give
you their website too, Yeah, yeah, you will, you will be.
It's quite a collection. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, only in America. Could

(57:40):
these four men do this for a living God bless America.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
This is the Rick Burgess Show having a blast working
a new segment. And that is Rick Check's voicemail. So, uh,
when I went to this voicemail, of all the things
like I say, I had three messages from this wonderful
couple and also a email from them with a voice

(58:08):
message in and all that said was that I was
supposed to call them. Uh we did. Now when with
that kind of urgency, did I think that the call
would be just so you know, we collect police patches?
Uh and and and we're over two thousand. No, I
did not think that that's what it would be. A

(58:28):
lot of patches, lots of patches. I had no idea.

Speaker 5 (58:32):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
And you'll see in a minute the website too. It
is a long one.

Speaker 5 (58:39):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
And we'll we'll we get into that conversation, but we're
going to pick the conversation back up.

Speaker 5 (58:45):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
Keep in mind Greg and SPEEDI are in the room
and we've already asked them can we play this on
the air. They said yes, because I think a lot
of you that if you're interested in this, they'll get
more patches. Again and uh, and of course when you
call the off as it does say that you know
your voicemail can be used on the show. But we
even went as far as I ask them for permission

(59:06):
as well, and they had no problem with that, as
you heard. So here's the conversation continuing. At this point,
they're now wanting to let me know more details about
their police patches and challenge coins and and they're vast,
by the way collection. So we'll pick up the conversation

(59:26):
where we were.

Speaker 5 (59:28):
We've got twenty challenge coins from the Royal Connected mind
the police, as well as twenty five challenge callings from
the Tafred service.

Speaker 13 (59:40):
Wow, I have twenty six, but like I said I
don't have the patches. You got me beat on the patches.

Speaker 5 (59:50):
We have all this the highway for drove patches.

Speaker 13 (59:54):
Even Alaska.

Speaker 5 (59:56):

Speaker 13 (59:57):
What about Hawaii?

Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
Hawaii doesn't have a highway patrol.

Speaker 13 (01:00:04):
Well, then you have forty nine. Then then you have
forty nine because you can't have fifty if you don't
have a wife.

Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
We have Waye County Sheriff.

Speaker 13 (01:00:13):
Okay, but that's not quite highway patrol, is it?

Speaker 15 (01:00:17):
No?

Speaker 13 (01:00:18):
Forty nine highway patrol.

Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
The state of Hawaii does not have a state.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Police, right, but it's still forty nine state police and
then one county sheriff, right right.

Speaker 13 (01:00:31):
I just want to be when we do this kind
of these kind of stories, we must be specific.

Speaker 9 (01:00:36):

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):

Speaker 13 (01:01:46):
Then I'll end up having to buy somebody a drink.
I can't take that chance.

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):

Speaker 5 (01:11:21):
No?

Speaker 18 (01:11:21):
No, Okay, forget that idea?

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Is the is the address on your website?

Speaker 9 (01:11:30):
No it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
No, All right, Larry, stand by, hang on just a manut.
I'm gonna let I'm gonna let Greg get yours address
from you. Okay, so when Speedy, Speedy has some family
over that way, so he may pop in.

Speaker 9 (01:11:45):
Really love for him too, Yeah, all right, hang on,
just okay.

Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
All right, Please tell Greg to get hey Greg, Okay, great, Greg,
gosh nine one talk to Larry. Hey, I want get
Larry's address. Yeah, Larry needs you. He's getting something to
rock with.

Speaker 7 (01:12:05):
Okay, uh, we we're going to get their address. For
what reason?

Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
For Speedy in South Georgia? Sometimes you know he's got
he's got some family over there. She's something else, aren't you?
Well you do mm hmmm. And that where Terry's family
is from South Georgia. No, they're up in the mountain. Yeah,
I think the came from. Is that where Vicky was?
Where was Vicky was? No, she was northeast. Don't we
have a tight of South Georgia somehow? Yeah, we got

(01:12:33):
a lot of ties to South Georgia.

Speaker 3 (01:12:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:12:34):
They're the cutest little old company.

Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
They are.

Speaker 12 (01:12:37):
They are what's a little special hobby that y'all would
like to do in your old age with your wife?

Speaker 7 (01:12:44):
They've got what? What isn't that what?

Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
That's what?

Speaker 7 (01:12:49):
That's one of the beautiful things about getting old.

Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
Ready for that.

Speaker 7 (01:12:52):
We have some super weird hobby.

Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
And what's weird about it collecting police patches from a
weird No.

Speaker 7 (01:12:58):
But yeah, they're happy doing it together and it's beautiful,
it's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Can you imagine the conversation Greg has happy?

Speaker 6 (01:13:05):
So Greg has got on his shoulder, it's his cheek
and he's just a writing in there.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
We've lost Greg now, I can't imagine watch him tell you, hey,
put him back, Greg? Do you put him ou? Okay,
now go back to Larry please, Larry, so we got
your address now, and uh, and Speedy and Greg may
come see the collection. I know Greg wants to, and
Speedy Greg's like he really wants to, you know, because
Greg lives for the genuine article.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
And you are.

Speaker 5 (01:13:32):
Bad.

Speaker 9 (01:13:33):
Oh thank you? Did you come? Just bring your camera
and get as many pictures as you want.

Speaker 13 (01:13:39):
Hey, hey, Larry.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
People are asking if on your website, if somebody wants
to send you patches, is there a po box where
people wouldn't know where your house actually is?

Speaker 7 (01:13:49):
No, there is no, Larry.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
So if I go to the website and I want
to send you a patch, is there a way to
do it?

Speaker 9 (01:13:57):
No, there's not.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
And then what but you're asking us to send them up?
He'll climb so you yeah, so we should we So
you do want your address on the air for people
to send patches. It's a mailing address, right right, that's
a that's a that's quite a dilemma there.

Speaker 7 (01:14:15):
We let them set up like a PO box and
get back to us or something.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Could you do that, Larry? Could you I'm just concerned
about you know, could you just put a po listen
to the listen to the wisdom of Carolyn.

Speaker 9 (01:14:31):
How about you saying at the PO box and having
them sent.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
You and then, Larry, you know, I love the fact
that you would ask that and think that that was
even a good idea.

Speaker 7 (01:14:43):
God, I mean that send them here, send them here,
will send them to them. No, Larry, want health these people.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
We can't take this on, Larry. We can't take on this.

Speaker 6 (01:14:53):
Greg's waving he will, he said, he said, So send
them here, addressed to you Greg, okay, and care of Greg,
and then and then we'll send them.

Speaker 7 (01:15:03):
How did y'all send us the passages?

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
How did you get all the other patches? What did
you just give people your address?

Speaker 9 (01:15:11):
We gave we just call the police departments around. Okay, well,
and they gave him my red dash.

Speaker 7 (01:15:18):
That's what he does, all David.

Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
Okay, okay, yeah, all right.

Speaker 9 (01:15:21):
Well I mean the pleae department, in the fire department,
you can druss.

Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
Well that's well, that's that's right.

Speaker 6 (01:15:29):
Greg said, he's all in to help you. He's waving
at me again. Just bring him on this way, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
All right, So what we need to do. We really
do need a po box and then people can just
send them to you. So Carolyn, why don't you get
with Larry y'all get a po box and let us
know what it is and then what will everybody know?

Speaker 9 (01:15:46):
I think we'll do that.

Speaker 7 (01:15:48):
Thank you very much, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
Both, and you know you know where we are, so
just let me know.

Speaker 9 (01:15:54):
Yes, congratulations, thank you, we enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
Oh, thank you both being for being on the show.
That that means a lot hambone. What do you think?

Speaker 21 (01:16:04):
Yeah, it sounds like that's Mancless sister talking.

Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
You know you can see where I made but absolutely here.

Speaker 21 (01:16:11):
Here's the funny thing though, is that right there? It's
kind of how they're calling around the police departments and
fire department. It's kind of like a disabled kid that's
getting everything given to them. So that's what they're doing
all day is sitting there and just calling these people saying, hey,
we got a problem, we need this, So I'm sorry.
But that's exactly what it feels like.

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Well, and that's okay. It's like Teddy Bear. It's like
the song teddy Bear. Really and and their and their
collection is if you look at their website, you don't
believe it. Yeah, the collection is impressive. Don't y'all think
the PO box is a better way to go? But
Greg says he wants to send them.

Speaker 13 (01:16:43):
We can do that.

Speaker 6 (01:16:44):
I think I think I think they get a po
box and then you can also send them here and Greg.

Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
Wait a minute, now that Greg doesn't have to do
the tennis balls anymore. Over at the word. Now he
just takes a load over to South Georgia once a month.
Here you go, Greg, Top of the hour.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, Big Box Entertainment. Please
ams The Rick Burgess Show with Speedy, Greg Burgess, Eddie

(01:17:27):
Van Adler and Rick Burges.

Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
Yeah we're back. Thanks for being with us. Are you
just now joining us? Oh you've missed a lot, so
don't forget whatever you missed on the program. Catch it
every day on our daily archives, either on our YouTube
channel or on our podcast channel, whichever you prefer, whatever
experience you be after speaking of the YouTube channel coming

(01:17:52):
up after the live show today about mid morning today
episode two, Hotels from the Camp House, the Business Summit
episode two today. So there you go. Wednesday, Bible Study
back today noon Central, one o'clock Eastern on our YouTube
channel archives soon after to the YouTube channel and the

(01:18:13):
podcast channel. Our numbers eight eight eight six big Vox.
You can text us there or call us in our website,
Rick Burgessshow dot com. As you heard, the gang is
all here. So somebody watching on the YouTube channel said,
what are y'all scrambling around in the trash cans for?
Did Rick throw away another parking pass? A legitimate, legitimate question,

(01:18:37):
especially with Manchurch Conference number one coming up this weekend.
It's possible. No, I'm glad that I asked a question.
I thought I was going crazy, thought I was losing
my mind. I had written some Speedy gives us every
day kind of what you call kind of a sheet
that says, here's all the stories that are available to
you today, and then addler gives us here's all the

(01:18:58):
videos that are available today. Sometimes there's stories and videos.
Sometimes they're just stories, and Speedy breaks them down into categories,
so you kind of know what's available to you. Well,
I turned it over and wrote something on the back
that I needed for a future segment today on the show. Well,
I went and started looking for those things, and they

(01:19:18):
weren't there. I had the same sheet, but the stuff
that I know I wrote on the back was gone.
And I was like, and I'm glad I said something.
I almost just accepted it, like maybe I wrote it
on something else. And so I finally said, out loud,
is there any chance that maybe you accidentally gave me
two of these when you're printing them out for everybody,

(01:19:40):
And then you said, oh no, no, I changed yours
and upgraded and added a few stories. So that was
us looking for the old one, yes, in the trash can,
and we did find it. So now I feel better
about that, all right. So somebody also asked, what is
a challenge coin? You don't know what that is? Challenge coins,
And we've gotten a lot of them over the years, Yeah, various.

(01:20:02):
Now people start to use them for everything. But it
started out it was strictly law enforcement and military, and
they would give you this coin too. And it's and
I think it's called a challenge coin if I have
it right, If you're part of whatever group that challenge
coin represents, and you're out somewhere and somebody comes up

(01:20:25):
to you and says, put their challenge coin down, and
you don't have yours you're supposed to carry with you
all the time. Yeah, you have to buy them a drink.
That's the story that was told to us. Yeah, now Baptists,
but I'm Baptist, so I don't know about that because
we'd never enter into that kind of agreement. We've got
so many coins we couldn't carry them off. Yeah. So
so now we have a bunch of those on display.

(01:20:47):
A listener was kind enough to make us a display
and we have them on display right outside the door there.

Speaker 5 (01:20:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
Yeah, all right, So let's let's talk a little bit
about you know, we talked to inauguration, We talked about
some of the things that happened yesterday. But boy did
it become a big story.

Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
I don't know who in the world booked this bishop.
How do you say this last name? Blud bood b
U D D E. Buddy booty, whoever this is, and
so it's a female bishop episcopalian, I think right. Anyway,

(01:21:29):
I don't know who booked this person. I don't know
who was responsible for the new administration having a prayer
service that featured this person this heretic. I don't know
who did this. I don't know who's responsible for this.
But it was running sound I think too bizarre for

(01:21:50):
the inauguration. Ye So watching some of the screenshots of
Trump and JD. Vance and the wives their faces while
this person is lecturing them.

Speaker 6 (01:22:08):
Would think about the moment, Rick, yeh, I mean it's
a prayer service for the new administration going in. I
mean it's a very you know, very historic moment, and
you know, and then and then all of a sudden,
a prayer goes into a political statement.

Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
So here we and keep in mind, don't miss this
person claims to be. There's so many things wrong with this.
On what this person is supposed to represent, there's so
many things wrong with it. I saw a lot of
people putting out yesterday and I agree with you one
hundred percent. We went through the revelation in the Wednesday
Bible study. When when when Jesus is addressing the seven churches,

(01:22:49):
you know, thyrah tyrah, and I forget the other one
that would fit this. This is the kind of stuff
he sees in the church that is angering him. And uh,
and here we are. I mean, this is a person
that claims to represent a the domination of the faith,
and nothing sounds further from the truth.

Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
So here we go.

Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
In the name of our God, I ask you.

Speaker 23 (01:23:16):
To have mercy upon the people in our country who
we're scared.

Speaker 21 (01:23:21):
Now.

Speaker 23 (01:23:24):
There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican
and independent families, some who fear for their lives. And
the people, the people who pick our crops and clean
our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat

(01:23:45):
packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants,
and work the night shifts in hospitals. They they may
not be citizens.

Speaker 6 (01:23:56):
Kay night, she didn't realize how offense of that is,
how much more it's just not much, she says. They
might not be citizens or have the right documentation or
something to that fact, right, and then and then and
then it wraps it up. But the Vans and Trump
families that they're looking at going well in the world

(01:24:19):
is going on.

Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
Well, first of all, there's so many things wrong with
this that are that are glaringly obvious. Just because there
may be a disagreement on what scripture says about marriage,
gender doing things that are illegal, no one, And let's

(01:24:46):
go with the first one. There's nothing in this administration
that should cause anyone to fear for their life if
they are l, g, B, t Q, whatever else. Symbols
need to be at it now. As far as how
society is going to operate, there may be a new
commitment to we're going to protect people from things like

(01:25:10):
biological men undressing in front of them in their dressing rooms,
competing against them, and sports. But no one's coming into
people's private lives and saying we're going to kill you
or harm you because we disagree with with you on this.
I mean that that's such a such an exaggeration. And

(01:25:32):
then Greg you point out so these people she thinks
that's all they're good for. Is I mean, there's nothing
wrong with a hard working person that picks crops and
washes dishes and a lot of these a lot of
us have done. But to say that, you know, if
you came here illegal or you're an illegal immigrant, that

(01:25:52):
that's the only thing you're good for and you'll never
achieve anything else. Yeah, you'll never achieve anything else. And
then you know, it's not sinful to say we're going
to have a sovereign nation. It's not sinful to say
that we want people to immigrate to our country. And
immigration has been a blessing to this country. But we
want it done legally, and maybe we need to work
on the legal and make it smoother and more accessible.

(01:26:15):
But that doesn't mean that we all just say illegals okay,
are not recognize that it is quite dangerous because not
everyone is wonderful that comes in illegally, and the only
way to know which ones are which is to have
a vetting process, just like you see throughout scripture. Vetting
people come in in and out of your country is
not sinful, Okay, disagreeing on God's view in the scriptures

(01:26:40):
that this person is supposedly supposed to know. I guess
she thinks God has evolved on a lot of things,
including her being in this position. But that was a strange,
strange moment yesterday. And you wonder who's find how did
they ever find themselves in that situation that seems they

(01:27:01):
knew what they were going to get. That was by design. Yeah.
How anyway, Well, we'll be back.

Speaker 7 (01:27:11):
We have more to do.

Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
Our number is eight eight eight six. Big Box will
continue to unpack some of the things from yesterday that
we didn't get you all right when we come back.

Speaker 1 (01:27:21):
This is the rick Burgers Show, a voice of reason
in an unreasonable world, The rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Yeah, we're back. So all right. So here's some theories,
and I think there is truth to this. They're saying
that the outgoing administration schedules a lot of the inauguration
of the next administration, and this person was most likely

(01:28:03):
scheduled by the outgoing Biden administration and the Democrats for
a part of that. Some others saying, well, maybe it's
the same person that keeps booking the village people. I
don't know, but so so yeah, I think I think
you guys are right on that. So so well, that
is we have Trump responding to it. So he was
asked about this, uh and and here here was his response.

(01:28:28):
I guess this is just a reporter's talking to him
as he comes out. So here we go, mister president,
what did.

Speaker 13 (01:28:34):
You think of a sermon.

Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
What did you think of.

Speaker 13 (01:28:42):
What did you think of the servant? What did you think?

Speaker 12 (01:28:45):
Do you like it?

Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
To find it exciting?

Speaker 13 (01:28:48):
Not too exciting?

Speaker 24 (01:28:49):
Was it?

Speaker 13 (01:28:51):
I didn't think it was a good service though, Thank you.

Speaker 9 (01:28:54):
Very much, Thank you Press, Thank you much.

Speaker 13 (01:28:56):
Think you much better?

Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
Well, I want you to think about the squandered opportunity
to by this bishop. Here's an opportunity that you've been
given to face an administration that's about to run the
free world. You have got a chance, supposedly as a representative.
And I don't think she is. She proves she's not.
But you're supposed to be. Here's an opportunity to be,

(01:29:23):
he's a better way to say it, a representative of
the gospel of Jesus Christ. And you have an opportunity
that people would beg for to be given a platform
to preach the gospel of repentance and mercy and forgiveness
available to all who repent. First of all the need
for repentance, and then the good news about for though,

(01:29:47):
if you are willing to repent, we have a God
that will forgive and the price paid that we all
should have received in his son Jesus. She takes the
opportunity to lecture about political and social issues, and that's
when the church loses its way. And so anyway, other

(01:30:12):
things that happened, uh involving the inauguration that we didn't
get to a video two this you're you're not gonna
you're not gonna like video too speedy, because this is
the kind of things where you as a handler. We've
got Trump in vance and it's at there and now
we're talking in the break. I don't understand this particular ceremony.
We're cutting a cake. It's not a wedding. We're cutting

(01:30:33):
a cake. And can we not get them sharp sharper knives?
I mean something sharper. I mean, so is that plane
a cake? Yeah? I guess it's it's okay, yeah, under
that's a cake. And now he's got a sword.

Speaker 7 (01:30:48):
They've got swords.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
It is a thick cake, y'all. Yeah, he's a very
thick cake. And you see Trump's kind of he's struggling.
His sword's not really rolling through that.

Speaker 7 (01:30:57):
He's pushing down on the blade with his hand to.

Speaker 10 (01:30:59):
Cut through it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:00):
I know, speedy, hot it things like that.

Speaker 7 (01:31:04):
They're still cutting it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
What was this supposed to be? I want you to
think about. You don't know anything, you don't know anything
about our country, and you look up and our new
president and vice president have swords cutting a cake with
an airplane on it. Yeah. Nervous, Yeah, so that that
is nerve work, struggling, real struggling. Yeah yeah, Speedy, can
you help me with this? Now? It's tough.

Speaker 6 (01:31:26):
You know, whenever we ordered cakes from Edgars, whenever we
put a picture on there, you know how how tough
they would be. And I think some of that, like
with the logos, oh yeah, and different things. I think
it just makes it tougher. And it's a very thick,
very thick cake.

Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
Oh they're really going to eat it, you think it's
just for sure? I think so you you would eat
it if somebody brought that in here? All right? Video
five A addlers. So here's some things, you know, as
Trump's trying to establish all the executive orders, here's what
we're going to do coming off this weird service. Uh,
the strange thing they're trying to having to cut a
cake with the sword.

Speaker 7 (01:32:04):
Where was that, Speedy?

Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:32:07):
Where did that happen? That cake cutting?

Speaker 10 (01:32:09):
Where?

Speaker 7 (01:32:09):
Where was that? Where did it happen? That cake cut
you told us earlier. Is that one of the one
of the balls?

Speaker 6 (01:32:15):
Okay, yeah, I think there were three balls, there was,
and that was one of them. I think they went
to three. Okay, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Trump is asked if he would will you go as
far as to send troops into Mexico to fight the cartails?

Speaker 5 (01:32:30):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
And so Trump, as he tends to do, he did
not dodge that question.

Speaker 22 (01:32:38):
Cartels are now going to be seen as foreign terror organizations.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
Would you think about ordering US special forces into Mexico
to take them out?

Speaker 14 (01:32:47):
Could happen? Stranger things have happened. Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
By the way, those of you asking about challenge coins,
as Greg pointed out, that's challenge coins behind Trump. Yes,
and when he's sitting there, there's a pile of challenge coins.
That's what they are, right, Yeah, goody, good eye. Greg
kind of wished everybody would go to one size make
displace a lot easier.

Speaker 7 (01:33:11):
Yeah, there is some variation in the challenge coin size.

Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Yeah, out trouble. Yeah, that was it all right. So also,
also we have Trump in five b U continuing to
be asked questions while signing executive orders. By the way,
like you said, I even heard someone who's a staunch leftist.
Was it on CNN? I don't want what it was,
something like that, and he said, I actually totally disagree,

(01:33:35):
of course with the right. I'm from the left. But
it is a breath or fresh air to have a
president that we actually have access to that is answering
questions and actually taking questions. We haven't had that in
four years, I know it.

Speaker 5 (01:33:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
So anyway, here's Trump talking about seeing if we can
reduce the size of government and see if we can
get the bureaucrats under control, with more with with the
less regulars in shrinking the government.

Speaker 7 (01:34:02):
Here we go, and here is signing that executive order.
I think there's like an announcer on it.

Speaker 15 (01:34:07):
The second item, President Trump, is a regulatory freeze, as
you announced in your speech, preventing bureaucrats from issuing any
more regulations until we have full control of this.

Speaker 10 (01:34:17):
The government is disadministration.

Speaker 13 (01:34:27):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
People saying cutting the cake with a sword is a
military tradition. So that was probably after the presenting of
the troops and the military ball.

Speaker 20 (01:34:38):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
And so by the way, it's a long day for them. Yeah,
very long day. That's a long day, very long, very long,
long day, and.

Speaker 7 (01:34:48):
Then you got to go to church the next day
and get berated by the pastor that. I mean, it's
a tough schedule they got.

Speaker 14 (01:34:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Some people are saying the bishop is one of the
leaders of the National Cathedral whatever that is. It's Escapalian
church of some kind. Is it the official Episcopalian church.

Speaker 14 (01:35:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:35:05):
Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
It's what I yeah. Says that this bunch was also
involved in Carter's funeral, which explains Garth Brooks singing, imagine
there's no heaven. That's great ring.

Speaker 6 (01:35:19):
And there's a long history with this bishop a dog
and Trump back into nineteen and twenty and George Floyd
and all this. She has been very critical of Trump
for years. So how this happened, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:35:32):
Well, I think we hit it. I think there's Democrats
involved in the inauguration committee. Yeah, we'll be back. Phone
calls her next. The number is eight eight eight, the
number six big Vox, the as in Victor Vox. And
we'll take your phone calls next.

Speaker 1 (01:35:51):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Get on mis no
but calling one eight eight eight six big Bucks.

Speaker 2 (01:36:16):
Yeah, phone calls and we got on line up ready
to go. You can join us. Some lines are available speedy.
It continues to take those for you. Wednesday. Bible study
today noon Central, one o'clock Eastern. As we walk through
Daniel chapter eleven. We have more to cover today. Also,
you can be looking for episode two tells from the

(01:36:37):
Camp House Business Summit. Episode two should be there midday
today as well on the YouTube channel. All right, so
let's look at to my store quickly and then we'll
get to your phone calls. My store, Mike Lindale, this
is you know, kind of some competition for Amazon dot Com.
Sometimes you're an entrepreneur, you got a product, you can't

(01:36:58):
get your product to the people, you know, the Amazons
of the world standing the way they decide who gets
access who doesn't. So now my store dot com has
been established over five hundred great products from entrepreneurs all
over the country, and I mean there's everything you can
think of there. Go there mystore dot com. Use our

(01:37:19):
promo code big Vox, and you will save on every
single purchase. So these are entrepreneurs. Maybe you want to
get with Lyndell in my store, see if you can
do that. Okay, So why don't you go to right
now Rick Burgess Show dot com under sponsors you'll see
my store dot com or just go there directly, but
take that promo code with you Big Vox, because you'll

(01:37:40):
save on everything that you purchased. To the phones, we go,
we go to Stephen. Stephen is out of Birmingham, Alabama,
listening to us on one O four seven WZZK.

Speaker 11 (01:37:53):
Go ahead, Hey, first, are we still allowed to say multigrass?

Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
Uh? If you want to? I really kind of grew
withy of that, so I'm kind of removing on from
that that that that got old to me. So so yeah,
but if you want to, it's certainly sare.

Speaker 11 (01:38:10):
So you know, the Pope even came out and said
Trump's immigration stance is kind of a disgrace. But let
me ask you a question, when was the last time
you've seen like homeless encamphlets, encampments and things, homeless people
defecating inside Vatican City? And to my knowledge, they only
allow certain people in Vatican City. So what would happen

(01:38:32):
if somebody got inside the city and decided to stay
there that was unwelcome er and or invited? Wouldn't they
remove that person and wouldn't that kind of the same thing,
and is deport them?

