This is the podcast of Dr. Anil K Rajvanshi (https://nariphaltan.org/shortbio.pdf). He is currently the Director and Hon. Secretary of Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) (https://nariphaltan.org). He has more than 43 years of experience in renewable energy R&D and rural development. He did his B.Tech and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from I.I.T. Kanpur in 1972 and 1974 respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Mech. Engg. from University of Florida, Gainesville, USA in 1979. He was also on the faculty of University of Florida (Dept. of Mechanical Engineering) for 2.5 years before returning to India in 1981 to work at NARI. Anil Rajvanshi is a spiritual engineer! A mechanical engineering graduate of IIT Kanpur in early 1970s he went to U.S. for higher studies. In a fit of madness and arrogance, he left a very lucrative career in U.S. and came back in 1981 to rural India thinking that he will change India! India did not change but he changed. In the process of developing renewable energy technologies for rural areas he discovered himself and the great spiritual traditions of India. He runs a small rural NGO called Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute in Phaltan, Maharashtra and has a passion of writing articles on spirituality and rural development. His articles have been published in Times of India (Speaking Tree); Huffington Post and Thrive Global, South Asia Monitor and syndicated in various other News lines. He has 5 books to his credit and has written more than 250 articles on rural and sustainable development including the interface of spirituality and technology. He is passionate about teaching youngsters and gives inspirational lectures all over India and some abroad. His mantra is Spirituality + Technology = Happiness and lives in a simple and holistic way in rural India.
Death is inevitable, but this episode reframes it as a physical process—rooted in the brain, body, and cellular systems—and explains how fear grows from losing identity, the unknown, and the anticipation of pain. Drawing on neuroscience, near-death reports, cellular memory hints, and dying-brain activity, it shows how understanding physiology can soften terror.
Practical takeaways: better pain management, emotional resilience, and ...
Explore how the living body is an adaptive, self-regulating system that seeks balance—healing itself through homeostasis and a deep link to its environment. The episode connects modern biology with traditional wisdom to show why maintaining equilibrium is central to health.

Death is the most certain thing for any living entity and yet we know so little about it. It may come earlier or later in life but the inevitable always happens. Yet we carry out our actions and behave as if we are immortal and death does not enter our scheme of things. In a way that maybe a go...
I think all thinking Indians who love this great country have a vision for its future. Most think about it but very few write it down. Naturally that vision is dictated by their existing circumstances, their history and the forces acting on them at the time when they write the vision document.
Same is with me and what I have given in this podcast is a distillation of all my work and dreams that I have for India. I have written ...
Sleep and dream are still the two major mysteries of the brain. Since time immemorial mankind has been intrigued as to why we sleep and what is the nature of dreams.
Various theories exist about the sleep process. We spend almost one third of our life sleeping. There must be a good reason why nature makes us sleep for this much time. Now slowly but surely scientific investigations are unraveling this puzzle.

This is a podcast by Dr. Rajvanshi (https://nariphaltan.org/shortbio.pdf) on how to reduce the fear and pain of death. It is based on a longish essay written by him. https://nariphaltan.org/deathfearandpain.pdf
Death is a very physical process and is the final exit of the body. Hence, I felt that it should be governed by physical, physiological and neurobiological laws. This thinking has led to this small essay and podcast.
