Speaker 3 (00:19):
Day, starting your morning off right, A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in the studio.
This is your morning show with Michael Bill Charman.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
All evidence to the contrary in terms of starting your
hoarding off right well, tamper to.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
The mound and.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Seven minutes after the hour, Welcome to Wednesday, April the
second year of Our Lord.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
The GOP bolstered their House majority by retaining two seats
in Florida despite the naysayers, Jimmy patonas a winter in
District one and Randy Fine winner in District six. Meanwhile,
Liberal Susan Judge Liberal Judge Susan Crawford the winner of
that open seat in Wisconsin, so they maintain the makeup
(01:09):
of the court in Wisconsin. But we did get voter
ID approved in Wisconsin. That's kind of a big victory.
Maybe the Elon Musk turnout may have helped. President Trump
is calling today Liberation Day. New tariffs expected to take
effect in Canada, Mexico, China, and the European Union, and
the White House is reported looking at what would what
(01:31):
it would cost to control Greenland. We invited them to
come in and be taken over. Now let's see if
we can make them an offer they can't refuse. And
where do we begin? On Val Kilmer, This is going
to shock a lot of people waking up this morning.
Val Kilmer, the actor, has died at the age of
sixty five, according to family, Apparently, the cause of death
was pneumonia. I got to tell you something I had.
(01:54):
You know, we had these conversations in the car all
the time, Like my brother volitionally brought it up while
he was in town. Bands we didn't get I would
tell you that I was never a fan of the Doors.
There was a great voice there, but there was also
a lot of weirdness there. And I think, you know,
(02:16):
I disagree with Red's gonna say real genius, but.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, the Doors.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I thought His portrayal in the Doors was absolutely right
up there with like Robert Downey Junior when he did Chaplain.
It was just that good. I mean it was like
Outer Body, but top Gun, Tombstone, all the great work, Falcon.
I'm a Hucklebert Tombstone batman forever. I'm trying to think
(02:51):
of all the things, A lot more things than people say,
did you say top Gun?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
I did say?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
And the latest top Gun, which was what Maverick right
technically yes, called Maverick, not Tapka.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
The Saint loved him in The Saint where he played
all the different characters.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well I don't think I saw that. Oh that was
that was great. I mean he was a master.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Unlike the other guy from Saturday and now he was
a master of disguises in The Saint and a spy
and I just absolutely loved that movie.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Well you know, the Doors portrayal. And again I just
I don't say this to take a cheap shot at
the Doors. I just was never that huge of a fan.
But his Morrison portrayal was just breathtaking. Sad way to
start the day, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
All Right?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
We did poles of plenty today and in our polls
of plenty.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
We're going to take a look at.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
A ras Musen report that shows what did I do
with my poles A plenty. I'm just digging, dig and dig. Well,
there's the election there it is. The headline is Democrats
divided over parties direction. Now again all of this.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
That I read and I are looking at it. You know,
what is a moderate anymore? I don't know. John F.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Kennedy was certainly a conservative Democrat in nineteen sixty and
there were party differences and the party was divided. Then
they united the party and for the necessity of getting
the electoral votes in Texas, chose Johnson.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
LBJ.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
But you know LBJ and the Democrat Party were where
he took them. After Kennedy's assassination, so you had the
New Deal Roosevelt and then it's book ended by the
Great Society Johnson. But that was never meant to happen
because Kennedy, the Conservative, won that election, and then it
(05:03):
was able to happen after he was killed. So in
nineteen sixty, I can tell you what the Democrat Party
was government solutions, and what John F. Kennedy was self
governance and government priorities. The things that individuals can't do
(05:23):
and government must do for the collective. But now it's
twenty twenty five, what's a progressive? Bernie Sanders will look
you right in the eye and refer to himself as
a progressive.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
But that's socialist.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Oh I thought that that would know?
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Well, no, yes, you know, after all, AOC will do
the same. So I don't know what a socialist is.
