(00:10):
Welcome to the Talent out Door Chef. I'm Charlote, I'm j and I'm
Grant. And for some people upin Dothan, they're going, what happened
to the third hour? Gary Sullivan? I was waiting to here's some more
home improvement tips. He doesn't rundolf he Uh okay, all right,
So this is the first airing ofthe Talent Outdoor Show in the Wiregrass Market,
(00:35):
Dothan on one O three nine onethree nine. Right, yep,
it's written right here on this spieceof paper in front of me. News
talk. And some of you allare going, but what on earth?
And uh well, bless your heart, you're hand for a treat. Yeah,
this is gonna be fun. Folkssay you gotta say Dothan al bam
(01:00):
when you say it, all rightfor us, So run for us,
run run jd. It's shouldn't belike I have run out of doth in
a time or two in my life. So all right, let's clear the
air right off the bat. NowTallahassee and the surrounding area um here on
one hundred point seven w F LA M. iHeart Studios, which is
(01:23):
where we are now until we buildour Studios, which is coming along quite
nicely. It's a bunch of boxes. Um. But uh, but we're
we're broadcasting out right now. We'rerecording in Preston Scott's studio and y'all all
know this in the Tallahassee area. But so we're gonna apologize a little bit
because we're gonna we have to introduceourselves too. And some of y'all have
(01:44):
been listening to us for a whileand you really are picking up bits and
pieces. So it's a day's anopportunity for you to go back and we
can reset and probably clear up somemisconceptions what y'all think about. Well,
we might make it worse, butall right, So um, we are
now brought casting in the Dothan andthe Wiregrass area and on News Talk one
(02:04):
or three point nine, which isa Digeo Strategy station. In addition to
our Tallhasse show. We are nowwhat do you call that syndicated? Yes,
I think you can two radio markets. Yeah, man, I tell
you, I tell you what.Um, Well, technically, y'all,
I'll get y'all pick up on thatlater. Technically, and we're about to
(02:29):
start doing some video based stuff andthat is on the world wide. Maybe
if I get y'all to behave Idon't know, I don't know. We
gotta We got an email from anice lady the other day. Did I
send that? Yeah? And Idon't disagree with it. I'm not necessarily
in disagreement with it either. Ithink that she's I'm glad she said it
and lead us back down. Yeah, righteousness. Basically, the email said,
(02:54):
y'all better act right. Y'all geton the y'all, get on the
y'all get on the video. Butto get right, everybody, to get
right with God, because Uh,I need a little bit of that guidance
over now and then a peach limbor something in that. I think it's
Fred. It's the problem is aproblem. There is no question about it.
I think we get a big enoughstick where we can reach Fred from
(03:15):
wherever we sitting and just reach him. I just just I might swing over
his head because oh I put Iput the table. I built table legs
for the studio table. Uh.Weldered them together the other day, and
um, I put pictures on Facebook. I said, you know it's gonna
be counted three feet. Fred's responsewas three feet's kind of high. Well,
(03:37):
no, it's no taller than anybar he's ever stood at, which
has been probably numerous. Uh hadto climb up on the barstool. Folks.
This is what this is what y'allgot to listen to. I like
to classify our show is uh infotainment. It's not really an infomercial. There's
some immercial part of it. Uh, and we talk about the range and
(03:59):
ill but uh, it's in focusinformation. But we hope it's entertainment because
honestly, if we come out onthe radio for an hour, okay,
Uh, statute number so and sosays that you might when your imminent fear
of death and grateful. Yeah, that's exactly what's gonna happen. Papa is
going to be in the recliner overthere. Sound a sleep watch? Uh
(04:20):
ask, no way. I waslistening to Town Lawership getting good Nash.
Oh oh. And the best thingabout NASCAR nowadays is with satellite, you
know you can or whatever you canrewind even stream you rewind and go oh
(04:42):
I missed the crash. Oh waita minute, how did so and so
get back in thirty four? Butthere's the crash, all right? So
the Wiregrass station um. And it'sit's odd that the broadcast tower here in
Tallahassee is not far from the range. Well, in Dothan, the broadcast
stier there is, you know what, not far from the range. I'm
(05:02):
pretty sure I get on the roofand see it over the pine trees there.
So the we're we're broadcasting in theElbe Brundage, Abbeyville, Ozark Enterprise,
Hartford, Geneva, Sampson, Graceville, Cottonwood, Ashford, Dothan Headland.
That's in the strong sign that's onehundred thousand whites, and it goes
(05:23):
all the way out past Troy.Um. You're over in Andalusia, Flora
Allah. We're broadcasting in Flora Allahand uh the Funiac Springs, Vernon almost
a freeport, Chattahoochee, Bambridge, cow quitt Uh all the way over and
you fall, you know. Andso when we get Paul and all of
(05:45):
Lake Seminole over there, so umMary Annam along blunts down Vernon all that
so from you know, the wholebunch of places where my family is from.