Speaker 2 (01:38:45):
Yeah, I wonder what our little bishop would think when
she goes to the Revelation and we get down to
the White Throne judgment. She's not gonna be thrilled about
that either, because those who have decided to reject redemption
in Jesus Christ, they don't get in. So what did
Neam I go back to Jerusalem to do? To build

(01:39:06):
the watch the Wall?

Speaker 3 (01:39:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
You see throughout scripture too that this betting of people
coming in and out of your city, your country, and
even Heaven itself pretty standard U. And you make a
great point. They don't stand for it at the Vatican. No,
we continue, Let's go to Let's go to Brett out

(01:39:29):
of Oxford, Alabama. Brett, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 27 (01:39:33):
Good morning, gentlemen.

Speaker 24 (01:39:34):
Hey boy, Hey, I didn't know if you guys had
covered the removal of Millie's picture from the Pentagon. I
thought it was pretty pretty funny. I think I was
watching it on Brett Baird last night and the people
that removed the photo or the painting or whatever it
is were asked who gave the order and they wouldn't

(01:39:56):
give the names, but they were told to not leave
any that it was ever there.

Speaker 2 (01:40:02):
So so what was Milly a dog? No, he's one
of him in generals, Oh, him and him and Trump.
But it has Oh yeah, they had just recently this,
this portrait had just recently been put up. Hadn't been
up but a few weeks.

Speaker 10 (01:40:16):
Oh really, I don't I don't even think that long.

Speaker 24 (01:40:18):
I think a few days and it was ordered to
be taken down from the Pentagon. I thought it was
pretty pretty funny.

Speaker 10 (01:40:25):
How about I love I love it.

Speaker 13 (01:40:27):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
Thank you, Brett, appreciate that. Yeah, and Rick, on your note,
I did Milly chewed up something in the groage, so
I made let's to take her portrait down?

Speaker 13 (01:40:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:40:37):
Yeah, Well I look the way Millie's acted. You know,
if you if you're gonna be if you're not gonna
be loyal, and you're gonna sit there and trash me,
you think almost sit there and walk around with a
picture of you, Yeah, sitting there on the wall.

Speaker 24 (01:40:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40:47):
So, uh, here we go. Let's go to Eric out
of Albertville listening to Z ninety three. Eric, go ahead, Hey,
good morning guy, Hey buddy, I don't know if I
don't know.

Speaker 27 (01:40:58):
If you've covered it or not. Have y'all seen the
video that's going around on social media about Mark Zuckerberg
taking an old peaky peek at Jeff bezos wife's chest area.

Speaker 2 (01:41:09):
Uh who did speaking, Yeah, Zuckerberg, Mark.

Speaker 27 (01:41:13):
Mark, Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta greets Jeff Bethos
and we all know who Jeff Bezos is and introduced
his wife and he takes a look at her low
cut top.

Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
Well, well, remember the great he made the George Costanza
mistake from Seinfeld Get Your Hop Constanza. It's one of
the greatest episodes. And he's like, Jerry's like, what are
you doing? I'm just letting you know, because he's just
letting you know. It's it's in the area.

Speaker 13 (01:41:47):
Blame.

Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
He blame Jerry for he came to the elbow.

Speaker 7 (01:41:51):
So he definitely got bust look worse than all.

Speaker 13 (01:41:57):
It's a good look.

Speaker 7 (01:41:58):
Zucker broke.

Speaker 8 (01:42:03):
Really you think Greg so she was she was dressed, uh,
probably inappropriately for inappropriately inauguration.

Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
I would say, Okay, that's the nitty grin that you know,
this thing about dressing appropriately no matter where what your
views are on modesty, but just dressing for the occasion.
So this is the woman. I knew who it was.
Sherry was just telling about that, telling me about this.
She said, I don't know who this person was, but
some woman was basically wearing a bra with a top on,
no shirt and then the top buttoned. And she was,

(01:42:33):
I've seen people, you know, do that fashion where they
wear these freely fancy what amounts to a bra, you know,
and and no shirt with it, and then a jacket.
And she said, but to wear that to the inauguration
of a president, you know, it's inappropriate in a lot
of ways, you know, but in just and then I
noticed that with the national championship game Monday night, whoever

(01:42:53):
this Cocoa person was, I mean, we're in the middle
of a winter storm. Yeah, goodness, put some pants on.

Speaker 7 (01:43:01):
I know she did sound good, but yeah she was.

Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
I thought, she's saying great, but but how grossly inappropriate?
Not understanding what you're being asked to do. You're being
asked to sing the national anthem for the college national
championship game in the middle of winter, and you're standing
there singing the national anthem with no pants on. I mean,
that's one of the shortest skirts ever for the what

(01:43:27):
what are people thinking. I mean, it's like I'm going
to surprise you here. The choir that sang America the beautiful. Wow,
that was great. Who were you they were from? I
agree with you? But who are you? Still in college?
Wasn't it? I think?

Speaker 7 (01:43:44):
So?

Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
They were outstanding.

Speaker 7 (01:43:45):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
It was good.

Speaker 7 (01:43:47):
And Cocoa Jones I think is her name. She sounded
so good.

Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
I've never heard of her. I had. I just I
just thought how wildly inappropriate that that outfit was for
what you were being asked to do.

Speaker 7 (01:43:57):
Mark Zuckerberg says, what's a big deal it?

Speaker 2 (01:44:00):
Meanwhile, well done. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg was sitting behind her on
a stool. Souckerberg, Uh, let's go to Scott sweet Home, Alabama. Scott,
go ahead, Good morning guys. Hey buddy, I got it.
I got a new T shirt slogan you take President
of Trumps smugshot and put almost incarcerated, get fully inaugurated.

(01:44:24):
That's funny. That's pretty good, Scott. Also, everybody's asking about
did we see speaking of not knowing how to dress
Fetterman again? Yeah, he was walking around in jim shorts
and a car heart like you know what We've been
talking about have you seen it?

Speaker 27 (01:44:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
Well Greg, Greg is he's got a car heart hoodie on.
And Jim Short.

Speaker 7 (01:44:48):
Jim Short, Now there's something wrong with him. Correct me
if I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:44:52):
I don't follow like I shaild he's kind of going
against the some of the lib certain things, and they're
getting mad at people have said. The more he it's
his faculties back, the more sense he starts making and
he starts talking about the reset when it comes to dressing. Right, guys,
that's ridiculous, right, all right? So Jonathan out of Florence, Jonathan,
how are you doing so?

Speaker 18 (01:45:14):
Guys, I'm doing pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
How are you all fired up and ready? So?

Speaker 18 (01:45:18):
I know we're having an issue apparently up here in
northwest Alabama getting the new show on. Correct and Rick,
I'm asking if you can maybe call on the rich
Burgess Army, the Rick and Bubble Army, and you know
how to get it done. Yes, they did get the
rich Burgess Army and can call the folks around up
here in Florence and let's get this done. Can you

(01:45:38):
tell us what to call?

Speaker 15 (01:45:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
You know, I don't really know, but I do think
what you're saying is right. I did get an update
that apparently some of you have already figured out how
to do that, because you, let's face it, we've got
some veterans, you know, that are still around from the
thirty one years. They know what to do. Got some
new bees that we got to train. But they're feeling
the pressure of it, and it can get resolved, you know,

(01:46:01):
relatively quick.

Speaker 5 (01:46:03):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
And from what I've gathered, it's it's not even something
I'm trying to be delicate with this that the Syndicator
is not is not even asking for everything to get current,
but just get close, you know. And and so that
that seems to be. And again, look, I mean, we're
we're talking about a new.

Speaker 18 (01:46:21):
Ye the radio station that we were previously on, until
we start calling other radio stations.

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
You know, I think right now the one that we've
been on, and they did, they do want the new show.
But again that there's been an issue with something involving
business between them and the Syndicator, I think just I
think you get you calling them, letting them know, hey,
we got to get this resolved, and I think that's
the way to go.

Speaker 14 (01:46:44):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (01:46:44):
Thanks, thank you, thank you, buddy, and thank thanks for
your passion for the show. All right, we'll be back
fifteen minutes to the top of the hoe. Work more
to cover on the program today. Has anybody seen you
know in the NFL the playoffs are roaring, you know
the Eagles fans. They're brutal and when they do their

(01:47:07):
chance and sing their songs in the stadium, it's incredible.
But you might want to know how to spell eagles.
We'll be back on.

Speaker 1 (01:47:15):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, broad casting from the wood,
The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (01:47:39):
All right, So from the text, Hey Rick, where can
we find the list of stations that do carry the show? Well,
what we did on the new show. Go to Rick
burgesshow dot com. If you look at listen, it'll tell
you can actually contact syndicated Solutions and say, you know
where you are, what are you looking for? We found
that the old way of trying to update the list,
it kept getting out dated, it kept being confusing, people

(01:48:01):
would send us bad information, slogans would change, it just
became impossible to keep up with. So you can always
go there, click and it'll show you how you can
just email and say, hey, this is where I am.
I'm looking for stations and all that and of course,
if you don't have a station, you got the tune
in app works great. The YouTube is a great live

(01:48:21):
option for you too, and then when you come to archives,
I mean, you've got the podcast and YouTube every day,
Greg a question. We ran out of time, but there
was a caller that was standing by. I don't know
if y'all know this. Southerners are in a deep freeze.
But anyway, we've already shown some footage of Southerners playing
in the snow and it is always a dandy. I

(01:48:42):
mean parts of the South that some of them have
got the first snow like they've gotten They haven't gotten
one like this since the eighteen hundreds. Of course, for
some of you weird climate change people, it's not unprecedented.
Just been a while. Yeah, okay, one hundred years.

Speaker 10 (01:48:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
I like how y'all conveniently changed. You have dropped global warming.
That's smart. But anyway, so the person was asking speedy
Greg ad y'all had a discussion that do you have
to turn your man card in if you're pumping gas
at a gas pump and you get back in the

(01:49:18):
truck due to the elements any shot any of you
stand out now where we are right now. I don't
know what the current temperature is, but when we came
to work it was fourteen, right, we're gonna get up
in the twenties. Maybe, Yeah, do you need gasoline on
the way home? Mister commuter, mister commuter? Twelve? It's twelve
right now? Okay, Okay. The other day I actually got

(01:49:41):
back in the car. Of course, Lisa was with me,
and I'm kind of like, Speed's sorry, Tarry. I had
to go in and ask or something.

Speaker 6 (01:49:46):
Yeah, yeah, yesterday I cheated a little bit. I sat
back in there like I was talking to Terry about
what we were going to do.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
But to punish myself for that move, today I will
I do have to fill the tank up and it's
really low. The lights on, so it's gonna pump for
a minute, and the pump will be slow, and I
may have to force myself to take my shirt off.
Are you are you seriously going to stand out there
in twelve I'm going to I'm teaching, Gray, Okay, you're
and you're teaching and what that? You can't be a candy? Okay?

(01:50:14):
Can look?

Speaker 13 (01:50:15):
Nobody owe you nothing?

Speaker 2 (01:50:17):
Get you out of the car, right, see me? What
I didn't say, but.

Speaker 7 (01:50:21):
It's what, It's fine, It's fine, and get back in
the car.

Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
What if you can strand in there for just to
show that you can?

Speaker 5 (01:50:29):
Right?

Speaker 14 (01:50:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
What if you got strand and you had to stand
out in it? You got to know you can do it? Okay,
And I'm gonna work on control of my body temperature
again because I you know I.

Speaker 13 (01:50:36):
Can do that.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
Yeah, I still thinking warm working for you. If there's
not a lot of win, win can defeat that. Yeah,
And I want to be accurate. This is a Siberian blast, right,
it's is it arctic Siberian span hill? Throw that stuff
about Siberian and all that, it's real coastal run or what? Yeah,
it's really cold and so so is it okay to
get back in the truck if I'm getting back into

(01:50:57):
return calls and do that using that as an excuse.
So I just need to return my calls standing out there? Yeah,
I mean, y'all don't have to freeze the condensure on
my phone. But do you want me to try a
basketball shot? If I make it, addler has to go pump, Yes,
he'll feel you up.

Speaker 5 (01:51:11):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
If you don't make it, then you don't have to
then he didn't have to.

Speaker 7 (01:51:13):
No, no, if you if you takes it, then you
have to right, okay, a normal thing to say.

Speaker 2 (01:51:20):
Right here, I go here, it is here, it is.
If Speedy makes his shot, Adler, you have to pump
gas outside and not get back in. That's right. Yeah,
a little backward shot make it. Oh that was terrible.

Speaker 13 (01:51:35):
This time is for real?

Speaker 2 (01:51:37):
This is this is what, this is what you hated
that he's doing multiple tries.

Speaker 7 (01:51:42):
You don't get multiple shots.

Speaker 2 (01:51:47):
We're straight up.

Speaker 13 (01:51:50):
See you later. But I'll switch o.

Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
My goodness, you gotta feel my truck and your van. Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:51:56):
All right, so head out. I can't do both of
the same time out and Rick's gonna fill it up
for you.

Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
Will stand out there, yes, and I will think warm
while I'm doing it, Okay.

Speaker 22 (01:52:06):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:52:06):
The Eagles, it's hard. You think it's easy. It's hard.
Speaking of cold, the Eagles, Eagles fans. There's always shirtless
people in the steam. You know what was the temperature
on the playoff game? We just you you twelve?

Speaker 14 (01:52:19):
I think it was. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:52:20):
So the Philly mayor Scheril Charrell Scharrell Parker. Yes, well,
you know the Eagles they've got their chance where they
you know, they they sing fly, eagle fly, and then
they do the e hey gel you know, so they
don't do Steve Millerman fly like an eagle. They do
not they should.

Speaker 13 (01:52:39):
I bet they do, play.

Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
I bet they do. The mayor and this is what
you hate, mister Calvin Speedy Wilburn Mayor, as Greg would say,
tries to be sharp and do the eagles chant and
has an issue here we are.

Speaker 7 (01:52:55):
Let me hear you all say.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
He she spelled it a little spell check there, okay, okay,
but passionate about.

Speaker 7 (01:53:12):
It and then never recovered ever E L G S
E S S E s.

Speaker 2 (01:53:21):
Let's hear spell it one more time.

Speaker 7 (01:53:22):
And she asked everybody to join her God lover. Let
me hear you all say, he oh.

Speaker 25 (01:53:31):
S.

Speaker 2 (01:53:33):
She replaced She replaced the L with the I mean
the A with another L. She just e L G
L E L G L E s. And she looks
like Keenan Thompson when he dresses up as a woman.
All right, Greg, she not let me.

Speaker 6 (01:53:58):
All right, let's hear it necessary gamy words count you
all say he.

Speaker 2 (01:54:11):
Did the others trying to smell it. I don't know
they caught up on it because they were hollering the police.
Let's watch the policeman behind her. It looks like he's
sort of picking up one can't watch it. I don't
think there's a nail right there.

Speaker 7 (01:54:23):
And there's some players are there's some players behind her.

Speaker 2 (01:54:26):
I don't know who that. Okay, look you here, you
all saying he ow, they smelled. I watched the policeman.
He spelled it right by the way, and they didn't
hear her. Yeah, and and Adler. All black men in
Philadelphia that are where Egosboggins don't play football. What I was, ok,

(01:54:49):
that's not what I was infensive. Look at him.

Speaker 7 (01:54:53):
That's just a black guy, all right. Now that I'm looking,
that's just be bad.

Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
Believe it or not. There's black men. They don't don't
play sports.

Speaker 7 (01:55:00):
That's on me, Stereo. I thought this guy was an athlete,
but now I just see that's just a normal dude.

Speaker 13 (01:55:08):
All right.

Speaker 7 (01:55:08):
So that's my man. Okay, that's on me. I'm sorry
about that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:16):
Industry.

Speaker 24 (01:55:17):
L G. S. E. S.

Speaker 2 (01:55:19):
Eagle gets to try Philadelphia.

Speaker 7 (01:55:28):
Hey, y'all give me some Ari has teeth.

Speaker 2 (01:55:31):
Yeah, gee, he's just look.

Speaker 1 (01:55:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Big Box Entertainment presents

(01:55:57):
The Rick Burchers Show with Speedy, Greg Budgets, Eddie Vanadlou
and Rick Bouches.

Speaker 2 (01:56:10):

are thankful that you America are here, so we shall
have a lot to do. If you missed any part
of the show, catch the daily archives on our YouTube

dot com. Have you got the new swag there from

(01:56:31):

link to eight eight eight six two four four eight
six ' nine, or go directly to the website. You
also can find out all the different ways to get
the show live and archive. That's all there as we
move through another hour. As you heard, everybody is here,
I will I know you mentioned it. A couple of

(01:56:52):
things will unpack. I thought, you know, America, not all
of you out there, but a lot of us in
the lot of you. We're very, very excited about Trump
getting his second term and his inauguration and celebration and
and the joy that that has brought to giving our
country hope when it was starting to look a little hopeless.

(01:57:13):
And but I thought Speedy's reaction to it yesterday was
I mean, you were, man, you taught somebody that was
that was fired up and excited yesterday, and and some
I mean it was it was. It was good to
feed off your energy.

Speaker 7 (01:57:28):
And somebody somebody like Carmen san Diego speedy.

Speaker 2 (01:57:31):
Yeah, look at this. Somebody caught this shot. Oh no,
well everything's freezing. It's twelve. Yeah, he's about to freeze. Yeah,
you're you're about to because we're about to discuss something here.
So somebody got the you're really into you're really wearing
Millennia's hat. Yeah, you got one of those hats all
like Millennia.

Speaker 5 (01:57:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
I didn't think you'll saw that little bit. Can I
tell you one of the things I did notice about
the Milania and and the Trump family. And I don't
blame them one bit. I really don't because what we've noticed,
and even to a degree JD. Vance's wife too, because
his kids are so small, they don't really know what's
going on a lot of them. But you know, there's

(01:58:12):
one thing, and this is kind of even what we
do for a living, even though everybody knows the deal, okay,
And when you're Trump and you're a JD. Vance or
any politician or you know, you're on a public platform,
whoever you are, you're accustomed to people lying about you,
people saying bad things about you, people trying to kill you,
you know, are trying to inspire others to kill you,

(01:58:35):
and you're kind of like, well, that just comes with
the territory, and you kind of roll with it. You know,
you understand that. But that's not always the attitude of
the wives and the family and the children. And I
noticed when this was all going on yesterday, Trump and JD.
Vance Trump more than JD. Evans understands the deal. But

(01:58:57):
you looked at Milania. Milania was like, y'all try to
kill my husband twice, and I'm not going to pretend
that I'm okay with y'all, right, And you could see
that that the Trump children were kind of like, yeah,
we're back. You better believe we're back. And y'all tried
to stop us, you didn't, didn't even come close. And
we're back. And you can kind of see that JD.
Vance's wife, who seems to be very very sweet, there

(01:59:19):
were still It's one thing to be the person everybody's after.
It's another thing to be the family of the person.
Everybody's after sometimes a family, they don't move on.

Speaker 6 (01:59:29):
And now the Baron's what eighteen Now I think, and
we mentioned this, but it really needs to be discussed.
So Biden smiles at him and says all that I
saw that. He goes to shake his hand, then leans
over him to shake Kamala's, and he says something he does,
and Biden loses his smile and kind of gets lost

(01:59:51):
into like looking down. And then Baron goes across the
end of the isle, I guess and look and gives
a look back.

Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
As his shoulder and and everybody's like, what did he say? Yeah?
Of course, Now Greg said, now Biden could go from
smiling to not knowing where he is. Yeah, sounds yeah,
And there could be they have nothing to do with
what he said. Terry and I were trying to but
I did see that.

Speaker 7 (02:00:13):
Here's a clip.

Speaker 2 (02:00:14):
Somebody said he said, you didn't pardon yourself. No, no,
I'm kidding. Say that.

Speaker 12 (02:00:18):
One thing to look at is he may be actually
speaking to Kamala when Biden's smile goes away.

Speaker 7 (02:00:27):
Okay, something to look at here.

Speaker 8 (02:00:28):
Okay, So Baron's walking over, shakes Biden's hand, They smile
and now he leans over.

Speaker 2 (02:00:35):
Oh that's true. So the he is just Joe going
back into Joe mode.

Speaker 7 (02:00:40):
He saw something, yeah, he when he said, she smiled Yeah, yeah,
So that.

Speaker 2 (02:00:47):
You're a bunch of losers. I think I saw that. No,
I think that's just I don't think Baron said anything bad.
I think that's just Biden going back to confusion. Yes,
going last time he was a little boy, I saw
you how to Harry Lax.

Speaker 22 (02:01:10):
I'm actually need how to you. Uh, that's the biggest
tenure old I ever saw by the looks younger.

Speaker 23 (02:01:21):
Alight.

Speaker 2 (02:01:22):
All right, so now I understand this comp this conversation
we had a minute ago about the cold. Am I
hearing y'all saying that Adler now feels like he's needs
to defend his manhood and that he's going to go
and pump Greg's gas and not get and stand out there.

(02:01:44):
And I get back in the truck, and.

Speaker 6 (02:01:45):
We were talking in the break and and he knows
that I made the shot, and and now he's responsible
for losing really.

Speaker 7 (02:01:53):
And fourth or fifth last the last one was real,
was real.

Speaker 6 (02:02:00):
But in the break he wanted to go show us
his van and get some what he calls sunshine.

Speaker 2 (02:02:07):
This thing you keep going out getting sunshine m D. Yeah. Yeah,
I mean he's got some cool stuff in his van,
but I thought he was hauling something something. I realized
it was permanent. Well, it's taking up the whole van.
Now I can't get in it. Got a sleek in
a refrigerator. Now nobody's standing.

Speaker 7 (02:02:21):
It's not accurate, none of that. It's all fits, very
sleek and streamlined.

Speaker 2 (02:02:25):
Right.

Speaker 12 (02:02:25):
First of all, it's not even about the van. And
second of all, I'm not gassing up y'all's car. Third
of all, I never said that. I never said that.

Speaker 7 (02:02:31):
That's proven yourself a mans.

Speaker 2 (02:02:40):
So what you're saying is you couldn't stand out there
until Greg's chuck is full.

Speaker 7 (02:02:44):
You want too good? If you don't want too good?

Speaker 2 (02:02:47):
Yeah, but you but you could or couldn't do it.

Speaker 7 (02:02:50):
I mean I could, I could, but I don't. I
don't see why we have.

Speaker 2 (02:02:54):
To shot you lost a bed. Yeah, nobody says have
to face the wheel. Yeah, some people might say, want
to to prove yourself.

Speaker 12 (02:03:03):
Well, for I never entered a bet. A bet requires
Hey you want to met bet? Yeah, I want to bet,
but you'll just throw these basketballs over and over against
it and then if you make it.

Speaker 7 (02:03:13):
I mean, this is crazy. This I feel like I'm
taking crazy pills.

Speaker 2 (02:03:17):
Right, the rules are clear, So let's go back to
the bottom line. You're gonna pump grapes gas or not? Yeah,
I mean if so, you're not a man. I don't
need you.

Speaker 7 (02:03:26):
If you need me. Do you even need gas right now?

Speaker 5 (02:03:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:03:29):
These lots of gas. The light came on when I
pulled up.

Speaker 7 (02:03:32):
Yeah, so you your stick is three on the column
because I can drive both.

Speaker 14 (02:03:38):
So about a split accent?

Speaker 2 (02:03:40):
Do you think you could pump Greg's gas and stay
outside and not get back in the truck.

Speaker 7 (02:03:45):
How many gallons is your tank something?

Speaker 2 (02:03:48):
It's gotta be twenty twenty one. It's I think between
sishy bucks something like that. But he didn't sound much
a car. I don't need Speedy's paying hing about it?

Speaker 7 (02:03:58):
You have to pay for it to where's a company card?

Speaker 13 (02:04:00):
I'll use that?

Speaker 2 (02:04:02):
Well, us own the show, right, Yeah, well we got
some Hey, we got some room on the breakfast budget.
But we have got to have video that you didn't
get back in. Yeah, you just got to be just speedy.
You need to go with him and stay you can
stay in the truck.

Speaker 7 (02:04:16):
But yeah, somebody, why don't you.

Speaker 2 (02:04:19):
Go with him? Somebody's gotta go with him. Somebody's got
a document that he does not get back in.

Speaker 3 (02:04:24):
Yep, he cannot get back in.

Speaker 2 (02:04:26):
And he's got to be just and he's got to
be shirtless. Illume you because you're not going to be shirt.

Speaker 9 (02:04:34):
That's the band, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:04:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (02:04:50):
All right, here we go, We're back on the Rick
Burgess Show. All right. So there was a discussion about
whether a man and if he's pumping gas, can can
get back into their vehicle. Why the gas is being
pumped because of the elements outside. Uh, there's a discussion

(02:05:11):
that says no. And now no one's saying you have
to do that. You have to stay out there. You
just probably need to if you want to prove that
you're you know, not soft. So Adler has now taken
the challenge. Uh there there, I think Speedy, we got
to the point where the the challenge even became secondary

(02:05:32):
about you doing the bet with him. But she said
he never entered into and shooting the basketball. Because I
think we finally got to the fact that everybody's saying, well,
I mean I mean if you're scared. So he's scared,
that's right. Yeah, And so they've just left. Adler just
left with Greg.

Speaker 6 (02:05:48):
Yes, Adler left with Greg, and I'm bringing him into
the conversation now. He's also on the screen behind you there. Okay,
So Adler, can you hear us?

