This episode was released in January 2023 to coincide with the Tour Down Under event and an increase in cyclists using our roads during the warmer months.  Byron Gordon was the first life lost on South Australian roads of 1 January 2021.  He was cycling with good mate, Geoffrey Doe, along Seaview Road, Henley Beach.

It was then that a vehicle crossed onto the incorrect side of the road, narrowly missing Geoff and stuck Byron.  Geoff and witnesses immediately commenced CPR on Byron but despite their efforts, Byron died at the crash scene.

Bryon was a GP at the Kingston Family Clinic South Brighton and his daughter is a serving SAAS paramedic.