When when we bought the Dothan Range, and so this is JD and
I uh recently in the The reasonwe're in the wire Grass area on this
station now is because we bought fromDan Mitchell the Dothan Gulub Gun Club and
(06:14):
turned it into Talon Range of Dothan. Dan did a fantastic job of building
the facility up there over seven oreight years, an amazing amount of work
he put into it, and wantedto move on. UM, and so
he approached us and said, Iwant somebody to take care of of my
hard labor, right, And sowe've made you know, we've picked up
(06:35):
where he left off, and he'sactually helped. I mean, we were
building out some ranges and I wason the loader and Dan was on the
bulletozer and we worked together to makethe transition. And UM. But we
look at the radio markets and weknow from Tallahassee that radio works absolutely.
And you know, we we startedout you and I being coming in here
(06:56):
on Wednesday mornings and the press andScott and for those of you in the
wire Grass area press and the scotuh is the morning Uh. I don't
know what he's He is the conservativetalk stations version of Russ Limbaugh over here
doing and we're in his beautiful studio. UM and he is the guy.
(07:17):
When I used to go to workin the morning, hear some of the
bosses at the Sheriff's office. Theywould go, hey, did you hear
what Preston said on the radio thismorning? Man? He said so and
so what are we gonna do aboutit? I don't know? What do
you know him? When we mightmim a how to reach out to him?
And you know, he's been aforce to be reckoned with and in
the Tallahassee area radio marking. He'san extensive background is in sportscasting and TV
(07:38):
and all this stuff. And wewere blessed over the years by him to
come in and be the twice amonth more of the personal safety subject matter
quasi expert kind of answers. JD and I are were cops, you
know, or we identify as copsand don't drink blood light anymore. We
(08:01):
well, we're starting celebrating seven yearsof retire retire hood, um nine years.
Oh good lord. So it's umso pressing had us in here doing
this and one day Dale Bessie, our radio sales guy here in Tallahassee,
says, you guys want to haveyour on radio show at lunch and we
(08:24):
said, no, that's crazy.Well three hundred how many three hundred were
like three hundred three three three episodesover five or six years now. Uh
yeah, and it's on audible,Amazon Music, on iHeart, which is
our home network for our blog. But they pushed this stuff out to all
(08:46):
these streaming networks. So you goback and listening to every show all the
way back to the very beginning, and it's, oddly enough, sounds a
lot like this show. Um,same guys. Uh and we were already
old. It's we're even older now. So so all that's how we're getting
to the point of senility where we'rerepeating the same stories. Yeah, that's
you know, we figured you know, now we got a whole new audience
so we can say it all overagain and they've never heard it before.
(09:09):
So um, so we're gonna haveto take a break in a minute for
some commercials. It's probably gonna beus talking, you know, because that's
what we do. But we comeback, we'll pick up this story there.
Again. I apologize for for doingall this, so I tell us
in market like, man, Iwant to hear all that. I don't
want to here's something interesting, butwhatever we'll make you laugh for it.
(09:31):
End of the show. Eventually.Yeah, I'll tell you some stories about
JD. Please don't you don't wantto you know, I told you I
got ken folks and dothan and gracefuland all over the place up there.
You don't. You don't want tobe the truth now. I want to
let all that cat out. Theystill think highly of me most of the
time. I don't know what minethinking about me, but I tell the
(09:52):
stories they tell me about it.So don't get anything started. We'll be
writing back in just a minute.Do you need a trailer, then call

at Talon. J D and Iare proud to be sponsored by the great
(10:33):

Do you have pain radiating down yourleg or down the arm? Called doctor
Joseph Miller DC at the Tallahassee SpineCenter and ask about spinal decompression therapy at
eight five zero five eight zero fivetwo five two and we're back. So
(11:26):
the the way the show plays outis there's four segments. We have an
hour and U. It is paidprogramming. We pay for our time on
the radio, and then we haveadvertisers that help us pay for our time
on the radio. If we canrope somebody in that we say things about
them. Oh yeah. And thething is is and we use them.
We I don't think we have asingle advertiser that we don't do business with
(11:52):
in some fashion or we keep itsquatchy. You gotta keep it squatchy.
So but the thing is is wewe partner with advertisers a lot of times.
They're members of the range, whichis what we like. If they
come to the Rains, they utilizeour shooting facilities or go to our training
or whatever. And so we dohave some ads open ad Space Open and
(12:16):
Dothan and Talassi. We're full. We've been full for a while. We've
got very loyal sponsors, and shortof cutting the show shorter, we just
don't have any room for any moreadvertisers here. Although we do have packages
at both ranges where you can comeout and buy signs at the rains,
get a corporate membership. It's gotto comes, you know, if you
buy the corporate package that comes withthe four by six sign. We just
(12:37):
put the wall up in doth Inthe other day, waiting on sponsors.