Speaker 28 (02:05:58):
Yeah, we'll tell brus gies. Greg, your truck is nice
as hell.

Speaker 2 (02:06:01):
Dude, you're on the air, buddy. Oh man, guys, y'a
are on the air.

Speaker 28 (02:06:15):
So Greg's driving in this truck and he's very bad
of driving.

Speaker 2 (02:06:21):
It's like very jerky, warm up, a little very it's
so guess what you're gonna be out.

Speaker 14 (02:06:27):
There a minute?

Speaker 5 (02:06:27):
Oh man?

Speaker 2 (02:06:29):
Twenty gallons?

Speaker 13 (02:06:30):
Adler.

Speaker 2 (02:06:31):
There's there's people and I think it's probably the females
in the audience. Did they just try to gas? What's wrong? Hey?

Speaker 10 (02:06:44):
Greg?

Speaker 7 (02:06:44):
I am so proud of you right now.

Speaker 2 (02:06:47):
I am so proud of you.

Speaker 14 (02:06:48):
Money.

Speaker 2 (02:06:49):
Hey, here's here's the here's y'all. Go on, Greg, go on,
and I can reimburse Adler and then eventually you can
reimburse you.

Speaker 6 (02:06:57):
Yeah, there you go. I can do something if I
need to. What well, I'm gonna say I'm not the
one that forgot that. Well, I didn't forget the walle
that you did. By the way, who thought they ran
out of gas? I thought they ran out of gas?
And all right, so cool?

Speaker 3 (02:07:15):
Can we get some heat going here?

Speaker 28 (02:07:16):
Do you have heated seats? Okay, well turn them on.

Speaker 2 (02:07:20):
Ad Er, you're about to stand out in this. You
need to be get cacklimde. And you can't have the
hoodie on either. You have to take that down.

Speaker 3 (02:07:27):
That's not a part of the rule.

Speaker 2 (02:07:29):
Okay, I know, it's just you be speedy for a
few minutes. Well done, sir. A lot of them, I
think it's females I can't tell, are texting saying well,
you should not do this. They think you're going to
be get very good? What's great? Got in the back seat?

Speaker 3 (02:07:46):
Greg?

Speaker 28 (02:07:46):
Is so hard to get out of your truck.

Speaker 2 (02:07:48):
Here we go. So he's outside, he's there, they're there.
It's so caught, Greg, Speedy, give me, give me a
current temperature where we are for my gas?

Speaker 13 (02:07:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:07:58):
Now, and whenever he doing, whenever he's ready, tell him
just take his shirt off. Yeah you hear me, Greg,
I sound just like Speedy.

Speaker 6 (02:08:07):
It's fourteen degrees, Rick, Okay, it's fourteen degrees. It feels
like thirteen, so they should just call it thirteen.

Speaker 2 (02:08:13):
Greg. We don't have to. He does not have to
take his shirt off until he starts pumping.

Speaker 13 (02:08:18):
What what grade?

Speaker 3 (02:08:19):
What grade? Greg? Reglar?

Speaker 28 (02:08:21):
Just go Greg, buddy, Oh okay, I thought it was
a remote thing.

Speaker 2 (02:08:25):
You look, you look?

Speaker 3 (02:08:27):
Come on, hey, just regular?

Speaker 2 (02:08:30):
Yeah? Can you tell that Adler's been hanging, Greg Waite said,
getting nasty little two guys. All right, so are you ready?

Speaker 3 (02:08:40):
Yeah, it's going.

Speaker 2 (02:08:42):
We can't get in the truck. You cannot get in
the truck and take it. Tell him to take his
shirt off?

Speaker 7 (02:08:47):
Greg?

Speaker 3 (02:08:49):
All right, so now what's up, Boddy? How's it going?

Speaker 21 (02:08:52):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (02:08:54):
Hey, not getting in the truck? I see either we're
Tucker's nails. We're not look the boat.

Speaker 6 (02:09:00):
They're both not getting Greg, for some real reason, feel
like it feels like he has to be part of
the channel.

Speaker 2 (02:09:05):
I know, Greg. Why are you out there?

Speaker 10 (02:09:07):
Greg?

Speaker 3 (02:09:07):
Why are you out here? I'm here for moral support?

Speaker 2 (02:09:11):
Look good, y'all cold to I can tell your coach the.

Speaker 28 (02:09:16):
Ladder on his truck.

Speaker 7 (02:09:17):
He's like a real man with a real job.

Speaker 2 (02:09:21):
Today, Adler described to me, how you're feeling right now?

Speaker 7 (02:09:25):
I don't feel good.

Speaker 28 (02:09:27):
I don't like this, and I don't understand why I don't.
I'm even paying for this gas.

Speaker 4 (02:09:32):
I don't like this any any of this, Rick, Rick,
tell you, my god, my god.

Speaker 3 (02:09:47):
I thought it was frother long, almost gonna stop.

Speaker 12 (02:09:53):
I just you's so many people dropping five.

Speaker 3 (02:10:01):
I love you.

Speaker 29 (02:10:05):
There's so much gas stuff, it's not even clue here.
How many gallons you're niffering so bad? Does that make
you feel warmer?

Speaker 3 (02:10:16):
Adler?

Speaker 28 (02:10:17):
I'm sorry, sir.

Speaker 3 (02:10:18):
I'm so sorry, sir.

Speaker 28 (02:10:19):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:10:20):
Does that make you feel warmer?

Speaker 7 (02:10:22):
Keeping?

Speaker 2 (02:10:23):
He needs to Lisa, I'm not part of this.

Speaker 28 (02:10:27):
Fifty dollars, thanks a lot, Joe Biden.

Speaker 9 (02:10:30):
You're my hero.

Speaker 5 (02:10:30):
Greg.

Speaker 13 (02:10:31):
I love you.

Speaker 7 (02:10:32):
I love you, buddy.

Speaker 3 (02:10:33):
I'm thinking warm, thanking warm.

Speaker 2 (02:10:34):
Thank you, you're thinking warm? Okay, it is yeah, okay,
all right, all right, look Greg.

Speaker 3 (02:10:42):
Warm, all right, Greg, that's enough. Guess let's get out
of here. Listen, turn it off.

Speaker 7 (02:10:45):
No, no, no, no, I know it has to be full.

Speaker 3 (02:10:50):
No, no, is it full? All right, We're good, We're full.
He clicked.

Speaker 28 (02:10:57):
Okay, wow, Greg spilled so much gas?

Speaker 2 (02:10:59):
He spilled don't want to spell gas by the way,
he will, probably because his hands aren't working.

Speaker 3 (02:11:03):
Yeah, I'm getting back in. It's so cold.

Speaker 2 (02:11:06):
They did it. They stayed for the whole time.

Speaker 4 (02:11:08):
Done, g done?

Speaker 2 (02:11:09):
Greg went shirtless?

Speaker 3 (02:11:11):
Beg help me in your truck, Adler.

Speaker 2 (02:11:13):
Don't say that you got to get in the truck yourself.
You stood outside? Oh guy, you just stood outside in
the cold. I'm so glad Greg did that?

Speaker 28 (02:11:20):
Oh my gosh, Greg, get the heat going?

Speaker 2 (02:11:23):
All right? So Adler did?

Speaker 1 (02:11:25):
Did?

Speaker 2 (02:11:25):
Did Greg? Did?

Speaker 3 (02:11:26):
Greg?

Speaker 2 (02:11:27):
Going shirtless? Taking the there to another place? Did that
help you get through it? He did?

Speaker 28 (02:11:32):
He showed me what a real man is.

Speaker 3 (02:11:34):
You know, it looks like Greg, he's so cold.

Speaker 5 (02:11:40):
Man.

Speaker 6 (02:11:42):
I was not prepared you, Greg, You're my hero. Was
not prepared for that moment. Adler, How did How does
it fit? How does it feel to get out and
about and get the sunshine and and be a man?

Speaker 3 (02:11:53):
Now it feels great. All that feels great. Got the
vitamin d's going, you know?

Speaker 2 (02:11:59):
So did you do?

Speaker 4 (02:12:00):
Adler?

Speaker 3 (02:12:01):
Will you?

Speaker 13 (02:12:01):
Will you?

Speaker 2 (02:12:02):
From this point forward? Do you now join the many
men that will not get back in their vehicle while
they're pumping gas, regardless of conditions.

Speaker 3 (02:12:11):
So trying to be an example, you were worse.

Speaker 2 (02:12:14):
Yeah, you were. You know what, we just saw mentorship.
We just we just saw an older man mentoring a
younger man. That's what.

Speaker 28 (02:12:24):
Yeah, circle matters. Who you surround yourself with matters.

Speaker 2 (02:12:28):
And uh, we have someone who's now referred to out
of Florida that Greg is a national treasure. Yes, buddy,
stop about a twelve pack. No, no, he's not to
that point yet, and there's no need for that. Yeah, okay, Yeah,
look at Adler speedy. He likes being Greg's little.

Speaker 13 (02:12:50):
He does.

Speaker 3 (02:12:52):
Struggling. I said, look, I'm gonna show him. It could
be worse.

Speaker 2 (02:12:55):
Yeah, it's like Adler hit puberty during this segment.

Speaker 28 (02:12:57):
Yeah, Greg, that's not what it's like at all.

Speaker 3 (02:13:00):
I'm not sit next segment, I'm sitting the truckle with
air running, I mean the heat running on high. My
toes are cold.

Speaker 2 (02:13:08):
How how long will it be before Greg's skin is
not cold?

Speaker 3 (02:13:13):
I notice I've been laying in the bed.

Speaker 2 (02:13:15):
Yes, Greg, yes, you did.

Speaker 5 (02:13:17):
You did.

Speaker 2 (02:13:19):
At one point I was afraid you were gonna put
Adler's eye out.

Speaker 26 (02:13:25):
My eyes.

Speaker 2 (02:13:29):
All right, y'all, y'all come back and get back and
show can you believe that? Thank y'all for this. Yeah,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (02:13:35):
There you go real man, You're like, you're like, but
if you notice, I.

Speaker 2 (02:13:48):
Think I'm going to give up. You remember when I
was trying to tell Adler to spend less time with Greg.
I think this is a lost I think I'm just
gonna let that go. Yeah, I mean they're they're tight now. Yeah,
their buddies, Yeah, buddies.

Speaker 13 (02:13:58):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:13:59):
You got found about that. I mean that gets made
that shot. Yeah, thank you Speedy for that. All right,
Well we'll come back and then we'll get them back
in and get them warm.

Speaker 13 (02:14:10):
My goodness.

Speaker 2 (02:14:12):

Speaker 24 (02:15:05):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:15:06):
So before we get to the recap and there's so much,
I'm gonna have to just just applaud the textures again.

Speaker 3 (02:15:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:15:17):
Somebody said, what I've just listened to is secondhand lions.
Radio version is when an older man teaches a young man.
I'd be tough. Uh, I see it. Here's someone says,
by the way, straight up, I underestimated Gregg's physique. Yeah,
most people do. Yeah, underestimated Greg's physic. Sadly, let's think

(02:15:38):
it was from a man. But the uh, I get it.
I'm just kidding. So that is I just felt the
young man who died, somebody to step in and show him,
you know what, you think this is bad? One day
you can do this. I checked myself first and felt
my body temperature going up. Since I had that a bit,
you have the ability to do that. Not a lot
of wind that helped. Yeah, so I thought, And the
sun was out right, and the sun was out let me.

Speaker 7 (02:16:02):
Horrible? Is harm?

Speaker 2 (02:16:04):
We have people say that's harm. People who said their
computers are ruined. Now they just spit coffee on their computer.

Speaker 4 (02:16:11):
Uh, it was it.

Speaker 2 (02:16:14):
You look great, Greg, You do look at least have
my glasses on. I don't know why everybody so I
guess so you can see the pump. I don't know
about him.

Speaker 7 (02:16:26):
Greg, you look good, buddy. Honestly, your clothes make you
look worse than what your body looks.

Speaker 2 (02:16:30):
I think that's a compliment. I think it is. I
thank you, Thank you for that.

Speaker 15 (02:16:39):
Pal.

Speaker 2 (02:16:40):
You know, I've never had you make a statement that
made me feel uncomfortable in so many different ways. Sure
if he knows what that means, he was, listen, he
had a bad attitude, was getting all riled up, wanted
it to hurry up. That's that's just when you look
to an older man and say help me. Yeah. As
a matter of fact, you know we have the new
shirt old man's strong. Adler didn't even get one. I

(02:17:02):
was like, we can't give you.

Speaker 5 (02:17:04):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (02:17:06):
You're not old enoughing.

Speaker 7 (02:17:07):
You're thirty nine. I'm I'm a man, not an old man.

