Welcome to Embody This—the no B.S. healing podcast for ambitious, self-aware women who are tired of doing everything “right” and still feeling stuck in burnout, gut issues, emotional spirals, and survival mode.

Hosted by Lauren Michelle Jewell, mind-body practitioner, gut-brain expert, and sober, single business owner, this trailer episode breaks down exactly what to expect from this raw, real, and radically embodied podcast.

💥 Here’s what you’ll hear in this episode:

  • What Embody This is (and why the world doesn’t need another surface-level wellness podcast)
  • The truth about why you still feel disconnected even after therapy, diets, or breathwork
  • How nervous system regulation, gut health, somatics, and identity evolution are the missing links in modern healing
  • Why you can’t “fix” your way to freedom—and what to do instead
  • What it means to stop abandoning yourself and start becoming the woman you were always meant to be

✨ Whether you’re newly sober, reclaiming your singlehood, burnt out from hustle culture, or just done with chasing perfection—this is your space to unlearn, unravel, and fully embody your healing.

Because healing isn’t about becoming better.
It’s about coming home to yourself.

(00:03):
Welcome to Embody this, the NOBS Healing podcast for women who
are done playing small.
If you're in your thirties orbeyond and you've been through
the ringer, the heartbreaks, theidentity crisis, the diets, the
late night, what the fuck am Idoing with my life moments?
This is for you.

(00:24):
I am your host, Lauren MichelleJewel, a single sober business
owning badass who has beenhumbled as hell by healing.
And here's the thing, healingisn't a trend, an identity or an
aesthetic.
It's not a vibe, an Instagrampost or a meme that makes you
feel inspired for five secondshealing is embodied and it's

(00:45):
hard as fuck.
And it's also rewarding as fuck.
I know because I've lived it.
I've dealt with the gut issuesthat made me feel like a
stranger in my own body.
Nervous system crashes that leftme wired and exhausted all at
the same time.
Identity breakups that shatteredeverything I thought I knew
about myself.
And let me tell you, modernhealing methodologies, they're

(01:08):
failing us.
Everything is incrementalized.
They tell you, go to therapy, take the supplements, do the
inner work, but no one teachesyou how to integrate it all.
How to actually bring yourhealing into the way you eat,
move, think, and exist in theworld.
Healing isn't just about fixingsymptoms.

(01:29):
It's about learning how toactually live in your body
again.
So if you're done numbing, doneavoiding, and finally ready to
embody your healing, let's getinto it.
So what the fuck is embody this?
Well, this isn't anotherwellness podcast.
It's a space for women who'vebeen trying to figure it out and

(01:50):
just keeps hitting the same damnwall.
Maybe you've done all the rightthings, followed the diets, gone
to therapy, tried meditation, hired a coach, but you still
feel disconnected from yourbody, your purpose, and
yourself.
Maybe you've avoided healingaltogether because it felt too
overwhelming, too complicated,or like something other people

(02:10):
did.
Maybe the idea of doing the workjust made you roll your eyes
until now.
Or maybe you're just starting todip your toes into healing, but
you don't know where to begin.
And honestly, you just wantsomeone who can break it down in
a way that actually makes sense.
I get it.
'cause I was there.
Healing isn't about becomingperfect.

(02:31):
It's not about being a spiritualguru, a wellness influencer, or
someone who has it all together.
It's about learning how to workwith your body, your mind, and
your emotions in a way thatfeels real, a way that's
sustainable and doesn't requirea PhD in biohacking or a trust
fund for weekly therapy.

(02:51):
This is about undoing, unlearning, and finally coming
home to yourself and that that'sthe real work.
So here's what you can expectinside.
Embody this.
Real conversations that bridgethe gap between science,
self-awareness, and embodiedhealing, because let's be real,
healing isn't about knowingwhat's good for you.

(03:12):
It's about understanding how tointegrate it into your actual,
messy, real ass life.
Have you ever wondered whyyou're exhausted even after a
full night's sleep?
Why you wake up bloated eventhough you eat clean?
Or why your energy tanks everyafternoon, no matter how much
caffeine you throw at it?
That's what we're unpacking whenwe talk about gut health,

(03:34):
circadian rhythm, and functionalnutrition.
'cause how you feel isn'trandom.
See, your gut metabolism andsleep cycles are all deeply
connected to your mood cravingsand even your ability to handle
stress.
And if you've ever feltirritable for no reason, yeah,
your gut might have something tosay about that.
And what about those times whenyou know exactly what you should

(03:57):
be doing with your health?
But you just can't seem to doit.
Girl.
That's not a lack of willpower.
It is your nervous system andsomatic patterns running the
show, healing isn't just aboutchanging habits, it's about
retraining your body's baselinesense of safety.
We'll get into nervous systemregulation, somatics and
identity evolution, because thisis the missing piece in most

(04:21):
people's healing journeys.
And let's talk about coping.
Maybe you've quit drinking, butnow you're doom scrolling or
stress eating.
Or maybe you've thought aboutcutting back on alcohol with the
idea of feeling everythingwithout a buffer.
It's terrifying.
Sobriety addiction and emotionalcoping mechanisms aren't just
about what you're quitting.