I got to pick up the theTalent Outdoors Radio signed to go to Dothan.
Hopefully today they're done and have thatup. But we can put your
business signs up and you can geti think a corporate sponsor memberships, what
a thousand dollars a year. Youget two gold memberships and a sign um
(13:01):
and then you know, we'll getinto more of that as we go forward.
But so a lot of that goingon. Um we uh. But
we we got the show going hereyears ago. We've had a lot of
success with it. It's been alot of fun. The format is if
you walked into our gun store orour gun range and stood across the counter
(13:24):
from j D and I and wejust had a conversation about local stuff,
about politics in general, about um, you know what some of the stuff,
gun stuff, hunt fishing. Youknow. In our Tallahassee store,
it's in Midway, but it's aTallahassee store. You know we carry there.
We carry bait and tackle and andlive bait, and JD can talk
(13:46):
to you about what fishing line touse and lures and all that stuff.
Don't come to Dothan expecting me totalk to you about that, because I'd
go humh. But you can callme and I'll send it with you.
Yeah, I have it. Ihave it up there shortly. Yeah,
I mean you called j D andgo, hey, what's that tfo rod
y'all we're talking about? Can Iget one that's something something feat seven and
a half feet and a medium actionand something or another And yeah, absolutely,
(14:11):
Charlie pick it up Mondal on theway over there and have it there
for you. So if there's somethingyou're interested in, you can always call
j I'll give you his cell phonenumber on the break when he's not in
the room, and uh, y'allcan call. That's just what I need
is myself, my cell phone,my poor little cell phone battery. Yeah,
yeah, I'm gonna have to geta new phone. I think it's
it's done. It. So theway the show lays out, there's four
(14:35):
segments in Tallahassee now in Dothan rightnow. Since we don't have um a
lot of advertisers, we've we've gota couple um and it will pick them
up as we go. And soif you are interested in that, you
know, get up with us outat the at the range and um,
I'll give you some number. I'llgive you mine if you want to advertise
(14:56):
the But I'm gonna give you thenumber to the range and you can call
and they'll put you if you aregenuinely interested. Now, it's got to
be a business that we believe in. Um, it's got to be somebody
we can support. You've got tohave a good reputation and it's got to
be something that could We're not Wedon't just put advertisers on here. It's
not about the money. To us. We can afford to pay for this
(15:16):
show. We're fine, you know, but we would like some help.
Um. It's like anything else.You know, you you've, you've,
It's like you're gonna give us money, We're gonna take it. But at
the same time, you know,we want there to be a we want
there to be a relationship there.Um. So uh yeah, we're looking
forward to building the market in theWiregrass area because it's not that far.
(15:39):
Here's the other thing is that Idon't know about you, but I personally
identify better personally with the Dophan markets. Funny, that's right, that's right
where I was fixing to go.And that's the second time you've brought up
identifying Yeah, well we we Charlie, not do that a lot our brains
run together. But growing up inChattahoochee, uh, there you go.
(16:04):
Now you know my problems. Sogrowing up in Chattahoochie, having a a
aunt and uncle, that's like anotherset of parents to me. Living in
Dothan and um, you know,my my grandparents coming from Chipley and Graceful
area over there. And so wewent to Dothan more than we went to
(16:26):
Tallahassee as in my youth, Imean when I was growing up, my
my dentist was in Dothan. Myyou know, we we bought cars in
Dothan. We you know, that'swhere we went the shop because the kid
was first time I Chinese food wasat a restaurant. So we'd hit the
river road, we do. Wewe'd leave Chattahoochie, hit the river road,
go the back way up through thewoods and and all of a sudden
(16:48):
pop out in Dothan up there somewhere, you know, And that was that
was where we went to town. And you listened to the radio out of
dough and you listened to and youwatched TV out of Dothan man the Farm
Center on Friday night or Saturday night. Yeah. So j D's from Chattahoochee.
Um, I'm from Marianna. Soif you're in the wire Grass area,
(17:11):
you know where Marianna is. Um. If I'm over around Tallahassa,
sometimes I'm from Marianna. They go, I thought, I said Marietta,
and I ain't from maryatt I'm fromMarianna. You know, I'm from mary
and uh um and uh Jackson County. And my family goes back in Jackson
County a minute or two. Imean, the Rook side of my family
goes back to way back to thevery beginning of Jackson County. And then
(17:33):
you know, my I'm a Strickland. But that's because my my papa came
down during the war and worked atthe air base and married to Rooks.
And then my other papa, TonyPrimavera. If anybody in the Wara Grass
there has ever been to Marianna backin the day to Tony's restaurant, Tony
Fromavera was my grandfather and so I'vegot roots and he married a Redmond and
so there's Lord, you know, here's anybody in that area knows. And
(17:57):
people up in Oathlan we don't understandthat. Just to understand, I used
to go to we go to themovies in Dothan, we'd go to this.