I don't know what a progressive is. I don't know
what a moderate is. I think we'd all agree establishment
Democrats simply do not exist, nor do conservative Democrats. So
that's important when you're looking at this, because these things
all are in the eye of the beholder. So in
(06:03):
the aftermath of last year's election and defeat, Democrat voters
are divided over which way their party should go. That
we know fifty percent of likely voters believe Democrat the
Democrat party needs to be more moderate again. Now we
get to what what could possibly, in the mind of
those people on the phone, define being more moderate. Twenty
(06:25):
seven percent think the Democrats need to be more liberal.
I don't know what's what's left of AOC and Bernie Sanders.
Maybe the violence we're seeing professless and charging stations. Among
Democrat voters, nearly forty nine percent say their party needs
(06:46):
to be more moderate. Now, listen, everything I'm describing to
you is not just for the fun of talk radio.
This is the very dilemma the party is facing. If
I can't explain what a moderate is, how are they
going to unite their party in addressing moderates. If I
(07:07):
can't tell the difference between a socialist and a progressive,
how are they going to to know whether to go
more left or less left? For a party that abandoned God,
absolute truth, the Constitution. They're playing loose with moral relativism,
and now they've got to figure out a direction for
(07:28):
this party in the slippery sands they've created.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
That's the most beautiful part about this research.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I could hand this to any I could hand this
to the smartest Democrat. Now, good luck pulling it off,
good luck discerning these answers, and good luck identifying these
people to unite them. Remember, leadership is many people going
in one direction. How are you going to round up
all these straight cats? Reminds me strict catstruck, But a
(08:01):
great song I was thinking, the same thing.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Isn't it? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Can we make that a rejoin. Was there enough of
an intro? Can you see how add I am today?
I'm far more interested in my thoughts than these stories.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
That was a great sound.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Oh man, wasn't that. Let's just throwback. That's a fifties
B right.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Oh, with a little big band sound to it.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Yeah, that is a great sound. Yeah, sounds like something
Freddie Mercury would have done. Yeah, we're gonna make that
a recording. Yeah, yeah, we got to. I'm glad that
came up. Only our platinum card listeners will remember this,
this terrible moment when they hear it. Among Democrat voters,
nearly half forty nine percent say their party needs to
be more moderate, whatever that is. Thirty eight percent believe
the party needs to be more liberal, whatever that is.
(08:45):
Mong voters not affiliated with either major party, fifty six
percent of unaffiliated voters that may be a good place
for them to start, because they've certainly lost Hispanics, lost Blacks,
lost independence, lost men. Fifty six percent of unaffiliated voters
believe the Democratic Party needs to be more moderate. So
somebody's got to discern all these tug of wars. Has
this party gone too far left and needs to come
(09:07):
back to America or not, and it seems to be
very split. The majority of men fifty seven percent and
women fifty two percent think Democrats need.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
To be more moderate.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Sixty one percent of whites, forty six percent of blacks,
fifty four percent of Hispanics, and sixty eight percent of
minorities believe the Democrat Party needs to be more moderate.
The path forward for this party is back towards America
to the right. This party is not capable of turning right,
and even if it did, as we demonstrated yesterday with
(09:39):
Gavin Newsom, it's just simply not believable and they have
no credibility in such a pivot. These polls are starting
to catch up with my gut, which senses there'll be
no Democrat Party as we know it by the end
of the decade, maybe even literally by the end of
(10:01):
the decade.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
And then, don't.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Forget, they have about a third of their party warring
against the party to take it over, then removed the
electoral College, then dismantled the Republic. But first things first,
they got to conquer the Democrat Party. And because they're
activists and out in primaries, all I can say to
(10:26):
remove me from the equation. It worked in twenty sixteen,
Bernie Sanders would have been the nominee. It worked in
twenty twenty Bernie Sanders would have been the nominee. It's
likely to work again in twenty twenty eight, only will
it be AOC this time. This party's got big, big
(10:51):
problems ahead. But here's the good news. Most of America's
drift into danger was this party going so far left
and dragging America left with it. But wokeness seems dead.
