Hoewel de curatieve zorg slechts beperkt bijdraagt aan de fors oplopende zorgkosten, is het belangrijk om kritisch te kijken naar verspilling in ziekenhuizen, huisartsen en geneesmiddelen, zegt Marcel Levi, internist en hoogleraar geneeskunde. ‘Zeker daar waar krapte heerst, moeten we ons misschien even achter de oren krabben of die zorg met een iets minder gouden randje kan, maar dan wél toegankelijk en bereikbaar voor iedereen.’