Speaker 2 (02:17:10):
And you're getting stronger. Thank you, Yeah you are. Listen,
he's always when we used to work out, believe it
or not, like he pull ups. He can do pull
ups all day day. I'm speaking more mentally stronger. Yeah yeah,
he's an infant, yes, yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:17:26):
Yeah, I'm a mental infant. Right now, later in life,
I'll do.

Speaker 2 (02:17:30):
Better when speed he had him running past routes, it
goes to him and he would burn him down. It's right,
you know, it really has called pegging.

Speaker 7 (02:17:37):
Person.

Speaker 2 (02:17:38):
You're just three yard looking, you know, person, Charlie Brown. Yes,
Lucy always pulled, but you kept doing it. Why did
you catch?

Speaker 7 (02:17:46):
I didn't think seed to be so mean so long?

Speaker 2 (02:17:48):
No, just you just go get your hands in Adler,
Do you feel like honestly because I remember it was
a little bit shocking when you first started hanging out
with us and you told us that you didn't grow
up the way we did. Yeah, but has this not
made you tougher?

Speaker 10 (02:17:59):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (02:18:00):
It's great. I honestly had a great time out there
with Greg. We were like Laurel and Hardy or Beavis
and butt Head.

Speaker 2 (02:18:05):
I'm Bevis right, definitely. Okay, So Greg, here's now. Now
I have some not so good news, and we're all
loving it. We're talking, everybody's having a party, everybody's having
a good time. Hey, that's funny, Greg's national treasure. Hey,
I spit my coffee out. I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying.
All that's good. And then this text what is wrong
with y'all. Good grief. You guess who this is from?

Speaker 13 (02:18:27):
Nana?

Speaker 2 (02:18:30):
I forgot, I'm waiting on my wife. Well, Greg, she's here,
she's in the this is the family text, and she says,
I have no words for what I've just witnessed. Okay,
So and she's covering her eyes, like why what is
the world have he came for the show?

Speaker 5 (02:18:48):
Guys?

Speaker 2 (02:18:49):
Well, and that is the attitude.

Speaker 6 (02:18:51):
That's her.

Speaker 2 (02:18:52):
It's got to be it's got to be the attitude.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 7 (02:18:54):
Yeah, Greg, you really do look good. But I can
tell you've been jogging and doing some curls. Well through
the girls.

Speaker 2 (02:19:03):
Girls, the girl serve any other purpose, I don't know what.
Least it does when you come busting in that house
right after running, I'll tell you there's the real thrill.
I'll tell you there's somebody waiting on the Christmas tree today. Yeah,
because I know it's still there. It is, It is right,
and that's amazing. It makes her happy. Still there. We're starting.

(02:19:26):
We're going we haven't yet, but we're going to start
at the least important stuff. Go ahead and start putting
it up. Don't hurry up, don't hurry out. But Joe,
and I'm not going back in. We already coded. But
this is so not like her. She was always the
one that made me take it down before I wanted to.

Speaker 21 (02:19:40):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:19:41):
But if it brings her, you know, if it's not
anything bad, and it's not and our wives, it brings
some joy, let it go.

Speaker 13 (02:19:49):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:19:50):
I kind of like it lit up in there, right.

Speaker 6 (02:19:51):
Yeah, leave it up to at least Valentine's Day. Somebody
says love like Christmas tree up and somebody says the
son's out. Gregg's guns around class a huge reflection from
the son of that white body, right, it was extremely Caucasian. Yes,
I just sent back no to my mom, asked a question.

(02:20:12):
I love asking your mom.

Speaker 2 (02:20:13):
What what she's going to do with y'all too? When
I got my truck and snow when we were out there,
now go on about that. Yeah, yes, no, mom, Greg
is not drinking again. Okay. I just had to send
that barrel quick it right?

Speaker 10 (02:20:33):
So?

Speaker 2 (02:20:34):
Uh So, anyway, Adler, you did it? I think do
you I want to ask you this question? I think
I know the answer. Did Gregg's inspiration when he decided
the young man needs to see another level? Is that
what carried you through. Yeah, all suddenly he wouldn't You
wouldn't even cold after that were you? It was great.

Speaker 7 (02:20:53):
We were like Harry and Lloyd out there.

Speaker 2 (02:20:55):
Broy's weird. Yeah. I want you to know that after
what I've just seen in this mentorship, I've given up,
if you remember, and of course I've seen some some fruit.
And why I was saying it even early on when
I had to remind you to you were alive. I
told you to that you need to spend less time
with Greg, to cut it in half. I'm giving up

(02:21:17):
on that. You, you too, are such a good commendation
of older man mentoring younger man. Now there's no doubt
that Greg's going to lead you down the wrong road
a few times, but his overall positive effect on you,
I'm just gonna go ahead and admit it's worth it good.
And you know, this is a relationship I think got
stronger when we joined Rock and Roll City.

Speaker 7 (02:21:39):
Absolutely, we're like Tom and Huck just.

Speaker 2 (02:21:44):
Right or gym. Yeah, some people are suggesting, but I
think it would have taken a turn for the strange.
You know, I'm I think I might have gone Ernie there, Ernie,
you would be robbing now would be the Boy Wonder.

Speaker 7 (02:22:05):
Red Bully Vodka.

Speaker 2 (02:22:08):
There's that road again. That's that's that other I'm sorry.

Speaker 20 (02:22:16):
So the.

Speaker 2 (02:22:18):
What I would say is some people are saying that
you should have also Addler Sean, that you could stand
out their shirtless But I think at that point that
bit would have taken a different weird turn. Two shirtless
guys that close together.

Speaker 4 (02:22:31):
Yes, and it's not the Beach.

Speaker 2 (02:22:33):
I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to disagree with Yeah,
I'm gonna have to disagree.

Speaker 7 (02:22:37):
With that now because then we have no advocate.

Speaker 12 (02:22:40):
Like if somebody rolls up Greg doesn't have a shirt on,
I'm I don't know a young man with this weird guy.

Speaker 7 (02:22:45):
We both have no shirts on.

Speaker 12 (02:22:47):
Instead, I could be as activate ah, we're part of
the Rick Burgers show.

Speaker 2 (02:22:50):
No, you're right, Ye went on the text and I
really like the combo Starskin Hutch.

Speaker 9 (02:22:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:22:57):
So which one would you be there, Adler, I'd.

Speaker 7 (02:22:59):
Be star Ski, Yeah, I'd be Hutch different.

Speaker 2 (02:23:03):
Remember that song you sang.

Speaker 7 (02:23:07):
So So anyway, Mandy the great skill, no willing.

Speaker 2 (02:23:18):
Showing can there there there We're picking it back up.

Speaker 10 (02:23:22):
There were so Brooks and it.

Speaker 2 (02:23:31):
Definitely all the air supply, ye, Sonny and share a pretty.

Speaker 7 (02:23:40):
I'm definitely share.

Speaker 3 (02:23:43):
A new song.

Speaker 7 (02:23:44):
I got you great, I got you that's so good.

Speaker 2 (02:23:47):
Take your shirt off, Greg, I got you. There we go,
so gosh, steel cold.

Speaker 3 (02:23:58):
Right, my right tail very.

Speaker 2 (02:24:01):
Welcome back. More of the Rick Burgess Show coming up
right after this.

Speaker 1 (02:24:09):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. They can and do
the truth the brick Burchers Show.

Speaker 2 (02:24:37):
So here we go. Thanks for being with us, as
The Rick Burgess Show continues. All right, so we got
a lot more to cover today. So let me tell
you if you're just joining us, boy, catch the arcave
today on your own time. Man, I mean, I mean,

(02:25:00):
there you go.

Speaker 11 (02:25:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:25:01):
So we also have coming up next hour, I'm gonna
you know where we're experimenting with a lot of things
and uh maybe a segment called hay Bird and that's
when maybe somebody asks a question and email that goes
that'd be a good one for us to unpack on
the show. So I've got one today we do. So
you call it hey bird, he birge. Yeah, hey bird,

(02:25:23):
hey bird. So we'll we'll talk about that coming up.
Greg didn't know this. Also talking about the last segment
for another second, our sister who's a teacher because of
all the cold weather and whatever, apparently they delayed schools starting.
You know, we didn't get any of this winter weather
where we are, and she teaches in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

(02:25:45):
She says, I have I have never been more thankful
for a two hour delay than I just was seeing
my brother a moment ago made my day. Right, yeah, right,
you're welcoming, right, So so there you go. Uh, you
know you're thrilled. Yeah, I know, I know, I know

(02:26:08):
you're I know you're feeling good. Various pictures of Gregan
after coming in. So, uh, the NFL playoffs Here we go.
So we've got what Buffalo Bills taking on the Chiefs
for the of the Bills finally punch their ticketing well
in a row. Speaking of cold weather, so here we go.

(02:26:29):
We have one confident NFL gambler. I'm gonna tell you what,
I don't know who in the world whatever gamble on sports.
I mean, I know there's some people out there that
they do it, you know when they football, Yeah, and
and that's their thing. And you know, I guess to
each his own. But so we have someone here because

(02:26:52):
the reason why. You know, obviously there's some there's some
issues there that that that you know, we would disagree with.
Are some do and I do from from a biblical standpoint,
being a good steward and those kind of things. However,
if none of that mattered, I just remember back when
I didn't care about those things and I didn't have
a biblical worldview, and I was I was running in

(02:27:15):
those circles and you're going to going to the track
and going to the whatever. And I remember a guy
who was a gambler, you know, and he told me
you got to know when to hold know, he says,
he said, you really, if you don't want to be
in these peoples whose lives are being destroyed by it,
and there are so many, he says, you just should

(02:27:36):
never gamble money you can't afford to lose. We'll see,
I've never been in it. I've never felt like, I've
never heard.

Speaker 1 (02:27:41):
Of that money.

Speaker 9 (02:27:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:27:42):
Well, and this must, this must, this person is going
to push this. There is a gambler that is staking
one point three million dollars on the Kansas City Chiefs
to beat the bills. So what's what's the spread? Anybody
know what I don't know what's what's the ref's name?

(02:28:04):
Because that's good. So the Bills, Craig me if I'm wrong,
have beaten the Chiefs this year, right, you know, I
really don't know. I think not that that means yes, yes,
it says Josh Allen and they beat them thirty to
twenty one.

Speaker 14 (02:28:17):
Is what did?

Speaker 2 (02:28:18):
The Chiefs only have two losses and one of those
was to the Bills. Another was meaningless last game it
was Denver when they didn't play everybody. According to ESPN
that the spread right now is k C minus two.
So it is that's just home field advance. That's just hey,
we're playing at home. We get we're giving a tough
place to play. Yeah, So would you like to know

(02:28:38):
this fan has that big one point has put down
one point three million on the Chiefs to go back
to the Super Bowl, and the wager was placed on
the Chief's money line. Uh, it's it's Caesar's palace, their
sports book. If he wins or she or whoever bet this,

(02:29:00):
do they know something we don't know. If they win,
the pay the payout will be two point three million.
Come on, history is on the chief side. As y'all pointed, out. However,
bills are due, man, they're due, they are greg But
I don't know that I believe that one point three million?
And did you say it was on the line like
so that he's he's had. He's telling they're gonna win

(02:29:23):
and cover or just win. You know, I don't know
enough about it. It just says. It just says he
he has placed the Chiefs to win. Okay, So I
guess it wouldn't really matter if they win, you know,
because I guess where they got to win by three?

Speaker 1 (02:29:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:29:36):
Right, I guess yet to win? Yeah, not just we
can check this and I may be to it. I
may have heard it wrong, but I think I heard
somebody say this morning that my homes has played in
the a SC championship game every year he's been in
the league.

Speaker 5 (02:29:50):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:29:50):
Wow, man, So are we if you take his shirt
off pumping gas?

Speaker 17 (02:29:55):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:29:55):
Probably is he? Yeah?

Speaker 13 (02:29:57):
Is he?

Speaker 2 (02:29:58):
They're out in?

Speaker 10 (02:29:59):
That?

Speaker 15 (02:29:59):
Is it?

Speaker 14 (02:30:00):
Are we?

Speaker 2 (02:30:00):
Are we ready to put him in the I mean
he's an elite quarterback, but I mean, well, what else
does he.

Speaker 13 (02:30:04):
Have to do?

Speaker 2 (02:30:05):
Yeah, I mean he's got a lot of Let me.
I mean, I know the goat won seven. So you say, well,
he's got to win more than seven. But but I mean, man,
but he's won how many Super bowlsby look?

Speaker 29 (02:30:15):
Is it three?

Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
And correct me if I'm wrong. The goat played in ten?

Speaker 5 (02:30:18):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:30:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (02:30:19):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (02:30:20):
Who in the world will never get near that?

Speaker 1 (02:30:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 12 (02:30:25):
Yeah, he's got three twenty twenty, twenty thirty three, twenty
twenty four, trying to go trying to go four here.

Speaker 2 (02:30:31):
Okay, which would be three in a row, right, yeah, okay, Yeah,
they're trying to win three in a row. Nobody's ever
done it.