The direction seems obvious. America is not interested in burning
(11:14):
tesla's and charging stations. They're not interested in men competing
against women in sports. They could not be more on
the wrong side of history than they are right now,
and they don't seem to have a right turn signal.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
It's your morning show with Michael del Journo.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno and
the all your top five stories of the dead.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
While the Democratic backed Dane County Judge Susan Crawford maintains
the liberal control of the Wisconsin court with the victory
last night, did I wear that to your uh?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Just get a thumbs up from bread?
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Is that how you unawarented says, why are you like
Rory O'Neal is such a stickler for a wording? The
Democratic backed Dane County Judge Susan Crawford maintains the liberal
control of the court in Wisconsin with the victory last night,
Mark Mayfield has more.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
Crawford defeated Republican back to former Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimmel.
While technically a nonpartisan race, it became the target of
millions spent by groups linked to Elon Musk, who supported Shimmel.
It's the most expensive state Supreme Court race in US history,
with both sides spending over an estimated one hundred million dollars.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I'm Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Meanwhile, for control and to bolster the control of Republicans
in the People's House. Randy Fine is credited President Trump
for his victory in the sixth District of Florida and
a race over Democrat Josh Wheel.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
I'm gonna work just as hard for everybody.
Speaker 8 (12:48):
I'm going to represent these six counties just like I
have for eight and a half years in the legislature.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
As for Republican Jimmy Patronis, he is the winner in
Florida's first district patronis the state's chief financial law officer,
use the victory speech to pledge his support for President
Trump as well.
Speaker 9 (13:04):
Let it be known that this election is a reminder
that Florida Panhandle will forever be read and it will
be forever Trump Country.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Probably a worthy quote considering the main street media and
certainly the Democrats wanted to make everybody in America believe.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
This could go either way, and then you know, would
go Trump's way.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
New Jersey Senator Corey Booker is recovering like the senator
is having to recover after a twenty five hours speech.
Said nothing just like a congressman, right and his senator
talk for twenty five hours, and nobody gives.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
Our good reason he had to stand up against the
Trump administration.
Speaker 10 (13:43):
They're going to try to push through a bill that's
gonna gut eight hundred and eighty billion dollars from Medicaid.
They're going to try to put forward to a bill
that's going to give tax cuts to the wealthiest of
our country disproportionately trillions of dollars. It's outrageous and we
have got to try to stop him.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
New Jersey Democrats started his marathon speech at seven o'clock
Eastern time Monday night in protest of the Trump administration.
Booker is protesting Trump's tariffs steps Trump is taking to
dismantle the Department of Education and other policies, saying the
nation is in crisis.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
The longest speech given on the.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
Senate floor was twenty four hours and eighteen minutes back
in nineteen fifty seven. Booker was allowed to take extended
pauses for questions from fellow Democrats. He says he fasted
in the day leading up to his speech to avoid
things like having to go to the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I'm Tammy Trio just sick, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Actor Val Kilmer is dead at the age of sixty five.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Jason Campedonia reports.
Speaker 11 (14:37):
Val Kilmer played such roles as singer Jim Morrison as.
Speaker 7 (14:41):
To Marrison, I'd like to go make a record, Sure what.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Batman? I have a riddle for.
Speaker 11 (14:47):
You for me, Doc Holliday, I'mia Hackelberra and Iceman.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
I heard that about you if you like to work alone.
Speaker 11 (14:58):
Kilmer had been battling cancer for many years and has
died at the age of sixty five. His daughter telling
The New York times that the star died from complications
with pneumonia.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I'm Jason Campedonia.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
He got all of our lines, and did you notice
that I got every one of our favorites.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Yeah, his portrayal of Jim Morrison.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
I put it right up there with Robert Downey Junior's
portrayal of Chaplain.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
It was just Friday. But yeah, you went with Doc Hollywood.
What was rhetz like? Oh, real genius. I haven't seen that,
so I have to check that one out.
