With excitement, Ash accepts, and the stage is set for an epic Metapod vs Metapod clash (difficultly level set to: harden). However, the battle takes an unexpected turn when a swarm of Beedrill swoop in, snatching Metapod and threatening to sting everyone in their path.

Pikachu gets injured and needs urgent care, so Ash rushes to the Viridian City Pokémon Center, where he encounters the mischievous Team Rocket trio - Jessie, James, and Meowth (that's right!). With Team Rocket setting their sights on stealing valuable Pokémon, Ash and Pikachu team up with a crew of Pikachu pals to defend the center... and Misty lends a helping hand too, kinda.