(04:41):
They're about what you'relearning to face.
And let's not pretendrelationships don't reflect
everything we're workingthrough.
Whether you're hyper independentand avoidant, I don't need
anyone, or you fall hard andfast losing yourself in
relationships, your attachmentstyle and nervous system wiring
are playing a role.

(05:02):
That's why we're breaking downdating relationships and
attachment theory because yourpatterns show up everywhere, not
just in love.
And for my single woman, Heygirl, let's talk about celibacy
and self reclamation.
Maybe you're choosing celibacyfor healing.
Maybe you're single on purpose,or maybe you're just over the

(05:23):
pressure of being in arelationship at all.
We'll be diving into singlehoodcelibacy and what it actually
means to reclaim your body andboundaries.
And finally, we're getting intothe deeper layers of healing.
The ones mainstream wellnessloves to ignore.
I'm talking about plantmedicine, energetic sound
healing, and emotional release.
Because trauma, stress, andemotions don't just live in your

(05:47):
mind.
They actually live in your body.
And if you've ever felt liketalk therapy wasn't enough,
we're going to explore whyhealing has to happen on every
level.
Physical, mental, emotional, andspiritual.
So if you've ever felt likeyou're living in two different
worlds, the growth-oriented,self-aware version of you and

(06:09):
the real messy human you, thisis where they finally meet.
See, in my twenties, I did thetrial and error thing.
I chased love.
I numbed, and I tried to fixmyself with food, relationships,
with overworking.
I was always searching for thenext thing that would make me
feel whole.
Only to end up feeling moredisconnected than ever.

(06:31):
Then I hit my thirties and ithit me the fuck back hard.
I looked around and realizedthis is not the life I thought
I'd be living.
I had checked all the boxes, relationships, hustle,
self-improvement, but I stillfelt like I was running in
circles.
I was fresh out of a long-termrelationship, co-parenting my

(06:52):
dog.
Yes, really working in arestaurant while trying to build
a business and wondering if I'dever actually figure the healing
thing out.
My physical house was finallyimproving, but emotionally, I, I
was drowning.
To be honest, I remember sittingon my couch scrolling through
Instagram, watching all theseperfectly curated wellness

(07:14):
journeys, green juices, yogaretreats, morning routines that
look straight out of a magazine, and I just thought, am I the
only one whose healing processis this fucking messy?
Because no one was talking aboutthis part.
The part where healing isn'tjust therapy or just nutrition,
or just mindset work, the partwhere healing feels like you're

(07:36):
breaking apart before you putyourself back together.
The part where everything inyour life shifts, your
relationships, your identity, the way you see yourself, and
the way you see the world.
I had to start from scratch, notjust physically, but
emotionally, mentally, andspiritually.
I had to stop trying to fixmyself and start learning how to

(07:59):
actually live in my body.
And through all of it, I learnedthat healing isn't about
becoming better.
It's about becoming who you arealways meant to be.
And that's why I created thispodcast because you deserve the
truth about healing, not justanother high level reel.
So here's how this is gonna go.

(08:20):
Some episodes will be just medeep dive solo episodes where
I'll break down the shit no oneelse is talking about.
I'll take you inside my ownhealing process, pull back the
curtain on the science behindnervous system regulation, gut
health, somatics and emotionalhealing, and show you how to
actually integrate this intoyour life.
You'll also hear raw personalstories because healing is

(08:43):
fucking messy, and I'm not hereto pretend it's not.
We'll talk about thebreakthroughs, the breakdowns,
and everything in between.
I'll bring on expert guests, people who are challenging the
status quo in health, relationships, trauma and
personal transformation.
And most importantly, thispodcast is a no bs.
No trend chasing zone.

(09:03):
We are not here to play by therules of the wellness industry.
We are here to get to the truth, the kind of truth that actually
changes lives.
One of the most healing thingsI've ever experienced.
Well, it's authenticself-expression.
This podcast is part of that forme, for you, really for all of
us.

Episode one is all about theshenanigans of my life, who I
am, how I got here, and how Iwent from 15 years of addiction.

(09:48):
Yep.
You heard that right?
To total chaos.
To completely transforming mylife, getting sober, starting a
business, and now launching thispodcast when everyone and their
mother has one.
Let's fucking go.
