The whole team is gathered here today to once again discuss the passing of Cory Monteith, and by extension Finn Hudson. But we're doing it through the medium of a glee recap podcast so naturally we're also gonna discuss Acafellas royalties, a valid assault, and pulling a Gone Girl. This is a show about contrasts, y'all.

For the benefit of our listeners, there's another Glee tribute episode! On trampolines! But instead of diving too deep into the band's experimental era, the episode is just kinda jumping from song to song. It's terrible to Tina and also to every bisexual, and Will is definitely an anti-vaxxer now, but at least we figured out how to make the club strive for greatness and what Sam's position is in the bedroom.

The fifth season of Glee needed to start off with a bang before dealing with Cory's passing, so they sang the Beatles. Tanner and Christina are right there to sing along with it, as well as determine the de facto makeout classroom, debate if we know what Jesus said, and remind ourselves that we live in a post-glee world.

Christina started a bit at the beginning of this season, and now that alien Christmas ornament has finally come home to roost. We watched DA PUMAMAN, and we didn't even have our own personal forcefields to protect us. Ah well, it's just a movie - we should really just relax.

Season 4 kinda spoke for itself, in the sense that it's a fever dream that drove us up the wall in harrowing-yet-understandable ways. As such, we don't have very many Qs to A in this episode, but we did manage to stretch them out into an hour's worth of audio...most of which is fantasy booking a Digimon crossover. But what are you gonna do? We have a brand, or something.

It's the end of season 4! Somehow, Joe and Sugar have returned. Tanner and Christina determine if the finale can put an adequate button on a season of wheel-spinning, while also observing body-roll enrichment, vibes-based choreography, and Pope Popplio I the PokePope.

The end is...nigh? For season four? That can't be right, it feels like they only just started getting their act together - the finale is next episode?! But there's so little happening in this episode. Sure Mercedes is smoove, Kitty is smirking schemily, and fear is the mind killer, but when is that not happening? At least we get a brief glimpse into Artie's interiority.

This week we are joined by Alice to discuss "Sweet Dreams", an episode that we ended up liking thanks to most of the weird parts harkening to a season 1 level of ludicrosity (even if a handful of characters have quirky comedy PTSD). Finn is majoring in slip-n-slide, Rachel is wearing a suit of Barbra's skin, and Gay Blaine has a new Gay Nickname.

Glee did a Very Special Episode so thoroughly that we had to do one too. This is season 4, episode 18 "Shooting Star", and it deals with a school shooting at the school. There was no way we could make any jokes about this one, so if you're willing please enjoy this short episode which is just our thoughts and criticisms against what this episode put out.

Sometimes we bring guests on for a fun and then it turns out they have a fascinating insight on the contents of the glee of the hour. This is not that. This is Tanner and Ryan thinking of a single bit and then the latter being caught along for the ride as Christina tries to explain why this episode, in the grand scheme of things, isn't even that bad. Like, it's got a macaroni Kurt, maracas that probably aren't offensive, and Kitty ...

This week is a mess, but at least it's a brain-smoothing mess. It's time for a FEuD! Will's old son vs his new son! Logic vs Sue Sylvester! Kitty vs moral decency! And Tanner and Christina are just along for the ride, like the hardcore friends they are.

True Divas never die, but this episode almost took us out.