Speaker 12 (15:30):
This is Richard from Clovilla, Georgia, and my morning show
is your Morning Show with Michael dale Giorno.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Hey, it's me Michael.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Your Morning Show has heard live from five to eight
am Central, six to nine am Eastern, three to six
am Pacific on great radio stations like News Radio eleven
ninety k EX in Portland, News Talk five point fifty
k f YI, and Phoenix, Arizona Freedom one oh four
seven in Washington, d C.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
We'd love to have to join.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Us live in the morning, even take us along on
the drive to work.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
But better late than never enjoyed the podcast. I just stunned.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
My colleagues heart were the by admitting I've never seen
Tombstone speechless, but I did catch up on House of David.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
What a spectacular series. I highly recommend never seen Tombstone
doc eating Tombstone pizzas.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
We need to we need to have a sleepover, get
some Tombstone pizzas.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Tombstone was Dennis Quaid whiter. No, that was Goldie's husband,
Kurt Russell. Yes, yes he was. He was wider and
I remember when I don't know why I remember being
Dennis Quaid was like coughing up blood. Bill Paxing. Uh,
that was Bell. Yeah, I've seen a scene. I just
(16:55):
don't remember seeing the whole movie. I'll watch it on
a ring goo.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Look, I may even want Jim played Jim Morrison again
in The Doors. All Right.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
GOP bolstered their House majority by retaining both seats in Florida,
the ones vacated by Waltz and Gates. Jimmy Patronis is
the winner in the first district, Randy Fine the winner
in the sixth district. In Wisconsin, all was not lost.
They did get voter ide approved, but they will maintain
the same liberal makeup of their court. Susan Crawford winner
(17:23):
in that open seat Wisconsin Supreme court race, and President
Trump says today is America's Liberation Day. New tariffs expected
to take effect in Canada, Mexico, China, and the European
Union years.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
You know, we cannot have simply can't happen.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
How do you have something called your morning show and
you're never on it?
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Right?
Speaker 4 (17:41):
You get it. That's why we have the talk back line.
I believe we're starting with Gabe and the Lou although
he's not in the lou anymore.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
It is awful, sad to hear about Val Kilmer. He
was a great one two stone, the best, the best,
well one of them.
Speaker 13 (17:59):
I mean, look, I mean think about it, man.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Now, Kilmer was great. I'm sad over that.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
I always love Gabe's energy and passion. Yeah, I love
that he calls me by my childhood nickname. That very
few No, he heard it once and he never let
go moke. He is apparently left Saint Louis. It is
not living in o'callup.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Maybe he got kicked out as they lose, don't Gabe.
There's everything about you that I love. But of all them,
you're gonna go Willow. We're taking your man Carde.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
No turn it in, go to the nearest drive through
window of a of a McDonald's. Hand over your man
card to Youngstown, Ohio.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
We go next.
Speaker 14 (18:40):
I'm a Republican that voted for Trump three times, but
I used to cringe when I'd go buy a house
and see a big banner in the yard that said
have to Biden. I'm sure there's just many Democrats that
cringe when they see these morons burning Tesla.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Deal just for the angry people that may be yelling
at the radio, there is a difference between putting some
a sign that is offensive to others in your own
yard and you can look away, or you can be
in disgust and then destroying someone else's vehicle.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I mean, there is a difference. I'll grant you that,
but your point is well made.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
The problem is I don't have a bunch of Democrats
lined up to tell other Democrats how wrong this is.
And in fact, I don't know what's louder. And we're
gonna get with David Sanati about who's behind the whole
signal thing. We have the generals identified, but you're gonna
(19:40):
hear in sounds of the day Elon Musk knows who
the generals are behind all these attacks on teslas and charging.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Stations, and I don't think they're Republicans. Last one I
believe is Brian. It's a sad day here in Wisconsin.
Sad day. Oh man.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Well, I mean, you know, hey, for all we know, uh,
you know, Elon Musk could have certainly overplayed his hand
and thus energized a base in a special election.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
There's no question.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
I think I think it probably in this race did
more harm than good, although I don't know any of
us can prove that it had any influence either way,
but it could have got a lot of people out
to make sure the voter I D got approved. In
the long run, that along with Nebraska being winner take all,
it's gonna be steps in the right direction.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Not so set, not so sad. Pizza boy, and you
have the set.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Of spire, stop it, don't you?