Speaker 6 (02:30:38):
Right, So money line back means that you're just you're
you're wagering just to win the game to cover the stork.

Speaker 2 (02:30:44):
Yeah, I got you, Okay, I got you? All right?
So I didn't know what that mess? What Greg just done? Right?
I should have asked Adler? I show up a big game, right?
Oh no, I just have to throw away down. That's
what I'm saying. If you go buy money, you can
afford to lose. Well I've never had that. Yeah, So
you I mean you got to know when to hold them,
no wind to fold them, no end to walk away,

(02:31:06):
you got no wind to run. I like situations you
don't ever put your money out on the table when
you're sitting there, when you're sitting there, because i'd be
time enough for counting. You think you think you can
have something. I mean, but they can be time enough
to count. When When?

Speaker 5 (02:31:27):
When?

Speaker 2 (02:31:27):
When? When?

Speaker 5 (02:31:27):
When?

Speaker 2 (02:31:27):
When the Demon's done done? Y'all? Gary sings the hit
It's coming. Look the audience has responded to that in
such a way. All right, So over on the other side, NFC,
even if I don't have a one point three million
dollar bet for you now that I know of, where
where are we on? On the on the uh? I
just think the Eagles. Come on, Washington. You played over

(02:31:50):
your head and you've you've had an unbelievable year rookie quarterback, unbelievable,
but come on, So this is one of those things
where we see it. Would we go as far? Again,
I haven't followed enough to have any expertise on this,
but it's never stopped U from talking about it anyway.
Has Washington played well enough that I wouldn't call them
Cinderella or do I call them the Cinderella story for

(02:32:12):
the who's left? And they definitely are well. We we've
all watched enough of sports that that old Cinderella Midnight.
You just feel it out there. Yeah. But but now
how they handled the lines were shocking, It really was.
I mean I knew enough about the lines and how
good they are that that shocked me. Not Daniels keeps

(02:32:35):
making good decisions, Yeah he does. There's a divisional rillery.
So these two have already played twice. Do you see
this thing now that Adlers starts chiming in on sports
a lot?

Speaker 14 (02:32:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:32:44):
Do you all remember when he got us about the
World Cup soccer? That time it was the studio and
he was mad? Yeah right, yeah, I have those sports guys.
You really have come along? Is this you're hanging out
with Greg too? Is he helping you here too?

Speaker 1 (02:32:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:32:55):
Yeah, Braves this summer you can sit down. You ain't
got to stand up the whole time.

Speaker 7 (02:32:59):
But I am sitting down.

Speaker 8 (02:33:01):
But he.

Speaker 2 (02:33:03):
Let me say his deal. Now he does a little
bit of assistant coach now sports. For some reason, he
never makes a comment up in the MinC and he
wants to get off the side. They played good this year.

Speaker 7 (02:33:15):
Daniels, I said, clutch, would you say?

Speaker 2 (02:33:20):
Would you say? Well, I couldn't understand you.

Speaker 7 (02:33:21):
And then I also knew how many rings Mahomes had
without looking it up. Y'all, didn't you looked it up?
I did not look at it. I looked it up
to confirm after saying it. Okay, I know, I know,
And also I know Taylor Swift adjacent facts.

Speaker 2 (02:33:35):
I know who you're pulling for because your wife won't
because if we got the Chiefs, we're gonna have Tyler
Swift coverage.

Speaker 21 (02:33:40):
You know.

Speaker 12 (02:33:42):
And once again, but hey, you know what, we gotch
a lot more football in my house and that's going
on with me.

Speaker 2 (02:33:49):
Yeah, that's fine by me because you're a mad man.
All the top of the hour, if you're staying with us,
we'll do the first installment of a barge Ay barge
and so well, look at that. I feel like you
say that, like Jeff Brook if you're if you're, if
you're leaving us, don't forget today's archives, get any part

(02:34:09):
you miss.

Speaker 1 (02:34:09):

Speaker 2 (02:34:24):
You better listen up.

Speaker 13 (02:34:27):
You know what we say, Assi, you gotta.

Speaker 1 (02:34:33):
Find broadcasting from the world the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (02:34:43):

on another hour. You have the Rick Burgess Show alongside me, Speedy,
Greg and Adler all ready to go. If you missed
the show today, catch the daily archives on our podcast

(02:35:03):

have missed suff some of you are asking questions and
stuff that, yeah, that we've already talked about earlier in
the day, including what did Barry and Trump say to Biden?
So go back and catch those archives if you missed it.

(02:35:24):
Also today Wednesday, Bible Study back Daniel chapter eleven will
continue through eleven, getting close to ending our Daniel study.
Already starting to kind of think about what we'll do next.
But catch that today. If you can't catch it live
at noon Central on the YouTube channel, catch the archive later. Also,
tales from Camp House Business Summit Episode two will be

(02:35:46):
available to you today, should be out sometimes around midday.
So we're, you know, we're having fun, celebrating all the
time that we've all spent together over the last thirty
one years, and now something fun and new that we're
the four of us are doing, called the Rick Burgess Show.
So we're trying new things, see what work, what does

(02:36:07):
it work, what sticks? And so one of the things
that we had done you know, I think we see
speedy you know, this version of drive through Password with
you know, Speedy by Me lunch good feedback. Still need
to develop the big vox verdict, but it seems our
first tried that went went went good. You know, having
money and bits and bundles on the wheel seems to

(02:36:28):
be received good. Ye and seg mentors Adler doing really well.

Speaker 5 (02:36:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:36:34):
Our first installment of right Again with Greg that went
oh yeah yeah. So so this is one too, you
know Rick Checks's voicemail. Tried that today, thought that went well.
I loved it. So kind of a play off that is.
Sometimes you get emails from people. I mean we look
at stuff on the text, you know, as it's happening,

(02:36:54):
and every now and then we'll say, well that's that's
something good we need to address. But a lot of
times in emails you just get kind of emails you're like,
you know what if we took that onto the show
and dealt with it, that would probably answer not just
this email person's question, but a lot of people who
probably were wanting that answer to So, so we can
we can refer to this as Heyburg, hey Burg, like

(02:37:17):
Jeff yeah, ay, Barge Ay, barge that's it right there,
ay Birge Ayberg. I got ten minute? How much time
I got on a clock? Two minutes? Not a second
over so never never. Uh So, anyway, this was interesting.
So this is an email, and I'm not going to
use the guy's name because I didn't ask him if

(02:37:38):
I could use his name. But I did say that
I was going to address it on the show today
and if he missed it, let me know I'll answer him.
Did he start out Heyburn's he brd. Here's here's how
it starts a barge ay Berg. Uh So, he says,
I don't understand this. I listened to your show for
many years, thank you. Uh and I never fully understand
when you would say this. Said, do you make the
joke about going to the doctor. The doctor said, let

(02:38:01):
me go get your charts and all overweight seventy five
year olds and he sat there because there was no chart.
I remember you talking about that. Actually JT told us
that remember it scared us, and I referenced it. It's
scared JT. It's a good point, he said. So the
doctor is saying to you when he does this, you're
right about this emailer essentially lose weight and you might
make it today age of seventy five, etc. However, I've

(02:38:24):
heard you say you can't control this by your decisions,
meaning the length of your life. So if a doctor
tells you that if you change your dit, lose weight, etc.
You can be around longer due to these choices, and
you say no, if you lose weight and live healthier,
you can extend your life longer, just as you decided
you want to start. If someone decides they want to smart,

(02:38:45):
to smoke a packer, or to a day that would
shorten their life, how can you say you can't control
the day you die. You are the one making your
diet decisions and the effect that it will affect the
day you die. I don't get it. And then they
go back and say they give me the statement that
I made, which is true, says I'm doing this plan.

(02:39:07):
This is me talking about me addressing my help. I'm
not doing this plan to live longer. I'm a follower
of Christ. I have the biblical world view, and I
believe that we can do nothing to extend the length
of our days. However, we have many choices that we're
allowed to make. That determination on the quality of life
that we live. I do not comment to this. I
do not commit to this to live longer. I commit

(02:39:30):
to this plan to live better and more effectively and
be a better witness for Christ. Well, you have the
statement right, that is correct, So I'll tell you where
that comes from. The key is that I have a
biblical world view. You may not in your hey bird,
chy bird, but know that I've already said that I
believe this because it's what the Bible says. Now, you

(02:39:52):
may disagree with the Bible, and I fully understand that.
But if it really isn't difficult, there's other places in scripture.
But I picked a couple for you. So here is
a Psalm one thirty nine thirteen through sixteen. You may
be familiar with this or may not. Here's what the

(02:40:15):
Psalmist says talking about God. For you formed my inward parts,
You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise
you for I'm fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works.
My soul knows it very well. My frame was not
hidden from you when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Here it

(02:40:35):
is your eyes saw my unformed substance. In your book,
the God's book of life, were written every one of them,
the days that were formed for me, when yet there
was none of them, saying, you know the number of
my days before I was ever born. You've already determined that. Now,

(02:40:56):
if you go to Job fourteen five, here's what Job
says about God. Since his days talking about man, he said,
here's where, here's where we are as humans, and this
is the lot we have from God. Talking about humans,
Job says about a man, this would be mankind man
or a woman. Since his days are determined and the

(02:41:16):
number of his months are. With you, talking about God,
you have appointed limits that he cannot pass. He can't
live any longer than you determine.

Speaker 5 (02:41:26):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:41:26):
And then you look at Jeremiah one five, and you
see God talking to Jeremiah. Before I formed you in
the womb, I knew you, and before you were born,
I consecrated you, and I appointed you a prophet to
the nations before you ever hear so you and then
which you see Jeremiah's life, that God protected him, protected

(02:41:47):
him and protected him. And then when it was time
for Jeremiah's time to be done, he died. So the
scriptures tell me that. And that's the reason why you
see this conversation about suicide. Now, I see nothing in
scripture that says that's an unforgivable sin. But why is
it a sin? Because it kind of goes back to
the Garden of Eden where really the whole thing about

(02:42:10):
you know, us not eating from the from the tree
of good and evil is because what God was saying
is I give you a choice that that trusts me,
that let me determine because I'll always be right. I'll
determine what's right and wrong. And what humans said to
God is no, we want to decide that for ourselves,

(02:42:31):
and we got we got talked into that, and then
there was the fault of the sin. And then now something,
God never intended our bodies to die because of sin,
because we made the choice. We wanted to make our
own decisions and not trust God to make them. So
that it is absolutely true that God has already decided

(02:42:51):
how long we all are going to live, as far
as the number of days. And when it came to
my health, I was the reason why I dealt with
my health. As you you pointed out, I did say this.
It was not to live a longer life. It was
to live a better life, a more effective life, because
I had to deal with the way I was treating
my life was sinful. To your point, I was making

(02:43:15):
choices that I knew were unhealthy for my body and
unhealthy for me, and that was sinful because God had
had given me a life that I was abusing. I
wasn't to And you know, you get to the point
where say, well God called me to something, Well, I'm
so unhealthy I can't even answer that call because I
can't stay out of the hospital, I can't get up

(02:43:36):
off the couch, I can't do whatever. But as far
as the day I was going to die, apparently scripture says,
not me has already been determined by God, and there's
nothing I can do to to change that. So the
decision is decision. Decisions were allowed, like you said correctly
in the email, was how we live our life, not

(02:43:57):
how long we live it. And that's why I sue
was side is a sin because now I'm saying, just
like the garden, I'll decide when I die when God said,
well I've already decided that, so uh so that that
is that's where that came from. It's just a biblical
world view. And and I just gave you just a
handful of verses, and there's plenty more on on what
that's based on. Uh So, when I finally dealt with that,

(02:44:19):
this was sin because I knew that, you know, when
people say, well, I know that God's already said how
long I'm going to live? And and I think even
Elizabeth Elliott talked about, uh, Jim, you know, who was
killed at a very young age by the ecuador you know,
by the the Indians that killed him, and she said, well,
Jim never thought he was going to live a long life.
He was just trying to live an effective life, you know.

(02:44:42):
And so, uh but then you have to say, well,
did did God allow Jim Elliott to be speared? Yes,
because he certainly could have stopped it. Uh so, but
but but but that was already determined when Jim Elliott
was was woven together in his mother's womb. So so
that's uh, that's that's where that I'm from. And that's
a great question. And that is that's how I see

(02:45:04):
the health plans. It's not about extending my life because
there's nothing I can do about that. But It absolutely
is about having a more effective life, uh, and being
able to do the things that God's called me to
do without putting limits on it by abusing my own health.

Speaker 13 (02:45:22):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:45:23):
We'll be back. Thanks for the question.

Speaker 1 (02:45:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the only show hosted
by an Oxford graduate, Well Oxford High School, The Rick

(02:45:50):
Burgess Show. Come on with this.