I tell stories about going to Dothan. I met my first wife at
Cowboys, which is the story wewon't talk about anymore. Um, bless
her Heart's called me to day.She was nice about something. We actually
get along now, But you ain'teven always been the case. So well,
(18:19):
what happens. That's why it happenswhen you marry a girls stationed at
Fort Rucker in Cowboys. I mean, that's just bad news all the way
around. But uh, some Cowboysplace you speak of. Oh yeah,
like you've never been to Cowboys, right, I hypothetically might have got throwed
out of Cowboys before. I don'tknow. I don't know. Well,
(18:40):
I'm hoping the show turns into uh, some some offers to come try out
a restaurant or two up Ericas youknow, we go in Tallahassee. Everybody
knows this in Tallahassee. You knowthey hear us talking, specially we're together
and like as you're going to Rady, Yeah you were to go on the
radio, and um, I'm startingto get it in Dothan now because we'
been running some mads on on allof the Digio channel up there, and
(19:00):
it's been you know, walking tolows. Aren't you that guy? Yeah?
Yeah, so it's you know,so you'll go to Doth and I'll
go Are you that other guy might? Yeah, I'll be that other guy.
So you that guy that fell offa bridge that time when y'all were
building a thing across the creek andhe tried to fly, and those stories
of coming folks, because now thisis the opportunity to tell them all over
(19:22):
again. So we're excited. Listen. So when we bought the rangeing Doth
and there was some those out oftown guys, those guys from out of
town to the corporate corporate company comingin here, and yeah, everything's a
corporation. Dan was a corporation whenhe had the thing we bought it.
I mean, everybody's a corporation nowadays, or an LLC or something like that.
But you know, it's taking alittle while to explain everybody that we're
(19:45):
not just out of town conglomerate comingin to take over. We're just a
couple of rednecks from just across thestate line from Alabama. And you know,
it is what it is. UmI grew up farming on the south
side of Jackson County. So youknow, we run equipment, we've built
our ranges, added on to ourranges. We've we're we both grew up
(20:10):
on farms and raising critters and farmingand gardening and doing all the things.
And we've got you know, andthose of the stories you're gonna hear,
and so it's a lot of youknow, when we hear it, we
hear it all the time. Yeah, I was listening to other day,
Man, it just brought tears ofmy eyes because I was thinking about my
granddaddy and when we used to dothis and do that, and I y'all
told a story about the dogs.I mean literally we have been in the
(20:33):
studio in tears talking about our dogsbefore. I mean, it's tough.
And so then people go, Man, that reminded me of that's what this
show is. Plus, we're gonnatalk about the law, and we're gonna
talk about the Second Amendment because thatis basically the crux of our show is
the heart, you know, theheart of America and the meaning behind all
(20:53):
we do and the things that weused to defend it. We're gonna talk
about self defense. We're gonna talkabout tactics. We're gonna talk about the
latest firearms, old firearms. Jettyhas a wealth of knowledge as it relates
to old stuff. I'm looking forwardto when we get the video version of
the show goal, we can goin the other room to the vault and
(21:14):
bring in the latest trade in,which is some old world board one rifle
that came in and you can actuallyhold it up and go over all the
stamps and the cartouches or whatever youcall it, and the different this thing
right here, this pustle right here, This was owned by a Nazi so
and so right here. See thatright there, that's blood right now,
I see, you know it's athat's that's the kind of stuff that you
(21:37):
can expect from us um and aswe expand and grow, even which is
amazing because I thought, I rememberwhen we came here the first time.
We're sitting here going, I don'tknow if they're gonna have us back next
week, And I was like, how many producers have we had, you
know, grants, grants, grants, our producer, our executive producer,
(21:59):
about four that anything we've had allkinds of gone through a few yeah,
yeah, and we've every every ifwe've had success after success and we've got
to the point where it's just amazing, um that uh, you know,
I'm just as y'all are all goingon hide they get a radio show.
Well I'm just as surprised as y'allare. Yeah. Well, my wife
still says, I just can't believeanybody listens to the show. And she
(22:22):
said, it's it's Seinfeld. It'stwo rednecks doing a Seinfeld show about nothing.
You know, if you if youever watched Seinfeld, the premise of
the show is it's a show aboutnothing. You're just getting to step into
our life for an hour or so. And this is stuff that Charlie and
I a lot of times sit aroundand sit around and talk about. You
know, it's but it's you know, I enjoy having the conversations with our
(22:51):
friends and and and our instructors andand all that. And you and I
enjoy talking to each other, andwe get a lot of people that just
want to be part of conversation forsome reason. You gotta you gotta do
something for an hour on Saturday morning. Yeah, you might be mowing the
grass right now. Listen if youfeel like it, you welcome to come
mow my grass. He's gotta y'all. You can mow in a few minutes.