Speaker 5 (20:44):
No, No, it is the motto keep calm.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
Twenty minutes after the hour, these are your sounds of
the day. Well this was yesterday, you know, as the media,
mainstream media was really trying to play a control of
the country is about to shift to the Democrats in
two special elections.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
What an embarrassment.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
How fast Trump has fallen of course, it's a narrative
that has since died of reality. But here's how our
favorite Scott Jennings handled the nonsense in the moment.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
These special elections will tell us blank, eh, very little.
Speaker 8 (21:21):
I mean, look, there's special elections, and turnout in a
special election is vastly different than a turnout in a
midterm or even a turnout in a presidential To Maria's
point about people being sick of Donald Trump, I just
point out and SEEBS poll yesterday.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
He has a fifty percent approval.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
Rating, which is higher than the portion of the vote
he got in November elections. I don't think people are
really sick of it. I do think a couple of
things are true. Number one, the Republican Party is grappling
with a new reality. We have a lot of voters
in the party that do not vote regularly. They're low
propensity voters. They turned out for Donald Trump. They like
to vote when he's on the ballot. But even in
the November election, you saw people show up vote Trump
(21:55):
and then leave the rest of it blank.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
I know you guys know how I feel about him.
He's just.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
In a sea of voices in an ocean of noise.
He's somebody you should be listening to. We've always said
it this way. Is this a big Republican stronghold. Is
this a big red wave? No, it's an orange wave,
and it belongs to Donald Trump. And if he doesn't
play kingmaker, well and hand this off to the next
(22:24):
don't assume this is Republican victories. Now, he is right,
it's a special election, and turnout is bad, and Republicans
are bad at turning out in special elections. But Patrona
is still one ninety seven to seventy two thousand. Now,
if you compare that to what Gates did, Gates won
two hundred and seventy four thousand to one hundred and
(22:47):
forty thousand. I'll grant you that with far less voters,
fifty six percent is lower than sixty six percent, But
you're not comparing apples to or.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
It's a special election.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Randy Fine one with one hundred and ten thousand votes
to Josh Wheel's eighty three thousand votes.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
That was fifty six to forty two.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Michael Waltz, who's now fat thumbing Conference, calls one with
sixty six point five percent of the vote two hundred
and eighty four thousand to one hundred and forty three thousand,
So the percentages are off, but that's special elections and
they don't scream assign a problem. As we talked about,
we're gonna talk with David Snadi about the who's behind
all this signal stuff with Goldberg because there's somebody behind it.
(23:33):
There are strange names that pop up, and there's money
behind it. Elon Musk went on Fox last night to
report he knows who's behind all this violence aimed at Tesla.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
And charging stations. There's gonna be some very embarrassing prosecutions. Listen.
Speaker 12 (23:55):
Attorney General Bondi has said the same thing.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
I believe that that is exactly what will happen. Do
you know who they are? We're coming for them. Do
you know who those generals are?
Speaker 15 (24:03):
We know, we do, yes, And hopefully the prosecution will
be for RICO and an organized criminal enterprise, which makes
the penalty were more serious.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Uh And now to.
Speaker 12 (24:16):
Jesse, yes, yes, absolutely, these these are these are serious crimes.
Speaker 10 (24:23):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (24:24):
Where the organizers and pushes of mass violence, we'll go
to prison for a very long time.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
I think it's going to blow up in their face.
When we talk about whether it's Trump derangement syndrome, Musat
derangement syndrome. I don't know if it's a separate Tesla
derangement syndrome. Going back to the caller just a few
minutes ago. You know, I'm sure there's a lot of
Democrats that are like this. This is one of the problems. Now,
(24:54):
some of this is mental illness. Remember yesterday, in that poll,
who really is out there supporting attacking teslas? We found
it was democrats, it was atheists, it was young people,
and it was those that pay attention to the news
(25:16):
multiple times a day.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
See.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Somewhere mixed in with all of this is the Social Dilemma, which,
by the way, shameless plug. If you've never seen the
documentary The Social Dilemma, you're six years late. But go
watch it. It will give you a lens to view
the world like you've never had before. You've seen lives changed.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Right.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
That was a normal person when I knew her. Now
she's getting dolled up and doing films all day long.
