In the midst of the darkness, there was one woman who chose to help the Jewish people from this mass genocide. Her name was Irena Sendler.
Irena was a kind and compassionate woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Using her various connections and clever tactics, she saved the lives of more than 2000 young Jewish children.

She stood up to the Nazis and aided the Jews all while staring at death right in its face.