(23:12):
It's fine, he's got a zeroturn. We'll be back. Some
battles are worth fighting. They buildcharacter and teach important lessons. Other times,
the more we resist, the longerwe stay stuck. When a simple
change would change everything. Is yourbank holding you back? Try my bank
(23:36):
Prime Meridian Bank. Changing is easy. We'll show you how. Prime Meridian
Bank, Tallahassee, Crawfittville and onthe web at try my bank dot com.

commercial and residential work, has cometo my rescue on more than one occasion,
so I trust him to get itright. Monument t Spark Construction dot
com or call him at eight fivezero seven sixty six thirteen forty and we're
(24:45):
back. Well, we need totell everybody in Dothan because pretty much everyone,
I think everybody in tell hassee news. We're not live. You can't
call us. I hope I'm alive. Well we live, but we're alive.
We're just not the is not life. We record the show normally on
the Friday before it airs on aSaturday, right, because that was a
(25:07):
big misconception. I don't want tolead nobody astray. We don't have people
call in. Well, we do, but it's the day before, and
so you'll hear us say today tomorrow, we'll get things kind of message.
It gets, Yeah, it getsconfusing. And if you're listening to the
fishing segment and the fourth fourth segment, fourth hour, Lord, if we
were on for four hour, ifwe were to do that play, invite
us to do two hours one time, We're like, uh, we'd actually
(25:30):
have to plan the show out wedidn't work at that. It's uh,
you know we have to n Ican shove the manure for an hour,
I don't know that I want todo it for three man, i'd be
and if we did it any longerthan that, we'd be like, Okay,
Uh, we're gonna go back inthe first hour we talked about,
(25:52):
We're gonna do a wrap up nowand talk about all the things we talked
about them. That's how I knowof it's worth going back and listen to
all the Preston shows as I getin, Like I'll pick up towards the
end of the show and he'll goand he'll do that thing where he goes
back, we did this, this, this and this, and then I
go, I want to go backand listen to that, and then I
got nah or they want to hearthat. So not that I don't want
(26:15):
to hear everything you say, Preston. I know you're listening at some point
driving somewhere, some windshield time.See, this is a show that you
can go back and stream later on. So when you're driving from point A
to point b uh and you don'thave anything else to do, it's like
binge listening. Yeah, you knowyou binge watch on Netflix. You can
binge watch. Bit that's hard tosay being watch. By the way,
(26:37):
I made it to the second episodeof season five of The Last Kingdom.
Good, ain't it? I'm onseason I'm on episode five, season five.
I have me tell you what. Some people gonna die but brutally.
They just released a movie. Yeahyeah, and it's seven Kings Must Die
(27:02):
or something like that. Really, that's see, this is the crap we
just This is if you got likeeighty eight or a d D. This
is a good show to listen tobecause we're gonna bounce around. I got
us squirting their mind. Well,it wasn't it The first bat Church was
(27:22):
first self? Was there? Good? Paska? So all right, so
you're gonna hear some old school humorand some old school jokes. We've been
around for a minute. I remember. Just let's talk about for our Dothan
audience just a little bit. Sogrowing up? I what what was a
commercial? You remember, hey, hired, what you're doing up there?
(27:45):
I'm tearing down these prices, gettingdown these low prices. That King French
applace is still there, and Ithink to advertise with these stations if I'm
not mistaken, but uh that andthen um and um you Red Holland show,
the Red Holland. I remember himadvertising for somebody. And it was
back when satellite and when everybody hadthe giant satellite dishes in their yard.
(28:08):
Remember foot across huge satellite dishes, and old Red Holland out there and with
a with a with a with anumber three wash tub and come on in
satellite, come on pointing to watch. I googled him the other day just
to see what I you know, what was out there, and you know,
(28:30):
and it was the old Uh youknow, I've been working all week,
dead tired on my feet, youknow the show, the song that
led into the show. And I'llgoing fishing and we read and U and
you know we have a segment foursegment We're fishing with Paul and uh,
Paul, tell you what, tellyou what? And uh, Paul's on
Paul's bass fishing, brim fishing guide, fishing guide on Lake Seminole. Has
(28:53):
become a really good friend of oursand been fishing with him and all that
good stuff him. Get Charlie togo fishing with him in your spare time.
UM, go there, But umwe will get there eventually. Um.
So yeah, and uh and soJD and I like to travel.