Not everybody responds to social media the same some get obsessed.
Not every response to the news the same way. Some
get obsessed. There's mental illness, there's social dilemma, and then
there's derangement, and there's this US versus them mentality out there.
(26:12):
This really struck Red and Jeff Hard yesterday. This is
a young woman and she's describing a coworker that she
once respected.
Speaker 16 (26:24):
Listen found us day that somebody that I work with
is a conservative, and he's somebody who's really intelligent, and
he's somebody who works in climate tech as a super
smart guy.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
Some super smart guy works in something you're trying to
forgereut how they turned on Tesla once their golden child.
This guy was super smart, he was working in climate tech.
She really liked him, but she found out he was conservative.
Apparently no longer he smart, Apparently no longer is he
a great guy. This is the social dilemma, This is
(26:57):
the US versus them mentality that's been create.
Speaker 16 (27:00):
Somebody I would never have thought was conservative and apparently
he is.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
And it's surprising and it's disgusting.
Speaker 16 (27:06):
But what's most surprising to me is the level of
sudden hatred that I have for him. Sudden hatred for
this man who I used to respect suddenly just went
poop poop and I and.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
That is the woke mind virus in a social media
convention confession. Now, would she give him the right to
respond to this would disgust We said it looked like
a combination of Porter Wagner and Uncle Sam. But it
(27:49):
was a big day in the Oval office for kid
Rock and he shared with Fox how that and the
Bill Maher meeting came about.
Speaker 13 (27:58):
And thirty seconds I went I Bill's show, I went
on his podcast and I said, man, you know, nothing
happens if people don't break bread together and me face
to face.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
He's been one of the president's hardest critics.
Speaker 13 (28:08):
And we came to dinner, Me, Bill, Dana White and
and it could not have been better. Everyone was so surprised,
so so pleasant. The most shocking thing to me was,
you know, Bill's obviously very big liberal and very hard
in the president, but he's donated a lot of money
to other politicians. You know, we've had Biden, Clinton, Obama, everybody.
He had never been to the White House, and the
(28:29):
President was so gracious. He took us up to the
private residence. We saw the Gettysburg address in the Lincoln
bedroom and I was like, you've never been here, Bill,
And I was like, how about this President Trump?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
You know, extending this olive branch and like, and we talked.
Speaker 13 (28:42):
About things we had in common, you know, ending wokeness,
you know, you know, securing the border. You know, the
President was asking him what he thought about policy, you know,
going on with Iran and Israel and things.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
It was, it just meant, it blew my mind. It
was I was. I was, you know, very very proud.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
You know that it wasn't always this way, isn't always
this dysfunctional. I remember I was very close friends with
well Steham Steve Largin, and I remember one time we
went to his ranch and when we were driving, he
was talking. He going, well, I was with Bill last night,
the President, Oh how'd that go? And also he got
like all somber, Michael, I'm telling you, you'd love him.
(29:23):
That was his response, you'd love him. I said, what
do you mean, I'd love him? You'd love him. He's
just he's just the greatest guy. It's hard to meet
with him.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
I mean, how can we have nothing in common and
yet he'd be such a great former football players?
Speaker 4 (29:39):
Because that's how the real Bill Clinton would make you
feel and charm you.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
So part of this is charm.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
I mean people that get alone with Donald Trump, whether
it's Joe Rogan, no matter who it is, they they
tend to and that I mean, you'll never get Bill
mar to be a Republican, but he knows the Democrats
have become crazy and he can be won over by
Trump and that could be really big. But I mean
the message here is we could have differences and still
(30:08):
get along. I have a friend who's an atheist. I
love him most days. I die for him before I
died for people quote unquote that are my brother. There
is an illness, there is a dysfunction we're living in
and if it dies as fast as wokeness, will be
all the better for it. That is your Sounds of
(30:28):
the Day.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chono. Good morning, Michael.

For eight and a half years in the legislature.

Let it be known that this election is a reminder
that Florida Panhandle will forever be read and it will
be forever Trump Country.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
Some lawmakers are rallying for whole milk and school a
