It was a dark and rainy day when I learned how to begin to break the stigma of drug abuse for my wonderful patients who were afraid of embracing Recovery and were coming to me for compassionate understanding , a shoulder to lean on and not be directed by some amorphous judgmental healthcare provider. I've been prescribing the partial opioid agonist for over a decade now. I liken this medication to be effective "chemo-therapy" in OUD = opioid use disorder. I have discovered with a myriad of patients the most efficacious method of dosing the life-saving medication. Sure. it tastes like crap and tons of my patients say these methods work like "da bomb!"