Um and we go to South Dakotapeasant hunting. We go places hunting for
(29:15):
four legged critters. We go fiton fishing trips. We do things and
we bring that back here and wetalk about it, and uh, Paul
talk, Paul talk about you knowsome of old you know what baits and
stuff working and what what's what you'llget that, but um the uh,
I'll sit over here and look upsomething else on the phone while they're talking,
(29:36):
because they get over my head realfast like. But if you're a
dedicated fisherman, you'll get it.And um, so we're gonna have we'll
do some stuff on you know, how to use you know, talk about
flashlights and guns and things, andit's the legal issues. We will talk
politics. And if you're I mean, if you're gonna listen to our show,
(29:59):
particularly, will we we expand togo to some of our video content
and all, you know, youmight want to put on your big girl
panties because sometimes we hurt people's failure. We might hurt somebody's feelings. We
might say something that if you can'ttake a joke. If you don't have,
you know, a Southern sense ofhumor, then you know, I'm
sorry. You know it's uh,we're but this is me and Jad talking.
(30:23):
I mean we we're we you knowyou heard it. Probably to be
in the Views and Opinions Express andthe following paid program do not necessarily represent
this is us. This is ourtime on the radio. We're gonna tell
the stories we want to tell. We're gonna tell the jokes we want to
tell. Um, they won't bedirty, they won't be cursed words other
you might slip a light one inthere that the FCC allows. Every once
(30:45):
in a while. Um, we'lltry to use the family friendly version,
the stuff you'd say around you, mama, you know you mom, and
them goes, uh, it's uh. We we have to because we have
to understand that they're you know.We try to be as family friendly as
we can. However, there mightbe the occasion when your grand young eluxtion
you goes, uh, what didthat mean? And I'm gonna leave it
(31:07):
up to you to explain it.So I think that that is an opportunity.
Yeah, this is a learning opportunity. It's a teaching time for you
to maybe so so be ready.Um there again, it's seldom, but
don't you know, don't call thestation and fuss because they can't help.
But all they need is kicks offof here. And we don't want that
(31:29):
to happen. We been kicked outof this studio in all these years,
and I felt like if that wasgonna happen, it happened a minute or
two ago. Um yeah. Nownow we have a following, so it
gets harder. Although U who gotTucker Carson found out the other day you
can get booted if you Yeah.I think that was more Fox News taken
after bud Light and just said, hold I mean, you know, we
(31:53):
see how bad I can mess upeverybody that hold my beer and what says
hold my blood light? And what'sthis? You know it's uh, I'm
I think I can screw up worse, and it keeps getting worse and worse.
We talked about maybe Lane the otherday. You know, maybe it's
maybe he was born with it.Maybe it's maybe Lane. You know,
it's uh, you know, I'msorry the US Navy. Oh yeah,
(32:16):
yeah what that hey? You knowwe want to we want to toughen up
our image a little bit because youknow a lot of times people say things
about the Navy, and you know, being on the ships with a bunch
of men the whole time. Youknow. But now now let's let's straighten
that out right this minute. Youknow what are we doing our spare time?
Well, we were stressing up dragqueens and and you know, well
(32:42):
I do support our military and ourand our fighting navy. But you wanna
get you wanna get somebody mad.My Paul, my paul in law,
who was a Navy corman just likeyourther was. And buddy, you talk
about somebody to get sideways in aminute, you start talking about that.
And now he's so mad because youknow, oh man, which is I
think why he flies a marine flagoutside the US Marine Corps flag outside the
(33:04):
house as opposed to us name mydad, my daddy, My daddy wore
a hat. Um. Now,he was a Navy corman indent um,
you know, combat veteran, purpleheart, three purple hearts, bronze star
and all that stuff. You know, that's that's who raised me and um.
But he wore when he was inuh Sim's Hospital down in Panama City
was a VA hospital and his uh, towards the towards the end, he
(33:28):
uh, he wore a Marine Corpshat m and you know, but he
finally got to where it's aid corman. He's wearing a Corman anyway. But
and he he you know, hefought with the Marines. I mean that's
one. You know, he didn'tget wounded on a boat. He got
wounded, um in combat, youknow, in Way City and places like
that. Um blown off of pieceswith an RPG. We got all you
(33:50):
know he got anyhow, And uh, but that's that's that is what it
is. But the world, theworld has, for lack of a better
description, going to hell in ahandbasket and seems to be headed further that
direction faster. I just told themwe weren't going. Well, that's not
really cursing. I's talking about aplace. That's a place. It is
a place. And when I tellyou to go there, you know that's
(34:13):
that's well, you're cursed me out. No, I just told you to
go. It's like saying run downto Walmart. I mean, I just
it's just you know, that samething to me. I don't I don't
even want directions to there. Well, they got one on the cot everyone
you self check out now probably wrapback. Are you tired of that chainsaw
(34:35):

we were on the break. We'regetting Paul on the on the phone.
I just signed some renewal long documentsfrom Prime Ready and Bank. Just boom
(36:30):
boom boom. Signed everything on thephone in about ten or fifteen seconds.
