"טייס בן ארבע וחצי" הוא סיפור ילדים מאת הרב נערן אשחר ז"ל, אותו כתב ביחד עם ילדיו. נערן היה איש שחיבר את הכל בדרך שהייתה שמורה רק לו. יצר ונתן, חילק והעניק באהבה למשפחתו, מפרי יצירותיו, מתנות קטנות וגדולות. הוא חי והרגיש את הסובבים אותו, בלב פתוח, בשמחה וברגישות יוצאת דופן. רס"ר (במיל') נערן אשחר ז"ל נפל בפעילות מבצעית צפון הארץ, במלחמת "חרבות ברזל". איש מיוחד שחיבר עולמות בחייו, והציל לאחר מותו עוד ארבעה אנשים בזכות תרומת איבריו.