Speaker 2 (02:45:52):
We're back. Thank you for being with us today. So
let's let's talk a little bit about AMAC, the Associate
Sciation of Mature American Citizens. Now we're all excited, or
not all of you are, but we are that Trump
is back in. But you know, you want to hold
them accountable. Here's all the things the Trump administration says

(02:46:12):
are going to do, and it appears they're off and running,
but you want that one hundred day tracker to kind
of keep them in line. What is the Association of
Mature American Citizens, fellas well, I'll tell you what it is.
It's the conservative alternative to AARP. Yes, you still get
you know, the little discounts you know on travel, you

(02:46:34):
get the benefits, big time discounts on travel, insurance, retail
America's number one conservative magazines and your membership, and you
also get access to this one hundred day tracker that
they have going right now, and you can join it
forty seven percent off and you'll get the first one
hundred day tracker. With that and all the other stuff

(02:46:54):
I just mentioned, all you have to do is go
to amac amac dot us, slash big vox and forty
seven percent off right now. You can get five years
for thirty two bucks. Okay. Also find that link at
Rick burgesshow dot com under sponsors. So on the text line,

(02:47:15):
a lot of you are saying, Hey, who controls the
commercials and stuff on YouTube? That's a good question, It's Gordon.
It's a very complicated thing when it comes to all
the different national campaigns that are out there. And I
will tell you that the show we have a filter
supposedly that says that certain items should not run on

(02:47:38):
anything any content that is ours, live or archived. However, however,
we know that a lot of these places that drop
these national campaigns, they have so much turnover, and just
when somebody understands the filters and tries to do stuff,
somebody will quit or get fired. Some new person comes in.

(02:48:00):
They don't have the filter set right, So We deal
with this a good bit, not a good bit, but
from time to time. So if you're talking about YouTube,
if Blaze TV is placing it, you're not gonna have
any issues. But if it's just a drop in from
YouTube themselves, you've got to be sure those filters are there.
So apparently they've dropped one involving Rue Paul or something

(02:48:24):
that that shouldn't happen. It does from time to time,
but we don't really have any control over that other
than they have the information that shouldn't have dropped on
anything we have, and when it happens, we report it
and then hopefully something's done about it. So thank you
for letting us know. All right, So other things we're
looking at. So when you when you look, you remember
New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Yes, Eric Adams is

(02:48:47):
kind of going through some things we've seen others go through, okay,
And and when when there are people that say, I
love the idea and the feel goodism of left and
they feel great about it until the left turns on them,
are they actually have to experience the downside of all

(02:49:09):
this emotional gobbly goo and New York City Mayor Eric
Adams joins Rfk Junior and Tulca Gabbard. Also to a degree,
Elon Musk. They didn't put him on the list, but
I would include Elon Musk. I knew that would wake
Greg back up that they didn't leave the Democratic Party.

(02:49:30):
The Democratic Party has left them. And so Tucker Carlson
is talking with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, about
this very topic. Here we go creating your flight. You know,
then that's exactly what you happen.

Speaker 19 (02:49:43):
So people often say, well, you know, you don't sound
like a Democrat, and you know you seem to have
left the party. No, the party left me and the
left working class people in our conversations that we should
be talking about are not the issues that every day
people that are in how talking about. People are concerned
about the future of their families and that should be

(02:50:05):
our focus, and that's the focus of this administration.

Speaker 2 (02:50:07):
Does seem that way. Yeah, So the next one he's
he's going on, he say, look, here's what I was
politically targeted about because he spoke out about New York
City paying the price for once, you know, being part
of this wide open border nobody being vetted. Well, all
that sounded good. Until I give them credit. Other governors

(02:50:29):
started making New York City in places like that experience
what it's really like to take on these illegals. And
he said that he got the message and that costume
here here we go. Oh I'm sorry, we.

Speaker 12 (02:50:41):
Said, And he's going to dis Tucker's going to discuss
because he had those cases brought against him, his house
was raided and all that, and Tucker's going to mention that.

Speaker 11 (02:50:49):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:50:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 30 (02:50:50):
I mean, I think anyone who reads the in date
when will come away confused. And that's kind of why
I was so anxious to talk to you.

Speaker 2 (02:50:56):
What what was this?

Speaker 30 (02:50:57):
I mean, you're a Democrat lifelong, you were mayor of
the biggest city of the United States. It's overwhelmingly Democrats city.
You're one of the most important Democrat officials in the country.
You were indicted by Joe Biden's Justice Department.

Speaker 5 (02:51:09):
What was that?

Speaker 19 (02:51:10):
Well, and many people dismiss when we stated that we
felt we were a target. They wanted to dismiss that.
And then you heard the president's state that his Justice
department was politicized. You heard the incoming president that is politicized.
I think that there were those who were in that

(02:51:30):
orbit that felt that was not a good Democrat because
I watched my city, the city that I loved, go
through and onslaught of the migrant and immigration policy of
fail a border policy, and after ten trips to Washington,
stayed in that this is a problem. It was costing

(02:51:52):
us a great deal of money six point five billion
dollars that went out of our tax dollars. And I
think that they, with those who were just angry about it,
thought I wasn't a good Democrat.

Speaker 30 (02:52:03):
Because you complained about allowing tens hundreds of thousands of
illegals from foreign nationals who have no ready to be
here to come to your city and you have to
pay for it, and you complained, and this indictment was
punishment for complaining.

Speaker 19 (02:52:17):
So just that is that is clearly my belief, and
based on several aspects of it that I can't go
into detail, but there are other aspects of it that
shows me that you know, I was talkative because of that.

Speaker 2 (02:52:32):
Well, and we can do that. No, you didn't get
in line. You had the audacity to think for yourself
and point out the obvious, and we can't have that.

Speaker 14 (02:52:40):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (02:52:41):
Phone calls are next America much to discuss. We've hit
a lot today on the show, and I hope you've
been with us and enjoyed it. If not, catch those

Speaker 25 (02:54:41):

it's so cold here.

Speaker 2 (02:54:45):
Yeah, you've come all the way from Alaska and now
you've found your way right back in the middle of
winter weather. Have you done the thing where you check
and see if Alaska is actually warmer?

Speaker 29 (02:54:57):
It is?

Speaker 10 (02:54:57):
It is.

Speaker 25 (02:54:58):
I've already talked with my well, text with my wife
this morning and it's ten degrees warmer there.

Speaker 2 (02:55:03):
Yeah. What are you doing? Where are you? Why? I
am I?

Speaker 25 (02:55:07):
Well, I'm doing RV life now and doing disaster reliefs.
So my RV was in Oregon and me and my
brother just drove it across country fifty nine hours to
get across, and the RV never got above thirty two degrees.
We looked like either the most manly men ever or

(02:55:29):
dumb and dumber.

Speaker 2 (02:55:30):
So why couldn't you get in above thirty two degrees?
What's wrong with the RV?

Speaker 25 (02:55:35):
Well, nothing's wrong with the RV. It was minus two
and most of the places that we drove through in Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah. Yeah,
we chose the northern route hoping it would not be
as cold as it was. And yeah, we were running
an electric heater and also a propane heater and a

(02:55:58):
dash heater and couldn't get did about thirty two degrees.
We were bundled up.

Speaker 2 (02:56:02):
It was I was wearing two hats yao yaosa hawk
and the.

Speaker 25 (02:56:08):
Tires kept going uh deflated, and I kept having to
stop and and fill them up, and in that with
a yeah, it was. It was miserable, but we made it.

Speaker 2 (02:56:19):
So what where are you now? Right now?

Speaker 25 (02:56:22):
I'm in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, at my son's house, and the
r V is completely frozen.

Speaker 5 (02:56:27):
Up.

Speaker 25 (02:56:27):
I got to take it to Mississippi today or tomorrow
and get them to fix my water lines Mississippi.

Speaker 2 (02:56:33):
Why you got to go to Mississippi.

Speaker 25 (02:56:36):
Because that's where I take my r V to get
worked on.

Speaker 2 (02:56:41):
There's nowhere in Kentucky.

Speaker 25 (02:56:43):
No, well it's a it's I have a tiffin. You
take it to a person who knows how to work
on a tiffin.

Speaker 2 (02:56:51):
Well, I don't even know what that means that you
know what he's talking about.

Speaker 7 (02:56:53):

Speaker 9 (02:57:13):

Speaker 2 (02:57:25):

hope I don't think yourybody's really listening. So you mean
to tell me you've pulled off some sort of deal
where you and your brother are just kind of traveling

of Fortune, possibly one of the greatest gigs there is
in entertainment. Lots and lots of money to not do

(03:05:05):
a whole lot, and that's not as good as what Vanna.
Vanna's gig is the best. Oh, at least Seacrest has
to keep this thing moving and apparently can also get hurt.
We've got an accommodation, Greg that you live for. We
have a very energetic, large effeminate man that is going

(03:05:27):
to win, and little Ryan Seacrest pays the price. Oh boy, no,
So take take a look at this addler. I guess
you're setting this up.

Speaker 12 (03:05:35):
And Seacrest at the beginning of the clip is going
to say something that they I think they flashed back
to and so that's kind of explains.

Speaker 7 (03:05:43):
Why this guy did this.

Speaker 2 (03:05:46):
Yeah, okay, a pick me up, throw me over, tackle me.
I'm totally fine with it.

Speaker 7 (03:05:52):
I means, yes, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (03:06:10):
Let me tell you if someone's fine. It's one thing
for somebody to be flamboyant and not have a lot
of girth. When you got a big fellow excited about guppy. Yeah,
and he's got the word gup. He's and won something big,
marg Yeah, he just fell. He knocks, he knocked secrests down,
good grace Rick. He's a little fella. Yeah, he was
so excited. Yeah he did so. Seacrest went went down.

(03:06:33):
When you're excited, what's your go to? What do you do? No,
you don't do that? What do you make noise? Do
you throw your hands around? What are you probably going?

Speaker 15 (03:06:43):
Like?

Speaker 2 (03:06:44):
Well, just wait a minute, that's it.

Speaker 5 (03:06:47):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:06:48):
He was like, well, I dance up until about a
week ago. That's true.

Speaker 13 (03:06:54):
What do you do?

Speaker 2 (03:06:56):
I don't know that. I've seen you do that a
lot when something is ala?

Speaker 3 (03:07:00):
What do you do?

Speaker 2 (03:07:00):
I'm you know, I do you know? What I do?
Sounds good? A man? No, I can watch that guy

(03:07:21):
over in thousand times. Yeah, this one's funny, but it's
nothing like that. No, the guy who comes up there
and pops and wraps. Yeah, that that guy. Yes, okay, guys,
this is.

Speaker 4 (03:07:43):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:07:43):
So so right now they're they're talking about doing a
little bit better. Let's talk that a little bit.

Speaker 5 (03:07:50):
Be there.

Speaker 2 (03:07:52):
One of the things. One of the things that you
hear people talking about, let's go with, let's go with.
You know, there's not a lot of wait, and it
will get hurt to move around. It's one of those things.
You know you're old when no one wants you to
do anything that might hurt you. You know, something something
really out there, like dancing. It wants that. So air squats,
air squats, air squads, air squats, air squats. When you

(03:08:16):
hear air squat, you go, oh, thank goodness, it's not
a weighted squat. It's just air squats and all that
means is your body weight and you do a squat
and you come back up. So other, Yeah, I felt weird.
Apparently apparently some nutrition physical somebody trainer, uh the Mayo

(03:08:38):
Clinic that for some reason not always commenting on something.
They're saying that based on your age, if you want
to see where you are physically based on your age.
There's a number of air squats you should set a squads. Yeah,
you should be able to do in sixty seconds. Ooh,
I don't see how many? Adler? All right, So if

(03:09:01):
you don't do it, what does he have to do
If you are at the age from twenty to thirty
men and women, they say men should be able to
do fifty air squats in sixty seconds. Wow, okay, women
should be able to do forty five. Okay, forty five
And they say that shows that's not that shows a

(03:09:23):
top fitness level.

Speaker 4 (03:09:25):
Top.

Speaker 2 (03:09:26):
She says, I know that sounds like a high number.
The woman talking, Yes, it does, by the way, for me.
But they say strength and endurance are typically at their
peak in this age range and should be attainable. So
they're saying we were at our peak between twenty and thirty.
If we go to thirty one to forty, it now
drops by ten. It says that we should be able

(03:09:49):
to do forty.

Speaker 7 (03:09:52):
In a minute and the air squats in a minute. Yeah,
and well that's easy.

Speaker 2 (03:09:56):
And women should be able to do thirty five.

Speaker 7 (03:09:58):
That's your number, all right, speach on Rick space and
show us how to do it. Well, three, don't you.

Speaker 2 (03:10:04):

Speaker 7 (03:10:10):

rick space.

Speaker 3 (03:10:13):

my time. I'm gonna read y'all that verse again today, okay,

(03:10:37):