I don't even have to go overto the bank or nothing. I don't
have to print thathing out scan it. Well, Bubba ain't there today anyway,
anyhow, So that's uh. Anyhowwe gets the fishing segment. We
got Paul. We're recording early today. We weren't sure if we's gonna be
(36:51):
able to get him, but wedid. Not only did we get him,
we got him live on the air, sitting on a brimbed somewhere on
parts unknown. He doesn't generally shareof exact GPS locations, but he's sitting
on a brim bed in like seminoleand I'd really like to be there with
you, Paul. I'll tell youwhat, it has been a blast,
(37:12):
this one and catching them the brimhave been so pretty. They got the
red breast. You know, it'sbeen it's been awesome. We're trying to
catch for Sherl Cracker this money, but they kind of backed off a little
bit, so went to a rimbed and hout of blast catching them catching
blue gills or river brim. Thosered bellies I think they were the red
bellies orange what we call a riverbrim. Probably. Man, you talk
(37:40):
about some fine eating when you dropthat in some peanut ole with some with
some uh hoovers cornmeal on there, that nothing better on the planet than that,
ain't well. I got the wisestwith me and uh they wanted to
catch them, get something to takehome and eating. Now we're trying to
get we're starting. We just startedbass fishing. Just pull up to the
(38:02):
spot. We're starting to do somebass fishing. Now what are you uh
at? What technique are you usingthe bass fish? What are you doing?
We're starting off this morning throwing aplastic warm how like a sinko?
Yep, And that's what we're doing. That bite has been working the pretty
good yet to fish it really slowthough the top water bikes starting to turn
(38:23):
on to j D. Yeah, some really good fish on a frog this
last week. When we get alittle bit warmer temperature and uh get the
weather to calm down a little bit, which I think it's fixing too.
So I'm sure the frog bite willbe uh be quite quite good here momentarily.
Have you seen any may flies onthe lake? Because it is me.
(38:43):
I thought, yes, I sawa few of a couple of days
ago. I thought there's going tobe a hash but then it nothing.
But it's like you're saying, anyday. You know, last year they
didn't start to late yep, andthen they didn't end the late either.
Yeah, I did see a few. I haven't seen a major one yet,
but it's coming any day, man, get mayfly hatch and like some
(39:06):
old lak you follow, that isjust uh wonderful time of the year.
Nothing like it. But well,I'm glad to hear that. Sorry we
missed you last week, and thatjust happened from time to time. We
had some technical difficulties. But andPaul, I don't know if you're aware
of this or not have been keepingup, but we are building our own
studio at the at the range Umin the process of that. This is
(39:30):
the first show that you're on.This show the first show to air up
and up in Dothan. So ifyou start getting a bunch of three three
four area code phone calls to gofishing with you, you'll know why.
Oh yeah, well, welcome, welcome to uh one of the greatest talk
shows on radio. I tell youthat, man, I have a lot
of people that that I'm out inthe community of Nason, right, I
(39:52):
know, I know you from fromjad and Charlie. Yeah, there you
go, and you have people comeand you have people from literally from all
over the world come to lake someof the old to get fishing with you.
I've we've taught to you with guestsfrom Alaska and other countries and whatever
else that come to the bass fishingcapital of the world want the findest bass
(40:13):
fishing lakes on the planet and togo to go fishing with you. So
we're happy that we can put theword out that hey we know a guy
on lick some of the old they'lltake you to catch fish. That's right.
Well, I sure to appreciate y'all, man, and I really look
proud of being a part of theof the show with what we're doing and
sharing, you know, sharing thepassion for the love of fishing. Now
that's what it's all about. Yep. There's uh one thing one yep.
(40:34):
One common thing that we try toget across is for the grown folks like
us to get involved with your kidsand get your kids fishing. If you
get them, get them fishing andhunting, you won't have to go get
them out of jail. So soall right, Paul, Well, we
appreciate you being part of the showand tell folks how they can get a
hold of you. Find you giveme a call at eight five zero two
(40:57):
six four seven five three four. They can reach out to me on Facebook
at Captain Paul Tire Fishing and Ican send me am assion through that.
Man. I'm looking forward to meetingall those folks. Get folks over and
and do some fishing with them. All right, buddy, Well y'all be
safe on the water. Hope tocatch that big one. Yes, yes,
sorry, y'all have a blast weekend, all right, buddy, you
(41:17):
too. Yeah. We we tryto check him with Paul from time to
time, and sometimes he's not inthe place where we can get a hold
of him, or we get tiedup with something else, or something doesn't
work phone line stuff. It's it'sgonna happen. But we try to have
him on the show every week andjust kind of get the check in of
what's going on on them. Soif you're looking for Captain Paul tire Fishing.
