The practice of red teaming is a highly effective means of preparing a delegation for successful negotiations because it helps the delegation to identify and prepare for an opponent's negotiating goals, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. There are numerous ways to use red teaming, but the goal of each is to create a better understanding of the opposing party's views.
