Limbo Calling is a surreal audio drama and variety show, presented as a series of unusual radio reports. Operator 83 is a radio operator working alone in Limbo. Stationed at a remote outpost beneath a constant drizzle of radio static, he monitors the scruffy airwaves and files reports to an unanswering HQ. These reports contain weird and wonderful fragments of life in Limbo — both on the airwaves and within the outpost itself. Limbo Calling experiments with radio drama, eerie sound design, music, dark humour, and the supernatural into a calmly unsettling listening experience for curious ears.
Monthly dispatches begin January 24th 2024. Limbo Calling is a series looking at the restored dispatches of an anonymous radio operator, found in the Radio Limbo archive.