It's p a U L t yr E. Yep, not like
(41:40):
you know not Yeah, no,it's t y r E. And uh
there's some He puts a lot ofcool pictures and stuff up there on his
social media, So yeah, easyis it's fun to follow him because you
get to see a whole bunch ofkids. Uh. One of the things
we didn't touch on real quick, but Paul has Uh he's featured and it's
been featured in the news, buta couple of different magazines and newspapers run
(42:04):
here. His goal a lot oftimes is to take kids to catch their
personal best and last year he hadover a hundred customers catch their personal best
largest largemouth bass they've ever caught withhim in the boat with him, So
he knows what he's doing. He'sa great, good, good Christian man,
great guy to go with and alot of fun. And I'm taking
my mom and my aunt Mill thatlives up in Dothan. She'll meet us
(42:28):
down there and we go get onthe shell cracker bed when he can find
a good one and just have abig time. So we appreciate him being
part of the show. I'm lookingforward to with our new student, We're
gonna have a little more room onmicrophones, more stuff that we can have
a greater number of guests. Plusbeing at the I mean I love it
here in the studio, but beingright outside our office and right out with
(42:50):
right where all our stuff is,and we can have all of our friends
come in and be guess. Yeah, so you're going to get introduced to
a whole new level of silly andcrazy informational. I mean, you know,
I'm looking forward to. I wantto get James back on um we
missed this Turkey season and talk aboutthat. I want to get some all
right, we've got a gunsmith inthe house. Now we need to talk
about yep um and uh, youknow, get get people in to talk
(43:15):
about things they know. I wantmy stepdad Robert um Uh, I had
the biggest team talking. I wanthim in the studio telling story. He
was telling stories at dinner the othernight and I'm going, man, he
told one that I'll tell you afterthe show. But I got to get
him on the show because what's funis he's telling the story in all seriousness
(43:37):
and I'm just steady making fun ofhim the whole time, and um,
and he's laughing. He thinks it'sfunny. I got to hear about his
uh, his uh rock hunting, peacock bass fishing trip to South Florida the
other day that at the Gun Countyhe swung by the range and was well,
he was, he was, hewas. He stayed at a homeless
camp digging for Crystal. I know. I'm like, that's the story I'm
(44:02):
talking about right there, and we'renot telling Mike Crystal myth we're talking,
but I can see, but Ican see right now. I told him,
I said, we're gonna have totell this story. He's gonna come
on here and tell the story becauseI'm I'm like, well, he said,
yeah, we had to dig downthere to the concrete slab try to
find it. No, we gotsome of this, And I said,
Egypt, there was homeless people andthere was over there. There's next time,
me gonna very very and I gotall here and I heard the woman
(44:22):
and then so and then he Isaid, I could see Robert, they're
gonna go down there and clean outthat homeless camp. You're gonna go to
jail. Um because he drives alittle bit older pickup trucks, you know,
and it's an old Ford Ranger andjust got all this junk in it
and stuff. And then you werewearing sweatpants and crocks, which is his
(44:42):
formal attire. And um, andthen you're over there looking like you look,
and they're gonna and they and therumor gonna be around. Marianna.
You heard about what happened to RobertHEINSI didn't you. Yeah, he was
in South Florida, rested a homelesscamp, digging for crystal meth. And
no, it wasn't myth. Wellthat's what I heard, you know,
you know how the rumor mill is. Well, I made the comment when
he came into the store to theday on his way through way through town.
(45:05):
He uh stopped in the store totell me. And I'm pretty sure
that's the first time I've ever seenhim with his shirt on that didn't have
a hole in it. Well,he was probably just made you Mama mad,
but that was his Probably his formersays the same thing. I mean,
he's he's uh he we put thevideo cameras on their house. Um,
so you know, they wanted camerason their house and and so I
got some of these wireless cameras putout there and got them because where they
(45:29):
so they can log into their phoneand see what's going on around the house
if somebody pulls up. And uh, the other day, Robert comes back,
just just filthy from doing something andhe decided they're in the middle thirty
acres, nobody can see their backporch, and he strips down button neck
and on the back porch, goin the house and the cameras sitting there
pointing right at it. And Istill got access to the cameras. And
(45:49):
his motion detector goes off, andI'm thank you, check you mean you
had act you have turned. I'massumed turned that particular And then Robert he
gets in the house and then hesays, I was in there about fifteen
to twenty minutes. So I said, oh, oh my god, I
didn't rid oh, and my momis telling me the story how funny it
is. And I said, youknow, I still got access to cameras,
(46:10):
right because because I got to makesure they're working for you. But
uh, what day and time wasthat? She was wise, because I
don't want to go back and lookat that one anyway. We're gonna we're
gonna sign out for this week. That was four, that's four time flay,
it's actually five and doth thing becausewell you'll have they getting an extra
(46:30):
segment in the middle. Um anduh, yeah, this is gonna be
fun. Welcome to the party.Yeah, tell all your friends because uh
they can come up here and makepoke fun at us too. We're hoping
all you folks in the will entertainenjoy this as much as I tell hassee
audience has over the years. Anduh and if you don't like it,
(46:51):
just don't bother calling us. Thebutton on there you can switch the channel,
all right, See you on aweek
