The Battle of Pittsburg Landing also called the Battle of Shiloh is Grants first great victory of the war. He defends and defeats a rebel army of similar size and forces thier army into a messy retreat. Glory to the Union. Huzzah!

This is the first major campaign for the newly founded army of the Potomac. We will talk the politics of campaign. 

Honestly having listened to this again we did a pretty bad job. We didn't really touch on the wheeling convention and we did a terrrible job discussing rebellion in the south. Its constant and wide spread and lead by Black people. 

In this episode I accidently refer to Braxton Bragg as the man who invades Kentucky. He does... but not till 1862. In 1861 the Bishop Polk invades Kentucky. Whoops. I should make an amendment. Anywho. Its an episode about war!
