Xena and Lisa from CASA DeKalb County were our Guest DJs. We talked all about what CASA is, what they do, and heard from a volunteer advocate! Lisa shared what its like to be a volunteer with CASA in detail. We also highlighted many great events happening to support CASA in April!

Samantha and Patrick from the DeKalb Public Library were our Guest DJs. We talked about some awesome things happening in April at the Library. Between after hours concerts, goat yoga, new tools in the open lab, and more, there is a ton to do!

Zach from the Kishwaukee Family YMCA was our Guest DJ. We highlighted a great special they have to join the Y this month! Plus, Healthy Kids Day is April 10th. We highlighted that event and it's also the kickoff to register for summer camp!

Kristen, Addison, Kate, and Kara from Sycamore High School Orchesis were our Guest DJs! We talked all about their show Dancing on Air - From Radio Waves to Streaming Days which is this weekend at Sycamore High. This show has up to 400 dancers of all different genres, ages, and its a can't miss event!

Heaven from the DeKalb County Mental Health Board and Jake from Sauk Valley Voices of Recovery were our Guest DJs. We started with two new grants from the Mental Health Board and we discussed what Sauk Valley Voices Of Recovery is! We went over what they offer and how to contact them. Plus they have an Easter Egg Hunt on April 12th at Hopkins Park open to all.

Andy and LaCretia representing Kishwaukee United Way were our Guest DJs. We talked all about what they do, who they serve, and how they unite the community. We highlighted their Empowerment Luncheon on March 19th which is also a celebration of the work they do! Tickets are available for one more day so get yours now.

Krissy from the Genoa Area Chamber was our Guest DJ. We talked about some of the fun things they do but specifically highlighted the Home and Business Expo which is this Saturday March 7th. You can also find the Taste of Genoa there and the GKHS Band Mattress Fundraiser as well. It's all going down in one location!

Jessi from JF Glidden Homestead was our Guest DJ. We talked about Soup-er Sunday, a great program at the DeKalb Public Library about Jacob Haish, and of course springtime at the homestead. It's a great time to volunteer as we move into the new season.

Beth and Kirsti from Safe Passage were our Guest DJs. We talked about April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month. They have two big events in April including their Walk A Mile event at the Convo and their Take Back The Night Vigil as well. They also have some fundraisers at Farranda's and Willret Flowers as well.

Ben Bingle from the DCNP/Give DeKalb County was our Guest DJ. We talked all about the first steps in registering for Give DeKalb County. You need to be a DCNP member by March 1st in order to see if you can participate as a non-profit! We go over everything you need to know to get started.

Mikayla from the DeKalb Park District was our Guest DJ! We talked about a ton of great events coming up. From a family skate night, to egg hunts, to golf, there is a TON going on!

Samantha from the DeKalb Public Library was our Guest DJ. We talked all about World Of Reading which is coming up in March. This is a huge event for them where they have six immersive worlds you can dive into. We also highlighted a Sourdough Class, a Ragtime Concert, and a program on the Rockford Peaches. All which are in line with the America 250 celebration.

Greg from Arcomusical was our Guest DJ! We talked all about their big event on Sunday, Transformation Through Rhythm! It will be at Dekalb High School at 3pm and feature several different performances. It will be a lovely day of music that is also a fundraising event in support of DCNP’s 2026 Give DeKalb County Bonus Pool.

Sarah and Anne from Barb City Manor were our Guest DJs. We talked all about their resale shop! They have a sale going on right now where specific items are half off. They are also taking donations as well. Plus, they have a few apartments open as well.

John from DeKalb County United and Tim from the Sycamore Education Foundation were our Guest DJs. We highlighted what each organization does and who they serve! We specifically talked about the Bar Crawl coming up on 2/28. This is not only a fun bar crawl and a day to get out but, it will benefit the Sycamore Education Foundation.
