Lyrics taken from a poem entitled, The Desert's Son that can be found in a book called, Broken Reflection by the same author.

The original words and meaning have been altered and formatted to fit this dream.

Lyrics:

[verse 1][chorus] Look into my eyes, look deep inside, what do you see. Something I must find, I lost as a child, where could it be.

Red Rover, Red Rover, send Ronnie on over Hold on, something's calling to me.  It comes from the basement, mis-stepped hit my head on the pavement,  for thirteen years I would wander in dreams.

[verse 2] I took a walk to get away. Got lost in thought, I walked for days. Not a penny in my pocket or a stone of which to trade. Quenched my thirst with sips from the river, ate its fish and in it bathed.

[verse 3]  I wondered where I used to tread. As I grew tired I would forget.  Stick, stones, palm leaves I would collect. Tired feet, built a nest, laid down to rest.

[solo]

[verse 4]  In dreams I saw the ones I love, they smiled and seemed elated.

At a feast they sat as their tongues spilled tatter,  spirits high, while they all celebrated.  They now were free from my misdeeds,  the subtly applied torture that my selfish needs would bring.

[verse 5][chorus] Look into my eyes, look deep inside. what do you see. Something I must find, I lost as a child, where could it be.

Red Rover, Red Rover, send Ronnie on over Hold on, something's calling to me.  It comes from the basement, mis-stepped hit my head on the pavement,  for thirteen years I would wander in dreams.
